That's what binds the elite...

Doubt he ran Peter Obi as Vice by his new found Crush/Bae OBJ & got him to support it.... Soludo is OBJ's guy anyday, anytime...

The SE govs will just find a way to kam daun & go with the flow, now they've put it in the public domain that Soludo is "non- conservative" (whatever it means), all bets are off.... Atiku can't go back no more... He has no choice but to forge ahead & collect the inevitable L with Obi in February. cool
This is why the South East will always be left out, Atiku can still win with their full support, those Governors should allow Obi be, Now we are trying to move things forward they are coming to tell us who is strict and who is not, are all this for the gain of the masses or for their personal gain.

Let Umahi decamp to APC now and see if he would win even as a seating Governor, Imo state is going back to PDP he there talking about his own personal gain, is he really speaking for the Ibo Masses or for the elites.

There fears is that Obi running as Vice may run as President after Atikus tenor, that is the main issue, it is not about the VP position, Obi would have more placed nationally to run for Presidency, Soludo could be easily pushed out but you can not push out Obi

Politics › Re: Buhari's Executive Order Number 6 by gare(f): 7:11pm On Oct 13, 2018
FOR 2019 Let us compare some issues:
1. Power: this and other infrastructural developments are needed to boost business. This government has generated more power now than in previous government. Before now, they sold/privatizated power, looted the money for power, they became shareholders in companies that imported generators & turned us to up "NEPA"
Atiku has the biggest company in Nigeria that import generators to the country by the way, (making billions of dollars that way every year by selling to all the big companies and individuals in Nigeria) how will that kind of person will ever want the country to have constant electricity?!
We witnessed that for many years prior now!
And he has been in government for more than a decade with nothing to show for only that aspect of the economy (Power).

2. Economy: according to reports, only about 12% of d masses transact in foreign currencies. Most users need it 4 luxury ie shoes, furniture, wears and for foreign product's which can be locally made , that is finished agricultural goods, rice, etc. There is what we call trade deficits. Nigeria has always been more of an importing country than exporting save for crude oil. This inability to balance trade over time has been affecting the exchange rate. Buhari is doing what Trump is doing to America, shut down the borders to foreign goods that can be grown locally, engage in indigenous production. In a space of 10 years of such consistency with participation of corporate coys, state government like Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Jigawa have done with rice, the youth participation then, jobs & food would be available.Today Exportation has increased, importation is reducing and the naira would be strengthened against foreign currencies over time. What we've witnessed in the past has been government opening its ports to foreign goods, turning the country to a dumping ground, fraudulent duty waivers to cronies, thus discouraging indigenous production making the country lazy. Let us begin with your TSA argument. Our lazy banks made easy monies holding fraudulent funds for Federal MDAs. PMB shut down those accounts to enable the banks carry out real banking of lending to real sector, agro sector, marine & oil and gas.
This has save govt millions of naira of bank charges.
Again, it's obvious the trouble makers have diverted their sponsorship of crime to politicking for now, little wonder the sudden reduced killings.
Was Bush America weak when September 11 happened? This are temporary setbacks that our securities are tirelessly working on.
Please kindly tell us if we've not made gains in agriculture than ever before.
Please also tell us if we've not generated power than ever before.
We say no to those who took us into recession by plundering and raping the country blind.
Now they are gathering again to destroy d little gains we've made.

There is no quick fix.Why are we so forgetful, we are our own problem. No pain no gain. G.M
We are not here to capmpaign , everyone has a right to vote for their candidate.
Posterity will judge us all and your children will definitely ask you questions in the nearest future.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
What is the name of the company? When you talk please talk with facts or you shut up

Politics › Re: Mohammed Santuraki: Atiku Is A Formidable Opponent, Whether We Admit It Or Not by gare(f): 2:42pm On Oct 13, 2018
ishiamu:
Dr mohammed Santuraki, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State, has said whether the ruling party admits it or not, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is a "formidable opponent".

He also urged the APC to put its house in order to emerge victorious in the 2019 general election.

He stated this when he spoke with NAN in Suleja, Niger State on Saturday.

Santuraki also urged the party to address the issues related to the primaries to ensure that the APC remains united.

His words: "Whether we would like to admit or not, the presidential candidate that the main opposition party, the PDP, settled for is a formidable opponent, even if not a credible one.

“Within a week of emerging as the presidential flag bearer, he appointed his campaign team and named his running mate. This to me indicates a much needed sense of urgency. We, in APC must respond in like manner. The clock is ticking. We must push the button."

