KanwuliaExtra:Okay then let us hear from them this week. By next week I would be the first to raise this topic. Make sure you are here. |
KanwuliaExtra:Even when you guys spread the fake news that Deloitee denounced him outright, he still went to Chattam House before the world and openly claimed again that he worked for Deloitee. You asked for classmates and names. There are lots of them in this interview even down to people he worked with in Deloitee and National oil. Nigerian and American names with time stamps of the events all included. |
I was on the Dean’s list; I was in line for the award for the overall best counting student as well as that of the university scholar’s award. With that, the big firms would continue to woo you. Despite the five job offers, I was equally offered employment by IBM and others. Professor Jesse called me and advised that I should not be arrogant. He asked that I remove my name from the career placement centre because, according to him, the more they saw my grades, the more I would be sought after. He said that might hinder other accounting graduates from being recruited and that the faculty wanted as many accounting graduates as possible to be recruited by the big companies. So I went and removed it. Usually, there was a benchmark for recruitments by the big professional accounting firms and they didn’t go beneath that. I got an offer of $20,000, with travelling allowances and all that. It was big money for me at the time. But when Arthur Young saw the money I was offered, they offered an additional $3,000. My adviser told me to consider an offer that would make me function effectively in my country, particularly given that the country is blessed with crude oil. I wondered what I would be coming back to do. The career placement officer called me again and asked me what I wanted to do. I said they just spoke to me from my department. Unlike what happens here, universities in America prepare the students for the future; how to dress, how to face job interviews. The third day after that, Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, now Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group, gave me another offer. They said they were not just going to hire me, but develop me. They asked me to take the salary I was being offered or forget about the job. I went back to Professor Jesse and said: ‘Look at what these people are offering, I would rather go to Arthur Andersen because they were offering to pay more’. But he said that I should not. He said he had always advised me that my career and professional development were more important. He said Delloite had clients like General Motors, Procter and Gamble, National Oil and worked with Aramco Exxon, etc. He said I should consider that my country has crude oil and I might want to return someday. He said I should consider a firm with clients in anufacturing and oil sectors than Arthur Andersen, which only dealt with financial institutions and banks. I took to his advice. I resumed work at Deloitte training school in June 1979. By April 1979, when I was graduating, I had gotten my future charted. And that was the greatest thing I achieved in America. Tunde Badejo was still looking for a job. As a honours student, I was there at the high table with the Dean, President of the college and so on, while the rest of the graduands were on the lower platform. So, when they called my friend, Tunde Badejo’s name, he refused to get up because they mispronounced his name and called him ‘Tunde Badeho’. He refused to get up. I was laughing at him from the high table and was saying: ‘You see, I told you we would graduate at the same time.’ I later stood from where I was seated and whispered to the event handler that his name is Badejo and not Badeho. It was not until they called the name correctly that he stood up. |
KanwuliaExtra:This is an excerpt from an interview Tinubu granted in 2021 on his 69th Birthday. I can share the full script with you if you are humble. Were you tempted to stay back in the US after your studies? To be honest with you, yes. I was lucky when I got to Chicago State University. I entered the university with honours from the Richard Daley College, because I got credit in majority of the Accounting courses. After the first term, I was one of the candidates on the Dean’s list and my professor, Joe Jesse, commended me for my hard work, class participation and brilliance. He said that I would be lucky if I could keep my activities and brilliant results up till the end of the term. He didn’t say more or in what form the luck would manifest. At the end of the term, and still on the Dean’s list, Professor Jesse came around to inform me that he would employ me to manage the Accounting laboratory for the institution. He gave the letter of employment to the dean of the faculty. The following week, I was called upon to take up employment as a tutor in the institution because I was very good at Mathematics and Accounting. I met Tunde Badejo in the school; he was a year ahead of me. But I told him (we took a bet) that we would graduate the same year and he didn’t believe. Later, when I was given a scholarship to become a tutor, I took the letter to Tunde Badejo and said: ‘See, the school is paying my tuition.’ He was amazed. That was how I became a tutor, with my tuition being paid. Tunde Badejo majored in Mathematics, and having been challenged, his performance got better the following semester and he also became a Maths tutor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. I was challenged and severely under pressure to keep up the grade as each semester rolled by, because if my grades should drop I would lose the scholarship. It was quite challenging and in the end, I graduated top of my class and I was recruited as an Accounting major. There were big accounting firms then. Touche was number nine. I was recruited. And I still got other job offers. Then there were eight big accounting firms in the United States, including Arthur Andersen , Arthur Young, Ernst and Whinney, Peat Marwick and Mitchell, Deloitte and others. Out of the big eight, five of them offered me jobs and that was school recruitment–right on the campus. |
KanwuliaExtra:Okay let me address it. He lost his certificate in the 1990's as he escaped to become a refugee in Benin Republic during military era. Since then he has been using affidavit for loss of certificate. What you call fake result from pininterest is what someone who lost his certificate in Chicago can download temporarily while applying for another, especially results prior to 1991. The Logo is not real but the details are real. The question is: Does it suffice for INEC as long as there are transcripts plus the affidavit? Also, only the University can say that certificate cannot be used.
