We don't need them jumping into our affairs.Though this plane was made in the 1980s by McDonnell Douglas, the U.S.A is getting involve because Boeing, an american company, now owns Mcdonnel Douglas in a merger that took place in 1995. The U.S.A and the NTSB always investigates every crash involving american plane companies around the world. The fire fighters and first responders did not arrive there in time because: 1 - Massive crowds gathered and blocked streets for miles / Nigerians not having etiquette in situations like these 2 - The streets in that area are narrow and hard to navigate [most likely cause by illegal / close construction of homes] 3 - Lack of quantity of equipment and personnel / lack of training |

People should be thanking the engineers and the navy who were the ones behind this projects. This project was started years ago and GEJ had nothing to do with it, He is just commissioning it.. Beaf: The project was dead and only revived under GEJ.Yes the project received its final phase of funds during GEJ administration but GEJ as an individual had nothing to do with it. I believe it was the ministry of finance along with the CBN that gave them the funds and the navy and engineers built the vessel. Plus GEJ didn't say anything nor did he give himself credit for this, its only those on nairaland and the Internet who are. |

Better yet Anioma state can be carved out of delta state and added to the south east zone while two state in the NW zone can merges reducing it back to 6. Then every geo-zone will have six state and the number of states in nigeria will remain 36 not 42 |

since 1967 we have been creating more and more states but nigeria get less and less developed. Creation is not the answer to development but rather a way for new thieves to stuff their wallets. If you want to create equality then reduce every geo-political zone to 5 states. Empower the state government so they have more responsibilities / power and decentralize power from the FG so those who want to progress can progress. They should also decrease the number of LGAs and empower them to have REAL responsibilities and not just to hand out salaries. If states are really created then I know for sure nigeria will collapse. the same 36 states that couldn't even pay a small rise in minimum wage of fear of going bankrupt. they want to add 6 more unviable states. Sometimes i question the sanity of some nigerians. You would rather live in a state with your own ethnic group that is broke, unviable and has no future all in the name of ethnic pride than live in a state with other ethnicities that is viable and does have a future. Thats Insane!!!!! And Cut the Equality B.ullshit!!!! If you wanted equality then people and the FG will be advocating for 5 states in each geo-zone and not state creation. Cutting back the number of states saves money, is more manageable, allows for competition and criticism and creates equality. Increasing the number of state increase the number of government salaries, reduces the budget, creates less political competition and less criticism but only creates equality. Its common sense. . . . .its not about equailty, ITS ABOUT SOME / NEW POLITICIANS FINDING NEW WAYS TO GET JUMBO PAY AND SOME ETHNIC EDIOTS BLINDLY FOLLOWING THEM ALL IN THE NAME OF ETHNICITY. REDUCE THE NUMER OF STATES IN EACH ZONE TO 5. . . SIMPLE |

If i'm not mistaking the second rail project is the redline. It will run on the existing NRC tracks or corridor [i forgot]. All the investors and lagos state have to do is buy the rail cars, construct a thrid rail and the train stations and install rail signals. I dont believe they will be building any new rails since NRC and the FG rehabilitated that rail line not to long ago. but i may be wrong |

There is even a storm water masterplan that is under construction in the city. Rural roads on the other hand don't really need "drainage".They can allow runoff onto the natural bush 1 Like |

DRL make it easy for people to see a vehicle [even on sunny days], thats why it is mandatory in canada and a few states in the USA. I'm surprised that no one mentioned Sule Lamido of jigawa state. He has done well up north and i'll put him in my top 5 preforming governors. But the fastest developing states are [in no order] edo, jigawa, rivers, cross rivers, imo, enugu, akwa and lagos but the first states to be fully develop will be either cross rivers or akwa |

So they went and gathered up all Chinese looking people, arrested them, then brought them to the police command station and then they ask if they have proper documents after arresting them for no other reason except they way they look? What is this ARIZONA  ? Since when can you just arrest someone for looking a certain way? Well with cheaper labor and cheaper cost of materials it is easier to build a bigger house in nigeria than to build or buy one abroad. I wont be surprised if someone living in one of those hows was a plumber. |

DaRapture: The AK is a wasteful second hand weapon, a poor man's M16/M14. It just sprays bullets, with maybe every 5 out of 30 bullets hitting the target.Time out, the AK47 is waaay more of a better weapon than the M16. The Ak47 uses a Larger round than the m16, is not prone to Jamming like the m16, Extremely easy to field stripping, fires at a higher rate and is cheaper than the M16. Statistically speaking the AK47 is better than the M16. There is a reason why the ak47 is the most used assualt rifle in the world. Yes it may be "outdated" compared to other rifles but its still one of the best assault rifles used today. |

Dangote will still remain rich even after a break up. Do you really think that he will abandon all of his investments across the nation, no. Second He has Money and he is a serious investor, Even if nigeria breaks up the new nations will still invite dangote to invest in their country. There is no way they will reject a person who is willing to invest billions and create jobs just because he from some were else. Third, look at other break ups in the past like, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Russia, South Korea, India, Pakistan etc.the only thing that change was political [line drawn in the sand] not economical. If nigeria breaks up Julius berger nigeria and other companies will just change their name to julius berger west africa or something like that. In other words the company will remain the same and will function as normal. |

I bet it's so OK for other people but never Nigerians.Yes, but nigerian newspaper tend to exaggerated things alot to sell their articles. Though this is a good project, there is no need for the mega in the title, nor is there a need for the "ultra-modern" in ultra-modern shopping mall or "World-Class" Roads. There is really nothing special or cutting edge about them and hence why I find its just weird to use words like that. To me its just a normal road and a normal shopping mall and a normal rice mill. |

Excluding this project, Most projects in nigeria use the words, Mega, Ultra-modern, Advanced, World-class, Revolutionary etc but when they are completed they are nothing special. They should just stop using those words. |

States should be merged, we should either go back to 4 regional zones or back to a 12 state system. We cant even manage 36 states talk less of creating 50 states. By the way its not a coincidence that the same people who advicate for state creation in the past now or did hold political positions in the newly created state. Just like how Martin Elechi, governor of ebonyi state was on of the people who fought for the creation of the state. If you as me, these so called people shouting state creation just want to create a way for them to receive JUMBO SALARY 1 Like |
