Life hard my people, the minimum rent for a one bedroom apartment in this Lagos is 350k, total package 600k. And if I'm saying minimum, I mean outskirts from Abule egba down to Alakuko, how can someone on a minimum wage afford to live in a comfy place.

Most of us grew up in face to face apartments, and we never wished to have kids there, but you see this naija economy go humble you nah!

If you're privileged to still live in your parents house, stay oo, and save your money towards something profitable, and also settle some bills at home, so dem no go use body hitting kill you.

Rail projects shouldn't stop them from fixing the inner roads in the communities. They need to focus more on the grassroot where they get their votes from and stop trying to please their elite friends who don't even vote.

Hello bro, just thought you should know a mid-class car Mercedes (W203) and likes of corolla's fuel consumption is quite similar due to Mercedes-Benz having not less than 13 different types of engines, diesel engines too, but the corrolla should not be more than 3 if at all.

My point is; the maintenance culture matters, corrolla parts are expensive as well. Most of the time the spare parts sellers adds money if they notice you don't know what you are doing. You could get a 4 cylinder W203 engine cheaper than that of Corolla. I stand corrected after your findings. If you want to try benz, make sure you buy from Europe, you go fit select the 1.8 and 2.0 options like the japs then you can compare.

The 02 Ml350 you mentioned is a 3.7 V6. I will never suggest that to newbie.

Thank you for this post, most people don't know you can get a budget Benz which is even more rugged and with cheaper parts than that thief magnet corolla, corolla engine is nothing less than 400-450 and the W203 is way lesser than that. Op, you can definitely build a 3bed bungalow with that amount assuming you have a land already. My cousin and I embarked on building our homes at same time, we got a land at Ota, after cannanland. We decided on producing blocks for ourselves. A bag of cement will produce 45- 50 max very strong blocks. MAN Diesel trucks of sharp sand worth 42k and workmanship of 800 naira per bag of cement. Arrangement of blocks to lintel level and workmanship costs almost 400k.

Roofing took the most costs, buying the wood costs 450-470k and the roofing sheets was about 700k.

If your site is situated in a remote area, building costs will be cheap. Don't allow anyone discourage you, use laborers situated where your site is and ensure you monitor them closely, you'll definitely get value for your money.
