Celebrities / Throw Back Photos Of Denrele Edun by gbolakpine(m): 12:03pm On May 15, 2015
I must say that most of our successful entertainers have been sharing photos of them before the fame, not for you to only know they suffered in the past but to teach a lesson that if you wanna be somebody in life and you surely wanna go somewhere, you have to wake up and pay attention to your goals, talents as well as your passion...

These photos were yesterday shared by Denrele Edun, popular and unique fashionister (if that exist). Years back i attended a seminar where he was the MC, after sharing his life story, he said he dresses the way you see him dress not because he is crazy but because he just want to be unique. He further quoted that "it's better to be a first class of your own self than a second class of another person". Till today that statement still rings in my ear...

I hope you all can learn something from him...

In the photo posted on his instagram page, he wrote this as his caption.

"One of my first ever MAJOR FashionGuru moments at Soundcity! The title "Channel Ambassador"was bestowed upon me in August 2005 and i so desperately wanted to make an impression! I wore the frigging daylights outta this outfit so tey my Oga increased my 50k salary to 65k so that i could construct other costumes! (Fear not...i worked so friggin hard that i go salary increment by 300% but that was 2 years later o!).
Took this picture right in front of #5 Ayojagun str (soundcity studio) in Lekki phase 1. I was disgruntled that day cos all the footage from the shows i recorded the previous nite were all wiped out!!
Our hustle is epic sha!
And this @emmycollinslondon tanktop was my bestest cloth that period...
I know what y'al are thinking already.... Long story cut short,I USED TO BE IN THE DARK BUT NOW I'VE FOUND LIGHT!".

HUSTLE PAY, SEEK NO SHORT CUT, WORK HARDER PRAY HARDER

Celebrities / Teenager Dies While Trying To Take A Selfie by gbolakpine(m): 3:20pm On May 14, 2015
You girls should be careful with the rate and manner at which you take photos of yourselves... Am not against taking selfies but am against the stupidity and carelessness attached to it... Read this story and learn!
Anna Ursu, 18, went to the train station in the northern Romanian town of Iasi in the hope of taking a ‘special’ selfie to post on Facebook.

However, while lying on top of the train, she accidentally touched the electrical field of a live wire with her leg sending 27,000 volts through her body and causing her to burst into flames while her 17 year old who was with her was sent flying through the air.
A witness who tried to warn them of the dangers of what they were about to do, attempted to save Anna and extinguish her flaming clothes, but the 18-year-old died in hospital with more than 50 percent burns. Her friend, 17, is currently recovering in hospital.

The witness said he had called for the girls to get down when he saw them on top of the train but they ignored his warnings. He said shortly after he warned them, he heard a bang – and Anna burst into flames

Politics / President Yahya Jammeh Threatens To Slit The Throat Of Gay Men In His Country by gbolakpine(m): 1:22pm On May 14, 2015
Where i got this news from, i understand that the writer is in support of homosexuality, thinking that since the world is advancing and changing, people should be given the right choose whatever they want to become irrespective of what the religion says...

Hey, i know what you are thinking, am neutral here, who am i to judge but its important to know that as a christian, any form of homosexuality is not allowed...

President Yahya Jammeh, in a speech at a rally in the town of Farafeni, threatened all homosexuals in his country. “If you do it I will slit your throat. If you are a man and want to marry another man in this country and we catch you, no one will ever set eyes on you again, and no white person can do anything about it” President Jammeh said, according to The Washington Post.

Jammeh has a history with homosexuals having threatened to behead them once before, and has criminalised the act such that those caught could conceivably face life in prison.

What do you think of his statements?

Politics / South Africa Set To Pay HIV Positive People Who Tattoo Status On Their Privates by gbolakpine(m): 9:26am On May 11, 2015
South African Government reveals that HIV positive South Africans that volunteer to be marked near their genital area with a tatoo depicting their status, will be entitled to free counselling and medication, in addition, they will be paid (50 000 Rands), equal to N840, 000 each, according to a bill newly signed by President Jacob Zuma.

Zuma who is reported to to have volunteered to be the first South African citizen to get his HIV status tatted near his genitals, however announced that only the first 10 million people already tested positive who volunteer to have their HIV statuses tatted on their genitals would be given the money in form of a funeral expense voucher.