Speaking on the disagreements within the party, he highlighted the steps taken to address them and commended the party's leadership for its efforts.

He said: “I am happy to note that 10 long days after the October 2 primary elections in Niger, better judgement eventually prevailed. Agreed, it was a choice between a rock and a hard place, but it shouldn’t have been a difficult choice.

“While the election results were adjudged incomplete, flawed and inconclusive in Zone A, and the results also contested in the other zones, a greater level of injustice would have been perpetrated if the tickets were auto-awarded to the incumbents.

“It is commendable that the national chairman finally accepted a more logical reasoning by awarding the victory to the presumed winners of the elections.

“I congratulate and thank Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, the senatorial aspirants, the elders and other APC stakeholders for their resolute stand on the side of our people, for fairness throughout this process. I firmly believe that a flawed democratic process is better than outright dictatorship.”

A vibrant Nigerian man, Evangelist Uche Debem, has embarked on a daring mission by riding his bicycle from Owerri, Imo state to Abuja to meet and congratulate the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the February 14, 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi.

The man who calls himself Atiku’s First Disciple, has begun the journey as he did a live video to update the public on his journey. He also told those that want to see him or join him in the mission - to wait along Enugu road, Nsukka, Kogi because those are the routes he'll pass.

The young man also said he embarked on the journey because of the bad state of the country which he hopes his presidential candidate will correct if he's elected.

Politics › Re: Gov Dave Umahi, Chris Uba Mount Pressure On Atiku To Drop Peter Obi by gare(f): 1:48pm On Oct 13, 2018
Osagyefo98:
Barely 24 hours after former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, emerged as the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 polls, a clique in Igbo land led by Governor Dave Umahi and Chief Chris Uba has started mounting pressure on the party’s Presidential Candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, to drop him.

Impeccable sources close to the Atiku/Peter campaign network said that Umahi, Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum and who is well known for his closeness to President Muhammadu Buhari, is alleging that Atiku did not consult them before settling for Obi as his choice. This is despite the fact that the choice of Obi has elicited widespread acceptance across the country.

“As part of the rejection, Gov. Umahi with a few others working behind the scene, has called the meetings of Igbos in Enugu today to formally reject Mr. Peter Obi as the Vice Presidential candidate,” one of the sources said.

For Chris Uba, another PDP chieftain, his opposition to Obi is believed to be informed by economic considerations, as Obi had running battles with him during his days as Governor for refusing to continue illegal payments made to him as the then political godfather of the state.

Meanwhile, the Yorubas have expressed readiness to take the Vice Presidential slot with or without consultations. A Lagos-based lawyer, Barr. Wale Agosu, captured the thinking of the Yorubas when he wrote on Facebook:

“I have never seen a more terrible, wicked and brainless people. Imagine, after all the pressure that HE. Abubakar Atiku should choose his running mate from the West, he still went for an Igbo man. Did you notice that since the emergence of Mr. Peter Obi, Nigerians are united in commending the choice because of its quality? I think from what my friends from Anambra State tells me, Obi is an epitome of good governance and Nigerians rejoice because they see in him a man whose expertise will be of great value to the re-building of our over bastardised  country.

“Instead of embracing their own and working with him, some Igbo people are saying they were not consulted. What a people! Is this how they are going to achieve Igbo Presidency?

“The stand of these people means in clear terms that they are rejecting the offer.

“We Yorubas are therefore begging HE Abubakar Atiku to come and pick one of us. We do not even need consultations; just pick one of us because there is no time to waste.

“Let me ask again: Is this how this people will achieve Igbo presidency?”

On his part, another Yoruba lawyer, Barr. Sona Sat, perhaps exasperated by the bickering among the Igbo political elite, wrote in his own Facebook post: “Igbos do not know when to close ranks. I heard Ike Ekweremadu and others have vowed that Atiku must drop Mr. Peter Obi as his running mate. When Osinbajo was nominated, did we hear such in-fighting among the Yorubas? Please come and reason with me!”

It is disgrace that the Igbos are now fighting and waiting to be consulted first before the VP slot is filled. And if I may ask why should they be consulted? is Obi not an Ibo man ? They should put their house in other, This Umahi of a man should cross over to APC to let PDP be at peace.

chuka85:
Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in 2019.
He stated this while addressing journalists after a 'Thank You Visit' by Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate and former Vice-President at the Government House, Port Harcourt, on Sunday evening.

