Career / Re: Is Studying Engineering Now A Scam In Nigeria by GerogeI(m): 2:30pm On Aug 29, 2022

Hello sir. I love your reply. I just want to ask a question and I would appreciate it if you answer. I wanted to study computer science but by fate, what was available for me was Computer Engineering, and I have always wanted to be a programmer who knows about software and also deals with hardware like making phones and creating the ROM and RAM myself, and also want to learn a bit about developing AI , please do you encourage I take up the computer engineering or wait till I can get computer science? I had made my researches and I could decipher the fact that computer engineering deals with both software and hardware (some universities call it computer science and engineering) but aggregating it finally to the Nigerian system is what baffles me...please any tangible suggestion would be welcomed. Thanks in advance

Software technologies is not necessarily Engineering. Programming computers is more in the line of an Interpreter, only that the interpretation uses mathematics and Logic. Infact programming is akin yo speaking the language of the computer. So its a technologist's job, akin to a blue colar worker. However, it is in high demand due to booming Information technology. You do not need an Engineers certificate to get into Tech jobs as they are rightly called. You just need practice and certifications.

Career / Re: Is Studying Engineering Now A Scam In Nigeria by GerogeI(m): 2:04pm On Aug 29, 2022
selmansee:
I have become skeptical about Engineering in Nigeria

I want to study Mechanical engineering or elect elect. I am still confused..Please I’ll really appreciate if y’all can help

I am an Engineer.
The first thing you need to do is to make a distinction between Engineers and Technicians. Engineers are designers, solution crafters or inventors. Technicians on the other hand are the hands for the skilled labour to execute and produce the Engineers designs or carry out maintenance works.

In Nigeria lay people call Technicians Engineers. Frankly, Engineers cannot do what technicians do, because they are specilized skills that require years of practice. Even though an Engineer can adapt to learn on the job easily.

Industrial outfits do not need a lot of Engineers to function. Rather they need a lot of blue colar workers or technicians, such as mechanics, machine operators, welders, fitters, undsea welders, foundary operators, etcs. A technician cannot do what an Engineer does.

What is it that Engineeers do? They design solutions in such a way as to meet all kinds of stringent requirements on the first try. That is without room for trial and error. A civil Engineer must design a bridge or building to fully function on completion, without room for re-building. This is what we call Reliability. So even in designing a maintenance program for a machine, an Engineer must achieve significant machine uptime regardless of the challenges.

There are very few Engineering Roles in Nigeria. While they are few, they are actually well paid, especially in the oil industry. They are also mostly maintenance or consulting roles, not design roles. A junior Engineer with a Nigerian Local company earns about N400k to N600K per month. Engineering Managers earn upwards of double these amounts.

Why are there few Engineering roles?
Nigeria has very little manufacturing and production outside the oil industry. A typical small scale factory does not need an Engineer to funtion. Rather they need Technicians.

Whay are there so many Engineers Teaching in schools?
1. Mass production of Engineers rather than Technicians by Nigeria's 6-3-3-4 system. Higher Colleges were neglected. This system is so ridiculous that it planned to produce technicians at Junior secondary level, with courses such as Introductory Technology which failed as we were too young to work or even understand. Meanwhile it created no room for Polytechnics and Colleges of Higher Education. So everybody that was technically inclined went to study Engineering at University, especially with initial demand for Engineers from the oil industry.

2. Poor quality, education and generationally poor quality lecturers. The first set of Nigerian Engineers were trained in other countries, but coming back without avenues to practuce or demonstrate technical concepts. Each new generation of Engineers are worse than their predecessor.

3. Cultisim in Universities. I am sure you've heard of Engine Boys. They are the cultist in schooĺ. Climbing in and out through windows during academic works. Being weaponized for campus politics. Eventually they graduate with unearned scores given by their fellow cultist lecturers. Some of them are the Engineers you see in your class rooms. They are unable to compete and win those few available Engineering Roles.

4. Nigerian Engineers are not designing and inventing to create new opportunities. The worlds richest man is making money from Engineering- Elon Musk. The previous one also made money from Software Engineering, before it became a Technicians Job for programmers ( mathematical typist). In each era, the Engineering that creates the products for future and advancement, earn the most reward. Nigerian Engineers are not producing anything new or old, hence are not earning significant rewards. They are also not solving our most pressing problems. Our mechanical Engineers are yet to design cars, truck, trains, airplanes to fast track our economy. Our civil engineers are yet to find ways to make our roads last for 100 years without erosion. Our Electrical Engineers cannot provide enough power to meet our common demands. Our Electronics Engineers are yet to build a radio, talkless of liquid crystal displays, smart traffic light, our local computer processor. Rather they are all trooping out to work as software technicians.

