GEJPosterity:
Frederick Lugard the colonial thug and renowned paedophile did not mention that this "African" he spoke of existed in the late 1800s to early 1900s - nearly 400 years after his first contact with invading Europeans.

He did not mention that this African despite having more than 5,000 years of recorded history and several great civilisations welcomed Europeans with open arms instead of war, and that it was in fact the greedy, violent and immoral European who turned him into the beast he became.

He did not mention that over 300 years of decapitations, chain beatings, chopping off of arms and feet, throwing of infants to alligators and crocodiles, forceful and permanent separation of families, kidnapping and shipping to sugar and cotton plantations in the Americas, unabated war, destruction, rape and torture, and decimation of entire populations and cultures, this "African" had lost his mind.

Frederick Lugard did not mention that the only reason he was here in the land of this "African" was to steal everything the African had and ship it to Europe via something called the Royal Niger Trading Company. He did not mention that he and several other colonial thugs such as Lewis Vernon Harcourt whom Port Harcourt was named after, were notorious paedophiles who regularly forced African women at gunpoint to give up their children to be sodomised by them. He did not mention that his mission in Africa was to create a land of people in the image of the "African" he spoke of - visionless, dependent, unintelligent, impulsive, physically strong cannon fodder for the complete exploitation of the Royal Niger Trading Company.

The only thing worse that seeing his violent anti-African warfare in text is seeing a descendant of his African victims quoting his words as if they are somehow valid.

Read your history man!

Almost all the roads in Ojo and Badagry are littered with burnt tyres lit by residents and vigilante to ward off the marauding gang.

Sooner than later the roads that took government decades to build will be destroyed by excessive heat From the burning tyres.

Government should rise up to this challenge and act fast before things become worst.

We hear police siren every night as they patrol the highway but the robberies take place in the streets and homes.
Education and gainful employment are the only solutions to the insecurity in Nigeria

Besides, you don't seem to possess the awe-inspiring and mind-shattering wherewithal you crave but I can say you are among the lucky ones. Sometimes an interviewee fails to impress in an interview gets in on trial and eventually turns out to a great employee. Abeg I'm outta here.
Yes sometimes an interviewee may perform badly an interview and turn out to become a stellar employee however, there is a greater chance of such an employee underperforming.

I share your views about giving people life changing opportunities but not to the potential detriment of the business

What you're talking about is an Africa-wide problem, which yourself and everybody else is a victim. It's due to western education which is not fit for the training of an African mindset.

Western education train us to pass exams, instead of teaching us to conceptualize a subject/topic. So, at the end we're just making photocopy of education from Britain and France, instead of learning on our own terms. There's no real education happening anywhere in Africa. Our government even made it worse in Nigeria due to underfunding of education.

Africa is on a looooooong thing.
Please do not insult British education, if Nigeria truly copied the western style of education , we would have been at par with them

If you're still considering studying abroad and UK is your destination, think twice especially when you are thinking about working after studies. The UK government don't want you here and they're not hiding that fact, they're so arrogant that they're not even pretending. The good news for you is that you still have the choice of other destinations. For those already in the UK here's another bad news. It's a fresh anti-international student policy essentially limiting you from getting a job and visa after graduation.

Hi how do you guys pass job assessment test for EY, delliote, shell and co especially numerical part. It seems hard. What's the average mark to pass cause am sure I got more than half of the questions correct
The tests are easy if you know the shortcuts.

Example... A man bought a bag for £20 pounds the bag lost 15% percent market value. How much is the bag?

Normally you were taught to calculate 15% of 20 and then substract from 20.

However you can simply calculate 85% of 20 and that will be your final answer!

If we had leaders whose heads are properly screwed on,we won't need to hear such sermon from CBN. Saudi Arabia, Russia and UAE have some of the highest foreign exchange reserve to cushion the effect of the current glut. They also depended on oil for a long time. It's a make or break time for Nigeria, mismanagement has been our bane. I hope henceforth we will hold our leaders accountable irrespective of tribal or clannish affiliations.

Wizkid is not getting married to this one, we all know. she's just another plaything, the relationship has no foundation sef so stop comparing it to people who have paid dowries on another's head.

Stop being crafty and read up the line items all together. We Av a lot geared towards infrastructural development.
For instance, in the year 2015, Jonah-daft budget spent just 50 billion naira for power, works and housing while over 85% went to recurrent. But in this year proposal, General Buhari is proposing over 450 billion naira for the same sector. Far more percentage is going to capital than last year. What does that tell u? That is serious change for ur info and to those that Av eyes. Even at that, I Av repeatedly stated that some line items in the proposed budget needs to be expunged.
When you switch things between your hands to make it look like magic, it is called slight of hand. This is how I will describe this budget!