According to Wike, Nigerians have a duty to form a united front to "sack" the APC-led Federal Government.
He said although different party leaders supported different aspirants to secure the PDP presidential ticket, with Atiku's emergence as the party's presidential candidate, "all hands must be on deck for the good of the country".

He said: "We have no party that will salvage the country other than the PDP. A candidate has emerged and we owe it a duty to see that the party takes over from the most inefficient and ineffective party in control of the FG.

"We are one family. You may support aspirant A or B, but once a candidate emerges, you owe it a duty to make sure your party returns to power. We are doing everything we can to ensure that we don't give APC any gap. They have failed Nigerians and we will take over in 2019."
He said the successful hosting of the national convention in Port Harcourt proves that Port Harcourt is a peaceful location for national events.

"I am happy that the convention was successful and it went on without hitches," he said.
In his remarks, Atiku called on Nigerians to support the PDP.
Noting that "the entire country needs a new government", he said the country has gone through challenges and needs to chart a new direction in the interest of the people.
Atiku said it is time for the people of Rivers State to consolidate their support for the PDP in the state.

He said: "I came to personally congratulate the governor, people and government of Rivers State and also thank him for hosting a most successful convention."
Atiku was accompanied on the visit by former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, Senator Sam Anyanwu, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Austin Opara and Edo State PDP Chairman Dan Orbih.

Wike received the PDP presidential candidate alongside the Rivers State PDP Chairman, Felix Obuah, Chief of Staff, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke, and Chief Sergeant Awuse.

Politics › Re: Throwback: Why Atiku Will Lose The Core North - OPINION by gare(f): 8:23am On Oct 09, 2018
QuotaSystem:
To put it plainly, apart from Taraba, Benue, Plateau & Nassarawa States, President Muhammadu Buhari is poised to sweep the votes of the remaining 15 northern states, for the following reasons:

1. The "Amana" factor.

A lot of southerners often wonder the basis of the cult-like following PMB commands in the North - the reason is not far fetched.

The Hausa-fulani people in particular, place a huge value on the concept of "Amana" (trust/to hold in trust), a value which Buhari's track record of integrity (whether disputed or not) is clearly aligned with. Despite media propaganda, most of these people who are more politically informed than their average southern counterparts, are aware that not a single charge of corruption has stuck on their revered PMB, amidst corruption allegations among his cronies. Atiku loses massively in this respect because of his track record of corruption (BPE, Haliburton, $16b power scam, unexplained source of wealth etc.) which presents him as an untrustworthy leader to most northerners.

Furthermore, PMB's seemingly north-centric agenda regarding appointments, infrastructure projects (roads, rails, ports) and focus on agriculture assures most northerners that their interests would be well protected under his administration, in contrast to Atiku who is perceived to be likely to make concessions and appeasements to the East whose support he is mostly riding on going by recent trends. Atiku also loses big in this regard.

2. The South Eastern VP Factor

If Atiku gives in to the clamor for his running mate to emerge from the East, then he stands to lose massive votes from the core north for obvious reasons. Firstly, the deep political antagonism and anti-north stance from Igbos, which has characterized the national space and been amplified since the defeat of Jonathan and rise of IPOB/Nnamdi Kanu and their hate speech, will deeply hurt Atiku's chances because not only will it mean the North would be taking the extreme bigotry, insults and political antagonism from the East right on the chin with no consequences.

It would also mean the possibility of an Igbo successor to Atiku - a people known for their contempt for Nigeria's unity and secessionist aspirations. In addition, a SE VP will also cost Atiku significant SW votes - a sub-region with the second largest number of registered voters (14 million).

3. The Boko Haram Factor

In sharp contrast to the generally held notion among some in the south that Atiku would sweep the NE because it's his home region, the strides recorded by PMB in the fight against Boko Haram heavily neutralizes that effect. I am not talking about social media noise, but the perceptions of people directly affected by Boko Haram activities and are experiencing a gradual return to normalcy since PMB took office.

Yola (Adamawa) for example, Atiku's own home capital, has experienced peace since PMB's onslaught on BH like they never saw since Boko Haram emerged under the past PDP administration - this was formerly a ghost town that used to suffer deadly BH attacks daily with dusk-till-dawn curfews, which has since been lifted and attacks reduced to suicide bombings at soft targets and guerrilla attacks which are reducing on a monthly basis. This was a state that had several LGA's under Boko Haram's rule during PDP's administration and the people aren't quick to forget the corruption that marred the fight against BH in Dasuki fashion.