After signing the bill, Zuma was quoted as saying: “The mark is to protect those who can’t say no to sex. I mean if you can’t read between the lines you should read between the legs because that’s where the status would be tatted. The choice to be HIV positive is now in your hands or your genitals for that matter…. We also encourage those who had been living with the virus to go to the nearest public hospitals to get their status tatted in,” he noted. South Africa has the world’s highest HIV caseload and premature deaths of 300,000 people. In 2006, Zuma faced charges of raping an HIV-positive family friend, and was ridiculed for testifying that he took a shower after sex to lower the risk of infection with HIV. His determination to help millions South Africans infected with HIV and around 60,000 babies born HIV infected each year. “Let there be no more shame, no more blame, no more discrimination and no more stigm. Let the politicisation and endless debates about HIV and AIDS stop,” Zuma noted.

What do you guys think about this move... HIV status mark = 50000 Rands

Celebrities / Some Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Christiano Ronaldo by gbolakpine(m): 12:43pm On May 09, 2015
How well do you know the 3 time World Best Footballer? You probably didn't know all about him. Read this facts and add it to your knowledge.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo: That rich, good looking soccer star goes by the name Cristiano Ronaldo, but his full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro.

2. He was named after a president: Cristiano Ronaldo's father was such an avid fan of Ronald Reagan that he named his son after the former president.

3. He was nicknamed cry-baby as a kid: Like any real man, Cristiano is in touch with his emotions. So much so that back when Ronaldo was a child, kids nicknamed him "cry-baby" when he would pass the ball and his teammates didn't score.

4. He was expelled from school: At the tender age of just 14, Ronaldo was expelled from school following a Bobby Knight-like incident where he threw a chair at his teacher. After being expelled, Ronaldo was encouraged to focus primarily on soccer. That seemed to turn out pretty well.

5. He was diagnosed with a racing heart: Ronaldo's legendary soccer career almost didn't come to fruition. When the footballer was 15, he was diagnosed with a racing heart. Just days after surgery, Ronaldo resumed playing soccer.

6. Five times the power of a cheetah: Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his legendary kicks and jumps. When he leaps into the air, he creates a total of 5G in G-force or the equivalent of five times a cheetah at full flight.

7. He's got a powerful leg: Not only do Cristiano Ronaldo's legs get him extraordinarily high off the ground, they generate an enormous amount of power in his free kicks. Ronaldo has hurt several fans who have gotten in the crossfire of his heatseekers. Including a broken wrist and nose by two fans.

8. He opened his own museum: In an act of giving the people what they want, Ronaldo built a museum in his honor in 2013. Constructed in Funchal, Portugal, Museu CR7 offers guests a chance to see trophies that he has won. And, of course, a life-size replica of the icon.

9. He doesn't have a single tattoo: Cristiano Ronaldo needn't worry about people bad-mouthing artwork on his body like Colin Kaepernick and other sports superstars. CR7 doesn't have a tattoo on his body due to his regular blood donations.

10. Cristiano Waxwork Ronaldo: In 2010, Ronaldo became the fourth soccer player to be immortalized in waxwork form at Madame Tussauds London. The three legendary players waxed before CR7 were Pele, David Beckham and Steven Gerrard.

11. Arnold is a big fan: Arnold Schwarzenegger, known for being muscle-bound, has said he is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo's physique and "great abs." Can you think of a better compliment to get from the freakin' Terminator?

12. He doesn't drink alcohol: Due to his father's problems with alcohol, Ronaldo does not partake in the consumption of adult beverages.
13. He has an iPhone game: Cristiano joined the iPhone app craze in 2011 with his game Heads Up with Cristiano.

Celebrities / Wizkid & I Were Never Friends..it Was Just Business- Skales by gbolakpine(m): 5:21pm On Mar 08, 2015
Prior to the recent twitter rumble between the two former E.M.E boys, in a recent interview with TheNet.ng, Skales let it all out saying the relationship between himself and Starboy boss, Wizkid is strictly business and nothing more...

Below is an excerpt of his interview...

Let’s talk about your recent twitter spat with Wizkid, you guys were together at an event some hours before you went online, what really happened?
The truth is, we were not really together, we were just at the same venue at the same event that’s all, and really, whatever needs to be said now has already been said on twitter so you can pick everything there, right now I’ve put the whole episode behind me. I just want people to focus more on my music, it’s life human beings must always fallout.

Let’s go back to your time at E.M.E, what kind of relationship did you have with Wizkid?

