seanet01: Pick your choicExactly. No saintly Party in Nigeria because no such Party can exist at this stage in our evolution. We simply must choose the lesser Devils for now. |
@OP. You are wasting your own time because you fail to acknowledge the calibre of people who come here. Many joined deliberately because of Nairalands reputation as a forum that encourages ethnic rancour. What you are witnessing is happening because it is what majority here, despite their hypocritical noise, are happy with from forum members to mods and even the owner. Do you think this is the only Nigerian forum in cyberspace? Why are those other forums not hosts to the sort of vile bigots we have here? It is because the voices of decency cowers those of the miscreants - and rightfully so - on those forums. Not so here. Learn to ignore bigots and carefully choose who to respond to. That is the only way to use this forum productively. All this you are doing is akin to finding yourself in a prison filled with hardened killers and then deciding you must teach them ballet by force. |
DaLover: Just imagine the strength with which you focus on the little things...it's no wonder the bigger picture regarding Nigeria's problems continue to elude you...while your type continue to see corruption as the problem, others see it as a symptom of structural deficiencies in the system which need to be addressed.Shut up you silly bigot. |
The PDP is not tagged "a nest of killers" for nothing. http://www.newsinnigeria..com/ FORMER PDP CHAIRMAN ARRESTED FOR POLITICAL ASSASINATION |
Eziachi: You should leave him alone now and accept his explanation, irrespective of how pathetic it might have sounded. He may be genuine mixing up the two guys, its not in the gene of an average Nigerian to admit, error or not knowing something. So you guys might be here next year if you expect him to say, that he didn't know.I take no interest in alienating anyone here or dividing the forum. Nonetheless, I think we can achieve a lot by identifying what unifies us as a nation. It is almost impossible for citizens of a badly led nation not to know their few good guys. If you think about it, Dalover's gaffe eloquently illustrates the problem with Nigeria. We are simply too bigoted, divided and sentimental to note that the best nations stand as they do today because the majority always support those who they deem to be acknowledged good guys wherever they are from. Dalover's excuse for not knowing a distinguished Nigerian like Nuhu Ribadu is simply pathetic. How about I tell you , even as I am not south-African, I forgot who Mandela is? Dalover has no excuse , if a neutral Nigerian who respects our most patriotic and important men, for confusing El Rufai with Ribadu. |
DaLover: I remember now, Nuhu ribadu, how could I have forgotten so soon, my brain self...trust me, I keep confusing the guy with el rufai...lolLook, just change you ways. Prejudice is never a good thing. If you were a Nigerian predisposed to seeing good Nigerians, wherever they come from , you will never be ignorant of Ribadu to the extent you can ignorantly confuse him with El Rufai. These guys are distinguished and individual Nigerians for god sake!! They have had different histories, portfolios and impact. How can you confuse them if a Nigerian who belives goodness and evil is found in all corners of Nigeria? You should look at yourself and admit you have a problem. |
DaLover: Lol...to be honest I actually forgot he name of the third guy, but decided to put el rufai. Something about both of keeps getting me confused...I don't even want to remember him anyway...just needed o get a message across to sane people...unfortunately I am powerless in preventing less intellectually endowed lazy fellows from seeing or responding to it..Brainless, bigoted and clannish fool. Who does not know the name of Nuhu Ribadu except for a hateful m0r0n like you? You should be ashamed of yourself. If one of the most memorably important men in recent Nigerian history is not known to you, does that not confirm you are a m0r0n and/or a bigot? What more is needed to confirm you live in a bigoted world where Nigeria , for you, only involves being aware about your kinsmen and not all Nigerians especially those no Nigerian can forget because of the impact they have made on national life. Silly bigot. What an unbelievable twit. |
oyb: violence is the last refuge of the incompetentMan mi, the same way the very mediocre GEJ cannot buy leadership ability is the same way his 'slow' minions and sycophants cannot buy a decent brain to replace the Goat crap in their head. Imagine saying EL Rufai contested against GEJ in 2011. Are these not the utterances, as some of us have argued, that indicate the blind followers of GEJ here are mainly bigoted and clannish twerps who see every "Yarobus" and "abokis" as the same and enemies of GEJ? |
oyb: with all the money gej has to spend, these embarrassments are the best he can come up withAbsolutely pathetic. The sad thing is that it is these brainless and ignorant cretins who insist on being most vocal, rude and confrontational on this forum. |
DaLover: Yes pick on my grammatical errors...it's what you have sadly been reduced toOlodo. Brainless twit still cannot fathom the error revealing his gross ignorance and lack of knowledge. EL Rufai did not run to be President in 2011. Go back and gain a short history lesson to see who did that you are confusing with EL Rufai. Or better still, learn to use google since you have a free laptop at your disposal. Silly olodo. When you are this confused, it should only be those who have time to waste engaging you here. |
