Chinekepikin:
2019: Don't Field Omisore For Osun East Senatorial Slot, We Want Our Indigene, Ijesa Citizens Write Oshiomole

Some concerned citizens of Ijesha land in Osun state have forwarded an open letter to the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomole requesting that one of their kinsmen should be fielded as the candidate to represent Osun East Senatorial District.

In the letter, which was sighted by our correspondent asked the Governor of Ekiti state and that of Ondo state, Akeredolu to desist from their plans of making Senator Iyiola Omisore the flagbearer of the APC for the senatorial district.

They denied any knowledge of the party's agreement with Omisore to be fielded for the senatorial contest.

They said an Ijesha citizen should be given the senatorial ticket in the interest of justice and fairness saying the district had more Ijesa local government areas than Ife.

"Otuba Iyiola Omisore was the Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District 2003-2011 and he's from Ile -Ife and Senator Christopher Babajide Omoworare from Ile-Ife from 2011 till date.

"We demand Ijesha citizens to represent us for Osun East senatorial District; we have suffered enough and we have enough population to deliver, Ife has four local government areas while ijesha has 6 local government areas. we have much population than Ife.

Also, we realised the pranks ongoing that Dr. Kayode Fayemi and Akeredolu wanted to use Otunba Iyiola Omisore to hijack Osun from us so as to have total control of the Southwest. We don't want! They are planning to use Omisore and we will resist it.

"More so, we aren't aware of any agreement between Fayemi and Omisore during the Osun guber election as far as the Osun East senatorial ticket is concerned

"We are also aware that the party entered into an agreement with Omisore to have his seized passport released to him and the withdrawal of his EFCC case. We are aware that Omisore was given some huge amount of money. So what else is he looking for?

"All we want is for Ijesha to have the Osun East Senatorial ticket," they insisted.
[/s]

So this is the settlement, so now Omisore has decamped to APC, he would not win i can bet you

The election is done and dusted.

If Atiku is cheated and rigged out of his mandate, who will fight for him? Igbos/biafrans? I laugh in cantonese.

Atiku himself knows that something is wrong. Have you heard from him since last week? He's gauging public opinion and he knows a mistake has been made in the campaign.

#istandwithbuharitill2023
Which mistake, guy dont be carried away, no mistake was made, whatever you see going on is scripted, did you ever think Atiku would have won the PDP primaries ? but let be calm and wait for 2019, the whole country will be shocked at the turn out of events, you can see presently the changes going on in INEC, more will come, I for one want a free and fair election let the popular candidate win

It is for Nigerians to decide what they want but I personally will prefer another four years of Buhari before power shift to the South-West or South-East, than another eight years of another Fulani with the same spot and if you add it to the previous nightmare of the PDP it will be too much for Nigerians to bear. [/quote]Chief you have said it above, save yourself all the headache and allow Nigerians decide, even in your household will still vote who they like, eg your wife and children may already be Atikulated and Obiligated grin grin grin grin, so kindly keep your opinion to yourself, you can see that your governorship candidate in the Anambra election is already Atikulated

Guy you have to time to type all this saying you are analyzing,From your analysis it goes to show you dont understand the political terrain of the SS/SE.

How do you know PDP is not strategizing ?
What is your yardstick for saying APC will win Rivers State
How do you know APC has Taken over Delta state and the rest of the SS and SE

Invariably you got your analysis from the social media, because i know you did not visit all state to verify your analysis, PDP does not need to come to you and tell what their plans are so is APC, Atiku only one the PDP ticket and the political landscape has changed even APC can testify to that from the series of attack on Atiku.

So I kindly ask you to be calm 2019 is just around the corner let both test who is popular in a free an fair election.

Information reaching the EASTERN TELEGRAPH has it that the Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha has sued his Party, and The party Chairman Adams Oshiomhole for not Fielding His Son-in-law as the Gubernatorial Candidate of the party in the State.

Apparently frustrated by the process and infighting within the party, Rochas Okorocha prayed the court among other things to declare his Son-in-law as the only candidCan of the party in the State...

Politics › Re: 2019: Buhari, Atiku To Speak At Restructuring Summit by gare(f): 8:25am On Oct 16, 2018
unohbethel:
President Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar are expected to speak on restructuring at the “Handshake across Niger” summit ahead of 2019 general election.

Buhari is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while Abubakar is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 presidential election.

Also expected to speak at the summit scheduled to take place on Monday, November 19 at the Shell Hall, MUSON centre, Lagos, are Senate President Bukola Saraki, Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of representatives; Wole Soyinka, a Nobel laureate; and Nnia Nwodo, president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

According to Ngozi Odumuko, coordinator of Nzuko Umunna, organisers of the event, the summit is designed to move the national conversation on political restructuring forward as the country approaches the 2019 elections.

Odumuko said the key purpose of the summit themed
“Nigeria beyond oil” is to extract a formal pledge of commitment to restructuring, a priority of the southern and middle belt zones, from the major parties and presidential candidates.[b/]

The coordinator said the initiative is an expansion of the January 11, 2018, “Handshake Across the Niger” summit organised to end the suspicion and unhealthy rivalry between the Igbo and Yoruba.

[b]“The key priorities of the event is to bring together the various thought leaders of the component regions to articulate progressive ideas that could foster national integration and development especially as we approach the 2019 elections,” Odumuko.

“And to avail an opportunity for thought leaders and socio-cultural organisations to constructively interrogate the presidential candidates of selected political parties on their plans, programmes and policies before the elections.”

Two former ministers of external affairs Ike Nwachukwu, a retired major general, and Ibrahim Gambari will chair the occasion.

Other dignitaries expected at the event are Ike Ekweremadu, deputy Senate president, Ayo Adebanjo, Afenifere chieftain, and Edwin Clark, Niger Delta leader.

PMB will not attend, he will either send Osibanjo or one Minister to represent him, because any mistake made will be a big blow on his re-election, which everyone is praying for.

Politics › Re: Breaking: Presidency Orders EFCC To Detain Fayose Indefinitely by gare(f): 6:37am On Oct 16, 2018
It's not in the duty of the Presidency to order the arrest of anyone, they should allow EFCC do their job.

Nobody is killing or jailing Fayose, they are only bringing him for questioning after which if they have anything against him they will charge him to court and allow the course do Thier job.

Instead getting involved in media trial EFCC should focus more on doing proper investigation and be professional in discharging their duties.

My take on this is that Apc should Respect Our institution

It calls for concern

We should practice what we preach

My take on this
Who gave him that INEC form ? Well I do agree with you on this, it was as a result of greed that led to finding themselves in this position and it should serve as a lesson to others.

For our country to grow we need strong institution not strong men, we don't need our institution looking at the body language of the president to act on issues that are wrong, for example if the President's wife is found guilty of an offence the IGP should bring her in for questioning or anyone for that matter, by the time our institution have less or know interference from government officials then we will be on the part to greatness
