Mutendiwashe: I recently read a story of a woman who wanted to divorce her husband because he was being unfaithful and abusive. To my surprise many women were calling her weak for making such a decision. The woman in question is financially stable and the husband was actually living off her. I feel she was justified because who wants to continue a life of buying her husband underwear so that he can take it off for another woman? My question is why are other women willing to tolerate an unfaithful and abusive husband rather than divorce and start over? Now this statement I highly doubt. |

Mancala: Contrary to popular opinion, there are not that many Nigerians resident in the UK relative to other nationalities. Not sure why you think there was ever an incidence of mass migration. I don't think that has ever been the case. It only seems that way becasue there are concentrations of Nigerians in certain areas of the country. The Nigerian population in the UK is estimated at between 180k and 230k give or take. Poland, India and Pakistan have the largest populations of foreign born citizens in the U.K. with the Indian population estimated at about 1.4 million. My broda don't say what you don't know. Have you attended FoL in London? If you see crowd, your body go shock! Have you attended a match in the UK where Nigeria is playing? Have you seen the number of rccg churches in the UK? Have you wondered how everyone in Nigeria seems to have one or two friends /family members in the UK? That country is currently holding the largest chunk of all our citizens abroad. |

It is undeniable that in the last 5 years, there has been an upsurge in emigration of Nigerians to Canada - this can be likened to the mass emigration to the UK which took place in the early 2000s (and is still ongoing amongst doctors today). The UK (especially London) has now become an extension of Lagos - Nigerians turned areas like Peckham and Woolwich into Lagos-like slums and UK lost its glory in the eyes of some of us back here in Nigeria. As mass emigration grew at an alarming rate, the UK then decided to tighten their immigration policies, scraping the post-study Visa thus sending students back as soon as their studies were over - This in turn made Nigerians retort back by somewhat "boycotting" the UK - People began to speak on how the UK is useless, how people are doing menial jobs etc.. youtubers and nairalanders posting content to discourage people from relocating etc.. (classic case of rejecting before being rejected) Today, we see the same cycle being repeated with the mass emigration of Nigerians to Canada. It is fair to say that in the next 20 years, it is highly possible that mega cities like Toronto and Vancouver will be laden with Nigerian-infested slums similar to Peckham and Woolwich in London. Then the over-familiarity will launch the same vicious cycle of bad-mouthing Canada. After Nigerians ruin Canada and Canada begins to close its gates to us, Nigerians will once again flock to the next "trendy" country and the cycle continues.. |

Car Talk › All About The New Peugeot 3008 by genq(op): 6:47pm On Aug 02, 2019*. Modified: 7:07pm On Aug 02, 2019 |
What is the Peugeot 3008? A mid-sized family SUV, the 3008 sits between the 2008 and 5008 in Peugeot’s range. Boasting smooth, efficient engines and a cutting-edge cabin, it’s one of the most well-rounded packages in a highly competitive segment.
Launched in 2016, the current 3008 improved on its chubby first-generation predecessor in just about every department, with eye-catching SUV styling and a smart, tech-laden interior. That it can hold its own in such a crowded segment speaks volumes about the all-round qualities of the 3008.
At-a-glance 2019 Peugeot 3008 specs: Top-speed: 117-136mph 0-62mph: 8.0-11.5 seconds Fuel economy: 35.2-56.3mpg Emissions: 102-132g/km Boot space: 520-1670 litres
Which versions of the Peugeot 3008 are available? The Peugeot 3008 is offered in a single five-door SUV bodystyle and a choice of five trim levels: Active, Allure, GT Line, GT Line Premium and GT. There are two PureTech petrol engines: a 1.2-litre unit developing 131hp and a more powerful 181hp 1.6-litre. Two BlueHDi diesel engines are available: a 131hp 1.5-litre and a 177hp 2.0-litre.
A six-speed manual gearbox is standard on the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel, with an eight-speed automatic available as an option. The auto transmission is also standard on the 1.6-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel.
Peugeot will introduce a Hybrid4 version in 2019, pairing a 1.6-litre petrol engine and two electric motors to deliver up to 30 miles of electric range, improved performance and all-wheel drive.
What is the Peugeot 3008 GT? Don’t let the GT badge fool you, because there isn’t a performance-led version of the Peugeot 3008. In fact, only one engine is available on the GT model: the 177hp 2.0-litre diesel, which delivers a 0-62mph time of nine seconds and a top speed of 134mph. The 1.6-litre petrol is marginally quicker, shaving a second off the 0-62mph time and hitting a top speed of 136mph.
Peugeot 3008 styling and engineering Peugeot has ditched the dowdy and old-fashioned MPV styling of old, replacing it with a look that’s brimming with confidence and kerb appeal. The front end styling is dramatic, while the 3D-effect LED lights at the rear help the 3008 stand out.
Peugeot 3008 rear On the inside, the 3008 boasts one of the most feelgood cabins in the segment, with a strong sense of quality and the use of plush materials in the higher-spec models. The shrunken steering wheel and raised digital dials continue to divide opinion, mind.
How does the Peugeot 3008 drive? The smooth and sprightly 1.2-litre three-cylinder PureTech engine feels well suited to the 3008, offering a useful 131hp and 230Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre petrol is quicker, but the standard-fit automatic transmission saps the additional power, which blunts performance. The same is true of the 2.0-litre diesel, so if you must have a diesel engine, we’d recommend the 1.5-litre BlueHDi with the six-speed manual gearbox.
Regardless of the engine choice, the 3008 is far from fun to drive, but the 1.2-litre PureTech petrol feels light and nimble around town. Until the arrival of the Hybrid4, all-wheel drive isn’t available, although the traction-maximising Grip Control should see you through the worst of any weather.
How much does the Peugeot 3008 cost? Even the poverty-spec Active trim is a little on the expensive side, but the majority of the models sold in the UK will cost around the £30,000 mark, putting the 3008 deep into premium badge territory. The 3008 boasts a more eye-catching design and a plusher cabin, which help to justify the extra expense.

