They would rather claim you are from Tanzania trying to spoil Kenya. But you have to give it to Ruto when it comes to speaking and PR. Even some Nigerians on Twitter believe in him. |

kettykings: I saw this via the internet
penalty for knowingly and intentionally allowing one's bank accounts to be used to launder drug money can vary depending on the country and the specific circumstances of the case. However, in general, the penalties can be severe, including:
Imprisonment: In the United States, the maximum penalty for money laundering is 20 years in prison. Fines: The maximum fine for money laundering in the United States is $500,000, or twice the value of the laundered funds. Forfeiture: The government may seize any assets that were used to commit money laundering, or that were acquired with the proceeds of money laundering. Civil penalties: The government may also impose civil penalties on individuals and businesses that engage in money laundering. In addition to the criminal penalties, individuals who are convicted of money laundering may also face professional and social consequences. For example, they may be disbarred from practicing law or lose their jobs.
The penalties for money laundering are designed to deter people from engaging in this type of criminal activity. They also send a message that the government will not tolerate money laundering, and that those who are caught will be punished severely.
In the case of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the penalties that he could face for knowingly and intentionally allowing his bank accounts to be used to launder drug money would depend on the specific circumstances of the case. However, the penalties could be severe, including imprisonment, fines, and forfeiture. But FBI in 2003 says no criminal record of Tinubu in U.S. This means even the forfeiture wasn't a criminal charge. Without conviction of crime, Tinubu cannot be disqualified. |

Politics › Re: Peter Obi Never Claimed That He Won The Presidential Election - Reno Omokri by GeneralDae: 7:30am On Jul 24, 2023 |
franchasofficia: Tinubu was not tried because he had already exited US and had already won election in Nigeria as a Senator. Prosecuting him would have involved filing for his extradition which wasn't necessary because US have forfeiture as another form of conviction.
It was never a civil case. Drug trafficking related case can never be a civil case anywhere in the world.
Tinubu was found guilty of being part of a drug trafficking ring, even his income as Mobil staff and other sources he claimed never matched the huge sum of moneys deposited in his US bank accounts.
Your current CJN once ruled in a case that "forfeiture" means conviction for crime.
I can give you references on US drug proceeds forfeiture law so you can understand that Bola Tinubu's case was never a civil case but another form of conviction for drug crime by the US drug enforcement laws Most Civil forfeiture cases in the U.S have been related to drug trafficking. Infact that's the major excuse the police and U.S courts give in order to cease your property. |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Never Claimed That He Won The Presidential Election - Reno Omokri by GeneralDae: 7:18am On Jul 24, 2023 |
franchasofficia: Reno Omokri is just an empty fool who lacks real knowledge of issues.
You cannot prove you won an election without INEC's CTC of result sheets used to collate results.
Peter Obi applied to INEC according to law to obtain those CTC forms from INEC and also paid for them but INEC knowing that releasing those forms to Peter Obi will expose their rigging decided not to release them to Peter Obi and claimed that Peter Obi was asking for nonexistent forms, that Obi should apply to each of the contested state INEC REC to get the forms. If Obi decides to follow this route, it would take forever to get these forms to prove he won at the PEPT which has a timeline, so to avoid delays, his legal team decided to make a swift turn to focus on challenging INEC for not following their own election guidelines during the election and in announcing Tinubu as winner hence the election should be canceled completely, which is one of the major reasons election should be canceled according to electoral act; if INEC's none compliance with the electoral laws and guidelines affects the outcome of the election substantially.
Also Obi is also challenging Tinubu's legitimacy to contest the election being an ex convict who forfeited $450,000 to US government in a drug related case.
Obi is also challenging Tinubu's legitimacy to contest the election based on his running mate's double nomination, which violates the electoral act.
He is also challenging Tinubu's declaration as winner of the election based on the fact that Tinubu did not score the constitutionally required 25% of total votes cast in the FCT Abuja as clearly stated in the 1999 Nigeria's constitution.
This is why Obi didn't ask the court to declare him winner because he doesn't have the CTC forms to be issued by INEC to prove he won as required by the electoral law. Many APC ignoramuses think you can prove you won an election in court using your polling agent's result copy, sorry you can't.
Your party polling agent's polling unit result copy is mainly for your internal consumption to use for check and balances and this has been used to compare the results announced by INEC and it doesn't add up cos some of the state Obi won or got 25% INEC changed it.
Borno Rivers Sokoto Kaduna Ekiti Ondo Kogi Bayelsa Bauchi Benue Plateau Lagos Ogun
Cc: Afamed, Penguin2, Madridguy, mrvitalis This is long story. When you say you won, you must have been relying on the results you have with you that differ with those INEC announced on the day. Take those copies from your agents, collate them all and present to the court while you apply for the CTC. INEC would have no choice then. Why depend solely on IREV when you had agents who received true copies on the day? What was the purpose of having agents? |