If you want study and succeed as an Engineer, you must desire to truly solve problems via technical designs, and also be dedicated to study and understand the difficult concepts that engineers before you surmounted.Your study should be as rigorous as that of Doctors for your to stand a chance of competing with well mentored Engineers from other parts of the world.

Family / Re: Please Help Save My Marriage by GerogeI(m): 2:05pm On Aug 28, 2022
newold:
I decided to create a new account to make these post.

To make the long story short.

I never realised what i was getting myself into until i started googling and then discovered what i had gotten myself into. This has rendered me hopeless, almost useless, and broke.

Since 2020 until now, i have only laboured in vain. i became unable to take proper care and provide for my family not because i don't get paid from work (i do have a work which i do) though the pay does not come every time. Greed, wanting more i would say has lead me to these part that is about to break and destroy me completely.

I have a very loving and hardworking wife, who has saved me countless number of times. i have broken her hearts by these singular addiction. i have tried several ways to stop. but once money gets into my hand the first thing that comes to my mind is to feed my addiction.

Most times i cry alone in the house and wished i could turn back the hand of time. I have felt depressed, lost weights, and my confidence, and the suicidal thoughts as deep down i know i should be better, i should do better for my wife and child.

i lost everything to these monster, my car, my peace, my respects, even some friends.

since 2020 now, i have no savings, infact i empty my account in less than 24 hours because of my greed.

on several occasions i have used the money meant for purchasing another car since after i sold the other one. i spent the money to feed these my monster.

even when i WIN i lose it all back. just 3 months ago. i had lost almost #2m. these happen within 2 days.

I am slowly dyeing inside. when i look at my child and my wife and what my actions have put them through. and for the fact that i keep going back. i then feel there might be something else wrong with me.

I have followed some forums for help but i keep going back. please and please if you know how or what to say to me that will help my situation please do.

PLEASE FOR ANYONE WHO WILL BE READING THESE.

ALWAYS SAY NO TO GAMBLING.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER GAMBLED BEFORE. BPLEASE IS BETTER YOU DON'T TRY SO AS NOT TO EXPERIENCE WHAT MILLIONS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE GOING THROUGH, INCLUDING ME

If you are this remorseful. The solution is simple. Give financial control to your wife. Tell your work place to pay your salary into her sole account where you have no access and let her know of your challenge and addiction. Until you get yourself back.

Car Talk / Re: Why Do Nigerians Think The Road In Front Of Their House Belongs To Them? by GerogeI(m): 11:23pm On Aug 26, 2022
GloriousGbola:

oh i am sure the neighbourhood watch and all those nosy old ladies will not call the police on strange cars parked beside their driveways

there is a lot of nuance you are missing here

Nigerians have to provide their own security. nigerians have to be paranoid. Nigerians know that if anyone starts abusing what you consider to be basic rights it will be on them

can you imagine someone abandoning a used ice cream truck in front of your house? or a stolen car? or parking in front of your house at night to fk in the car?

I have read all kinds of excuses on simple common civility, that I think Nigerians are mis-educated. Just like this poster. The simple question is does your property extend into the public space called road. The simple answer is no. If it did, you that is claiming the road in front of your house will not be able to go to market or work or school. Because you will have to use roads passing in front of other peoples houses.

What business of your is it, what a car parked, legally parked on a public road in front of your house is doing inside if the person has not invited you or knocked on your door? Whether sex or otherwise. If public nudity is a crime, then call the police, not blocking legsl road users as collateral purnishment. Who even gave you the job of preventing sex in a car in the first place.

Some people are talking of parking, as if the road in front of their house is their private garage. If you need private parking, build your own in your house. If you are parking on the road, note that it was built and approved by tax payers (even the road in your estate is public property, unless your estate is specifically designated as a private space which is rare), as such is a first come first serve parking space. Apart from junctions, and cross roads, any two lane road approved by town planning authority is a legal parking space for anybody, unless otherwise stated via a notice by the local Government authority. Not police or Army, as they have no jurisdiction over space planning.

The most annoying, blocking street roads in the name of neighbourhood association. You have zilch rights over public roads either as landlords or tenants. That expressway you pass everyday goes in front of someones house. Even a mad man from the furthest boarderland in Nigeria has every right to pass through that estate gate you lock everyday without hinderance. For your security, secure your house, not the roads we all share just because you live close to that section

But alas, we live among mad people who are so strangely selfish and self centered that they cannot build a society, but think they are sane. The level of our brain self awareness has not gone much further away from that of animals, and is still not much further than the "me, I, mine, my" . Even public funds is not about the public but about their pockets, positions of public service to them is not about the service, but about their kingship and new found powers. They turn democratic tenets into validations of their alpha ego. Thats why tinubu is shouting emilokan, when he should be begging people to give him mandate.

