Absolutely correct. There used to be a jetty around that corridor with a suspended bar where some English and Irish expat band perform every Friday night. I rarely miss those Friday nights till I left Nigeria in 2009.I came back 5 years later and one huge edifice had taken over that space. Solution is move to a cheaper province, get married or find a partner.
2 . Cost of living- where in the world is not costly. With all the amenities, free resources, and standard of living why should it be cheap There are many people earning 3700 dols a month but staying in apartments costing 2200 dols. Is that not madness. 3 . Boredom and loneliness- Nigerians move to a cold country and refuse to do what whites do in the winter. Whose fault is that Many ladies from Nigeria have unrealistic expectations and are single to stupor. Whose fault is that Lol

5. Professional jobs- doctors know this before coming and should have explored uk. A friend passed the medical exams in 18months its doable. Yes there are issues with Canada experience but with constant applications and upgrading ones skills. You will be able to get in. You and i both know many people with only Nigerians experience or degrees balling in big companies

Some of you just came of age in 2014/2015 or just being mischievous. Fuel subsidy payments in Nigeria through out the PDP era was a fraud. Licences were given to children and cronies of PDP chieftains who collect monies from NNPC for fuels they never imported. They were probes about these payments with reports that never saw the light of the day.
When Buhari came in NNPC became the sole importer of fuel and underrecovery (still subsidy) was being paid so that the final consumer can get it below the landing cost. So instead of you to buy fuel at #350 govt is paying marketers about #180 so that you can buy at #170.

Subsidy is killing the economy and it must go. I have taken time to explain this not because I want to convince those whose hearts are already filled with hate even if the fuel is given free of charge at filling stations. I just want to set the record straight between the subsidy of the PDP era and what we have now. Thank you if you have taken time to read this up to this point.
