Enugu state and crap politics of power rotation at state level. Enthroning incompetent career politicians who are reversing the states development with money sharing. Learn from Anambra and look for your best. Principled achievers with vision to take you somewhere. It is better to be going somewhere in conflict than to be going backwards in peace, because your leader is sharing loots equitably among politicians, contrary to Sulivans policies of working for which they tried to impeach him. Enugu is peaceful and stagnant! 4 Likes |

It's is called "British Black Propaganda" This op is an indirect recruit of an arm of British intelligence that is tutoring the Nigerian Government. They are well funded, and can go as far as staging events and forming fake organisations. If you noticed, this guy came up out of the blues and started making superhuman efforts to cast ESN as cannibals when no one ever had such an inkling or thought. No Nigerian player would ever think of fighting IPOB by portraying them as cannibals. Only some one reading the outdated British colonial files that profiled Igbos over 1700s and 1800s, can come up with such a psychology driven goal, believing Igbos are still as scared of cannibals as they were I colonial times. https://www.rt.com/news/555513-uk-black-propaganda-ussr-china/ https://www.rt.com/news/550014-uk-new-cell-disinformation/ Russia has a disinformation unit, but theirs is an information unit, that clearly side stepped the murder of Deborah, trivialising it, to focus attention on so called disinformation on Sokoto riots. They are doing same to IPOB, trivializing herdsmen attacks, casting doubts if they ever happened, and focusing attention on graphic murders allegedly by ESN. Any graphic material they can get is tied to ESN, and it seems now they are even willing to stage them. This is the game Mandela played with them in South Africa. How, he seperated his armed movement from his political movement and outsmarted them. IPOB must do the same. 1 Like |
Politics / Should You Believe The BBC? Over 80 years of British Black Propaganda by GerogeI(m): 12:55pm On May 16, 2022 |
Do you still think the BBC is a legitimate non partial media out outfit, even though it is funded by Govt? The new so called BBC disinformation unit, is a revival.of the old secret black propaganda unit described below. And they are even active on Nairaland with Nigerian recruits. 15 May, 2022 12:43 HomeWorld News UK 'black propaganda' campaign exposed by researcher London for decades sought to drive a wedge between Moscow, Beijing, the Arab world and Africa through fake news, a researcher claims UK 'black propaganda' campaign exposed by researcher FILE PHOTO. © Global Look Press / Steve Taylor A secretive unit within the British Foreign Office waged a "black propaganda" campaign against the USSR and China from the 1950s to the 1970s to undermine their global influence, the Guardian has reported, citing a researcher who studied a trove of recently declassified intelligence documents. London did not shy away from stirring up anti-Semitism, racism and Islamist sentiment to achieve its goals, the academic claims. “These releases are among the most important of the past two decades. It's very clear now that the UK engaged in more black propaganda than historians assume and these efforts were more systemic, ambitious and offensive,” Rory Cormac, a professor of international relations at Nottingham University, told the Guardian. According to the newspaper, the documents reveal “hundreds of extensive and costly operations” conducted by the Information Research Department (IRD) – a covert unit initially established by the post-WWII Labour government to counter Communist propaganda. The unit “went far beyond merely exposing Soviet disinformation,” Cormac has said, adding that the UK "definitely intended to deceive audiences in order to get the message across." UK revives Cold War-era unit to fight ‘disinformation’READ MORE UK revives Cold War-era unit to fight ‘disinformation’ The IRD had a separate highly secretive Special Editorial Unit responsible for so-called “black propaganda,” a special type of fake news designed to look as if it’s produced by a nation or organization that the actual