Black people are inherently flawed in their psychology. They cannot work together, they cannot build except individually, they lack the brian capacity to project and understand the consequences of their choices and actions. Trust is a concept that they do not understand. Rather like mere monkies they steal and horde everything they can. Leadership to them means only Kingship and physical supremacy, hence their leaders only allow power to transcend at the point of their death. Like monkey troupes or tribes, the young leaders must kill the old leader to take power, so animalistic, but we all want to claim to be humans.

Politics / Re: I Might Have Accessed Parallel Universes Through Dreaming by GerogeI(m): 11:01am On Aug 24, 2022
You are right about questions of existence stemming from dream experiences, but how do you know the answer is parallel universe?

1. Brain might be misfiring creating false experiences records. I have reasons to believe the so called edo witchcraft experiences stem from injecting worm eggs whose larve travel to brain lining and cause inflammation to creates massive misfiring of the brain. Either the brain stops working and exposes the true nature of things or it creates entirely false experiences.

2. Everyday, you are aware for 14 hours, and sleep for 8 hours. Where is your consciousness when you are asleep? We take it for granted. But the fact that you can switch off and on your consciousness might points to this reality being an illusion. Just like a video game, try one of the most recent fps shooter games like Call of Duty. You log in, and log out.

This makes a lot if sense. The evolution of video games as we know it will progress to life living in virtual world, with even possible implantation of computing devices in our body to run the simulation while in reality, the person might be an invalid constrained to a bed. But a mighty warrior with blue eyes or a villian in a virtual world.

So , is it that your real life memories or momories from other virtual world simulations are some how being recorded or recalled or viewed in your dreams.

3. Then your parallel universe, where you are a villian, the least likely. The problem with this concept as portrayed in Hollywood is what determines the limit of the number if parrallels. The concept is often portrayed as you having alterntive chioces of yours in parallel worlds. Now if choice and variation is what drives these parallels, then the rule must be exhaustive of all our choice permutations, which frankly is infinite and unlikely. The nature of energy demands that infinite energy does not exit, talkless of existing for 7 billion people, and over a billion trillion plants and animals who also make choices.

4. Interference.
Our computers can communicate seemlessly without letter, so can our brains. Just seems we have some how forgotten how. Theory of use and disuse. So, whether it is angels, devils, aliens, other human beings. I am pretty sure the telepathic communication is path of every human. The question is who are you communicating with, and what is their purpose given that you are likely ignorant of the communication. Telepathic communications are wordless, but can be visual or intuitive like dreams. So are you receiving visual communications of the nature alternative you the qyestion is why? And from Whom?

I'm really a fan of Peter Obi's Presidential ambition, but I think the hate he's even getting from some of his fellow Igbo politicians is nothing good to write about them. This is the major golden opportunity that the Igbos have now at producing someone that will become the next President of Nigeria in 2023, but see the foolishness and myopic mindset that some Governors and politicians in the South-East are displaying to him.

Instead of rallying round him and supporting their best chance to produce a capable president, they'll rather support someone else just to keep the illusion of the Igbo presidency going. Later on they'll be crying for Biafra.

If not that Tinubu is quite old and picked a Muslim as himself as VP, why will I leave my own and even support people who are not ready to support themselves. It would have been Tinubu first for me.

See what Soludo posted.

Anambra international airport has water treatment plant, tallest control tower, aviobridges, etc, while tanker water supply is still the main source of water supply at enugu airport. Very soon air France, lufthanza and even Ethiopia airline will open in Anambra international airport.

This comparison is not necessary, they are all in the east. Tell Soludo to market the Airport to airlines. For now Enugu has an active airline, which we are happy to use.

In future, Airlines will sweep both airports with the same aircrafts before heading off. So nothing to loose. They will also land in one and terminate in other.

SteveDGreat:
I am emotionally down honestly. If not that I am hearing this from her, I won't believe that a Man could be this cold towards his wife.

This lady is my one and only best friend. As a matter of fact, I was nursing plans to marry her but man never make it. We never had sex.

Well, she got married and our conversation slow down. I deliberately slow it down so as to respect her marriage.

One day I decided to call, the husband picked and warned me never to call her again. Omoh I was shocked.

Days after she called and apologized and explained how the man has completely changed and is maltreating her to the extend of beating her and emotional abuse. We spoke consistently and unfortunately, she left the marriage.

