Dsalvo: Hate has really corroded the mind and thinking of some of you.
Even forgetting that GEJ was a monumental failure as President of Nigeria , are you aware of the pathetic situation of Bayelsa today.
The State, despite being a major oil producer recieving 13% derivation, is regressing every single day, and adjudged a bankrupt/failed Nigerian State, despite GEJ being the political leader of the State for over a decade now as Governor, President and now ex-president.
Lagos, in total contrast, is the stand-alone best State in Nigeria and 6th biggest economy in Africa directly because of the universally-acclaimed leadership vision and competence of BAT.
The mark of a honorable man, one any mother or community can be proud of, is that he will not even lie against his worst enemy.
That is clearly not you who has ample example of how worthlessly incompetent GEJ is yet can still claim he will be better than BAT who is indisputably one of the best and most effective political leader in Nigeria's history . Shame on irredeemably hateful people like you. Thank you for your submission. It's a pity some of these haters live in Lagos where they are enjoying good governance put in place by Tinubu and his subordinates. Some of them without any sense of history would claim that Lagos is better than their states because of high IGR forgetting that it is the same Tinubu that initiated IGR from paltry N800 million in 1999 to present N45 Billion. The same Tinubu pioneered LASTMA, LAMWA, LASAA, etc that other States copied since. Pre 1999 during military rule, Lagos State was dirty as people threw refuse indiscriminately anywhere. The practice was stopped owing to ingenuity of Tinubu. It's so unfortunate that the so called haters that are accomodated in Lagos and the whole SW are the ones hating seriously on Tinubu. If anyone is comparing Tinubu with GEJ in terms of competence here, then it's no longer on merit but pure hatred for Tinubu and Yorubas. |

Just because you fell out of alliance with the Fulanis in this forth republic, you constituted nuisance by insulting every other tribes that host you, killing yourselves with IPOB, ESN, etc and asking for delusional Biafra you know cannot happen in your tiny land area. Where will you put all your people when you get your Biafra? May God help you and your greedy people. Afonjas are mature, can persevere, believe in long suffering and in the process of justice to see issues through. Afonjas are not emotional, they are quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger which always help them to take or make informed decisions. This is why it's difficult to have ESN, unknown gunmen, etc killing innocent souls in Igbo land in Yoruba land except outsiders that will perpetrate evil due to our hospitality. Yorubas can never descend to this level, though there are bad people everywhere but majority of Yorubas are omoluabis (good and well cultured people) who will never allow evil to reign like it happened in Igboland. That they are watching Igboho in Benin prison is to allow justice to have its way. |

franktech: It is not often that I see someone that knows geopolitics in Nigeria. You are very correct. What is holding American economy is Google, FB, Swift system(visa, mastercard and all the rest), oil thefts from other country around the globe and ability to print USD and use it to buy thing s around the world. Just withing 6years they printed 4trullion USD out of thin air but it is counter productive if they continue in that route. On the other hand China has the real economy that you can see physically and touch. Other countries so not want to be dealing with a country that its economy is printing money or based on YouTube and all the rest. People want to transact goods. To make matters worst for America, they cannot attack China becuase if they do that Russia will intervene + North Korea. They will sink the whole of west within an hour if they want. Russia has indefensible weapons which includes posidon submarine, Avangard and zircon missiles. Those weapons are invincible and cannot be even caught by any radar It's a pity that some of you in this forum do not have correct information about what you write about countries of the world. Someone will write about oil that US is stealing oil all over the world when US is the largest producer of crude oil in the world, producing 12 millions barrels of oil per day. This is six times what Nigeria produces in a day but no one talks about oil in the US here. This figure surpasses Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation production per day. There's prosperity in the land that US government gives money to families that do not earn up to $75000 or $150,000 in a year to make life easy for them by giving out stimulus package, food stamps, etc. Not only that, the company in only Chicago, Illinois is more than all companies in the whole of Africa which many of you don't know. It's a pity that some of you have neither been in the US nor China before you make comparison. You can't compare Chinese that can't accommodate Africans during COVID-19 talk less of giving them refuge. Neither Russia nor China can give out aid as US or Western nations do to people that come to their country or other nations. In terms of military capabilities, it's only empty vessels that make noise. If not for US maturity, many countries of the world will be at war by now. You should rather be thankful to the US for wisdom instead of castigating them. I'm 100% sure that most of you that talk ill of the US on this forum when offered one chance of visa to US, China, North Korea or Russia, none of you will pick China, Russia or North Korea. |