Bluntguy: Drug money. Rigging of election, Age falsification, Double nomination, Many more. Double nomination has been thrown out by supreme court. Age falsification is not in any petition. Rigging of election, hmm okay let's see. Drug money would most likely be dismissed because in the final court paper, Tinubu was not under trial but his Heritage Bank Account. So there's nothing to suggest Tinubu is under any conviction for fraud or dishonesty as outlined in section 137 (d) (1). So that case is most likely going to be dismissed. |

NLNG also sold more gas to Europe last year due to Russia-Ukraine war. That 790 Billion wasn't deducted and would likely be left in dollars with the Central Bank to shore up reserves. |

Hope2023: You are just one of those Idiots that will stop at nothing just to defend rubbish. So to you, if a subsidy regime is corrupt, the best way to handle it is to remove the subsidy without having any concrete and workable palliative plan. Must u guys always defend rubbish, why are we so tribalistic like this, we will always want to defend a leader no matter how bad he is performing, all because he's from d same tribe with us (no exemption to any tribe). There are phases to economic reform, when u get it wrong and it boomerangs,u will have to deal with the effect for the rest of ur tenure. How do u defend the fact that dollar has risen to Its highest ever rate within 2 months of this administration, same with petrol pump price...and still no plans for the civil servants not to talk of the general masses.. A good president will put palliative plans in place before hurriedly removing subsidy. The issue with subsidy regime happened because of the subsidised petrol that is being smuggled to neighboring countries and the falsified figure for the locally consumed petrol..does that mean there are no better ways to put those in check. Now if u have decided to take the easiest decision by removing subsidy, palliative plans should be in place already before subsidy is being removed. The bitter truth now is this, as dollar rate keeps rising, petrol pump price will keep going up, since we are not refining locally yet. There is no problem with subsidy itself but can we keep paying it without running into deficits and even borrowing for them? |

