Fejoku: Ok. It means Nigeria is already occupying one sovereign country yet she claims no one should interfere in her own internal affairs. We all can see where this is going. Guinea Bissau will soon be free from the Nigerian occupation force. Guinea Bissau president invited ECOWAS to help protect him against coup plotters and train their military force. You call that occupation? 😂 |

Fejoku: They didn't show face in ECOWAS meeting held yesterday in Abuja. Do you need any further response to know which side they lean on? How would they show face when they are being protected by ECOWAS from their own military? Wouldn't it be common sense to know that they are not fighting because they can't fight at this time and are being baby-seated by ECOWAS? So which chief of defence staff do you want them to send to the meeting? |

onumadu: You need to go and read their history, particularly how they defeated Portugal to gain independence. They were the FIRST sub-Saharan African country to gain independence through armed struggle. They have a history that makes them stare down even the strongest of foe whenever necessary. But they would be working in alliance with Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso this time. They have a PROUD past. Guinea Bissau almost had a coup in 2022, the president ran to Buhari who sent 200 soilders there still guiding their president until this day. So how can they turn against Nigeria who have their soilders in their presidential palace? |

onumadu: You call those countries "ONLY"? What do you know about them? BTW don't forget to add Guinea Bissau. For a country with SERIOUS internal political problems, Nigeria should not be messing with these types of trouble. Nigeria should be busy fixing her internal political contradictions. I would give this advice again in Igbo proverb: " A one-legged man should not take the title of 'Mr Stability'" Another Igbo proverb says that: " Nobody should tell a man with scrotal elephantiasis not to jump over a wall. If he does so anyway, he should take whatever he sees!". Guinea Bissau that has about 200 Nigerian troops protecting their president? What are you saying? |

SpatialKing: Is not all Ecowas and AU states that would send troops Ghana 🇬🇭 has pulled out of the options of sending troops
Egypt, Algeria, Libya are behind Niger
So what is left
Common Boko Haram Nigeria is unable to crush...
The land mass of Niger is already a problem for Nigeria Troops...
Niger is not Liberia
Moreover most Northern states will support Niger because they are relatives they will help sabotage Nigerian troops efforts...
Again Biafra might use that as an opportunity to start another war against Nigeria...
Niger won't do head on confrontation with Nigeria
They will target 🎯 infrastructures in Nigeria like BUK Sokoto, ABU Zaria, NDA, Kanji Dam, using air missiles There's no evidence Egypt, Algeria, Libya, are behind Niger. Only Mali, Guinea, and Burkina. |

Acekidc4: What if Wagner Group from Russia fight on the side of Niger which they will do, how do we go about that?? Wagner group are not that settled yet to get to Niger, this is why the sooner we stop the Junta the better because they may later imitate Burkinafaso and then invite Wagner. Having Wagner so close is dangerous. They are a private army who do whatever they want. |

obyno82: was Russia backing Gambia? why haven't ECOWAS sorted out Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea. Even the art of war cautions against hasty movement to war without understanding the terrain of warfare you are up against. Niger, Mali and Chad are countries with battle hardened soldiers in fact the best in desert warfare in West Africa. Now Russia is in the mix with the tactical support of Wagner and the Russian army, who are also masters in asymmetric warfare. This is no brainer. The West that are propping Tinubu are looking for someone who will take the fall when things go south and they would be blameless. They have learnt from the mistake of Libya in showing face that is why they are using a willing West Africa. That is where Tinubu comes in and his previous drug trial case plays into their hands. That explains why FBI cited unusual circumstances in releasing his case files, saying it would be in 2026. This is their insurance in case Tinubu bleeps up and doesn't stick to his side of the bargain as it relates to Niger situation and any other case that shows up in West Africa in the near future(Sierra Leone is already brewing). Tinubu in his quest for power played himself into the hands of the West. It will be tough for him now. Buhari was wiser in the issue of Burkina Faso and Mali. Even Guinea that he sent troops they dodged any form of confrontation. So much conspiracy bullshit in one post. |

