temmytanny: Am not sure about two sitting because i had 7 credits in one sitting with no chemistry and english. I was almost dropping the other cert(DEC GCE) when i just changed my mind cos the instruction stated 5 credits. I would advice you go with two certs if you have them.

temmytanny: I wasnt denied the visa(for now) but they said i should provide family and baby pictures to prove my relationship status. I passed the education and job interview but when it came to relationship status,the lady that interviewed asked me when i first met my woman and where. I told her 2006 in calabar. she now said i have to come back on feb16th with family pictures and baby pictures to prove my point. I told her i have all the pictures with me but she refused to check them insisting i come back. I was depressed alot until my friend called me from US and told me that he went tru same issue and when he returned and provided all they asked,they gave him. so am hoping now and even looking for some tellers i used to send money to her then,more evidences of flights i booked for to come and see me in lagos,more pictures we took during our affairs etc. In the denial letter,they said i have insufficient document but i guess its because i provided only court cert. I have done the traditional wedding and promised my woman that we will do the white in lagos at my church when the baby is 1year old,it was then this DV lottery result came in.

Please do you have any one that has had my experience? i need to know and learn alot before the next interview cos as am writing you now am totally depressed.

[i]You LAW shi.t!!![/i]I think common ethic in LAW could teach you that If embassy could send such mail,you can use it as evidence if they want to deny based on birth certificate issue. Even if they reject the birth certificate you presented,they cant deny you visa because of it. As far as am concerned,they only deny based on forged document,you dont meet requirement and how you fair in your interview(For DV applicants).Many have use even affidavits to get visa and you keep saying shi.t here. How can you say someone NPC attestation letter from NPC isnt the real one? Were you brought here to cause confusion or what?
If embassy changes rules,they will notify applicants thats was why i asked any 2013 winner to mail them for confirmation. Now its been confirmed,you are doing another MARADONNA for us.
You still have a date with them(embassy) and so keep sh.ut and face your exams.

Gbabe 2: @Gentiger I sent an email to d lagos embassy as well about d authentication shit u raised here and their reply was d same response d guy posted above.Let me tell u categorically here that regardless of whatever documents u present,the consular has d final perogative to issue d visa.Bro,with reference to dis ministry of foreign affairs authentication,its crap.It is not mandattory for Visa lottery.Come to think of it,may be Finger print might need unthentication as well?My candid advise for u is to just allow d issue die naturally.Don't allow pple to miscontrue your intention here pls.

I emailed the lagos U.S embassy to get some information concerning birth certificate,police report, level of education required etc. Apparently it is compulsory to have 5 credits in ur ssce.and this was the response i got.

You will need to be able to show the officer that you are educationally qualified at the time of the interview.  

WAEC, NECO, GCE, or SSCE with 5 credits of “6” or better; OND; HND; or University Degree.

 

Medical and police report are also required at the time of interview. We now only accept medical examinations from these two medical facilities in Nigeria: the Q-Life family Clinic, Plot 155A Prince Ade Odedina Street, Off Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos 01-804-2000 or 01-726-2840 Cell: 0702-770-4055 or the Children’s Practice Ltd., 25 Raymond Njoku, Ikoyi, Lagos; 01-893-0723.  Please contact these clinics to schedule your medical examination.  Medical packets are available at the clinic or at

http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html. You would not be allowed in for the interview without a medical report from either clinic.

 

Each visa applicant aged 16 or over is required to submit a police certificate. This certificate must be obtained from Police Headquarters at Alagbon.

 

We also advise you come in with whatever birth certificate is available to you. You will be advised at the time of interview.

adexkem: Gentiger, Aderemi, Temmtenny, Bussy and others thank for the way you handle the issue of birth cretificate and it didnt lead to any problem. for those in need of birth certificate , please follow your mind. this is not just a forum, it is community. i can tell you so many people we meet here that has become friend both at home(NAIJA) or in US. you never can tell who can be of help. when issue like this comes up, let manage it in this manner that will not cause trouble. when temmytenny come i believe we still need to start another topic that will educate on JJC VIEW OF UNITED STATE. the true is if many of you should know what you will face in the first year in US, i tell you , You will not resign from that job / business to come US. FOR INSTANCE a lottery winner went back to nigeria last week becos he cant cope with the condition he found himself. DO YOU KNOW WHAT ? the email simply encouraged for me to check my status and not that the email stated i won.

It was after i checked my status with the necessary requirements that i realised i was selected for further processing.

So please take note ! You have to check with your confirmation number you got when you registered on their website to get any information that you have been selected at all

My brother, no one intends to attack your personalty,I dont even know I had a personal contact with you until you posted it.But one thing you should learn fast is how to address the public, by the nature of your training as lawyer you have to be frank and outspoken but when you are dealing with public avoid using words like

“Can someone competent and knowledgeable in this matters please respond”?
“but the way some of us assume the position of Lordship is amazing”
“Be careful with what you counsel”
“not before a thoughtless counsel deny you a lifetime opportunity”
“some people just want to shut others up because they believe they got superior knowledge having been to the embassy”.
“Go with your 5 O'levels pass without English and Mathematics especially if that's your highest education attainment and get a shocker of your life”

with these you may not get a favourable responses even what you are passing accros is reasonable.This forum is more of an advisory forum based on individual experiences rather than a correctional channel.Above all the public are benefiting from our arguments and they should be allow to make personal descision. I believe by this time next year you will look at this thread and laugh.

Tiwanna: concerning the npc certificate authentication thing, i called someone who works at npc office in port harcourt and asked him if one needs to authenticate his npc birth cert before he/she can use it to travel out of the country with it, he said that it depends on the country you are going to, some embassies will ask you to authenticate it while others wont. he also added that if i want to authenticate my npc cert i can bring it to the office in port harcourt and they will do it for me. but i don't see how authentication of npc cert in dvlottery is necessary, since nobody that has gone for interview and come out successfully have said that it is done that way or that the embassy asked them to authenticate their npc cert.
