JayJohnson: It is unfortunate when neophyte and children like you goes to the internet to write rubbish due to the availability of 3g network on tecno phones. Son, may I take this little opportunity to school you on security issues. Before then, will you please tell me where you were when your master unleashed soldiers in Rivers state in 2013-15? Will you please tell me where you were when the Outoke drunkard unleash drunken soldiers in Lagos state even serving as security to OPC? I presume you were still running around the house in your under-wears. Now back to the point.
When there is a clear breakdown of law and order the army will be invited to take over, this has happened in the past and this will not be the first time! In case you were still small, please ask your parents and thank me later. In Rivers state, especially Bori, there is total breakdown of law and order. You have to be extremely careful anytime you are passing the Eleme round about anytime as from 7pm - that is the plain truth. If you don't know. Eleme is one of the many routes to Ogoni land.
You claim the police should be the spokesperson for this operation! I cannot but wonder at the level of your intelligence and comprehension. So army will go on an operation and the spokesperson will be a policeman? I pity the future of Nigeria, and you are one of the future generation? What a pity?
If you know the number of lives lost in Rivers state in the last 30 days, you will not come and write the rubbish that army came to put off fire.
Lastly, may I add that, Rivers East senatorial district is probably giving your paymaster Wike and cohorts sleepless night, that is why he (Wike) is back in his old self or arming touts to win election for PDP. The game is clear, Wike is jittery because the ultimate plan will be for Magnus Abe to contest for Rivers governorship election in 2019.
Please dont stay in Lagos and write rubbish about Rivers state To you every other person resides in Lagos, just you alone resides in Port Harcourt, for your information Magnus Abe will never get the APC ticket in 2019, where was he when Ameachi gave it to Dakuku. So all the lives lost was as a result of Wike being the governor of the state, there was never any breakdown of law in the area until the military invaded that area looking for the former militant leader and we know why the military came in the first place so don't come here with your half baked propaganda to tell us you know it all Only Rivers man on ground |
Car Talk › New Tinted Permit by gare(op): 9:39am On Feb 23, 2016 |
I have commenced the process of obtaining the New tinted permit being issued by the police, having going through all the processes of online registration and Bio-metric capturing I am still yet to get my New tinted permit, we have been made to understand that this process is free and you are meant to get it almost immediately with confirmation to interview I watched and i believe several others watched from AIT and Channels TV where the Police said that after all the process is completed the New Permit will be printed for you, but in Port Harcourt we are made to understand that it was sent to Abuja for approval, by the way I am based in Port Harcourt, it is over a Month since I started the process. And we where made to understand that the whole process is free, but a friend of mine i met said he paid N10,000 for the process and the reason why ours is not coming out is because we are not parting or paying anything.
The reason why i want this out in the public is for people to know what they intend to do with this whole process pf new permit, if the police want us to pay for it they should come out formally and make us pay in banks and not into peoples pocket, I do hope the Government and EFCC are watching what is going on in the Police Force, IGP this is your innovation and your officer are going about collecting money from people, since you have said it is free, you must ensure that its free, not just saying it, machinery should be put in place to see that it is free, if by the I am as of this moment pleading with the force to release my permit because I do not have any money to give to anybody, if we so desire change in this nation we should act it and let it be part of our everyday life, times are hard in this country and they should not add to it
The IGP came up yesterday that he intends to put a stop on things like this happening in the police he should that all this stops, I have completed my process in PHC since last month, please they force should ensure I get my Permit. |

eyesofgod: Sacked DG In Trouble For Blowing N200b On Poll
EFCC, ICPC to quiz ex-CEOs of agencies
why they had to go
●Donation by a woman DG of N700m to PDP’s presidential campaign in 2015 ●Furnishing of an office at N800m ●Construction of a store at N240m instead of N40m ●Failure to account for revenue by a DG who diverted equipment to his private medium ●N15b found in a secret account in violation of TSA ●More than N6b debt in an agency generating at least N9b monthly ●Personal assistant remanded in prison for alleged N17m bribery but DG stayed on ●DG implicated in alleged N68b fraud
Of the 26 Directors-General and Heads of parastatals sacked yesterday, no fewer than 10 may be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) for investigation, a source said last night.
It was gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari opted to give some of the chief executives the push, following reports of large-scale fraud in their agencies. One allegedly spent N200 billion on last year’s Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) presidential campaign.
Some of the former chief executives also awarded contracts to cronies.
The agencies under the searchlight of either the EFCC or the ICPC include National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), National Broadcasting Commission(NBC), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Bureau of Public Enterprises(BPE), National Women Development Centre(NWDC); Industrial Training Fund(ITF); Nigerian Investment Promotion Council; Nigeria Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) and Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSIT), among others.