Most importantly, Lagos seaport wouldn't have been the only one in the country. Lagos has always been seat of commerce before Nigeria started in 1914. Abid2020: Are those countries Christian countries? Let's make things clear Yes those countries are Christian countries founded on the foundation of Christian faith. All the founding fathers of the US are Christians except few among them that believe in Deism. Go and check the religion of the US up till now, despite how liberal they, majority of the population still profess Christianity as their religion. As at 2020 estimate, 65% Americans are Christians, 28% answered no religion while only 6% Muslims, etc all inclusive represents other religions. 28% no religion above are Christians that have been swayed away by evolution theory. I know some Muslims always have the notion that Europeans and Americans don't have religion; it's an erroneous belief. That they accomodate all people irrespective of religion show how much they follow Jesus Christ indeed. The same goes for United Kingdom whose King James converted Aramaic/Hebrew/Greek/Latin Bible to English Bible. That these people are helpful shows you they really imbibe the teaching of Christ into their culture. The same attitude is applicable to Western European countries that first received the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. |

Thank you very much for schooling these noisemakers and chestbeaters. They are the architects of their own problem but like to blame others for it. LukasPodolski: why should Azikiwe be allowed in the Western house? what happened to his eastern region? In a bid to actualize his "igbo domination"
here is the article he wrote on his Western African pilot newspaper in 1949 ;
"IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE GOD OF AFRICA HAS CREATED THE IGBO NATION TO LEAD THE CHILDREN OUT FROK BONDAGE OF AGES"
also a member of central legislative council, CHARLES ONYEAMA has this to say.
"IGBO DOMINATION OF NIGERIA IS A MATTER OF TIME"
kudos to Awolowo for not allowing the domination to start from the Western region, albeit they tried to dominate Western region by installing Igbos as vice Chancellor in Unibadan and Unilag despite the fact there are tens of hundreds of qualified Westerners.
can you allow a FULANi Muslim from Katsina to be the governor of Enugu state today? (even though we ain't in stone age anymore) the excuse you guys will make is that, he will islamize Enugu, he's a terrorist, he's not educated etcetera.
but you wanted Awolowo to allow someone whose plan was to dominate the whole of Nigeria in Western region.
after the defeat, he couldn't swallow his pride, instead of forming the govt with Awolowo, he chooses to be a ceremonial president to his Fulani master, Balewa.
it was clear that the domination plan wasn't forthcoming, Hence the Coup. the Igbo coup of 1966, due to inability to control Balewa and actualize the "domination" plan.
only a fool would support Biafra after being jailed , Northerners never care about Awolowo, it was Azikiwe that masterminded the prosecution of Awolowo, big up to Yakubu Gowon for doing the needful after Ironsi failed to do it. and you expect him to support Biafra? that's nonsense.
Shagari/Awolowo, we careless about this, that's why you don't see us shouting Igbos are betrayals, Igbos are backstabbers.
1993, Abiola only won in Anambra, lost in three other States, we still didn't care about that, we never called you betrayals, Backstabbers, Betrayal of southern unity e.t.c
can you now stop calling us betrayals for voting Buhari/Osinbajo?
we counted our looses and moved on after Awolowo, Abiola humiliation, you don't see us Calling you betrayal of Southern unity.
now stop calling us betrayals, the reasons you gave for not voting Awolowo and Abiola justified why we didn't vote for Goodluck. after all Goodluck isn't Igbo, why una dey carry the matter for head sef ?
the same Goodluck that won in 2011 with the support of Yorubas? he won in 5 SW states except Osun state. 2015 we felt/ (known to everybody) marginalized us and voted him out. period. |

