Wadeoye: And who says SE should not be part of the merger? Everybody is welcomed brother but you can't insist that the flag bearer must be Igbo for you to have sense of equality - that is not fair and we can't start this relationship with such a conceited viewpoint.Indeed. Everyone is welcomed as long as they feel welcomed and comfortable with others and as long as they identified with what the Mega Party is trying to achieve. If you feel Nigerian and want to join efforts to save your beloved nation, then the Mega Party is welcoming in my opinion. Those not wanted are the elements , whatever ethnic group they belong to, who constantly curse Nigeria, pray for her break-up and callously alienate/antagonize other ethnic groups unnecessarily via insulting them non-stop and identifying them as sworn enemies. It is time we all moved beyond the past and primordial sentiments to understand that, whatever our difference, a well-run country meeting the aspirations of most of its citizens will be a benefit to us all. Some forget that Osita Okechukwu and many other Igbos have always been involved in this merger efforts. They have put in serious efforts and a lot of hard work to get things where they are today. The likes of Osita Okechukwu have always spoken the truth and stated issues as they are. He even stated that a faction of the APGA was favourably disposed to this merger while hard core bigots and tribalists on this forum told us that the APGA will never be part of this effort because those sort of folks are condemned to never see beyond ethnicity. The mistake will be to begin tainting this merger with ethnicity. If united in purpose and determination, we will force leaders to deliver. http://www.nigerianpilot.com/acncpc-merger-wil-save-nigeria-osita-okechukwu/ ACN/CPC Merger Wil Save Nigeria – Osita Okechukwu |
BarryX: Whenever I hear of High-rise residential Block of flats, the Only thing that strikes my mind is " How would they go up?" would the Elevators provided be ELECTRICITY driven or LEGRICITY-STAIRCASE powered? Somebody should please pardon my layman orientation and clear my doubts! Partly because I have lived on the last floor of a three-storey building before, and I swear it is an exercise-filled experience and it is another ball game entirely if one of the essential basic amenities is lacking even for an hour!Man mi, your concern is totally legitimate. The key is fastidious maintenance of whatever will provide back-up power to keep elevators working 24/7. Speaking from my experience of 1004 high rise flats in Surulere as a kid, I can say it was scary how people were always getting stuck in the lift because of power cuts. I think there were back-up generators back then as well that just never worked because they were not well-maintained. |
Reference: Totally agree. And I'm totally in favour of land owners coming together to do joint developments to maximise their land value. Down with building back to back. Combine your lands and have enough space for parking, nature and air. I hope Portharcourt residents can take a cue.Totally natural choice especially when aggressive and unabated urbanisation leaves no other choice. The same is happening in Cosmopolitan Cities in West Africa. |
Omen100: unsencere 9nigga, its high time u give up, like i have told u b4 na that u are nothing compared to beaf but beaf lost it, see ya. That insecure9gerian guy is a shameless troll. |
Olaolufred: ALL THESE FEARS WILL ONLY BE CONFIRMED TRUE OR FALSE WHEN YOU GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY.Indeed. |
Sensible people are no more talking about the end of Nigeria as a country, they are talking of how to move the country forward. Brother, don't let the progress-train leave you behind.
Indeed. I think that this forum is full of emotional folks who deliberately wish to wallow in stagnation and pessimism . Most articles I have read conclude this merger as a good development for Nigeria's progress. The reasoning being that the PDP now has a powerful opposition that will force it to sit up and perform or be booted out. The current State of affairs is simply not good enough. We all saw pictures of Nigerian Police Colleges. Are we not ashamed the PDP can supervise such rot yet have the audacity to demand a N4 billion "mission house" for the first lady? Nigerians can call the mega Party whatever they want or be as pessimistic as they want. Those who are visionary will know it is a step in the right direction . |
eggheaders: hey, somebody should revive this man from his seizure. he and his band of mediocres should smell the coffee.Nigerians are resolved for a paradigm shift.he and his fellow simpleton will soon kiss the dust after the much awaited booting out of power of the papa decieve pikin clowns.Correct. No long thing. |
Sincere 9gerian: Someone posted the comment below:Bruv, better be careful. You talk like an insecure, highly-strung emotional mess to me. You reek of self-esteem issues. The sort prone to developing stress-related ailments. I would urge you to take it easy for the sake of your own health ![]() |
Very corny individual, I hope you know no one on nairaland takes you seriously, you should have concentrated on your ACN publicist job and not on things you should have kept quiet on. I see it is now contextual. You are just a dubios character and I don't expect anything new from someone who hates everyone that critizes ACN for good.