A source, who spoke in confidence, said: “At least 10 of those sacked chief executives will be handed over to the EFCC and the ICPC. The report on their misconduct is ready for these anti-graft agencies to act upon.
“All security agencies received the list of those affected about 24 hours before the formal announcement. They will all be placed on surveillance until cleared.
“Some of them have actually appeared before EFCC and ICPC in the last eight months. Their cases are under various stages of investigation.
“The revelations are mind-boggling and it is sad that some of these chief executives continued with the impunity even after a new government had taken over.”
Responding to a question, the source added: “The President bid time to get intelligence report on the atrocities, recklessness and outright graft by some of these former CEOs before sending them packing.”
The source gave an insight into some of the infractions.
He said one of the former chief executives allegedly withdrew N200 billion (using curious sub-heads) to fund the campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He cited the case of how a DG was implicated in a N68 billion fraud and other illegal expenditures and loans allegedly secured without proper approval.
The source also claimed that a former female chief executive was alleged to have donated N700million to the PDP’s presidential campaign in January 2015; furnishing of an office at N800million which donor agencies can supply at no cost and the construction of a store at N240million instead of N40million.
In another instance, one of the heads of the media agencies could not account for all the advertisement cash raked in by his medium during the 2015 campaign.
Instead, about N5million was recorded as revenue from adverts during the 2015 polls.
The DG was said to have acquired a licence for an electronic medium and diverted the sophisticated equipment to the new private outfit after using public funds to procure them.
A DG of a sensitive agency was alleged to have hidden over N15billion in a secret account in violation of the extant regulations of Treasury Single Account(TSA).
One of the affected DGs presided over an agency which was generating about N9billion internally but as at the time he was sacked, he left more than N6billion debts for the agency.
Despite the remand of her Personal Assistant in prison over alleged N17million bribery, a DG waited till Monday for President Muhammadu Buhari to wield the big stick.
Besides, the award of some contracts before the inauguration of President Buhari led to the sack of some of DGs.
www.thenationonlineng.net/sacked-dg-in-trouble-for-blowing-n200b-on-poll/ APC Govt should stop all this propaganda, if they yet to conclude their investigation, they should continue, why would they not mention the name of the woman or man involve in this wicked act. I am tired of all this media trial, they are not better than the PDP, must they link all this to 2015 elections, yet there is nothing the APC led Govt is doing, the Naira to the Dollar is falling on a daily basis, we are tired of all this news, all those APC members that called for the sack of the DGs, are they better off, we want the names of these people are they keep the information to themselves. We Nigerians should be very careful how we go about believe stories like this, if they are sure that and certain about the information they should be able to tell us the Persons involved. All this propaganda will not help them we already know they have nothing to offer and come 2019 they are going out, even if they come and tell us that GEJ gave $1 billion to 100 girlfriends as valentines gift. So is this latest Revelation the cause of the nose diving and crashing economy, I will tell you NO, but it is due to lack good policy, bringing the wrong persons on board, lack of vision, not focused, they should as a matter of fact come out now with a good plan to revive this economy, all this news every day will not put food on our table, we already now as far as i am concern it is no longer news, they are all stalled news. Politics › Re: Possible Locations Of Chibok Girls Identified - Nigeria Air Force by gare(f): 12:29pm On Feb 13, 2016 |
TheFreeOne: The Nigerian Air Force says it has been able to identify possible locations of the abducted Chibok girls.
The Director of Public Relations at the Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa, told Channels Television that the Air Force is abstaining from attacking the area to make sure that the girls are not hit.
He explained that the latest aerial bombardment of Sambisa forest had been aimed at the logistics base of the Boko Haram sect and not areas where the Chibok girls could be located.
“We have no fears that the girls are not there because that particular location has been under surveillance for quite a while and we suspected maybe its a kind of ammunition depot or maybe a workshop that they are using as their logistics place.
“Once you take off the logistics base, of course you gradually weaken the resolve of the enemy to be able to prosecute any campaign,” he said.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa also explained some of the tactics used by the Air Force to locate the girls.
He said, ” The UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) has become a force multiplier for us because its cheaper to run these platforms, you are not putting men there (and) the risk of losing human beings is greatly reduced.
“Again the UAVs have the capability to be airborne for up to eleven hours and its quite cheap to maintain. So, we have been able to employ the UAV to a great extent to carry out reconnaissance and surveillance basically for intelligence gathering on the activities of the Boko Haram.”