She came to my city was staying with her elder brother. We spoke for some time and I went off cos I didn't want to get too close so as not to attract emotional feelings.

Well, after some months, she blocked me from reaching her. For 9 months we haven't been in touch.

Yesterday she sent me a chat with a strange phone Facebook that I should give her my number. Since Yesterday, she has been pouring her emotional trauma on me.
Her marriage is hell. Emotional abuse, insults, beating.

As I am typing, she is still talking on phone. She is done with the marriage and wants to leave but she is scared of her son that's 1 year and 2 months old.

I really feel bad for her and don't even know how to help her.
It is painful. She is my best friend.

Only she can help herself.
I have sisters, and frankly I do not understand why women like to be subjugated, and they come up with 1001 so many stupid reasons why they must remain in the misery or dangerous environment.

Your friend should leave the marriage finito, for herself and her son, a happy balanced son that is not close to the father, is better than one that becomes a monster from watching his father abuse his mother. No male child raised under an abusive father is normal, they are either always over compensating for their fathers behaviour, or copying him hook line and sinker.

The lady should contact her lawyer friends and lay enough alibi for her childs custody before leaving. If the man loves beating her, get a spy cam, and provoke him in the presence of the baby. Family court will rule that the man is a danger to the child.Talk to a lawyer first and get a plan.

Igbo might be traditionally republicans before the colonial Era but not after it even Ojukwu was a Dictator, how could he single handedly started the Civil War otherwise? Azikiwe that was also an Igbo leader told him back then not to start the war but he did not listen, that's exactly how Dictators behave.

Thats how they teach you people false history.
Biafra was declared by the Eastern House of Assembly, not Ojukwu. Biafra name was proposed by a Cross River Representative and adopted by the house. OJukwu was apppointed as the country leader being the most Senior Military Officer, at a time we needed Military defence. We are unapologetically republicans. Even today, thats why a Tinubu-tin god can not happen in our land.

In case you do not know. Nnamdi Azikiwe was born and raised in Zaria, he thinks like and has northern interest. He is an Igbo man mainly by name, spent most of his time growinh up outside Igbo culture.

Third, unlike your monarchies in the North, or gerontocracy in the Southwest, who rule by fiat, which both sides keep trying to fiist of the rest of Nigeria in the guise of democracy. Our political leaders cannot tell us what to do, they like everybody else are entitled to their opinion. Whether that opinion succeeds depends on how many people they can influences to buy into it. Nnamdi Kanu is not elected, not appointed, but has been apple to sell his Biafea vision to many. Hence he has people power. Any western democratic leader will admire and respect that anyday anytime. They just do not want to give up the oil control, and we are not interested in denying them oil benefits either. At some point, they will understand that and the Biafra will stand.
Politics / Re: One Of The Reason Western Countries Are Not Supporting Biafra Agitation by GerogeI(m): 6:20pm On Aug 13, 2022

Western countries promote democracy and hate communism or any Dictatorship forms of government to the core.

Nnamdi Kanu has become a mini God to his followers, everything he says is true and unquestionable his words are laws and orders.

If Biafra is achieved today there is a chance Nnamdi Kanu may become a mini Puttin of Russia or chairman Mao Zedong of China , in charge of every hands of government.

Westerners see a lot of Dictatorship tendencies in Biafra Agitation, if they portrayed themselves as true democrats and peaceful they may actually be able to get significant support internationally but choosing the violence route and attacking the government has totally destroyed that chance.

Only Dictatorship or communist countries like China, Russia, Turkey, Iran etc can easily support Biafra agitation without any qualms but Biafra agitators must also be ready to bring a lot to the table like valuable resources or any of those countries must have interest in breaking up Nigeria but then the west won't allow it to happen easily.

When did westerners see you, to tell you all this?
Your foolishness is glaring.

Nobody can be a dictator among Igbos, not Ojukwu, not Azikiwe, and not Nnamdi Kanu, simply because we are traditionally Republicans. One man does not speak for us, hence the reference 'Oha na Eze' in all our expression of political interest and laws. Meaning 'The People and the King'. Notice that it is the people before the King. And still we have no Kings, just psuedo kings in the boarderlands.

Western countries know this more than you think. Britain knows this more than you, having fought endless wars with us, when they thougth they had made a backdoor deals. They also know that one man cannot decide for us, which is why they maintain one Nigeria, so they can force unity on us in the face of other tribes.

They have seen how the One Nigeria failed, apart from throwing up Nepotic leaders like Buhari, with ethnic supremacy agendas against international multi-social orders, it is brewing both endless immigrants and Islamic terrorists for them in their own country. They are currently working hard, trying to avert the ethnic retaliations that is likely to befall Fulanis on Buhari's exit as you can see from the infamous BBC documentary.

