Car Talk › Re: How Can A Vehicle Owner Benefit From 3rd Party Insurance? by GAZZUZZ(m): 3:54pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
You have a say as to what insurance service you want to use, but most nigerians want a complete package in 1 place and so they don't mind if its "gazzuzz and sons insurance company nigeria ltd" as long as it expires in a years time they are ok with it.
3rd party insurance as the name goes covers the "3rd" party meaning if you cause an accident, the property you caused damage too will be fixed by the insurance company and not yours.
3rd party is minimum compulsory insurance cover for vehicles in nigeria.
Now to the effectiveness of the insurance company, its dependent on who u use, ill check my particulars and recommend 1 for you they paid 230k when my drivers door was involved in an accident (city 2007) 2 years ago. |

I dont have jumper wire and do not plan on having one. Hmmm |

lomomike: In addition to what kashif said, if you have those el-cheapo or al-chinko brake rotors, avoid sudden splash of waters on them when hot. If they're suddenly water cooled when extremly hot, you'll get a warped rotor. In addition to what lomomike said, if your calipper pistons are stiff (rust corrosion) your rottors will end uP unnesessarily hot and pads will wear out quicker, also baraking efficieNcy will drop. |

Siena: That's the spirit, bro.
In the UK, folk rock Euro and US-style licence plates on their British-registered vehicles. Why not Nigerian ones? I intend to run Nigerian-style plates on all my vehicles. Pardon my ignorance but I still don't understand what you really want. Do you want original nigerian plate numbers or do you want fake plastic plate numbers(which you can do your self)? On a lighter side I can get you BOKO1 (borno state plates) for a small fee |

Crime › Arsonists Set Rivers PDP Secretariat On Fire by GAZZUZZ(op): 5:48am On Nov 01, 2014 |
NOVEMBER 1, 2014 BY CHUKWUDI AKASIKE 1 Comment
Some suspected arsonists on Friday set the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party secretariat in Port Harcourt on fire.
The building, located along the Port Harcourt-Aba Expressway, would have been completely burnt down if not for the quick intervention of residents around the place.
It was gathered that the suspected arsonists, armed with four litres of petrol, stormed the state PDP secretariat at about 4.30 am.
The private guards attached to the secretariat said they were inside the building when they noticed some movements at its main entrance.
One of the guards, who did not want his name mentioned, said they watched from inside how one of the arsonists poured the fuel on the giant door, struck a match and set the place on fire.
The guard said one of them, who had come out to question the action of the arsonists, was threatened and ordered to leave the vicinity or get killed.
“We had to shout for help and luckily, neighbours woke up and rushed to the secretariat and put out the fire,” he said.
The incident came on the heels of a rally in Port Harcourt by 14 aspirants calling for the zoning of the governorship position in the state.
The Rivers State PDP had been calling for the jettisoning of zoning in the state.
However, the state Chairman of the party, Mr. Felix Obuah, blamed the fire on the desperation by some politicians who did not want Friday’s ward congresses of the party to hold.
Obuah said, “In the early hours of today (Friday), some group of boys invaded the state secretariat of the PDP, locked the security guards at the premises, poured fuel on the two-storey building, which ignited fire that could not create positive impact on the ground floor of the secretariat.
“The party expresses serious concern on the timing of the event, which occurred less than 24 hours after a group of dissidents who sparsely congregated at the Liberation Stadium, Elekahia, to threaten violence on the PDP and its leaders, as some of them called for the postponement of the ward congresses of the party billed for Saturday.
“The party also notes that few minutes after the unfortunate incident, in a manner that suggested that they are privy to the arrangement, the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, through one Chris Finebone, issued a press statement and laid claim to the property as belonging to the Rivers State Government.”
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dan Bature, ordered a 24-hour surveillance at the state PDP secretariat to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
Bature, who inspected the scene of the incident, promised that the police would fish out those behind it. Source:http://www.punchng.com/news/arsonists-set-rivers-pdp-secretariat-on-fire/ |

colossus2: Kudos to the judges and also the FRSC executives for expressing satisfaction.
Exactly the way it ought to be done. If it were to be some other parastatals, they won't accept the judgement. They would find means to extort cash from motorists. Seems you are missing the koko of the matter, judgment was in favour of FRSC meaning motorists with old number plates will have to comply or be arrested. 2. held that the validity of the old number plate bought by the Respondent expired on 13th October 2014 the deadline issued by FRSC. |

APPEAL COURT UPTURNS LAGOS COURT DECISION ON NUMBER PLATES
The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos today delivered judgement in favor of the FRSC in an Appeal filed by the FRSC against the judgement of the Federal High Court, Lagos in the case of Emmanuel Ofoegbu v FRSC on 26th March 2014.The Fed High Court had ruled that the FRSC had no powers to set deadlines for motorists to change over to the new number plates and drivers licence. In a Judgment delivered by Justice Joseph Ike with Justice Ndukwe Anyanwu and Justice Tukur as members, the Court of Appeal : 1. Upheld the validity of the National Road Traffic Regulations 2012. 2. held that the validity of the old number plate bought by the Respondent expired on 13th October 2014 the deadline issued by FRSC. 3. dissolved the Order of injunction by the trial court restraining FRSC from setting deadline for change over to the new number plates and observed that the 13th October 2014 deadline had passed.
The Corps Marshal & Chief Executive, FRSC Boboye Oyeyemi has expressed satisfaction about the judgement and commended the Judiciary for a clear interpretation of the existing law on number plates and driver's licence. He enjoined motorists to comply with the law while urging them to drive safely as the year winds to a close. Source: https://mobile.twitter.com/FRSCNigeria |

lomomike: Sorry about that situation chief Gazzuzz. Sometimes, out of fear and in a bid to lessen the anger, pain and terror a boss might unleash on his inferior officers (no offence pls) the inexperienced worker might take some action which are against his master's line of action and reasoning. This blows everything out of proportion. Pls calm down and put yourself in that young man's shoes. He was afraid of hurting you and kindling your anger hence, his mistakes. Calm down go see the work progress, if its not to your satisfaction, you can either direct the mechanic or take the job and execute it personally. Later call him (your junior worker), sit him down and tell him how you handle some issues. Bross I taya car was just disvirgined, never been fixed since I bought her, the maintenance shedule was so on point from the 1 and only previous owner in germany, all work was done in toyota dealerships was hoping when ever she needed a major job illd be preveledged to be the one. Nah case of I must drive car o! And the mechanic nah serial killer. Cause I said park it till I come. But thanks. Meanwhile if person drop your RX330 gear box cause of oil leak without notifying you what would u do? Cause e easy to say calm down. |
