Actually, I just read the opposite, Governors Demand Amnesty for Kidnappers Abuja — GOVERNORS of the thirty-six states of the federation, under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors' Forum, yesterday, called on President Umaru Yar'Adua to treat kidnapping in the country the way he addressed that of the militancy in the Niger Delta.http://allafrica.com/stories/200910070004.htmlThis is amnesty thing is a dangerous trend, pretty soon area boys will demand for amnesty. |

Politics › Re: I'll Choose Yar'adua Over Obasanjo - Akinyele by Gekko(m): 8:49pm On Oct 06, 2009 |
This man is a buffoon, about as useless as frog tits, can't believe this once upon of time Minister of Information can be so misinformed.
this is an excerpt of the interview that i find particularly disturbing:
Both. How do you see his records in those aspects?
What you have to understand is that if Yar'Adua does not appoint ministers, if the National Assembly does not appropriate fund to the ministries it is then you can blame Yar'Adua. Who is to blame? The ministers in charge of all these. There are times when you ought to blame the ministers you are blaming the President, no! If the president does not appoint a minister for information, does not appoint a minister for finance or a minister for agriculture and does not apportion to their ministries, then you blame the President. The people you ought to blame are the ministers not the President. If a minister comes out to say the money you gave me is not enough; what you gave me I have been able to do this and this, so, I need more and it is not given then you blame the President.
But then, the buck stops on the President's table. If a minister does not do well with the money he is given, he is supposed to be punished. If the President does not punish this kind of person, what then?
You questions are very hard and that is the last one. If a minister is indolent, if a minister is negligent, the President will be blamed. Oh, yes. Let me tell you, there are things you cannot hide. One of then is indolence. You cannot hide laziness. At the same time you cannot hide hard work, intelligent work, sincerity of purpose. These are things you cannot hide. Like you cannot hide poverty, you cannot affluence. |

Im sorry but this an easy one, strength over flash. Drog is way more ambitious and deliver results. Its the difference btw bringing a sharp knife and a cannon to a fight. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Drogba Vs Torres. Who's The Best? by Gekko(m): 4:30pm On Oct 05, 2009 |
Cristalz: LOL Nuff said.
@Topic Someone here said the only advantage Drogba has got over Torres is his strength. . .I agree.
Fernando has got in-built quality skillz and absolute class. All you've gotta do is watch him when hez rolling. Dribbling, football intelligence, agility, scoring. . .hez pure genius. His problem is his fragility. Also, once he is tightly marked, hez quiet.
Drogba is not as skilled as 'Nando, but he can muscle his way through any defense line and get the ball in. Defenders are scared of Drog 'cos when they tackle him, they're the ones more likely to come out with something broken. Very hard to mark Drog.
Ask yourselves, when you admire Drogba's goals what's the first thing that stands out? It's usually the way he muscled his way past defenders and applied his head or leg to the ball at the right time. When you admire Torres' goals, you admire the sheer beauty of his moves, dribbles, and the way he wickedly curved or slammed or lifted the ball in.
Thing here is, Drogba makes up for what he lacks skill-wise with his strength and that chest control move of his. Of course he is skilled, but Torres is the more rounded footballer. Drogba is a painter. . .Torres is an artist. Pick whichever works best for ya. My opinion. So who is better? |

JeSoul: Kai see as they dissed Obama, Michelle and Oprah all at the same time but seriously I thought their pitches were too emotional, the rest of the world does not care about what your father would've liked to see or that America needs to repair her image etc - I thought that was weak. They could've done so much better than that
But nevertheless, I'm rooting for Rio 2016! Seriously, the emotional play was pretty pathetic and desperate. I'm glad Rio got it, and besides what was Oprah doing there anyway, this woman is ignorant and out of touch of what goes on in the world. |

debosky: Losing what hunger? He's already second on the list of assists this season, only behind Giggs who has played more games. He's scored 3 goals in 5 premiership games and he's losing hunger?
It's a testament to Cesc's quality that with all that he's done more is being expected. Yes he is still top quality but he doesn't quite match the standard we expect of him. At times its frustrating watching him play with a half effort especially from a captain of whose job is to motivate his teammates. |

question for you seasoned arsenal fans,
Who would you rather pilot Arsenal's midfield right now BTW Fab and former arsenal Lass Diara?
As much as I dig Fab it just seems as if he's losing the hunger. |