Remind me again, how much does a solid state 1TB memory for a computer cost, let alone a hard drive?

How much did APC government budget?

6.08 trillion budget with only 1.3 trillion going to capital expenditure!

How is this different from the average PDP budget?

Highest budget in Nigeria, when oil prices are at their lowest since 2003?

Nigerians must be mad, there is not other reason we allow such rascals to be at the helm of affairs!

I remember I was one of the people here on Nairaland that critised the amount of money budgeted for Aso rock with respect to feeding under GEJ.

What did Buhari do? He increased allocation to the villa!

What juju are u talking about? Show me a single country in the whole world with a perfect budget at the first submittal to their national assembly. Do this and I will be convinced u are talking sense.
This doesn't change the fact that General Buharis emergence is a far better option than Jonah-daft we booted out. This is no brainer.
A government that said our national treasury is empty submitted a budget with increased spending that is not geared towards infrastructural development!

So we need to shout for change to come?

When you mention me in a manner that suggest you are taunting me, I would hardly turn up and you can't do anything about it. Just so you know.

That said, there's been grey areas in the budget from day one (no budget is ever perfect) which I criticised, especially the allocation for cars. I was glad to see that it was changed to reflect the mood of the nation. This as well, if true, is a no no for me.

You guys should understand, the document is a PROPOSAL as we speak and can be amended over and over again until we arrive at a consensus document- that is the reason we have a legislature.

You people are too darn emotional and could hardly analyse issues dispassionately. Tarry for now but bare your fangs when it is eventually passed without those areas you find unacceptable amended.

How long would you keep licking the wounds from your defeat??
The fact that Buhari even presented this rubbish after criticising the past government is a case of hypocrisy!

So we need to shout before APC will realise they were voted to bring about positive change!

Am not pro APC that said did you bother to ask why those restrictions were made? That's for another day. Oil prices has fallen, our crude isn't attractive to investors any longer, how do we fund government? We have to pay taxes and hold them accountable to deliver with it,if you have travelled outside the shores most nations generate revenue from taxes and when we go over there we gladly pay. Senators buying billion naira cars is corruption when Pmb acts that will say he's running a one man government and when you fight corruption it always fights back. Am not pro Apc, am pro PMB. We Nigerians criticize everything,we want our economy to grow, good services but never ask how are we to contribute towards nation building beyond typing on NL. We want a good life for free?we pay the lowest TAX in west Africa, everything we want for free or subsidised and expect to be relevant who then will build the nation for you. In developed nations revenues are raised basically through taxation but Nigerians think they are smarter we and up deceiving ourselves. This is our own way of contributing to nation building but for cheap popularity those APC haters will criticize anything. I ask them how have you contributed to nation building?
Do not put the cart before the horse!

Why will Nigerians be made to pay when senators want 5 billion naira to buy new cars?

Our own president, put a restriction on foreign transactions to deter it but yet is will to spend billions on BMW when we have locally manufactured innoson cars in Nigeria.

@ OP, your post reek of ignorance and deceit.

You claimed that stamp duty is illegal in banking transactions. Have you read stamp duties act at all? Study the picture of the cheques below in case you don't operate current account and tell us what does 'stamp duty paid' written in circle round the coat of arm on the cheques mean.
What just happened since around early 90s was that banks stopped collecting/remitting stamp duty in contravention of the laws with impunity.

You should get a copy of any version of Stamp duties Act as amended or re-enacted since 1900 to date to read and purge yourself of ignorance.

On your deceitful claim of having read the whole budget document without seeing revenue from stamp duties in it. Really? Currently in Nigeria, there are very few registrable legal commercial documents that do not require assessment and collection of stamp duties by the Commissioner of Stamp Duties - be it, share capital registration, bonds and debentures, deeds of assignment, power of attorney, deeds of mortgage, power of administration etc. so where are the revenue from these captured? Office of the Commissioner of Stamp Duties was created even before Nigeria was amalgamated. (See a 1908 official document picture below).

For your education, the next step to be implemented (it is in the stamp duties law already) is that all commercial receipts must bear at least N50 postage stamp. So if your buy a phone from Okey shop at ikeja along, he must affixed the stamp on the receipt and sign across it. So get ready to carry your ignorant fight to the United Nations.
Why is a none existent NIPOST charging stamp duties?

When the start charging stamp duties for reciepts will they be posting it to the customer's home?

What is the purpose of paying stamp duties to a dysfunctional government institution?

So, you see nothing wrong in paying for services not rendered?