In fact, any sane person who reads through that your first post will see that you based your wack submission on assumption - assumption remains the mother of all nonsense. sassysure: I wonder why u said only experienced married men.
Some men are not married yet has more experience in marriage matter than the married ones. Also why did u exclude women?
Anyway,
I stopped reading at a point.
Ur wife has gotten what she worked for, a ring on her hand. When I saw, she cook for me, do this and that, I knew she is out to hook up by any means necessary. She never did hate her ex remember? Just that the guy don't want to settle down so it's possible She was still attached to him emotionally. Okafor's law may have played out significantly and she got pregnant, pressured u into marriage. Marriage after two yrs of graduation cos she was pregnant and u did wedding of 2 million with borrowed funds.whom were u trying to impress? What manner of man are u?
Don't u have a voice? What makes you the man of the house if u can't stamp your authority? I am not saying beat or abuse her but talk like the head of ur family. Let ur wife stop trampling on your manhood. Her excuse that her ex called her first is extremely childish. So u guys still keep in touch with ex's? There is a reason why they are called ex. Unless you are colleagues, u guys don't have anything in common. That was where u would have scolded her seriously still keeping in touch with her ex, yet u are apologising. What are u apologising for. U went to work. Birthdays will continue coming. Is she a kid that put so much meaning into birthday? Why the fuss? She has never stopped her relationship with her ex and the guy is ok as long as she dey open her leg. Now, small soft words from him and she is admitting she never liked ur people. Pls do give her the needed break. Don't disturb her during the break and also make sure u provide for the kid, go and see ur child. As her only general things concerning ur kid and go ur way. If u ignore her( u give her so much attention),she will be confused and start seeking u out. If she eventually come back for talk, read her the riot act. The relationship is still early and it's better this early than late.
It's hard but start seeing urself as a single man once again.
If u have the money, do a DNA test to be sure u are not training another man's child.
What a woman! Her self entitlement is too much and she successfully played u.
U were a fool in love when all the signs are there. Why will she insult your people? What did they do to her? Why didn't u call her to order? Are u even a man?
Some ex will do anything to destabilise ur marriage especially guys if u give them the chance. And they will end up not marrying u. If ur woman had loved u, she will tell you that her ex is contacting her. I so much hate pretenders.
I'm a lady but I will say that we naija ladies are mostly pretenders. The reason why it was said that more than 50% of the first child don't normally belong to the husband. (Na DNA specialist for Lagos talk am o) Mtcheew

Those who see evil and sit back without speaking up are just as evil as the perpetrators. Yes, I know I may come off harsh in my tone but it's because of how deeply passionate I am about this matter. Society has programmed men to be weak and subject to the fluctuating emotions of women. Don't get me wrong, I love and respect beautiful women who are smart and hardworking (and there are still lots of them around) But most women we see in this generation lack grace and true inner beauty. Men are getting weaker by the day. The true essence of masculinity is lost and if we continue like this, society will plummet into ... only God knows. |

Anonymus010: NB: This is 2weeks after the weeding, my wife started abusing my family especially my mum, telling me she hated how my family behaved during the wedding. I pleaded with her not to allow this to affect our home. The insults and abuse became perpetual. My wife works from home and will give me several reasons why she cannot cook after giving her money for food stuffs once I collect salary. Its just 2 of us living in a mini flat & I wash my clothes myself, but she will give me thousands of reasons how the non-existent house shores prevent her from cooking.
Lately, I can't control my wife, anytime I don't buy her idea or wish, she will rain insults on me. Just 3days ago, she told me I don't have sense . Last week, I did 24hours at work, I got home, my wife didn't cook. I got into the kitchen, made custard and placed the soup on the gas cooker. We were both in the living room. She perceived the soup was getting burnt and insulted me, telling me it was because I was not the one that dropped money for the soup, thats why I wanted to burn it (She cooked the soup with her money because my salary was delayed).
She insults me at will, gives me no respect and treat me as trash.(Note: I had never cheated on her and she doesn't doubt my fidelity. Likewise, I had never suspected her of such too). If this isn't abuse, I don't know what is... Sorry dude. But if a b!tch tries this sh** with me, il knock her out. What rubbish! |

I will keep preaching that every man must #MGTOW. Most Nigerian women just like OP's wife have the following characteristics: 1. She doesn't work - she's being housed for free by a beta simp husband (who also pays all the Bills + her personal expenses). 2. She can cook but refuses to because of a false sense of "liberation" fuelled by modern day feminism. 3. She cannot do chores and will probably hire househelp even though they live in a rented flat 4. She brings absolutely nothing to the table. 5. Has a culture of "give me" she will demand your time, money and attention. She will not only take away your finances but your self-worth too and gives nothing in return. 6. Full of insults. No manners at all. Can insult your entire lineage at will yet you cannot fight back without being labelled an abusive husband. 7. Will cheat on you (especially if y'all reside in Nigeria). I thank God for YouTube channels like CoachGregAdams who are unrelentlessy speaking up for us brothers. Men have been shamed and abused to the point of emasculation. Lastly, OP are you sure you're the father of that child? |