He said that the UAVs have also helped the Air Force to understand the terrorists’ pattern of movement and “how to be able to counter them should they want to strike or spring any surprise”.
http://www.channelstv.com/2016/02/12/possible-locations-of-chibok-girls-identified-air-force/ They should stop all this publication go and get them now, you don't have to tell the whole world you know the location of the Chibok girls, will they not relocate the girls now, why do we like to advertise our foolishness to the whole world if you know why not trty and the girl the girls now and come later to tell us, I don't seem to understand what is going on is this country everybody at the leadership level is sick. |

Which Oil did he struck, Dele is a coward, these are the people causing problems for this nation, and this article you see is from Tinubu, can't you come out and say this govt has already failed, its the way the morning is you can tell how the evening's will look like. I keep saying PMB was not ready to rule, all the plans they had was for war, to fight, but GEJ took them by surprise by handing over to them, this govt with no plans, no vision, all I could pick out from their campaign was just the corruption fight all other promises can never be achieved, go and check them out. If Dele is asking for new disciples now for PMB what happened to the seven months he used in picking all these corrupt ministers he is asking for evidence to prosecute them, if he is sincere about is corruption fight he should investigate them and the evidence he is looking for he would find them. The way forward is for PMB to indicate is shortcomings and call for help, this country is own by all of us not his alone, like some people said his intellectual is just for his family alone, not to rule this country, first the war against corruption is being handled in a wrong way, he should have set a a reconciliation committee head by trusted Nigerians, and set the take point from 1999 till date for everybody that has stolen to return whatever they have taken failure to do so will lead to persecution, I believe a lot if not all will return something if not all, but this media fight of corruption is not help matters I feel he is just going after those that can disturb his govt, what happened to Olu Falea, Odili,Tom Ikimi, Jim Nwobodo,Anineh why are they not in court like Metuh, even dasuki trial is yet to start full. Bubu should just throw in his resignation letter and move on he really does not have anything other than to fight corruption, while the rest of the country is dying, and which investor will come to a country that has so much corruption like Nigeria and its President is going tell the world that Nigerians are bad which country is not bad, he PMB owes this nation an apology there is no justification for that interview, he got it wrong. Blaming the civil servants is not going to help or save the face of this govt failure must they blame someone, can't they for once take responsibility for failures, that is when you know a responsible govt, owning up for its failures but when you start transferring blames to others then you are fit to rule. Dele you guys better put your house in order or be ready to go the PDP way we can't take this any longer from you guys enough is a enough, and all is cross carpeting from one party to another will no longer hold if you have failed you stay with your failure and not go around infesting others as far as I am concerned PDP is still running the affairs of this nation my be by proxy because all key APC people are in PDP are they are part of those that destroyed this nation let's stop deciveing our self. Govs, party chairman, speakers, ministers, senators, vice President, president are all is the APC from PDP so who destroyed Nigeria, if you ask me I will say APC. |

We are not in a military regime. NOONE has to adjust to the executive's demands, just because the President is throwing a hissy fit. The smart thing the President could have done is to ask the house to vote on it, instead of going on national television top show he is nothing but a coward. There is nothing to vote about, been part of the TSA means they are at the mercy of the executive, the TSA is meant for revenue making agencies, and that will not reduce corruption, mind you, it just to monitor all government revenues, so before we comment on issues we should understand it well not just about APC and PDP, for this nation to grow we should be constructive in our arguments |

alberson: ELDERS of Woji in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, yesterday criticised Governor Nyesom Wike for claiming credit of the Abuluoma-Woji Road and bridge in the state capital. The community leaders – Chiefs Joseph Eke, Lawrence Chuku, Ade Ogbonda, Samson Amadi-Odum, Chike Ogbonda and seven others – insisted that contracts for the road and bridge were awarded by the former administration of Rotimi Amaechi, and was 90 per cent completed.
The Woji leaders said the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Dakuku Peterside and Director-General of Greater Together Campaign Organisation, Chief Victor Giadom, who were commissioners for Works, supervised the projects but were not acknowledged by Wike.
The governor, at Wednesday’s inauguration, claimed that the 1.672-kilometre road was inherited at the earthwork and filling stage, before his administration completed it with sidewalls, median, toll point and a 275-metre bridge. Wike said there would no longer be abandoned projects in Rivers, adding that no council would be neglected.
Works Commissioner Kelvin Wachukwu said the former administration initially awarded the contract for N3.5 billion, but revised it to N13.6 billion in 2014.
But the Woji leaders said: “The people of Woji will forever remain grateful to Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of Transportation, for initiating and building the Woji-Akpajo Road up to 90 per cent completion. Elders fault Wike on road, bridge
source :thenationonlineng.net/elders-fault-wike-on-road-bridge/ Silly elders, instead of asking Wike to ensure Woji to Artillery is worked on the are there giving credit to the previous govt that started a project and didn't complete it, these elders are APC members, so I do not expect anything different, Woji to Artillery is so bad and there could not get Ameachi in 8 years to work on the road silly elders. |

perculiarperson: From the look of things and his response to prompting questions asked, and in comparison to the grilling questions given to Fashola, Ibe Kachikwu and Kemi Adeosun and their educative and informative answers, Amaechi has no business being on that list.