We were just there, we were cool. For me it was just about making music, that’s what brought us together in the first place, it’s not like we are from the same family, so let’s just focus on the music which was what I did, if I had something on my mind I always say it out.

At what point did you guys really fall out?

We never really fell out, the relationship we had has always been about music, it’s not like we are brothers, we are not from the same family like I said, it was just business and music, so we were cool, and even till now we are still cool, I have no bad blood against him, I just want to face my music right now, I’m about to drop my album and that’s all that matters to me right now.

How long have you been trying to get Wizkid to work with you?
For as long as every other person has been trying I guess (laughs), we know that he’s a busy person and I’m a busy person too, I’m doing my own thing too. The truth is, I really don’t want to talk about it.

Will you consider working with Wizkid anytime soon?
I don’t know, fingers crossed

Celebrities / Review Of Twitter Fights Between Wizkid And Other Artistes by gbolakpine(m): 12:03pm On Mar 06, 2015
Formerly the E.M.E boy, now Starboy boss, Wizkid has been the center of attraction recently and consequently building a reputation as a twitter fighter.
In recent times, he has been involved in several Twitter battles with  colleagues in the entertainment industry like Banky W, Samklef, Saeon, and most recent Skales. Below is a review of how it all went down. Enjoy...
Wizkid and Banky W
When he left Banky W’s record label, his departure led to a spat with the RnB singer,  with Banky labeling him an ingrate. Wizkid had taken a swipe at his former master, saying:” I can never be replaced, you mistook my loyalty for stupidity”.

Wizkid and Samklef
The same scenario ensued between him and his former producer, Samklef who produced his major hit songs. Samklef was particularly bitter because Wizkid would not accord him the respect he deserved despite producing six songs free of charge for the Starboy. The duo took each other to the cleaners on Twitter, saying unprintable things about each other but many would remember that Wizkid was a bit more caustic in his choice of words.

Wizkid and Davido face-off.
Perhaps, this arose as a result of the perceived rivalry between the duo and fueled by people who actually wanted to see and hear what the two singers think of each other. But it was Wizkid who took the bait and fired the first salvo, to which Davido replied in kind.
When the beef was getting like Ponmo Davido came out to say how he got railroaded into it. “This is the first time I’m saying this but the only reason I was upset was because of the NY concert. I was even going to tweet like you know ‘make sure everybody turn up for my brother Wizkid’s concert’ and he threw shade like that” he says.
Wizkid and Saeon
For Baseline artiste, Saeon, her anger with Wizkid was born out of a different beef. It was the music diva that threw the first stone that definitely met Wizkid in his orbit. First, she complained and made public that the Caro crooner charged her for a collabo she did with him. Secondly, she whined that he did throw his weight behind the promotion of the song.
Trust Wizzy, he paid her back in an interview that he made the song a hit, that aside that he knows nothing about her. However, the news crept out later that Saeon paid Wizkid N1.5 million to get him to do a collabo with her.
Wizkid and

On Monday, February 23, 2015 Baseline star, Skales lashed out  at his  friend and former
labe
l mate, Wizkid, saying  he is afraid of other people’s success, adding that he stole his Azonto beat which  Legendary beatz, the producer of the song  debunked.
In his reply , Wizkid said Skales didn’t make any money for his former label while he was with them. “Even when the label wanted to drop you because you didn’t make one naira for three years! I was there! You are a foolish guy with zero brain.”
The

connection Banky W who discovered the duo of  Skales and Wizkid has kept mum on the ongoing bickering between his protégés. The E.M.E boss only took to his social media account to announce  that he will be heading for London and will be back in a couple of days.

Health / Healthy Dieting And Weight Loss Tips by gbolakpine(m): 10:13pm On Jan 02, 2015
#1: Avoid common pitfalls

Diets, especially fad diets or “quick-fix” pills and plans, often set you up for failure because:

You feel deprived. Diets that cut out entire groups of food, such as carbs or fat, are simply impractical, not to mention unhealthy. The key is moderation.
You lose weight, but can’t keep it off. Diets that severely cut calories, restrict certain foods, or rely on ready-made meals might work in the short term but don’t include a plan for maintaining your weight, so the pounds quickly come back.
After your diet, you seem to put on weight more quickly. When you drastically restrict your food intake, your metabolism will temporarily slow down. Once you start eating normally, you’ll gain weight until your metabolism bounces back.
You break your diet and feel too discouraged to try again. When diets make you feel deprived, it’s easy to fall off the wagon. Healthy eating is about the big picture. An occasional splurge won’t kill your efforts.
You lose money faster than you lose weight. Special shakes, meals, and programs are not only expensive, but they aren’t practical for long-term weight loss.
You feel lost when dining out. If the food served isn’t on your specific diet plan, what can you do?
The person on the commercial lost 30 lbs. in two months—and you haven’t. Diet companies make a lot of grandiose promises, and most are simply unrealistic.

