yemmight: At least the man is lenient this time not operation Do-or-Die.
Lenient? "Operation totality" is a declaration of complete destruction to Nigeria, its the point of no return. Obj is raising the stakes this time around so that he can protect his interests at all cost. GEJ is a tool!
This is just some downright crass thinking from the governor. It reeks of desperation and lack of forethought. is he is encouraging private citizens to risk their lives in the attempt of apprehending hardened criminals?
if anything he should offer reward towards credible information that leads to the apprehension of these criminals while keeping citizens identities anonymous.
koruji: @Ileke-Idi IBB should henceforth be known as the "Jesus of Minna" - save Nigeria indeed. What was his purpose from 1985-1993? I assume "saving" Nigeria - if that was IBB's definition of saving Nigeria, we need to take to our heels at the sight of him.
If he is serious about paying back anything, let him show us what he has done for the average Nigerian since 1993. The first realization of a true leader is that the person at the top does very little to actually move a nation forward - he is a mere coordinator, an overseer, but one who can easily get in the way of progress and do more harm than good by trapping collective resources to his own advantage.
IBB never changes. He sent people ahead to proclaim his coming to Ibadan, now he changes the purpose of the event after the fact. No respect for the Olubadan and all those who waited to receive him. The same deceitful, lying, but unfortunately believable personality!
IBB just needs to stay away from any government position - that's the best thing he can do for Nigeria at this point.
this is a dirty slap to the face of Nigerians, but what can one do? lyk some folks said, we can huff n puff till we die and it aint gonna change ish. GET OUT & VOTE en masse 2011
wow! insightful piece and an eyeopener. Kudos to Donald Duke for sharing with us how his colleagues manipulated elections in the past. Im pretty sure this is going to fly over our heads and the practice will continue in the upcoming elections.
SEFAGO: I did. I didnt really like it though- very stereotypical lol
Me either. although you cant deny its good entertainment, especially with a non naija date. After a bit it gets repetitive and the storyline flattens out. The average person would enjoy the show because compared to other broadway shows its vibrant, dynamic, and electrifying but if you are huge Fela fan u will most likely be let down. The writing is woeful and fails to capture Fela's genius.