Maiduguri is back to it's bustling state with people now free to watch El-Kanem FC matches in the township stadium, and trans-border economic trade (mostly fish) is gradually being restored. The return of the Chibok and Dapchi girls also adds points to PMB's profile in the sub-region. If by God's grace the FG is able to secure the release of Leah Sharibu then that would be a hat-trick. I personally spoke to a "Kube" (traditional hausa cap) dealer from Borno recently and these were the exact sentiments he expressed as he professed support for Buhari's candidacy.

Final Note

It is very valid to permute that the votes from the 4 excluded northern states (Benue, Plateau, Nassarawa, Taraba) will be shared by both candidates as federal might will play out (both parties will rig anyway). With 19 million registered voters in the North West and 10 million in the North East which are largely homogenic, it is safe to say anyone who loses these key regions has lost the 2019 elections. With another 14 million registered voters in the SW which is APC's stronghold and Atiku's slant towards choosing a SE VP, his campaign team should be very worried.

Note that this is not to say Atiku will not record a sizable number of votes from the Northern States, but the ratio will pale in significance to Buhari's potential landslide victory in the region. - Q.S
Just keep this your Opinion with you, we dont want to share in it grin grin grin grin grin

Buterflyle0:
Okay the PDP presidential primaries have come and gone and a winner and Presidential flag bearer for the party has emerged. He is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

I am happy for PDP for choosing to field him as the opponent to President Buhari because in so many ways, it clearly sets us back to the scenario of 2015 which is the issue of Corruption vs Integrity.

Under same scenario in 2015, we know how that played out especially with the help of card readers which ensured that PDP no longer were able to inflate vote figures.

Same PDP in the form of Bukola Saraki the senate president recently tried to eliminate the card readers from the new modified electoral act but Buhari insisted it should be clearly included in the electoral act before he would endorse it. After much back and forth, it was included.

PDP in the past has been tagged as a party with a religion of looting and Nigerians were hoping that this time around, after being given 4 years break from power they would come back refined and more appealing to the many decent Nigerians who abhor all forms of corrupt practices but sadly they seem to have failed in this regard.

Right from their Primaries, it was evident that they just did not care about what people thought about them as they brazenly bribed delegates with large sums of dollars out of desperation and this speaks badly of where they are headed and why.

Between $2500 and $10,000 was shared per delegate by the aspirants of which Atiku was the largest bribe giver.

It is also on record that Atiku had been indicted on money laundry charges by the United States of America in conjunction with Homeland security. Anyone who knows how the homeland security works in USA would know that they are directly responsible for who is allowed in or out of the United states.

Once you are on their radar and red flagged, you have absolutely no hope of getting into the United States of America until your charges have been dropped and they have cleared you.

Atiku for many years (since 2008) has refused to step a foot in the united States based on the reason above. His partners in the money laundry crime have all been arrested, charged and jailed except him. Even his 4th wife resident in the USA who was an accomplice was arrested and jailed.

As it stands, Atiku is a wanted man in the United States of America.

His case was so deep, it became a case study on Corruption for homeland security in the USA.

For a party like PDP to still brazenly want to frolick with a known wanted man and a prolific looter of Nigerias Commonwealth, it shows that this party is far from turning over a new leaf and are still hell bent on continuing with their looting religion but this time, under a new ATM with no pin code called Atiku.

Obasanjo had his fair share of his thieving ways and has never forgiven him till date, now PDP have embraced this internationally known thief as their figure head for 2019 presidential polls. Talk about bad image laundering.

Anyway, attached is from the united states homeland Security with emphasis (mine) on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

You be the Judge!

Mynd44, OAM4J let's get more input from the front page.

Goodmorning Gavelslam, Modath, ThrowBack, Midolian what say you?
From another thread here on FP Justice department has stated that they do not have any case against Atiku, why are you disturbing yourself ? OK go and arrest him since you feel he is a criminal, the document you just displayed above can be contested, it is not a judgement from and court here or in America.

So kindly use your time and tell us what your Party the APC have done and what they will do better, dont refer me to Google

So why is that Butterflyleo disturbing himself and sending post damaging the image of Atiku, just because his monthly allowance was increased from 30k to 50K.

What I expect from them is to sell Buhari, tell us what PMB has done and what he can do better, rather waste time trying to discredit Atiku, it will not work this time around, PMB and APC has failed Nigerians, there is nothing to show, they should use the remaining time to prepare their handover Note because it is over for them