#2: Put a stop to emotional eating
Put a Stop to Emotional Eating

We don’t always eat simply to satisfy hunger. If we did, no one would be overweight. All too often, we turn to food for comfort and stress relief. When this happens, we frequently pack on pounds.

Do you reach for a snack while watching TV? Do you eat when you’re stressed or bored? When you’re lonely? Or to reward yourself? Recognizing your emotional eating triggers can make all the difference in your weight loss efforts:

If you eat when you’re stressed, find healthier ways to calm yourself. Try exercise, yoga, meditation, or soaking in a hot bath.
If you eat when you’re feeling low on energy, find other mid-afternoon pick-me-ups. Try walking around the block, listening to energizing music, or taking a short nap.
If you eat when you’re lonely or bored, reach out to others instead of reaching for the refrigerator. Call a friend who makes you laugh, take your dog for a walk, or go out in public (to the library, mall, or park—anywhere there’s people).

#3: Tune in when you eat

We live in a fast-paced world where eating has become mindless. We eat on the run, at our desk while we’re working, and in front of the TV screen. The result is that we consume much more than we need, often without realizing it.

Counter this tendency by practicing “mindful” eating: pay attention to what you eat, savor each bite, and choose foods that are both nourishing and enjoyable.
Mindful eating weight loss tips

Pay attention while you’re eating. Instead of chowing down mindlessly, savor the experience. Eat slowly, savoring the smells and textures of your food. If your mind wanders, gently return your attention to your food and how it tastes and feels in your mouth.
Avoid distractions while eating. Try not to eat while working, watching TV, or driving. It’s too easy to mindlessly overeat.
Chew your food thoroughly. Try chewing each bite 30 times before swallowing. You’ll prolong the experience and give yourself more time to enjoy each bite.
Try mixing things up to force yourself to focus on the experience of eating. Try using chopsticks rather than a fork, or use your utensils with your non-dominant hand.
Stop eating before you are full. It takes time for the signal to reach your brain that you’ve had enough. Avoid the temptation to clean your plate. Yes, there are children starving in Africa, but your weight gain won’t help them.

#4: Fill up with fruit, veggies, and fiber

To lose weight, you have to eat fewer calories. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to eat less food. You can fill up while on a diet, as long as you choose your foods wisely.
Fiber: the secret to feeling satisfied while losing weight

High-fiber foods are higher in volume and take longer to digest, which makes them filling. There’s nothing magic about it, but the weight-loss results may seem like it.

High-fiber heavyweights include:

Fruits and vegetables – Enjoy whole fruits across the rainbow (strawberries, apples, oranges, berries, nectarines, plums), leafy salads, and green veggies of all kinds.
Beans – Select beans of any kind (black beans, lentils, split peas, pinto beans, chickpeas). Add them to soups, salads, and entrees, or enjoy them as a hearty dish on their own.
Whole grains – Try high-fiber cereal, oatmeal, brown rice, whole-wheat pasta, whole-wheat or multigrain bread, and air-popped popcorn.

Counting calories and measuring portion sizes can quickly become tedious, but you don’t need an accounting degree to enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables. It’s generally safe to eat as much as you want, whenever you want.

The high water and fiber content in most fresh fruits and vegetables makes them hard to overeat. You’ll feel full long before you’ve overdone it on the calories.
Eat vegetables raw or steamed, not fried or breaded, and dress them with herbs and spices or a little olive oil or cheese for flavor.
Add nuts and cheese to salads but don’t overdo it. Use low-fat salad dressings, such as a vinaigrette made with olive oil.
Pour a little less cereal into your morning bowl to make room for some blueberries, strawberries, or sliced bananas. You’ll still enjoy a full bowl, but with a lower calorie count.
Swap out some of the meat and cheese in your sandwich with healthier veggie choices like lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, cucumbers, and avocado.
Instead of a high-calorie snack, like chips and dip, try baby carrots or celery with hummus.
Add more veggies to your favorite main courses to make your dish “go” further. Even dishes such as pasta and stir-fries can be diet-friendly if you use less noodles and more vegetables.
Try starting your meal with a salad or soup to help fill you up, so you eat less of your entrée.