|
KanwuliaExtra:Then why is the University saying otherwise? If you send a mail now to the University, they would tell you he attended and graduated with Honours. Are you saying he bribed the University too? This is an alumni award given to him in 2001 by the University.
|
KanwuliaExtra:How did he then perform the job of a Treasurer? Do you know as Treasurer then in Lagos he was responsible for the financial planning of a new Building for Mobil in Lagos? How did he know the job so well if he was just a dullard who faked everything up to that extent? Also, to promote anyone to become a Treasurer, Mobil America would have been involved. |
KanwuliaExtra:😄 Hope you know promotion to become Treasurer in Mobil Nigeria at that time would have come from the U.S?? Someone without a brain who doesn't know the field but bribed his way all through cannot bribe his way to be a Treasurer. How would he do the job? |
KanwuliaExtra:You are funny. You believe Tinubu faked and bribed everything and also bribed his way to become Treasurer at Mobil. You guys are definitely clowns. |
tonytony208:1999 application which was submitted by somebody else but signed by him had all sorts of false claims that do not tally with his other applications. Tinubu himself admitted that. In 1992, 2003, and 2023 where he applied himself, his applications have been consistent. |
MrPristine:Do you really need WAEC to enter all colleges in U.S.A especially colleges used for University entry? I am telling you Tinubu has never claimed himself that he has a WAEC result. In 1992 when he contested for Senate he submitted only Richard Dalley College and then Chicago state university certificate. |
tonytony208:Did he submit a certificate in 1999? A school was mentioned but was a certificate presented? When he applied as a Senator in June 1992, he presented only Richard Dalley Certificate and Chicago state university certificate. No secondary school certificate was submitted even in 1992 when he was less popular before all the brouhaha. Tinubu has made it clear long time ago that he started secondary school but didn't finish before he was sent to U.S.A. |
dmz1:I am a tribalist for supporting Tinubu even though I'm not Yoruba. However, when Igbos support Obi with Obi having 90% of the votes in Igboland, they are not tribalists. You see how you guys reason? |
dmz1:You are not engaging me. You are just going round and round. You don't care about a clean conscience, you just don't want Tinubu but sorry, Tinubu is there and he would succeed. |
dmz1:What academic record should he release to the public again? He submitted both his Richard Dalley College school entry qualification plus his Chicago state university certificate to INEC. Atiku said they are fake and it's impersonation. He went there again to bring the Transcripts. Politics aside, don't you see it's Atiku fooling himself here? |
dmz1:So why is Atiku changing the goal post? This is a new case he can't bring to the appeal court again hence it's useless. If he had started by saying Tinubu's school entry results are fake, then Tinubu would have been obliged by the court to bring his school entry results not his University transcripts. But now releasing his personal documents to a political rival when it's not the actual case in court is meaningless and foolish. |
dmz1:Atiku's case at the appeal court was that the University result is fake because BAT impersonated a female. Tinubu went to his university to get all his transcripts to show that he attended the school and to prove it beyond doubt he met a chicago lawyer to certify the documents as current evidence at June 2023 (which is strong evidence the court would be looking at). Atiku knowing that case is most likely buried, went to Chicago, this time asking for Tinubu's entrance results (not Tinubu's certificate again) but results he used to gain admission (WAEC, Jamb, etc). This was not Atiku's initial petition and it comes across as ridiculous. |
Didijiji:It's the problem of wheat. How much of it do you produce in Nigeria? Ukraine supplies the World, so bread has been going up in most places since the war. |
a4cube:Because he is a public figure that's why he went to his school in June to get all his documents and even had a lawyer in Chicago certify them and then he presented them to the appeal court. So that means it's with the court. If Atiku was serious, he should have included in his petition from the onset that Tinubu forged WAEC or whatever document he used to gain admission. |
TookDownYourMum:Wagner is overrated. The reason they can't succeed in Southern Africa is that Islamic extremism is not entrenched there historically. So they would always run out of new recruits fast. |
TookDownYourMum:Mali is in a tight situation now. Add that to the fact that they asked UN peacekeeping force to leave their country for not being able to defeat the insurgents after all these years. Burkinafaso have been able to maintain some stability around the capital and close to the borders with Ghana but the fight is still just too overwhelming for the young Traore who is doing his best. |
Pkid1:This is not a joke and it's a fact. Bokoharam in early 2015 after swearing allegiance to ISIS and in conjuction with ISWAP (branch of ISIS in West Africa) were more equipped than Ghana then. Also due to the fact that they benefited as well from the loose trade of weapons in the Sahel. |
vankelvin:They don't strike not because they fear but for two reasons: 1) They use Ghana as a base for their fertiliser supply to make IED's. Northern Ghana is just a strategic location for them and it's not at the hottest border of Bfaso. The terrorists there are not as much. At least those areas together with the Burkinabe capital are amongst the safest areas of Bfaso. 2) Only very few of those Northern Ghanaians have been recruited. Ghanaians generally (whether North or South) are very peaceful people. |
dreamxhaser:That's a fact bro. Just take a look at this map to see the lands two terrorists groups are covering in Mali and Bfaso. The terrorists groups are JNIM and EIGS marked red and black in the map.