This was a great opportunity for Amaechi to sell himself by showing his intellectual prowess, strong capabilities and reasons to be confirmed. Instead he went there to sell radicalism, multiple personality and mental imbalance on views and perspectives, double-mindedness and eye service. From his overall wealth of experience (former SA, PA, State Speaker, Governor etc.) he could not articulate a couple of words as advice to younger generation of politicians or political class.
His desperation is so glaring and obvious as he spoke with two sides of his mouth today. The same issue (resource control) he fought the past government for is what he has embraced fully in this new administration all because of his GREED and selfish interes
He has even given a pointer with regards to his final political destination and where he would love to retire which is as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!! This is sooooooo pathetic and heart wrenchin
Ameachi is not as intelligent as the those listed below, the only reason he is on that list was just for the Rivers state money he spent on the election, there is nothing to sell, the only thing he has to share is just radicalism, he was asked the kind of questions that was asked to Fashola his response would be GEJ took oil well from Rivera state to Bayelsa, I just wish this country the best, which ever way we want we all will suffer it, I am only disappointed at the masses that voted this govt in, till this moment we are still yet to get a clear policy direction on how they want to run this govt. ddippset: amaechi cannot be claimed to be non dilligent simply because he helped in kicking out Jonathan. The old rhyme was 'buhari has used and dumped amaechi', the new rhyme will be 'the inclusion of Rotimi Amaechi shows that baba is not serious about corruption' wailers changing stances like professional prostitutes! From the names on the list does it look like PMB is serious about fighting corruption, it is still going to be biz as usual, maybe they will add some level of decorum in the stealing this time not with impunity like in GEJ regime. |

kahal29: • We accredited 293.072 voters in Rivers, INEC tells Tribunal
From Godwin Tsa, Abuja
An Assistant Director in the ICT department of the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC], Mrs. Abimbola Oladunjoyi, yesterday told the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal that only 293, 072 voters were accredited for the state’s April 11, 2015 governorship polls.
In a report submitted to the tribunal and admitted as exhibit A9, the INEC director, who was in charge of INEC data base, including voter registration data base and the smart card reader data accreditation, said the information on the card reader was uploaded from the Commission’s server at the close of accreditation. Oladunyoji testified sequel to a subpoena issued on the acting Chairman of the electoral body.
It was her evidence that the assistant presiding officer 1 [APO1] at a click of a button on the card reader, uploads the information to INEC data base. “Data comes in polling unit which can be accredited to wards, Local Government Area, State and Federal levels as the case may be. So, the total number of 293.072 accredited voters was arrived at by adding successful accreditation and failed accreditation.”
She also told the tribunal that the INEC server was shut down six weeks after the conduct of the election, adding that the document represented all data relating to accreditation of voters in Rivers State and which contained in card reader.
Meanwhile, three police officers yesterday, told the tribunal how the April 11 election in Rivers State was marred by violence and thumb-printing by agents of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in Tai Local Government Area of the State.
In his evidence, Mr Garba Michael, a Superintendent of Police, who was on election duty on April 11 in Tai Local Government Area, told the tribunal that his men caught agents of the PDP thumb-printing in a house opposite the party’s secretariat at Seme in Tai Local Government Area.
The police officer told the Justice Suleman Ambrosa-led tribunal that more than 70 persons, including PDP agents, staff of INEC, the commission’s ad hoc staff and other individuals were arrested by his men shortly after noon on election day and taken to their office. Michael stated also that materials, including card readers, ballot papers, vests and ink pad were among items recovered from the group, who were eventually handed over to the force Criminal Investigation Department (CID) after preliminary investigations. “At about 12.45 pm, I was sitting at INEC office, when I got a distress call that people were thumb-printing at Seme area. I found my way to the place after asking questions from people on the road. I was eventually directed to the place after sometime…I stopped very close to PDP secretariat and asked again where I was informed that the house opposite the PDP secretariat had a lot of people with electoral materials.
“I came down with my men, cordoned the compound and in the process of doing that, I sighted the patrol vehicle of anti-terrorism squad…They joined forces with my men and we entered the compound, where we met people thumb-printing on electoral materials and we arrested them. At that point, I called my superior commander and told him the situation. He came down with a lorry with which we evacuated the people and materials to our base in Tai. I took some photographs before leaving the place.”
However, the court refused to admit the photographs in evidence, agreeing with counsel to the respondents that it offends the provisions of the Evidence Act.
Another police officer, DSP Yusuf Buba of Police Mobile Squadron, Ogoni in Rivers State, revealed how an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kenneth Akabue, allegedly aided and supervised the rigging of the April 11 governorship election in favour of the PDP in Khana Local Government Area of the state.