#5: Indulge without overindulging
Try not to think of certain foods as "off limits"

When you ban certain foods, it is natural to want those foods more, and then feel like a failure if you give in to temptation. Instead of denying yourself the unhealthy foods you love, simply eat them less often.

If you’ve ever found yourself polishing off a pint of ice cream or stuffing yourself with cookies or chips after spending a whole day virtuously eating salads, you know how restrictive diet plans usually end. Deprivation diets set you up for failure: you starve yourself until you snap, and then you overdo it, cancelling out all your previous efforts.

In order to successfully lose weight and keep it off, you need to learn how to enjoy the foods you love without going overboard. A diet that places all your favorite foods off limits won’t work in the long run. Eventually, you’ll feel deprived and will cave. And when you do, you probably won’t stop at a sensible-sized portion.
Tips for enjoying treats without overeating

Combine your treat with other healthy foods. You can still enjoy your favorite high-calorie treat, whether it’s ice cream, chips, cake, or chocolate. The key is to eat a smaller serving along with a lower-calorie option. For example, add strawberries to your ice cream or munch on carrot and celery sticks along with your chips and dip. By piling on the low-cal option, you can eat a diet-friendly portion of your favorite treat without feeling deprived.
Schedule your treats. Establish regular times when you get to indulge in your favorite food. For example, maybe you enjoy a small square of chocolate every day after lunch, or a slice of cheesecake every Friday evening. Once you’re conditioned to eat your treat at those times—and those times only—you’ll stop obsessing about them at other times.
Make your indulgence less indulgent. Find ways to reduce fat, sugar, or calories in your favorite treats and snacks. If you do your own baking, cut back on sugar, making up for it with extra cinnamon or vanilla extract. You can also eliminate or reduce high-calorie sides, like whipped cream, cheese, dip, and frosting.
Engage all your senses—not just your taste sense. You can make snack time more special by lighting candles, playing soothing music, or eating outdoors in a beautiful setting. Get the most pleasure—and the most relaxation—out of your treat by cutting it into small pieces and taking your time.

#6: Take charge of your food environment

Your weight loss efforts will succeed or fail based largely on your food environment. Set yourself up for success by taking charge of your food environment: when you eat, how much you eat, and what foods are available.

Eat early, weigh less. When you eat—as well as how much—may also affect your weight. Early studies suggest that consuming more of your daily calories at breakfast and fewer at dinner can help you drop more pounds. Eating a larger, healthy breakfast can jump start your metabolism, stop you feeling hungry during the day, and give you more time to burn off the calories.
Serve yourself smaller portions. One easy way to control portion size is by using small plates, bowls, and cups. This will make your portions appear larger. Don’t eat out of large bowls or directly from the food container or package, which makes it difficult to assess how much you’ve eaten. Using smaller utensils, like a teaspoon instead of tablespoon, can slow eating and help you feel full sooner.
Plan your meals and snacks ahead of time. You will be more inclined to eat in moderation if you have thought out healthy meals and snacks in advance. You can buy or create your own small portion snacks in plastic bags or containers. Eating on a schedule will also help you avoid eating when you aren’t truly hungry.
Cook your own meals. Cooking meals at home allows you to control both portion size and what goes in to the food. Restaurant and packaged foods generally contain a lot more sodium, fat, and calories than food cooked at home—plus the portion sizes tend to be larger.
Don’t shop for groceries when you’re hungry. Create a shopping list and stick to it. Be especially careful to avoid high-calorie snack and convenience foods.
Out of sight, out of mind. Limit the amount of tempting foods you have at home. If you share a kitchen with non-dieters, store snack foods and other high-calorie indulgences in cabinets or drawers out of your sight.
Fast for 14 hours a day. Try to eat your last meal earlier in the day and then fast until breakfast the next morning. Studies suggest that this simple dietary adjustment—eating only when you’re most active and giving your digestive system a long break each day—may help you to lose weight.

Switching to diet soda isn’t the answer either, as studies suggest that it triggers sugar cravings and contributes to weight gain. Instead, try switching to water with lemon, unsweetened iced tea, or carbonated water with a splash of juice.

#7: Make healthy lifestyle changes

You can support your dieting efforts by making healthy lifestyle choices.

