RedCapChief: APC will also blame GEJ for this
I remember the words of Rabiu Kwankwaso who described the post-election upturn in stock market and forex market as the benefits of the 'Buhari Effect'. Even Lai Mohammed praised the increased power generation as a blessing from 'Buhari's Body Language'
Unfortunately, even local investors have seen that body language is not a substitute for simple economic policy. The foreign investors have run away since. Six months after inauguration, the only economic news coming from Nigeria is . .'MTN gets fined' . .'Guinness gets fined' . . .'EFCC arrests Dasuki' e.t.c Baba is the everything and we must go at his pace
PDP were a bunch of rogues but this ineptitude and foolery from APC is too much. After desiring a post for 12years, he seems determined to collect the title of 'Captain Clueless' from a former somebody
Keep blaming Jona oo! Mr. Lai will soon release statement blaming Jona and Patience for this
So MTN and Guinness should have been congratulated for flaunting regulations in their respective sectors. |

In civilised countries currency hawking is a serious money laundering offence.
In Australia post offices, banks and registered vendors are the ones responsible for forex. Same as UK
It's only.in Nigeria that a Northerner will change £5000 pounds for an individual without any documentation |

jomoh: Bros seriously that is not a threat but a statement of FACT.
The truth that every enlightened Nigerian knows is that standard of living is poor in SE. This shouldn't be in a hard working and innovative tribe. Forget the crime issue. Everyone knows your people are truly hard working which shouldn't be for a hard working tribe. The only thing lacking is the diplomacy to know when to act, what to act on and how to act.
What is happening in the SE is very unfortunate but it is common knowledge that it is as a result of the tribes inability to politically recover from what happened some forty something years ago. It is no ones fault that the tribe keeps miscalculating politically.
This same political miscalculation happened during the last election. It is still happening now with the secession protests. Whether we like to accept or not, it will not succeed and It will definitely have its consequences(politically) in the future whether we like to accept or not.
The actions of the past leaders that started the secessionist movement is what is telling on their present offsprings. Even if the tribe gets their acts right do you think others will ever trust a people who doesn't believe in the country to lead.
The way forward is to restrategise politically and forge a formidable and trust worthy front. Whatever happened to APGA. Can the capitulation of APGA also be attributed to the wrong notion of "marginalisation"
You talked about the @bold. My broda it is your people that is holding guns to our head with your threats of secession while also calling for fiscal federalism and political inclusion but it was still your people that truncated a similar arrangement before the civil war.
The fact is that people forgive and forget but history does not. It's obvious alot of Yorubas and Hausa hate Igbos why force them to stay |

Nigeria will be great either Biafra joins in building it or not. It will only be for their own good if they join hands in building the country instead of going against it at this crucial time.
History won't judge them right if they refuse to and they and their grand children will forever regret it. You guys continue threatening our unborn kids and wish we negotiate with you? No one ever fully cooperates with a gun to his head. I was vehemently against Biafra but with the mirage of threats on Nairaland, I am having a deep rethink |

sawyer89: Hello bro, Good to know you attended Cranfield. I just got admission for Thermal Power (Gas Turbine Technology) for 2016/2017. I'll be glad if you could provide any relevant information about the school as regards: 1) Employment prospects after graduation 2) Accommodation cost and ease of securing one 3) Ease of transportation within the town and to neighboring cities like London et.al 4) Social and extracurricular activities 5) Any other information you deem important
Thank you. I await your reply. 1.Employment after school is high for home students as per international students it is increasingly difficult. 2. Accommodation is cheaper if you live in a shared house on campus. If you are interested in this option, please apply early on EVE portal. Cranfield University is in a remote location and to be honest living on campus is your best bet. 3. The nearest big towns are Bedford on one side and milton Keynes on the other. There busses going either direction from school every half hour. The journey as well in either direction takes approximately 30 mins. However I must warn that the services are less frequent on Saturdays (hourly) and even lesser on Sundays (every 1 Hour 30 mins) Also London is about 40 via train from both MK and Bedford train stations. 4. Social activity is poor due to the size and nature of the school. It is a postgraduate only University, therefore it is shouldn't be surprising that the population is significantly lower when compared to traditional universities. However, you can always go to Bedford or Milton Keynes to club etc. 5. The school is highly regarded in Europe but if you are self sponsored, and wish to study in Cranfield University studying an Msc in Manufacturing or Supply chain may do you better overall. This is because alot of jobs related to thermal power in the UK require security clearance, which you cannot meet as an international student. Cranfield University would have been perfect if the immigration laws in the UK were fairer, as it is one of the best universities in Europe. This is evidenced by the unparalleled industry collaboration in research as well as the unprecedented reputation it commands. Hope this helps. (forgive any typo or errors, I'm replying on my mobile) |

Please can you help me with info on schools that offer aeronautic engineering or manufacturing and production there in Australia cheap enough for an average Nigerian. My field is offshore engineering and so I am not an expert in this field However, ironically one of the best schools to study aeronautics or manufacturing is my alma mata. Cranfield University in the UK. They are one of the best if not the best is aerospace engineering and Manufacturing in the world. As per Australia check out University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of new south Wales, Monash University. |

How can oil wells turn to gas wells?
Nigeria is far richer in natural gas than crude.
Stop spamming this thread with your liar mohammed tier rubbish Technically he may be correct, gas is often reinjected into ageing wells to boost crude oil production. This is known as gas lift. When the well is depleted of crude oil , the gas is retrieved and processed. On the other hand, gas is the usually the first to come out of a hydrocarbon well as it is lighter than oil and water. |

Some people see their student visa as a ticket out of naija and many conclude working in the UK is the only way to recoup their investments, what about working elsewhere?
moving to Abuja doesnt translate to landing a government contract..same way studying in England doesnt guarantee anyone a working visa.. The last time I wrote about this topic was about two months ago or more. So where did you guys get the repeated everyother page from? |

How far have you gone? Please, unless you are on scholarship, do not come and study in the UK. Until an APC politician is probed I will take this anti-corruption war with a pinch of salt.
An example is the confirmation of Fashola even though he was accused of paying 78 million naira for a website.
I agree that there is no politician that is squeaky clean, I also agree that PDP politicians may even be more corrupt, however calling the misappropriation of 78 million naira nothing is the reason why our leaders loot because we will always defend them.
78 million is approximately £285000, now food for thought David Chaytor an MP (equivalent of a senator in Nigeria) was jailed in 2010 in Britain (a country far richer than Nigeria ) for misappropriation of £18000.