Don't blame me for your illiteracy and 'slow burner' brain. If it was literal, why did I suggest Agbakoba also? Can Nigeria have two AGF? Why did I mention Aondoakaa? Simple reasoning will tell even a 2 year old the names were examples of the concept of square pegs for square holes. Olodo. Don't go and mind your own business. It is tribalists and ethnic jingoists who fail to live in the real world, like you, who are the joke here. |
farem: Boring, shallow and Sentimental!Indeed. What aside from a childishly sentimental mind would lead anyone to say this: Who knows Tinubu outside South-West?It is one thing for some to hate Tinubu because of how they are programmed but another toinanely deny his popularity by suggesting he is not known outside the SW when everyone, even beyond Nigeria, know that Tinubu has become one of the best known politician in Nigeria today. Who knows the leader of the main opposition Party in Nigeria? Na real wa for some. |
Drastic urbanisation means , for Lagos, "the only way is up". |
I can't figure how you managed to get anything intelligent from that dumb post. From someone who is an ACN robot on nairaland. How will making falana, an activist, the AGF change the status quo? Why is ACN or CPC not performing the wonders they are promising us in their respective political offices. He talked about intelligent strategies, I sit here and laugh.
You really are a grade A Olodo and Wadeoye was right suggesting you , and others like you, lack the intellect to reason correctly. The example of Falana is a contextual suggestion rather than a literal one. M0r0n. |
Lamido yes, but Ameachi?? ? I doubt if he is that close to OBJ. Anyways, I pray the house of the wicked collapse on self-weight.
My Brother, OBJ had his own problems with Ameachi but I think our former President has come to accept that Ameachi has genuinely come into his own as an influential politician. Politics remain about permanent interests. Anyway, as you conclude we pray the PDP house collapses under its own "do or die" weight. http://leadership.ng/nga/articles/32942/2012/08/20/obasanjo_backs_lamidoamaechi_ticket_2015.html Obasanjo Backs Lamido/Amaechi Ticket For 2015 |
miiraaj: Bro,no second thought, the picture is for real. The end has come for Retardeen/Dumbo even in PDP, cos I seriously doubt if they can beat Lamido/Ameachi in the primaries.Indeed. GEJ should worry about clinching the PDP ticket first. By the way, Lamido and Amaechi are the choice of OBJ. |
Demdem: case closed. Allegations of the Op has no basis. as far as we are concerned, Buhari is a good candidate.Look, OP is a stone-cold bigot who is just revealing his fears on this thread. He hates and vilifies Yorubas 24/7 yet he is now concerned with who they will vote for or not vote for. It is only the beginning for tribalists like the OP who refuse to live in the real world. The things/people his ilk hate passionately will rise to the top in 2015 because it is never a winning strategy to sit back insulting everyone and every effort while others put deliberate long term strategy in place to gain what they want. OP, once again, is merely showing his sort are about emotion, and not intelligence or pragmatism, with this silly focus on Buhari. Him and others have been running around shouting Buhari's name since yesterday. Without seeing what is obvious. Many ultra-intelligent strategist are behind the merger. They are not yes men or blind hero-worshippers even if some of us want to think so. Buhari is an old man - even if a determined one. The mega Party, if they settle on Buhari, will deploy him like Mandela and make issues about all the young generation of 'good guys' he will bring forward. The plan will be to bravely offer superb/radical candidates Nigerians will not be able to resist and as has never been done before from a PDP-dominated ruling class obsessed with playing safe. Tinubu has shown that this strategy works via giving a chance to the likes of Oshiomhole OBJ and Anenih, for example, would have rejected flatly. We still saw OBJ shamelessly effing around with a military relic in the form of Olurin, in 2011, for the Ogun election !!!! It will be about using 100% proven 'good guys' to take the fight to the PDP that always plays safe and is limited to seeking 'business as usual' tools. For example, no Nigerian will shun a Government that makes it clear it will seek a Falana or Agbakoba for AGF instead of Aondoakaa. It is so one-dimensional and myopic focusing on Buhari. This will be about much more than Buhari if he ends up the Presidential candidate. Folks should mark my word about that. Why, for example, has this development come very early? People should start thinking deeper. Buhari and Tinubu are not the future. Things are not simplistically about those two alone even if Nigerians like deifying names and mortals. |
It will 100% be a Northern 'rapprochement' Presidential candidate and VP from the South. The VP, for strategic reasons, is likely to be a current governor. I think stakeholders will feel Buhari and Fashola ticks more boxes than any other combination. |
you fuking hypocrite, you have decided to sing his praises simply because he joined your fantasy party.