Get plenty of exercise. Exercise is a dieter’s best friend. It not only burns calories, but also can improve your resting metabolism. No time for a long workout? Research shows that three 10-minute spurts of exercise per day are just as good as one 30-minute workout.
Turn off the TV. You actually burn less calories watching television than you do sleeping! If you simply can’t miss your favorite shows, get a little workout in while watching. Do easy exercises like squats, sit-ups, jogging in place, or using resistance bands or hand weights.
Drink more water. Reduce your daily calorie intake by replacing soda, alcohol, or coffee with water. Thirst can also be confused with hunger, so by drinking water, you may avoid consuming extra calories.

Politics / Buhari Takes 2015 Election To Facebook by gbolakpine(m): 11:32am On Dec 19, 2014
Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has taken his stand in contesting in 2015 general elections to a new level by making his ambitions known via social media...

According to iPUNCH on Facebook on Thursday showed that the retired general had begun keeping up with the use of the social service with a view to attracting the support of the younger generation.
Although many online analysts might argue that Buhari registered his presence on social media late, his followership has begun growing in leaps and bounds.

Since he emerged the flag bearer of the opposition party, rarely a day goes by without a fresh update on his Facebook page. He now boasts a following of over 149,000 people who subscribe to his online posts.

However, Buhari’s online standing is a far cry from the influence President Goodluck Jonathan wields there. Jonathan, who signed up for Facebook in 2010, has a flowing of over 1.7m people.
But in his latest post following the emergence of his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Buhari stated that he had begun settling down to strategise with the APC vice-presidential candidate in the build-up to the election.

The former head-of-state noted that he would create time to read through the comments and observations of his fans via his Facebook page, as he moves to dislodge Jonathan from Aso Rock in 2015.

“I take note of every comment, suggestion and feedback you give me. Please keep them coming. Thank you for your support,” Buhari wrote on Facebook.
The APC presidential candidate promised his Facebook fans that he would work with all Nigerians irrespective of religious or ethnic backgrounds to “help make our societies more compassionate, more just, and more equitable.”

He has also reached out to Nigerians suffering what he described as “senseless attacks” by the Islamist sect, Boko Haram.

“To my long-suffering fellow citizens who have borne the brunt of these almost daily senseless attacks, I say help is on the way. Terror must and will be defeated. All it requires is the political will, uncommon courage and unrelenting determination, and victory will be ours,” Buhari added on his Facebook page.

Meanwhile, Jonathan has yet to actively engage Nigerians via his Facebook account, like he did months preceding the 2011 general elections.
But in his recent engagement with his fans, Jonathan stated that he would not renege on his efforts aimed at making Nigeria a reference point in the comity of nations.

The President claimed that Nigeria was witnessing a revolution in the railway sector, adding that his administration’s desire to link the nation’s commercial and administrative capitals was receiving global affirmation.

“This forward march to progress will continue, with your cooperation, until Nigeria’s infrastructure, be they roads, schools, airports or hospitals, are listed as amongst the best in the world. And by God’s grace, this will happen in the not too distant future,” Jonathan stated on his Facebook page.
Jonathan explained that he had been humbled by his ratification as the sole presidential candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

“I am humbled by this affirmation and, by the grace of God, I will never let you down even as I promise to build on the progress already made. May God bless you all and may He also bless our Motherland, Nigeria. Forward Nigeria!” he added.

Further checks online showed that no authentic social media accounts could be traced to Vice-President Nnamadi Sambo. But Osinbajo has since signed up for the micro-blogging service, posting his first tweet on December 10.

Although he has yet to react to his emergence as Buhari’s running mate online, the law professor hailed the retired general’s candidature when he was elected.
“I congratulate General Buhari on his victory at the primaries. That was well deserved. We see better days ahead,” he had stated following Buhari’s emergence.

Stating that he was looking forward to having a good time online, the former Lagos justice commissioner’s engagement with avid users of the micro-blogging service in the last eight days has earned him 5, 600 followers.

Meanwhile, the lawmaker representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Dr. Bukola Saraki, argued that the majority of the lawmakers who failed to win return tickets were those who placed “Jonathan above the nation.”

Saraki stated that he believed the lawmakers in the 7th Assembly could have done a better job, if they had been “a bit firmer and tougher” on their oversight functions.

“Hope senators coming in the 8th Assembly will learn from what is happening in the 7th assembly. Senators who put GEJ above the nation now have no return tickets,” Saraki said.