DaLover: I should be asking how old u are based on your shallow post....if you are really honest with yourself...you would admit that the annoyance felt by those who were asked to pay market price for Pms continues to fuel the desires of chronically lazy Nigerians to bring gej down at all cost...even if is means picking on his grammatical errors to say we told you so...What a clueless person. EL Rufai contested in 2011? Who is Bihari? I feel sorry for those who even respond to you here. |
Jarus, for all it is worth, I thought you did well at an impossible job that put you in a position where, whatever you did, you will always be vilified. Jarus, you dey Lagos? I will be around in a few weeks. Let us meet up and we can brainstorm on a current idea of mine you might be of immense help with. As per current state of affairs, don't let the over-personal attacks of some get to you. You have done what you have to do and some fools can jubilate as if they have just won the lottery. That just shows how sad these sort of people are. Those fools have no life beyond Nairaland and are likely losers in reality hence their desire to always make a mountain of the smallest mole hill here and join issues with everything/everyone. The political section you moderated ,in the grand scheme of things, is essentially a blog meant to provide a platform for Nigerians to discuss the politics of their nation. Politics is pivotally important for all Nations - especially more so for Nigeria that is very badly led. Nigerians on this forum essentially remain ignorant of that concept and instead many come here to turn issues into a personal war with mods, ethnic groups, other forumers and to make their use of Nairaland totally about carrying around enduring hatred for others from one thread to another. You can hardly win in such an arena as a forumer talk less of when you are given the job of moderation these 'troubled' people with issues. You did your best and you now have the invaluable freedom of being able to express your opinion as a member. Not a bad deal in my opinion for anyone who has a life beyond this forum. Wishing you a happy and fulfilled 2013. |
For some people to claim this is the work of mischief makers take retardness to a new level. SillyNigerian are you sure what you have in your head is not ogi?
My brother, learn to ignore cretins as much as possible. It is the most productive way to use this forum i.e ignore vermins. It is not like I have not noticed their silly comments, even the one directed at me, but I just accept it is best to ignore brainwashed nitwits who are into lying to themselves. Is it today we have been seeing highly duplicitous and dishonest actions from GEJ for anyone to now be blaming "haters" and inferring foolishly that GEJ does not have the precedence to be behind this? Abeg, focus on talking to correct folks ojare and leave the mindless idiots here. Many hate others routinely merely because they assume criticism of GEJ is criticism of their 'brother' rather than the criticism of a man who is president to all of us. That is how clannish some fools are. Their tag of "hater" , for example, is laughable because some of these losers and simpletons simply don't know who they are talking to. There are many successful, secure and gifted folks here on this forum who criticise GEJ for no other reason than his inept, ultra-profligate, corrupt and visionless leadership of their beloved nation. Not everyone is talentless to the extent sycophancy and azzlicking is the only way they know to make a living or be successful in life. To those sort of losers, it is easy to vacuously call fellow Nigerians ,critical of GEJ, "haters". |
The admonition is in order. 2015 is still a bit far away.
It may be in order but it is ultimately futile and worthless because GEJ cannot give what he does not have same as a stone cannot yield water. |
HNosegbe: Whether or not he is responsible for the posters, two things are clear:My brother, point two rests on GEJ being able to run in the first place. For those who are unemotional about these issues, GEJ being the PDP 2015 candidate is not a foregone conclusion. let GEJ even secure the PDP ticket before his sycophantic minions begin making noise. He may get the treatment he dished out to Sylva because the PDP is an opportunistic Party. It is a Party that capitalises on the mood of Nigerians to retain power at the centre. At some stage, it will become clear they will lose it all persevering with a very unpopular President. Much as some adults are unwilling to face reality, and prefer attacking perceived enemies, me and you did not make GEJ the most cursed President in the world. We are not the ones who eroded the enormous goodwill he enjoyed as a newly sworn in President with a 4 year mandate. We did not pay a Ghanaian economist to lament GEJ's leadership. It is GEJ's abject performance that caused that those thing and childish supporters should wake up and acknowledge that fact, think of nation before petty and parochial considerations, and refrain from going around in sycophancy and yobbery. |
idirect: Fast in looting more money I guess.Gbabeski. |
Some Nigerians seem to have completely lost out the quality of life and the impact of infrastructural development. I can’t imagine Nigerian criticizing project meant to enhance development and create vast employment. Is only someone that is mentally sick utter such criticism and would be left unanswered simply because of his/her psycho condition. There is a big problem in this country so people don’t know the impact of infrastructure development. This dormant brain is asking govt. to abandon the project pending the time those who lost their property get compensation. You're to be living in the zoo!