Ride on brother, I like your great sense of history. That's the trademark of Igbos when something does not favour them. They know little or nothing about history but want people to believe their lies. My regret as a Yoruba man is that Lord Lugard wouldn't have joined us together as one country, we won't have seen all these shits. They are always bedmates with the Hausas-Fulanis during the first and second republics to the extent their forefathers rejected secession clause in our constitution then which would have made it easy for each ethnic group to go its separate way. The reason being that they wanted to overrun the Western Region at all costs. Even the Chinese will celebrate this achievement despite their technological advancement talkless of Nigeria a developing/ underdeveloped country of today. As it is presently, China and South Korea still send millions of their students abroad for higher learning in the US and Europe. The only difference is that students of Asian origin often return home to develop and grow the economy of their countries while ours stay put because of bad governance at home. If the list has contained 80% of their tribes, it will be noise all through today but since it's the opposite, envy will rear its ugly head from them. scholes0: I already kind of knew from the start that your main grouse with the news is not that this achievement isn't newsworthy, but rather the composition of the achievers.
But back to your fallacious post, if you are a real student of history then you would have known that for most of Nigeria's existence starting from the first republic- Yorubas have always been in the opposition, while the Igbos and Hausa-Fulanis have always been bed partners. But the good thing is that you can't hide the truth, especially when It is glaring. Let's look at the timeline of those who have ruled Nigeria since independence
1960-1963 — Azikiwe/Balewa 1963-1966 — Azikiwe/Balewa 1967-1979 — Civil war/ Military Rule 1979-1983 — Shagari/Ekwueme 1983-1999 — Military Rule 1999-2007 — Obasanjo/Atiku 2007-2010 — Yar'Adua/Jonathan 2010-2015 — Jonathan/Sambo 2015-Date — Buhari/Osinbajo
Now look at the list and tell me when this "Yorubas playing second fiddle to the Fulanis" fable became a thing among you people? Azikiwe in fact neglected Awolowo's handshake across the Niger and instead chose to go play second fiddle as a ceremonial president to prime minister Balewa who had the real power. He also frustrated Chief Awolowo's plan to include the secession clause in the constitution.
On the issue of Southern Unity, did you know that Chief Awolowo picked an Igbo running mate. Yet, the Igbo voted en masse for Shagari, an illiterate Northerner to spite Awolowo and the Yoruba. In fact, the Igbo wanted Abacha to continue ruling, matter of fact, the [Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha (YEAA)] campaign was led by an Igbo man, by the name Daniel Kanu. They even voted against Abiola who had wide acceptance across the board in Nigeria, including huge swathes of the North, and instead chose to support Tofa the Northern candidate whose collabo partner was an Igbo vice by the name Sylvester Ugoh who also happened to be the defunct governor of the central Bank of Biafra (shame). Abiola won in only 1 out of the then 4 Eastern states
—The Igbo had no problem with collaborating with the North when they supported Atiku and Peter Obi or in all previous occasions. They only have issues with Northern collaboration when they aren't the bedmates and someone else is doing the 'collaborating' |

Which tribalism is more than the highjacking of a political party created by a Yoruba man Herbert Macaulay and taken over by your lord Azikiwe to perpetuate his Ibo agenda of taken over SW Region in the first republic when he manipulated Tafawa Balewa to make less qualified Igbos to head 2 universities first created in Nigeria? The same greed and tribalism that led your forefathers to organize coup, toppled the government of Tafawa Balewa to install Azikiwe that failed woefully at the end. Your tribe's greed and tribalism led to the dismantling of true federalism to embrace unitary government we had since, which brought underdevelopment to Nigeria. The former gave each region to develop at her pace while the latter wants everyone to develop at the same pace. It was the achievements in the SW Region that dwarfed the ones in your region that made your tribalist lord to scuttle true federalism that could have made Nigeria compete with Asian Tigers favourably today.