lordprogress: They are not even capable, you only go on an endeavor you know you can win, if the the alliance of niger, Burkina, mali guinea is true then it mean the whole west africa is going to war and it wont be pretty and might take years, we are not ready for that. Nigeria, Chad (if they join), and Senegal alone can intimidate these countries you mentioned within 2 days if they are serious. But there would be no war in West Africa. So don't worry. |

babajide107: Give me the reason Algeria should support the west when Dey are actually a very close ally of Russia now and remember Russia is backing the coup so why will Dey fight Russia ?Does it make sense Russia is not backing the coup. Putin openly condemned the coup. Wagner supports the coup. Algeria has made it clear they are not in support of the coup because just like Nigeria, they were working together with Bazoum to prevent Jihadists at their borders. Not everything must be about Russia, France, or U.S. Individual African countries have their interests too. |

Buccalcavity2: Anybody that doubts Nigeria's capacity to check coup in Niger doesn't know Nigeria so well. The only reason I'm against aggression is that this is a proxy war. What is in it for Naija? Nothing! Russia and the west can kill one another over expansionist agenda,no bring my country into it. Except FGN has negotiated something for Naija in all these. Bazzoum was planning to adopt naira and ditch CFA France currency. He said that in an interview just few weeks ago. This is why it must be painful to Buhari and Buhari would advise Tinubu to do all he can to restore Bazoum. |

Morizo: Accepting ECOWAS presidency at a time when the sun region is in crisis and Nigeria has both security and economic crises was not strategic of BAT.
We have our own issues to deal with and don't have funds to prosecute a war. Mail and Burkina Faso coupists have already met with Putin and if they issue threat like this confidently then we should know where the back up will come from so don't be rash BAT else they will undo you from within and you will blame opposition instead of yourself So you think Putin and BAT are not friends? |

Horus: Nigerian soldiers that cannot even fight Boko Haram that has invaded Nigeria Where is the Bokoharam? How many villages have they invaded? Bandits/Bokoharam issue mostly have to do with slow response time of police and other agents as well as low intelligence gathering to fight unconventional warfare where the criminals have informants amongst the people due to low education/poverty and radicalism. The moment Bokoharam comes out openly as a unit with their headquarters positioned to fight the army, they would be flushed out in a matter of hours. This is not 2014. However, I do not support using force on Niger ever. |

FacilitatorLekk: Stop propagating war between Niger and Nigeria, war is good for no one. That's what I'm saying. If there is war, no one should mistake it as ECOWAS vs Niger because the ECOWAS would be mostly Nigeria. This is why Nigeria should never allow a war. I am simply saying there is no ECOWAS in this context. It's Nigeria in disguise. |

FacilitatorLekk: It's ECOWAS issue not Nigeria against Niger. Stop talking nonsense. What is the military strength of the ECOWAS countries? and Nigeria is the close neighbour to Niger so those ECOWAS countries would depend more on Nigeria and just contribute a few troops here and there. |

Ekemini11: Lol. This case is about membership, which is the responsibility of the party. Tinubu's case is about invalid nomination which is the responsibility of INEC. Nomination is also the responsibility of the party. As long as the person suing is not from the party contesting for those positions, any other person suing doesn't have the Locus standi to determine invalid nomination or double nomination of a running mate within the party moreso because it's not necessarily a constitutional matter. So LP doesn't have the Locus Standi against Shettima and that case would be thrown out too. Also APC'S case against Obi's membership of LP may likely be thrown out for thesame reason. |

stop looking at the rhetorics of coup plotters, look at the guys behind the scene who plotted and sponsor the various coups in Africa We Africans are always looking for who to blame. Everything that happens are either by the West or Russia. What if the coup was purely local? The opposition continue to show every now and then they are not at APC's level. PDP especially have gone weaker and weaker because the PDP is a classist party by nature, so they are as usual just full of big men used to money politics. Labour should have been better but full of eggheads. It's just disappointing. |