creator wants to discredit. Some of the “reports” sent to Western governments and media included analysis supposedly coming from independent institutions, which were secretly run by the IRD, and warned Western nations about alleged “Soviet subversion.” The British unit also forged at least 11 reports supposedly released by Soviet state-run news agencies, according to the Guardian. London particularly sought to drive a wedge between Moscow and its allies in the Arab world by both producing fake news discrediting the Soviet Union in the eyes of Arabs, and stirring up Islamist sentiment among them, the paper said. One such report, presented as coming from the USSR, blasted Soviet military aid to Egypt during the 1967 Six-Day War with Israel as a “waste.” The British operatives also forged pro-Islamist literature, including that of the Muslim Brotherhood – a group that had significant influence in the Arab world at that time. Statements forged by the IRD saw the Muslim Brotherhood calling the Soviets “filthy-tongued atheists” and accused them of perceiving Egyptians as “peasants” following “reactionary Islamic superstitions.” The IRD also went as far as to create an entirely fictional Islamist group – the League of Believers – that attacked the Soviet Union for its atheism and blamed the Arab defeats in the wars against Israel on a lack of faith. British propaganda campaign incited mass slaughter of communists in Indonesia in 1960s, declassified papers revealREAD MORE British propaganda campaign incited mass slaughter of communists in Indonesia in 1960s, declassified papers reveal The British unit reportedly did not shy away from stirring up anti-Semitic sentiment as well. One of its leaflets incited Egyptians to attack Israel by asking them: “why don't they direct their armies against the Jews?” The IRD was similarly active in Africa, where it repeatedly sought to convey an image of the Soviet Union seeing Africans as uncivilized. In 1963, the IRD forged a statement by the World Federation of Democratic Youth – an organization linked to the USSR – which called Africans “primitive.” Other forgeries included statements in which the Soviets decried the “backwardness” and “political immaturity” of Africa, while criticizing the skills of black African students enrolled in Soviet universities. Documents declassified back in 2021 and seen by the Guardian also showed that the British propaganda campaign had had a role in the mass slaughter of Communists in Indonesia in the 1960s. Between 500,000 and three million supporters of the Communist Party were killed at that time, according to various estimates. These efforts had the full support of several consecutive British governments, according to Cormac. In 1964, the Conservative Prime Minister, Alec Douglas-Home, ordered the IRD to target Ghana over its supposed leanings to Moscow. Months later, the Labour Foreign Secretary, Patrick Gordon Walker, called on the unit to produce black propaganda “from time to time” and particularly stir up racial tensions between the Africans and Chinese. Сold War-style UK psyop unit targets Russians – mediaREAD MORE Сold War-style UK psyop unit targets Russians – media Although the unit was officially disbanded in 1977, similar efforts allegedly continued for almost another decade, the Guardian says. Now, the British government is still engaged in an “information war,” according to Cormac. In February, just days before the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss revealed that the UK was creating a new unit to combat “disinformation” from Moscow. In March, the Telegraph reported that the unit dubbed the Government Information Cell was reaching Russian social media to disseminate London’s view on the conflict in Ukraine. “Liz Truss has a ‘government information cell,’ and defense intelligence sends out daily tweets to ‘pre-but’ Russian plots and gain the upper hand in the information war, but for much of the cold war the UK used far more devious means," the researcher said, adding that the declassified papers are “particularly significant as a precursor to more modern efforts of putting intelligence into the public domain.” https://www.rt.com/news/555513-uk-black-propaganda-ussr-china/ 2 Likes |

