Election is around the corner and immigration takes the centre stage, its the same in every EU country not just the UK.

You think UAE or Singapore will fair better than the UK in terms of attitude towards immigration?
UAE is horrible especially to unskilled workers.

Singapore is actually better than UK in terms of immigration

No, I have always been looking towards UAE and singapore because my target industry has more presence there, but then listen to UKIP, Theresa May etc. They absolutely hate students and foreigners.

Because a good certificate from a British school can help to get a well paid job in many places.
Unlike many other countries education establishments.
What is a certificate from Nigeria worth?
Most.countries prefer degrees from their education system, it helps stimulate income from education tourism. It also helps them attract and keep talents.
Unfortunately the UK doesn't subscribe to.that line of thought anymore.

Not really, the education is wonderful but I should have gone to the US or Canada, they are more friendly to aliens.

You sound nice but you know too much of anything can become a bad thing and sometimes the attraction just dies it's not your fault and there is nothing you can do. Its not because you are not a jerk maybe she is not feeling you anymore. If you have to act like a jerk before a woman likes you then she does not really like you she likes the act you are putting on and how long do you plan to keep up the act? See why it's best to be yourself?

If she likes bad boys, you may have to leave her so she can find what she is looking for and you can find someone who appreciates what you have to offer.

I disagree on Civil engineering
Though most of the Supervisory role may be occupied by foreigners, almost all Assistant supervisor or foremen roles are handled by Nigerians most of them civil engineers.

For Security guards, I see an increase instead of decrease

Finally, you erroneously equated farmers with labourers, Farming profession has taken a new level in Nigeria.
While unskilled labourers will always be needed not only in farming but construction etc. So as Nigerians are moving from unskilled to semi skilled / skilled hands, there might be need to import labourers but farming as a professional business will be getting more and more appealing especially when GEJ wins next year election

pls help with this.......In a fund-raising lottery,42% of the money collected is given as cash prizes. there are eight cash prizes altogether . the first prize winner gets #3500, the second gets #3100, the third #2700, and so on in arithmetic progression.
a. How much money does the eight get?
b. How much price money is there all together?
c. How much money is raised for fund?
I
A. The eight person gets a + 7d

Where a is the first term and D is the arithmetic difference between successive terms.

D = 3100 - 3500 = - 400

Note that it is negative because the numbers are decreasing.

Hence Term 8 = 3500 - 2800 = 700

I'll solve C before B

C. Is sum of the a.P, Sn=N/2(a+l)

Where n is number of terms which is 8
A is the first term 3500 and l is last term is 700.

Sn= 8/2(3500+700) =
4(4200) = 16800.

B. If 42% of total money is
16800

0.42X =16800
X =16800/0.42 = 40000

I hope this helps

Naira just devalued massively. University adminstrators are complaining that schools are under funded and the best thing this inept, corrupt governor can do is to slash school fees by 20%.

How is this going to help the education system? Why not give out student loans instead? why not pump in money to our universities and fund research programs?

Clueless idiots!! It's 2015 and suddenly every politician is pretending like they understand how we, the commoners feel. Fvcking hypocrites!!!

And what do you think will or can happen, if and when Nigeria has a disagreement with Niger Republic?

You dont think it is foolish to put such a "strategic power" in the hand of unpredictable neighbours?

Let us learn from what happened to Russia, concerning the buying and building of its Mistral Warship from France.

That Ship was paid for, was built for Russia, Russian Seamen have trained on it and a delivery date has been set..... until Russia and France /E.U had a disagreement over Ukraine.

France simply REFUSED to DELIVER THE WARSHIP!

REASON: It is dangerous to sell such advance warship to Russia, which it might use against us in-case war breaks out over Ukraine! shocked shocked

When it comes to items that border on "National Security" (Power, Weapons, Water, e.t.c), even if it is not economical, you still dont hand it over to foreigners!

When asked why Britain is not building its Warship from France, who seems a specialist in such items, British PM replied: It is a matter of "National Security".
When furhter probed on why Britain is not selling Warships to Russia, like France, He replied: There are technology that we own and are proprietory to us! We wont share such technology.

I guess it is only in Nigeria that isuses like national Security starts and ends with chasing Political opponents! grin grin

I hail o!

Lastpage!
With the rate of vandalism in nigeria and our poor maintenance skills, I as.an engineer will rather build any pipe as short as reasonably possible. In this case Niger is nearer and also economically cheaper.

The best alternative is not to build such infrastructure in the North. It's too dangerous up there, the risks are far too great.

Lacomb:
The Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, who signed the contracts on behalf of the government, said the proposed power project was highly innovative as its promoter, Strancton, working with Katsina State, would use gas from Niger Republic to fire the plant.

What is wrong with this Govt? Gas is been flared in nigeria, then we go ahead to get same gas from Niger Republic,or are they giving us the gass for free?
Niger is closer to Katsina. Building a gas pipeline network from Niger delta to the north, makes no economic sense.

Exporting What We Don't Produce and Importing What we Flare Since 1960!

Following the bright idea of bringing in refined oil products from Niger we now move on to importing natural gas from Niger while we continue flaring gas in the Delta and leaving gas in the ground. Such progress under GEJnomics! Yet even this is touted as a policy success!

At least the North is weaning itself off moribund naija. It has its own army (cJTF), its regional economic and energy linkages and its emirs rule kingdoms that span beyond naija. I hope Tinubu and his boys are learning how it is done.

We need an LNG regassifier at Egbin and all along the SW coast to deliver the more than 20,000MW the SW needs for prosperity. We need to accelerate development of the LEKOIL field and Aje even as we need to accelerate exploration on and offshore the SW. Ondo fields need to be optimally exploited. Bitumen can't be allowed to waste any longer. Oodua moneybags should pour their billions into these areas.

The bluff of the ND should be called and we should be the ones to propose the amicable break up of what was the Blackman's best hope for redemption. We can restart from zero and ally with like minded people in Bendel, Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana etc if we think we need scale. All we have gotten for five decades from being part of this nation has been abuse and retardation. We should leave oil and governance to those who believe they own both.
All these projects when crude oil is now $78 perr barrel

Give Africans scholarships to come and research Ebola in your good schools. So we can end this Ebola once and for all.

Teach us how to fish, do not give us fish. I am so depressed about the condition of Africa in general.

Are we cursed or are we the cause?