What a hateful m0r0n. People like you are a disgrace with how harmful indoctrination leads you to have a one-track hateful mind which which you use to judge and stereotype everyone. Check the archives m0r0n to see I supported Okorocha on this forum during the 2011 election. What did I have to gain then? Was he running as an ACN candidate? Unlike an irredeemable hater and loser like you, I support anyone, whatever their ethnicity, I believe will deliver good leadership. Anyway, whatever floats your boat. I have nothing to prove to a loser like you. |
berem: keep hating Rochas .He doesn't care what you haters think about him. I guess you are from Anambra.you can follow your governor who is already a sellout to pdp. Rochas has always being a detribalised Nigerian. you won't change that would you?Whether folks know it or not, Rochas is actually well-liked by his colleagues from the North and the SW. A genuine political bridge-builder. Those qualities will certainly get him places. That is all I will say. |
manny4life: Attack what? I should be the one telling you to actually grow your mind and drop the insecurities. What's loft and unrealistic about my statement? That your LORD (Buhari), who has caused mayhem indirectly hasn't actually spoken choatic words? What unrealistic and lofty about that?I did not even support Buhari in 2011 but you one-track mind individuals have no reverse gear or diversity to your thinking. Everyone is a Buhari fan to you - even those just speaking dispassionately according to the reality of Nigeria. Because of what will happen - and you will understand latter - Buhari may appeal. Anyway. No elections will be won on NL, so pointless carrying on this back and forth. |
Billyonaire: Which Party is mega party ? Are you fuvking kidding me ? They are AMALGAMATED REGIONAL UNDERDOGS Party. (ARUP), sounds like the sound of s/h/i/t doing down pit toilet.Yahoo-yahoo wannabe, nothing for you here. Move along. Keep up the emotional garbage. Real events will surprise jokers like you because you know nothing of worth to begin with and will always be way too emotional to see what matters. |
manny4life: Oga, look to yourself, else you wouldn't attack me.What "attack"? Grow up and stop being so insecure. I am only telling you to stop making lofty and unrealistic statement the pragmatic reality of Nigeria cannot match. If you think Utomi would be made Presidential candidate and the mega Party would sweep the day then you are simply failing to see the reality of things. You may be educated but do you think most Nigerians on the ground will think/vote like you? |
manny4life: Who cares? Mr Intellectual, allow we NL to have a field day while you bother less about it, like why do you care?Ol boy, insecurity issues dey worry you. Buhari stands a very good chance of being the Presidential candidate of the Mega Party so start palpitating. The thing is that Nigerian leaders are way less sentimental than the people. Perhaps this is why, good or bad, they are leaders. |
manny4life: Just like how many times you guys have sung retardeen and clueless, I think I have to sing it about 100x times more.It does not matter anyway. I am just enjoying you guys making ignorant statements all over the place that is far from the reality or the thinking of influential stakeholders. |
manny4life: Whether APGA joins the party or not, it's irrelevant. Bottom line is if the candidates are not worthy enough, THEY WILL FAIL.look, you have said the same thing 50 times already. We get it. Go and cast your vote at the appropriate time and stop boring others with your sense of self-importance. The candidates will be chosen by stakeholders who will certainly not be thinking of pleasing you. If the candidates are not to your liking, and I suspect they won't be, feel free to mobilize all those you know to vote PDP. |
Its not enough to just merge multiple parties. Let there be sincere intentions and honest compromises to rid Nigeria and the world of PDP. So sick and tired of PDP, just when you think they can't sink any lower they surprise you with another stinker. Meanwhile the senseless argument going on here had better not be a true reflection of the union of the parties!
