Wise ones, pls my toyota camry 1997 pencil lite I4 engine is not making me happy. Before I give you my long story of what just happened to me this nite, let me tell you the issue.. The car just suddenly goes off on motion or in traffic. Before, when it does like this and I start it , it comes up at onces, but now, na lie oo. It hard starts and can take 20 times to start.

This nite, as I was going to ketu, the car just went off at palmgroove express, some thugs came out from dark corner and said they wanted to help me, but I know all is wayo. The push it small and said this money is 20k for pushing. I was praying in the car that I car should start, as I want trying the ignition and hearing their harsh voices of the thug, suddenly, the car start and I sped of. They cursed them self. I was wondering when to get 20k and give then becasue I know my phn is will be taken by them. Make I stop to much story. Pls what do I do , lomomike, gazzuzz, decotech, mayor123, all other bossess observed.. Pls

Thanks boss,I already serviced the injector and changed my plugs...well am thinking when the mechanic changed d plugs he mistakenly spoilt the sensor..i guess after changing the sensor I will scan the car again

House I need help to ascertain what's actually wrong with the car, it does pick up speed on time after slowing down, even if throttle is fully pressed and fuel mileage has been bad.
Has anyone had same experience before? Urgent help is needed.

My brother, I ordered for the scanner so that I can scan it but it took konga upto 2weeks to deliver and I showed mechanics the picture he sent but the couldn't find anything.

Hello sir, I have read through your message and I have few questions to ask.
1. What kind of scanner was used?
2. What codes did the scanner give throw out?
3. When last did you service your transmission?
4. What sepc and brand of transmission oil did you use?

I think you used a wrong ATF, one with a low boiling point which starts to boil and bubble as soon as your transmission gains some degree of heat and this can cause serious damage on you transmission. Another possible cause could be that
your ATF cooler might have been bypassed which would result in the over heating of your transmission.

I don't know any parts dealer that will give you his ware and allow you to pay after 2 weeks. At most, you will have one week guarantee in which you are allowed to return it in a case the transmission fails to work as expected. Other conditions include the dealer recommending a mech to do the installation. Besides, the vehicle you are talking about is not know for transmission problem.

For now, I will advise you replace your transmission fluid with the right one (Toyota Type WS) for your vehicle and check if the transmission oil cooler is intact and see if it works. From ur result, I can then know what final advise to give to you.

Better still, just go for another transmission cos I have personally stopped rebuilding transmissions.

To d experts in the house. My Toyota camry's radiator shortens water whenever I travel long distance. Within town it works perfectly. Eventhough the temperature on d dash board doesn't rise above d normal range, I don't think this is normal. Pls I need ur advice. Thanks!

I guess you might be right. one of the rolling components is a little stiff. I recall the last mechanic referred to it as 'pulley adjuster' or adapter ....can't exactly remember what he called it. it was rolling but a little wobbly and bouncing as it rolled. will try to upload pix.

pls help oooo! the pulley system of my 05 Ford escape is shredding serpentine belts indiscriminately. I changed more than 4 belts yesterday...all shredded and tangled within the pulley system in less than 1km distance after each instance. scared to put a 5th one becos its gulping my scarce funds.

i went back to scan the car, it is still the same fault but the code did not show. the person that scan the car told me that may the first person that scanned the car corrected the fault that is why it is not showing the code but it still shows that the fiber plate is faulty
