Ibadan is very okay by Nigerian standard , I'm not joking.
When I visited from Warri, I wasn't impressed at all. So many old buildings and dilapidated structures, old cars everywhere and I despised the Amala I was served. Except things have changed since 2015 I visited.

Bhuhahahahaha! Owerri more developed than Ikeja, Port Harcourt etc. What a joke.

What infrastructures are in Owerri? Does it have transportation system like airport, BRT, train etc?

How many five star hotels, restaurants, secondary schools exit in Owerri?

How many Industries, factories, multinationals etc are in Owerri?

How many world class health care centers, hospitals etc are in Owerri?

How many highbrow areas, estates etc are in Owerri? grin

How many malls, supermarkets, grocery stores etc are in Owerri?

How many recreational centers, stadiums, golf courses, polo clubs, cinemas etc are in Owerri? grin

Ikeja comprises of Allen, Opebi, Omole, Ojodu, Maryland, GRA, Anthony, Onigbongbo, Alausa, Magodo, Ogba, Agidingbi, Oregun etc.

What about Owerri? grin

The most developed state capital in terms of infrastructures are listed in this order.

1. Ikeja
2. Port Harcourt
3. Ibadan
4. Kano
5. Kaduna
6. Enugu
7. Abeokuta
8. Jos
9. Uyo
10. Ilorin
11. Owerri
Kano, Kaduna, Uyo, Jos, ranks ahead of Ibadan.

North Central.
Lafia is terrible for a capital city.
Minna is not that good too.
Forget lokoja the aura and atmosphere alone oozes of nonsense.

North west
Gusau the name suggest its gutter.
Sokoto that one is just there.

North East
Except for maiduguri and gombe the rest are rubbish.

South South
Yenagoa is over rated.
Benin too many old buildings.

South East.
Umuahia is rubbish.
Abakaliki is picking up compared to the last time I was there.
Awka could still do better.
Owerri is not that bad.

I have been to all the states in Nigeria so I am talking from experience.
What of Markudi?

The power plant capacity at the Dangote refinery alone is almost twice the national electricity generation capacity of Rwanda as a country.

This got me thinking: Wow! Rwanda must be a really tiny country, to still have more stable electricity even with such low generation capacity.
Politics › Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by GeneralDae:
NNPCL would begin supply of 300,000Bpd crude to Dangote refinery from next week. Supply would be purchased by Dangote in naira.

If this occur as planned, it may also mean a further reduction of crude oil exports.
However, the question of subsidy becomes moot if only naira is at play here.

Yes the data is made base on monetary poverty rate and for the Central Bank of Ghana to prove them almost right by a slight margin of error using savings data and also prove AfDB right for giving Kenya 4% like their central bank got, I think there's something there.
Kenyan Central Bank says 4% of the population have up to 800 dollars and above in their Bank accounts. So logically, I believe people capable of spending 10 dollars should be higher in percentage.

Where’s the source for this?

I can’t believe Cameroon having a higher middle class than Kenya, and ghana having a higher middle class than Nigeria.

That’s just pure wishful thinking.
There are conflicting reports everywhere. It's why Africans generally must work on having
more accurate data.

For instance, Kenyan Central Bank just released data 2 days ago of Kenyans who hold 100,000 shillings (around 800 dollars) in their bank accounts and they increased in 2022 to 1.9 million people (4% of population).

If the Central Bank of Kenya is correct, then it would be impossible to have just 1.8 million people capable of spending 10 dollars daily.
I think that report just made their own wild guess and estimates based on so called monetary poverty rate.

First Aid.Zambia stalled.Only Chad n Ghana have moved forward. Debt restructuring is complex process as each class of creditors has to sign on.China has stalled zambia.
I agree the program has stalled but I am making an argument that the report seem to suggest that the first 188 million dollars disbursement was made and they haven't moved past that since then.

Upon completion of the Executive Board review, Zambia would have access to SDR 140 million (about US$188 million), bringing the total IMF financial support disbursed under the arrangement to SDR 280 million (about US$376 million).

Maybe you need the education more. This report suggests they are waiting for the second disbursement of the loan.

slowpoke zambia have no imf deal. They just have great president.Imf cannot move unless China move.China want flesh from zambia .What is keeping zambia alive is their brilliant reformist leader
What da hell are you talking about? IMF deal was concluded in Zambia, July 2022.

IMF staff and the Zambian authorities have reached a staff-level agreement on economic policies to conclude the first review of the 38-month ECF-supported program. All structural benchmarks and quantitative performance criteria for the first review have been met.
Zambia will have access to about US$188 million in financing once the review is approved by IMF Management and formally completed by the IMF Executive Board. To remove any hurdles to the timely completion of the review, Zambia needs official creditors to move forward and reach agreement on a debt treatment in line with the financing assurances they provided in July 2022.

Anyway 20 percent out of the whole total deal is a huge disbursement comparing to the way imf initially disbursed their approved cash to any country requesting for it.

How has imf deal help zambia? Do you think the Chinese huge loan has impact on their economy.
IMF deal helped Zambia greatly. Especially with the currency and inflation within their first 3 months of receiving the funds.

Ghana is entering into a new economic progress. I wish it can be sustain this time around for a longer-term .
Of course. IMF pays 600 million dollars this month which should bring some stability. And then by November again, they disburse another 600 million dollars. So this is very positive for Ghana.

This fast IMF debt restructuring program for Ghana shows why taking too much loans from the Chinese could be a disadvantage. Chinese loans were negligible, so the Chinese could simply ignore but they dragged their feet in the case of Zambia which delayed the process.

This is not something to brag about 😐
I know, my intent was not to brag (far from it of course). Also, not all my posts are for bragging. Some are made to highlight other points.

The contradiction here is how can such a thing happen in poverty capital of the world? So either this report is false or the other report is false.

This is why I believe most African countries should find ways to collect efficient data.

This lack of reliable data is one of our biggest problems in most of Africa.

LP got only 25% in Abuja.
No highest number of votes.
No 25% in 24 states.
PDP didn't even fulfill anyone.
Declaring any of these two winner is against the constitution.
25% in Abuja is not even a seperate or special requirement. It says 25% in 24 states and Abuja.
Having it in Abuja specifically is not a requirement.
The law didn't say 25% in 24 states and 25% in Abuja.

When u hear these guys talk, u begin to wonder if they satisfied the requirements to be named winner or qualify for a rerun.
Out of 3 criteria, LP fulfilled only one, PDP fulfilled only one.
But LP believe the constitution should be followed to the latter, we are following the constitution that's why u are not named the winner.
Which one did LP and PDP fulfill?