Kukutente23: First of all, Soludo never chaired any NEC meeting. He chaired the committee on palliatives. Secondly, Soludo never announced 1.9trn. Simply quote where he announced that amount. NEC never agreed on sharing any amount. NEC meeting communique is available and no one mentioned anything about sharing. Again, I'll like you to prove your claim with a direct quote from Soludo
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.channelstv.com/2023/07/20/subsidy-removal-nec-decides-on-palliative-measures-for-nigerians/amp/ I have shown you where Government officials confirmed the 1.9 trillion in that Premium times article. Also, if you check Shettima's Tweet after the NEC meeting, he also spoke of how they agreed to save 790 Billion naira, and set up another 300 Billion for infrastructural funds. Until any Governor or opposition in Government debunks this, then you are just engaging in conspiracy theories. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Has Lost Control Of The Economy Very Early by GeneralDae: 7:46am On Jul 23, 2023 |
Kukutente23: You're making wild claims. How come NLNG dividends did not increase FAAc revenue into trillions last year? Where is your evidence it is NLNG dividends that boosted the revenue? I also thought its the devaluation of Naira that boosted the revenue till I saw the FAAC story. I've shown you a link of what FAAC declared which is 1.15trn. Why exactly are you still arguing?
And why will opposition govs deny what no govt official ever said or confirmed? I've thrown it the challenge. Mention any govt official who ever said June revenue was 1.95trn and 1trn is being saved. Mention just one. Or you expect govs to be denying newspaper reports? Use your brain oga. There's no 1.95trn anywhere. This is an attachment from Premium Times. Charles Soludo chaired that NEC meeting. If NEC agreed to share only 907 Billion out of 1.9 trillion according to this article while the rest are saved (some set up for infastructural fund), then it means the Governors agree there was a 1.9 trillion. If there wasn't, the PDP Governors and Soludo had already seen the news making rounds few days prior, they or their media aides would have debunked it as well after the NEC meeting. I have told you why NLNG royalties increased to trillions this year. It did because of the floated exchange rate and they made more in 2022 compared to 2021.
|
Politics › Re: Tinubu Has Lost Control Of The Economy Very Early by GeneralDae: 7:31am On Jul 23, 2023 |
Kukutente23: That's not what the news station that claimed 1.95trn said. The AGF is the official with powers to declare how much was realised and he never declared 1.95trn. So i ask again, where is the 1.95trn? Why didn't we get something close to that in June 2022 as well since you claim nlng pays dividend about this time every year? June 2022 faac was 804bn not even up to a trillion Depends on what NLNG makes every year. In 2022, due to the war in Russia, they made much more than in 2021. 2012 for instance, they made their highest gain ever. Also, the currency has been floated since middle of June. So when they pay in dollars for June, it's more naira. If APC is lying, nothing stops Soludo and PDP Governors from exposing them. Even Alex Otti can say he is not aware of any 1.95 trillion naira. There are some things you just can't easily lie with. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Has Lost Control Of The Economy Very Early by GeneralDae: 11:05pm On Jul 22, 2023 |
Kukutente23: Oga. FAAC declared 1.15trn. No newspaper declared 1.95trn except the cable and the Whistler. So Where's the 1trn? Do you have any link if FAAC declaring 1trn saved? News stations declare what was shared not what was realized. 1.95 trillion was realized but about 1 trillion naira was from NLNG. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Has Lost Control Of The Economy Very Early by GeneralDae: 10:01pm On Jul 22, 2023 |
Kukutente23: No 1trn was saved. That was APC media propaganda but you're quick to swallow it because you want to defend failure 1 trillion naira was saved because NLNG paid their annual royalties which they normally pay around this time of the year. Next month, the FAAC may not be as high. |

And I love where the country is going. The criminals will complain more. The lazy will complain. The religious will go to paradise of choice and hardworking people will thrive.
I can not hate the President, I can criticise. I am an Obidient Jagabandit. Truth is that if you know Tinubu, he is originally a socialist. He began leaning towards capitalism later on in Lagos and all these capitalist policies are not things he favours that much but probably sees as necessary like he did eventually in Lagos to some extent. Left to Tinubu, his major ideology is bottom up approach (almost like Buhari and APC in general). For him, it's massive recruitment for the farm and security to grow staple foods and directly employ the poor to grow Maize, Corn, Cassava, Rice, etc.. as well as massive school feeding program. Huge Government spending on infrastructures and spending your way out of poverty. Huge Government involvement basically. These capitalist policies (much like he adopted in Lagos) are just stuffs he sees as important for clean ups in the meantime. Hopefully he implements them properly. |

Shma2023: Condition your brain to think, because we've just plunged into a conversation that is way above your pay grade.
You brought population, I didn't. South Aftrica GDP is $399B, her population is 66M. There you have 6045 USD as GDP per capita. Ignore that and let's assume your GDP per cap is what you said, $6500. Do you realize that population still remain static and the outcome won't dispute the fact that your GDP per capita ain't nothing to India. By that I mean, with the strides India has taken in managing her population, SA can't hack. Your population is TOOOOOOOOO TINY! to be having a GDP per capita of $6k.
FYI, India GDP PPP is a whopping 13 Trillion. You are doing 952 Billion, that is 14times higher. Let me play the devil's advocate here 😄 GDP is total output. This total output depends a lot on population. Infact Dr congo is the only country I know with population above 70 million still doing less than 70 Billion dollars in GDP and that's because of unrest in many parts there aside the capital. So tiny population of SA cannot compete with India in GDP. To me, GDP per capita is a useless metric, so I won't dwell on that but that doesn't mean GDP itself is not heavily dependent on population/Land/Resources. Example: More people farming in more lands leads to higher agricultural production output and higher GDP mostly. |