It is not - trust me. Many talking here are totally clueless and just saying what comes to their mind. Pay no mind to the rants here. Most are the talk of volatile empty barrels. All I will say , as I have said before, is that folks will be surprised at the groundswell of action against a Party that is now an embarrassment to Nigeria and to what modern governance is. |
PDP going, going and gone. |
berem: you ain't far from the truth you know! the dude is a braggart! As a detective Jack Bauer, I got all his info on my system. My dear sister, he is indeed a braggart and a yahoo-yahoo wannabe to boot. I generally try to be polite to everyone but there is a hardcore group of miscreant here who think they can go around stalking others with insults. Billyonaire and Adura_Ngba ,aka Mosun Ade and whatever new ID takes his fancy tomorrow, are in that group. Granted I criticise GEJ but that is my right as an exposed Nigerian very dissatisfied with his p1ss-poor performance. Those who hate, stalk and insult me for it are yet to prove that I lie against GEJ as others do. All they offer is insult and not much else in the way of cogent or intelligent argument. On this topic, I challenge them to tell us how 2 weeks became 3 months and counting if at all Nigeria is a serious Nation and if GEJ is even a semi-serious President. Did we not see the rancour the fuel subsidy saga caused? What does that serious event, that saw Nigerian lives lost, deserve if not drastic and rapid action everywhere? Instead we are entertained with deliberate feet-dragging and Nollywood drama, from Orasanye et al, in Nigeria. Also, let us not, forget for one minute, that these same set of dishonest individuals on Nairaland shouted that GEJ would be the "transformation" Nigeria craved. Now that the man has been President for almost 3 years in total and has turned out to be "more of the same", all we get is new excuses from these charlatans . If Nigeria was not full of fraudsters then it would not be too much for some, instead of insulting others, to just admit they got it wrong with GEJ. The very wicked OBJ and his ilk wrong footed Nigeria with another mediocrity. Some should be big enough and man enough to accept that instead of throwing unwarranted insults around like kids. |
Demdem: 3 months ke, the ruse is ongoing or has Wogu submitted his report in cameraMy brother, I mean 3 months and counting. This GEJ Government is simply one that operates without any shame whatsoever. It revels openly in deception and that is why World leaders are now becoming increasingly vocal in condemnation of GEJ's government when they should perhaps be circumspect in respecting other nations. The fuel subsidy protest was very serious and the sort to make world leaders fear for a destabilized Nigeria. Lives were lost and many, worldwide, welcomed GEJ's efforts to 'gain solutions' that will provide a way forward. It must now be a shock for observers worldwide to note it is the same GEJ trying to kill the Ribadu report and dragging his feet over the implementations of some solutions that knowledgeable observers know is critical to the growth and efficacy of the Nigerian petroleum sector. |
take dat: So the Mosun-Ade's and the other bum have ended up derailing this thread. BRB! Clever chap. You worked out the Mosun Ade connection also. He is nothing but a cowardly cretin. He cannot derail the thread because the message is very clear despite the "white paper" jargon of Billionaire and the antics of Mosun Ade - amongst the many other "female" user IDs the coward uses. Wogu took a 2 weeks "urgent" brief and turned into into a 3 months ruse. I just think Nigeria is in a very uniquely evil position in that we don't need enemies while we have citizens who are each others biggest problems and stumbling blocks. In most nations, and even with sectional differences and biases accounted for, most citizens should still be united enough to say "this is simply not good enough". |
Billyonaire: Where are those two losers in the names of Gbawe and DemDem ? Do you have any questions you need answers about the GEJ Administration that I can handle before going out with my JV partner to a business luncheon ? I know you guys have all day to be on Nairaland, I will be back to meet you guys. You mean before hitting your PC to compile and send scam emails? Useless Yahoo-yahoo wannabe. |
Demdem: That obviously is the right way to go. besides by virtue of our kind of democracy, its so easy and straightforward for a willing leader. The retardeen obviously isnt willing.Thank you !!! Let me give you an example. After the yob riots that shamed the UK recently, David Cameron went on air to say that "no misplaced notions of human rights abuse will prevent swift and decisive judgement being meted out to anyone who participated in these riots". True to his word, one of the biggest 'round-up' seen in recent times began and law courts were open till 9 PM at night jailing offenders !!!! Within weeks, virtually every serious miscreant had been sentenced and carted off to jail. No distractions, no excuses, no talk of "white paper" et al. Just swift and decisive action. Contrast this with Nigeria where there is always one excuse or another, despite our very serious problems, for lack of action from the GEJ government. Nigerians are cursed to watch enviously , throughout the world, Nations with far less problems than we have parading leaders who always act to do the right thing and deliver "transformational" solutions quickly. Match what obtains worldwide with the inaction of GEJ regarding the sector most crucial to Nigeria's development and you begin to appreciate that nincompoops like Sillyonaire, asides not having two brain cells to rub together, are very dishonest and unsavoury individuals who will simply never appreciate that many Nigerians are very exposed to the extent they know that what some defend in Nigeria is a very sick joke. "White paper" my foot. |
Billyonaire: Yes, in my village am a well-known name with awards, in Lagos, I command the crowd of savvy businessmen and technocrats, when I go to NY, I rob mind with the best, in China, I am known by a chinese name and in Nairaland, I am Billyonaire and am winning every war. so what are you ? The answer is Persona-non-grata. ![]() |