Celebrities / Wednesday, 17 December 2014 I Was Molested By A Priest In Secondary School by gbolakpine(m): 12:42pm On Dec 17, 2014
Lola Omotayo recently revealed at the Kinabuti Dare2Dream Project in Lagos a secret part of her life to help out young girls at the project.
Lola revealed that when she was in her secondary school days, she was molested by a priest and she could not tell anyone in her family.

She said that the situation repeated itself in a former relationship before finally meeting Peter of P-Square and then getting married.
Read her speach below....
“You shouldn’t let your past determine what your destiny will be, we all have our past whether good or bad or makes us unhappy, we all had a life that we lived that we are not happy about, you shouldn’t let it bother you from succeeding. When I was a young girl in my early teens in high school, I was molested by a catholic priest, i blamed myself, i didn’t tell anyone because i was ashamed, couldn’t tell anyone cos i felt everyone would blame me, so i carried on the guilt and bitterness with me for years. I was filled with hate and i became a angry person, i was rebellious, i didn’t want to listen to anybody…and because i wanted to be expelled from school to avoid seeing this person, i would do so many terrible things, everything around me was just so negative, i felt i wasn’t good enough…. Anyway i moved on to the university, met the love of my life and i’m like, okay this guy is cool, he loves me…and then he started to abuse me….i was beaten black and blue all the time, in front of friends, in public and at a point i felt, you know what I am not worthy enough, there is nothing about me that is nice, nobody loves me but i hid this from my family….i felt like a loser..so it was hard for me to focus..so one day i woke up and said i am going to change my story and i dumped that person, focus on my education and decided to be serious and be something….i decided to get a job and go to school full time in America… I worked hard…my parents were sending me money cos I didn’t tell them i was working but i was working because i wanted to be independent…I didn’t want to depend on any man or on my parents even though they would have done anything for me…so i did all sorts of job, i was a make up artiste, i worked in a cafe, school library, i did so many things and i didn’t realise that these jobs were building me up as a person, building my resume, my confidence….people began to like me because i was adding value to their lives….at work i was excellent and so was i in school and that built me as a strong woman…and at some point, i sought counseling to get over my molestation issues where i was made to see reasons why i wasn’t at fault cos i was a child then…today I am accomplished. You can be whatever woman you want to be but you have to believe in yourself, if they reject you today, it doesn’t mean you should let your dreams die, you have something unique about you. Look at my husband, when i met him peeps were like what are you doing with him, he has nothing but i stood my ground and choose to stick with him cos he had a dream. He and his twin brother did not let their dream die, they worked hard..look at them today! I stuck by him cos he had focus and drive and today i am happy, i have a good life, we are happy and we have got a beautiful family. No one can make you a loser.”

When asked if it bothers him that people think he's arrogant, Wizkid said;
"Bother me? Never! I am not bothered. Honestly I don't hear people saying it because anytime I go out, I show my fans great love. I do my thing. I don't have problem with that because I don't love everybody as well. So I don't expect everybody to love me too. T
hat's life"

When asked if he is terrible person, Wizkid said;
"Terrible? Everyone has opinion about people. But when they say Wizkid is terrible, you need to ask them, "Why is Wizkid a terrible person? What did he do? For four years, I was making music with Samklef, everyone knew his house. I was going up and down, shouting, Samklef Nor Ni. That's me, I am just trying to be a good person. Whereas everyone cannot like you and everyone cannot hate you" he said.

Asked if fame has in anyway changed him, Wizkid said
"No, fame has not changed Wizkid. The only thing fame has changed in Wizkid is that I added some accessories. I have got nice chains, watches, and nice clothes. Asides that, I am still Wizkid. I no tall, still same height"

In reaction to his recent controversy with singer Saeon, he said...
"Oh really? She's bitter about it. I didn't see the allegation but I gave her hit song. I no try? I did my part. I was in the studio with her, gave her hit song. I no try. That's not even how much I charge for collaboration, I charge N10 million. I collected N1.5 million from her because of love. I was busy, I didn't want to do it" he said.

When asked about the comment that he doesn't charge those he loves, the star said;

"You know now. I didn't have accessories when I started my career. Did you see me wearing bling-bling when I did Hola at your boi? No! I hustled to get money to buy them and there is no crime if I show it or flaunt it to my fans because they gave me money to buy them" he said