Flat sharing is suited to young people struggling to establish their careers. It is the lowest cost of accommodation in UK, and US, so their is nothing wrong with sharing flats. Its way better than face me I face you. The problem is that our theiving legislature has not found it useful to laydown laws guiding flats share as has been the case in other parts of the world. So my suggestion is that the parties involved should draw up an agreement covering the sharing dos and don't and sign it. And also try to ensure their rent reaches the owner of the house. Whether the landlord is aware or not, the minimum period of 6 months must be given for eviction as long as he has been collecting money from one of you. 2 Likes |

spearman: This is not Rocket Science. Igbos were defeated in a war sponsored by a known world power, Britain. After that war, every fringe Igbo subgroups in the South and West denied being Igbo to avoid the victimisation that followed. Those in the North Nsukka area were occupied by the Federal army much earlier in the war, so they did not really fight and saw little retribution, hence saw no need to deny being Igbos. How serious were the retribution? 1. Igbos in civil service, police, and army were disengaged and sent home. You can save your job by claiming not to be Igbo. 2. If you moved to a place like Onitsha after the war, Federal troops routinely commandeered your wife. You just come home and see some military men in your house having sex with your wife. If they even see you, they will just shoot you. This is how it is believed Obasanjo fathered Oby Ezekwesili. To avoid all this evil, you just claim not to be Igbo. Britain encouraged all such groups to deveate from being Igbo and also laid the plan for the isolation of the central Igbo region to make Igbos smaller and less powerful. So you politicians were encouraged to deny Igbo origin. 3.igbos were not controlling any funding source, hence our war torn infrastructure were dead. Our communities lacked any external help. The so called humanitarian efforts were being routed through actors in Western Nigeria who diverted them to their region. Things like Seats means for war torn schools were rerouted to schools in western Nigeria. To be saved of such, you just had the claim not to be Igbo. It was not difficult denying being Igbo because Igbo communities even in the heartland traditionally identified themselves by their own names, and everyother neighbour they called Igbo's. But as they referred their neighbours as Igbos, they themselves were referred to by their neighbours as Igbos. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Dear OP, In Anambra State, we value our hospitality. In fact, our guests are exempt from most of our communal laws, we will quickly tell you such is a guest, Obia. This is a case of a criminal element hosting you in his house. My question is this, have you reported formally, to the police first and then to the Igwe and President General of the Community. You do not need to visit, just send them a text message, they will not take it lightly as this tarnishes the image of the community. But you must make the report for the complaint to be authentic. The community will fish out the assailant and deal with them, before the state government even reacts. I will also refer contacts from Okija, to this complaint. These are criminals, and does not reflect our community values in Anambra state. You do not take laws into your own hands, even if the controversy is handled at community level. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Nuclear War. What Is The Meaning Of MAD? by GerogeI(m): 10:11am On Apr 29, 2022 |
plaindealer:Lol, you are thick, really thick skulled. Let me try to be slow and gentle. ICBM can easily achieve 7km/s, but they need to be launched into space, which means they are easily detected. All the parties have this capability. But conventional air breathing missiles that you fire from vehicles or boats or ships or subs do not have that kind of speed. Except Russia now has the technology. Meaning, that the US can respond to a Russian attack, but not only can Russia intercept the conventional missiles they respond with, they can also use the hypersonic missiles to intercept or deflect an incoming ICB missile since they have similar speed range. So mutually assured destruction might not be totally mutual after all. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Nuclear War. What Is The Meaning Of MAD? by GerogeI(m): 10:04am On Apr 29, 2022 |
plaindealer: Oh, I see your irrelevant use of Fleet. Has no consequence. US cannot destroy Russia from fleets, their missiles can be intercepted. They need to use intercontinental ballistic missiles, especially now that Russia can fire hypersonic interceptors. And futher, no one ever made claims that Russia cannot sustain damage from retaliatory nuclear attacks. The point really is that Russias new capabilities make it more able to intercept or destroy such attacks, so the mutually assured destruction is no longer certain. The world is officially back in the arms race, Russia is on top for now. |

plaindealer: You know when you do not know how things work, you tend to mystify it. The sensors you are talking about are cameras on satellites, same kind used for shooting Google earth pictures and their infra red sand Lidar versions. Even North Korea routinely fool's all those cameras. As for hypersonic missiles, am guessing you are not science inclined, so its hard for you to understand the implication. So lets make it simple, you cannot intercept them, the person who has them can more easily intercept your conventional missiles. 1 Like |

plaindealer: Nuclear targets can be population centers and can also be deserts. Depends in the goal or strategy. The dangers of nuclear bombs is not the immediate explosion, but the millions of fragments of fissile material it will scatter over about 30km radius for the average bomb. So it can also be use to confine a population to a restricted area for the next 100 years. MAD is nuclear weapons, and Nuclear weapons is MAD. Like you said, its a theory, howbeit it has not been tested. Hypersonic missiles is just one way it can all go wack. Am sure both US and Russia have been thinking of other ways. For example the research in atomic collisions (CERN) is actually an effort into the possibility of using antimatter to to annihilate nuclear warheads without consequences. How much that has progressed is unknown, but theoretically possible. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Nuclear War. What Is The Meaning Of MAD? by GerogeI(m): 9:14am On Apr 29, 2022 |
plaindealer:That's a stupid conjecture rising from ignorance. Let me educate you again: First make distinction between nuclear powered and nuclear weaponized ships. Its not everytime you hear nuclear submarine that the reference is to nuclear war heads. No, the nuclear subs mostly refer to the power source for the engine. They use nuclear fuels to generate heat that drives a sterling engine or its variation. So they never rise for refueling and can stay underwater for months at a time. A nuclear weaponized ship will not carry more than 2 to 5 nuclear war heads, considering the weight of launch systems. That's will hardly dent a country with large mass like Russia or US. I think you are just a kid, more concerned with sounding right than the true realities of war. 3 Likes 1 Share |