My brother, don't you know that poverty, deprivation and suffering bastardizes mentality? Nowhere is that notion demonstrated more fluidly than in our dear country. I remember a thread regarding Fayemi improving the road infrastructure of Ekiti. Some called it a lie and asked for pictures. When shown pictures, they changed tactics to begin saying road infrastructure was not important and not priority. That was when I realised that some Nigerians are simply insane. How can road infrastructure not be important or not priority for a nation with a very poorly developed transport sector to the extent road transport is virtually all we have? Which sector is not impacted upon by road infrastructure for crying out loud? My guy, just accept some of your fellow citizens are certified mad men who don't even recognise the madness emanating from some of the things they say. |
Goddex: The whole PDP with their money and swag will now postThe"nest of killers" may have money , stolen from Nigeria, but they remain a bunch of cretins and brainless nitwits. It does not take intelligence to steal in Nigeria. Their placement of the posters among garbage is ironically appropriate. |
Hardfact: Is Nigeria's problem that complex? Why not stamp your feet and deliver and then have the masses themselves force you to go for a 2nd term even if you refuse. That's the shortest cut to Aso Rock.Precisely. That is why I keep saying that Nigeria resembles a cursed aberration. Instead of GEJ performing and automatically securing support for future ambition, we will all have the displeasure of having to watch things done in an upside down manner by a nation that deliberately plans to sabotage itself. I.e a man promoted far above his station in the first place will simply attempt to buy a second term , with copious amount of Nigeria's wealth, because the performance option is out since he simply does not have even minimal ability to perform satisfactorily. |
nagoma: You are always evading the topic which performance and capacity both of which the president lacks. You also speak as if you work harder than everybody , just because you were told that there is crude oil behind your raffia hut, you think you own it all. You lazy lot must get out of Nigeria before you can claim our sovereign resources as yours alone. The fact we are talking about now is that your champion is a dummy. My brother, this is why I made this statement earlier : Our is a nation that may yet fail because of one consideration. Many have not learnt and are not interested in learning to put their nation first. Allegiance, overwhelmingly and inflexibly, is to "brothers", ethnic group, religion, geo-political zone, region etc, etc.It is only lazy thinkers and intellectual cretins, without an awareness of what nationhood entails, who would suggest that some citizens have more entitlement than others over resources found within the borders of a nation. That is crass clannishness and a display of crudeness overcoming education, basic reasoning and the notion of man respecting legality. It is by the same token some have ethnicised the Presidency to the extent they talk about "haters" et al without wishing to acknowledge the bona fide right of all Nigerians to express dissatisfaction with their grossly ineffective President. All those with the regressive "we own the oil and can dictate to others" mentality or "our Ijaw/SS/SE President is beyond the criticism of Yorubas and Hausa/fulanis" should first seek to get out of Nigeria before they start ridiculing our nation with their embarrassing lack of political sophistication. What we have , like it or not, is what we have and folks need to respect that instead of talking like children and fantasists who have zero appreciation of reality. |
CFCfan: Tinubu's influence in the ACN is still strong, especially in Lagos. The calculation is that in 2015, Fashola would either run for Senate or will be on a Presidential ticket.Where are you getting all this from? You are way off target. Forget Fashola running for the senate or Remi Tinubu becoming Governor. Those are simply your own thinking and nowhere near what is factually possible or even on the mind of influential stakeholders. |
omowolewa: No matter how fast GEJ moves, the speed of corruption is directly proportional to the speed of his Administration (if not more). How can this happen? As an example, did the entire world not see GEJ set up the Ribadu Petroleum task force? With all that happened, is it now not crystal clear GEJ intended to deceive Nigerians and give his lifetime love (corruption) 'more breathing space'? Did we not see GEJ, his 'wife' (Allison-Madueke) and minions (Otti, Orasanye) deliberately sabotage the work of Ribadu to ensure all suggestions of the committee headed straight for the waste bin? In nations where people see clearly, are not brainwashed and don't fool themselves, it would be accepted unanimously that GEJ = corruption and corruption = GEJ. I don't know why we don't accept the obvious in Nigeria with our demand that two lovers totally committed to each other should split. |
"2015: No vacancy in Aso Rock". It is now official. Nigerians, prepare for the mother of all looting. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/01/jonathans-2015-campaign-posters-flood-abuja/ Jonathan’s 2015 campaign posters flood Abuja |
Nigerians never fail to surprise me with the levels of lack of ambition and perseverance with mediocrity they show that must now be very unique to us in the comity of nations. As an example, only recently, the Ribadu report was thrown in the bin disgracefully and theatrically, in front of the entire world, without much protest from Nigerians. That was direct evidence your President wants the status quo to remain in the all-important petroleum sector. Instead of noting what needed to be seen, as responsible citizens, many even defended this ultra-corrupt President and his Petroleum Minister who committed procedurally unacceptable offences that would have seen her sacked on the spot elsewhere. Nothing came of that yet we are here discussing the 'go faster stripes' Mr.President says he has taken delivery of. 'Goodluck' to Nigeria in 2013. You will get this same speech January next near and your responses will be the same as a people who never tire of empty and unfulfilled promises and simply do not seem interested in holding leaders to account or booting them out when they fall way below acceptable standards. |