|
dreamxhaser:Lol, Chad had their president killed by rebels. Mali as a country almost had Bamako overran by terrorists in just few years of their insecurity until they called France and ECOWAS to save them in 2012. The people who hype Bokoharam have an agenda. It's the only argument they think they can put forward. |
I know there would be no war but let me drop this here from one of my favourite security news Twitter handle: "So Mali and Burkina-Faso have dispatched combat aircrafts to Niamey to respond to any ECOWAS attack on Niger. Three Super Tucano attack aircrafts, two Bayraktar TB2 attack drones and one Mi-35M attack helicopter have been deployed to meet the ECOWAS challenge. Niger on its part have deployed two Turkish built Hukus-C light attack aircraft and can call on two SU-25 attack planes. If diplomacy fails and ECOWAS decides to act, be rest assured that five to six times that number of aircrafts will be committed to an ECOWAS operation. It is not clear if all participating ECOWAS countries will send aircrafts to take part, but the Nigerian air force alone will be an overkill. The NAF has at it's disposal one Super Tucano attack Squadron. Unlike the EMB 312 Super Tucanos fielded by Mali and Burkina-Faso, Nigeria's Super Tucanos was custom built in the U.S by the Sierra Nevada Corporation. They are equipped with electro-optical, infrared and laser targeting systems, advanced communications and datalinks, precision guided munitions like the GBU paveway laser guided bombs, hydra 70 rockets with Advanced Precision Kill Weapon (APKW) tail kits, a device that converts dumb unguided bombs into precision guided munitions. A pair of F-7Ni and JF-17 supersonic multi-role fighters can easily achieve air superiority while Alpha jets and Super Tucanos carry out ground attack and close air support. The NAF can easily deploy up to 10 combat helicopters, including the Mi-35M, AW109E, and Mi-17 helicopters". "Now these are assets the NAF alone can muster, not counting Senegal, Ivory Coast and other participating countries." |
dreamxhaser:All these West African countries together would even struggle against Chad not to talk of Nigeria. I know there would be no war though. |
Metrofox:Read my post again. It is Labour party that drowned PDP in Rivers not just in Rivers but everywhere across the South. Why drown PDP in the South when you know you are not competitive in the North? From this post of yours, you say APC could not have won Rivers , and you acknowledge that it's because they don't have political structure in Rivers. Yet Labour won Lagos, a state APC have always dominated in terms of Political structure. APC also lost Yobe for the first time and even struggled in Borno. So how did APC rig the election anymore than PDP and Labour? |
Metrofox:In Lagos, Obi won. That's evidence Tinubu didn't rig anymore than Obi rigged in Lagos. In Abuja, you took most of the traditional PDP votes. The APC took their 19% and you guys succeeded in completely drowning PDP there. In Benue, Tinubu himself is not popular but father Alia the present Governor worked for Tinubu there convincing a good number of his followers who dominate Benue 80%. Even if there wasn't interferrence in Rivers, APC would have come a decent second there because again Labour drowned PDP there taking away traditional PDP votes coupled with the new alliance of Wike with APC and the 200,000 people he employed across the state to work for APC. In summary, once you drown PDP in the South in a 3 horse race, it only favours APC given the fact that you are not strong in the north and APC only have PDP as the real competition in the entire north. It's all about calculations not emotions. |
Metrofox:Because you've been living in your own bubble. How popular was Obi in Kano with highest number of voters, Sokoto, Borno, Jigawa, Kogi, Kwara, Zamfara, etc? |
Metrofox:This emotional blackmail from you guys is stale. Who stole votes? You all stole votes and Obi lost the election still. |
TookDownYourMum:But thesame Mali is backing Niger today. 2025 from 2021, that's 4 complete years of civilian rule. You see how they played with ECOWAS? If ECOWAS doesn't get tough against Niger, by 2025, same Mali would call ECOWAS bluff again and do nothing. Can't you see this? It was initially supposed to be a one year transition period but the Malian Junta have kept postponing it. Now they say 2025. When by that 2025, Mali postpones it again to 2030, we allow Mali be and situation has not changed with Bfaso, Niger, Guinea, another dissatisfied soilder in another Francophone West African country (who is about to get sacked) would again carry out a coup, immediately ignite anti french sentiments as the reason (in order to gain sympathy) and then you would come here again to ask ECOWAS to just dialogue and negotiate or use sanctions only and it goes round and round. |