Meristem: This man is a simpleton, a misfit and sorry...this is 2013! I should rather pray for him!!!This is the bottom line. Those holding brief for GEJ are also equally weak-minded because they simply have no appreciation of what obtains elsewhere, as a minimum standard , in this day and age. Yet we are talking about the biggest black nation on earth that should ordinarily and automatically display an intelligent, charismatic and analytical solutions-provider as an inspirational example of what a black African can be and can achieve. It is not rocket science. if processes are correct, not warped and as purist as obtains worldwide then our President , even as we know he is flesh and blood, would reflect this by having special qualities that justifies why he is the apex leader of the largest number of black folks on earth. Yet we are never ashamed that instead we get a very, very, very mediocre man, with very poor skills that makes one doubt his purported training. Many of us cannot even respect him because of his bumbling ineptitude that is so elementary one would not expect to find a child displaying such!!! Yet we have unambitious, bigoted and politically gauche cretins always compelled to make excuses for what serious nations, with politically sophisticated folks, would unanimously turn their backs on as a gross failing of leadership. I pity Nigeria with how it is a nation intrinsically contrived to keep itself down. We even see it here on Nairaland with how some cursed folks argue on behalf of what would not be entertained elsewhere and would compel all citizens , whatever their leanings, to unanimously say in unison "enough is enough". Our is a nation that may yet fail because of one consideration. Many have not learnt and are not interested in learning to put their nation first. Allegiance, overwhelmingly and inflexibly, is to "brothers", ethnic group, religion, geo-political zone, region etc, etc. It is what brainwashes many to defend what must not be defended to the extent of the crazy talk we witness here I never see citizens of other Nations guilty of. |
Eziachi: Thanks for the lecture on insurgency, probably you think Nairaland is made of children from Jankara market nursery school. Boko Haram style of events are not completely new in Nigeria.Oga Eziachi, long time. As you are one of the few Nairalanders worthy of the respect of all, I wish you a happy new year. keep being you because it is your kind who add true value to this forum as truly wise men. |
AjanleKoko: Another 'gbagaun'. Reuben and Doyin are not helping this man at allMy guy, I don't think those guys had anything to do with this. In my opinion, this is just a simple man, placed far above his station, trying to'improvise' by appealing cheaply and deceitfully to the deeply unhelpful religiosity of Nigerians to mask his own gross incompetence. Better to tell a fanatically religious Christian crowd to accept bombing and terrorist acts because it may be a sign of something 'bigger than us all' , i.e "end times", than accept his own impotence and unacceptable failings at protecting Nigerian lives and property. |
Pukkah: Must he talk? Must he continually embarass himself and the country each time he talks extempore? We are not going to be "free" of anything as long as ethnic/religious/sectional bias and sentiments remain a factor in how Nigerians make decisions. My brother, think about it yourself. How many Nations of the world do you know where citizens are sentimental to the extent they would ignore the very mediocre history of a candidate, that screams "future failure" , and insist on voting for him merely because they resent the ethnicity, region of origin and religion of the other candidates who are a million times better? Inspected logically, factually and without sentiments, nothing, I repeat nothing, indicated GEJ would even be average let alone effective. If anything, his history showed a man primed to fail and "underwhelm" as we are seeing now. Yet Nigerians, confirming my suspicion they are among the least politically sophisticated in the world, trooped to the polling station to cast their vote for a self-confessed mediocrity. While PDP remains powerful, simpletons and 'business-as-usual' stooges is all they will ever supply. "Boy with no shoe" propaganda, plus appeals to the sentimental and biased nature of Nigerians, will do the rest. |
@OP You are wasting your time. One thing many simply don't understand is that it is the worst losers, from all ethnic groups, who make their way to this forum because they love all the ethnic wars, finger-pointing and hollow noise of ethnic superiority that makes them feel better about their personal lives which is probably pathetic. Those people are not here for ethnic harmony. They are here to fight each other and carry on whatever vendetta or 'unfinished business' plagues their hateful and malevolent souls. Those sort , perhaps frustrated and unfulfilled in reality, blame and want to remain blaming other ethnic groups for their woes. Good luck trying to foster peace between those sort of losers. Better yet, learn to ignore them and their repetitively childish and inane gibberish. |
I dey laugh. Nigerians ,mentally stuck in the dark ages, went ahead to pander to bias and vote a total mediocrity into a very important job needing a high degree of analytical/innovative thinking and problem solving ability. Now they are seeking 'achievements' like a person expecting water to come from a stone. Funny people who simply remain too sentimental to accept GEJ cannot give what he does not have. |