So the truth is that western countries cannot wait to see Biafra actualised. They are only trying to persuade their bussiness community who have investments in the oil industry. Hence, Biafrans are doing every thing to give them confidence that their investments and contracts will be safe and carried over to the Great Biafra!

The truth is that there is no real forex market to value Naira. More than 70% of Nigerias forex earning is from oil. Earned in usd, and moved from NNPC to CBN. Govt. looters then go on spending spree. There is no trading in more than 60% of forex entering Nigeria. So anyone saying naira is over valued is a pure liar. Chief executive terrorist of Nigeria, Buhari, congratulates one of his executive terrorist, Pantami, on an achievement attracted by being Nigeria's minister of communication and digital economy.

Bros, its not even an Anchievement, its a Scholarship. FELLOWSHIP is a scholarship and admission combo for postgraduate studies.

For an fresh graduate from Nigerian university from a poor background, yes this will be an achievement. For Patami, one tyre from his SUV can probably pay the entire school fees, talkless of being admitted as a serving Government minister.

So the Nigerian Presidency congratulates Patami for getting a post graduate scholarship with UK Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec).

Thats because his loot and salary as a Minister could not pay for post graduate studies at the insitute.
How is this an Anchievement?

Last I checked, any Government official can get a study fellowship merely on the grounds that improving his knowledge can impact the public, but this one is trying to sell a mere Scholarship from an obscure 2006 organisation as an Academic achievement.

Why is this man always fraudulent in his public image?

Politics / Re: Pyrates Confraternity Officially Responds To The Trending Emilokan Video by GerogeI(m): 9:55am On Aug 09, 2022
blazestringz:
Setting the Records Straight

In the last 48 hours, our attention has been drawn to a viral video of a song that has raised concerns and commentary across Nigeria.

For the avoidance of doubt, between August 4 and August 6 2022, the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) was in Ikeja, Lagos, for our 46th Annual General Meeting. This event was attended by over 2,000 of our members who came to Lagos from all over the world.

As part of the activities we were at the Isheri Primary Health Centre on Thursday 4th August, where we provided free medical services to the Isheri Community. Over 300 people were assisted with various forms of medical treatment. We were also at the Police Hospital, Area F, Ikeja, where we donated substantial quantities of PPEs and other medical supplies.

These were part of our NAS Medical Mission which was founded in 2012. In the 11 years since then, we have organised over 50 free medical missions that has made a difference to many disadvantaged communities across Nigeria.

Part of the annual general meeting was the review of all our advocacy, humanitarian and operational activities for the year. This, then, as usual, culminated in a celebratory procession. An aspect of this yearly process that we have undertaken for the last 46 years. In our view, it proceeded without event, until this extremely limited video made this appearance.

Quite contrary to the manner in which certain aspects of the video are being portrayed, no aspect of this procession or the event itself was political. Rather it was the typical climax of our annual general meeting. At no time in the history of this organisation has this event; or indeed any of our events had any slanted political leanings.

Let it be known that the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) does not mock or discriminate against the physical condition of any person. Never. It is an unfair characterisation and offends everything that we stand for. Indeed, this would cause offence to even our own members that are also, unfortunately, afflicted that this would never be condoned.

We must stress that we are apolitical. As an organisation, we have never had a preferred candidate in any political elections including the upcoming 2023 general elections. We have members who belong to different political parties and are absolutely free to support any candidate of their choice.

It is most unfortunate that political capital is being made of this with interpretations that are totally at variance with the philosophy of the Pyrates Confraternity. Unequivocally, we condemn this in very strong terms.

We understand that political merchants desperately seeking media mileage are all over the place misinforming and twisting events to suit their political agenda. However, we wish to reemphasise that the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) are not supporting or backing any candidate for the office of the President or any other office in the 2023 general elections and beyond.

As an organisation in tune with disadvantaged and voiceless people, we are committed to the enthronement of a just society in which no one is discriminated against based on tribe, religion, gender or disability. We are against conventions that are moribund. We have always stood for Humanistic ideals, comradeship and chivalry. Nothing that has happened can and will change that posture.

We are determined to continue to use our social programmes, intellectual platforms and our compelling songs to advocate for good governance and accountability!

The southern cameroon asked for a referendum and got it. Why did you allow Azikiwe to vote on your behalf if he wasn't representing you? Awolowo was undeniably representing Yoruba while Ahmadu Bello stood for the Northerners.
Upper Iweka education is detrimental to your well-being.

When did your forefathers give Awolowo madate to represent you. What happened to your traditional rulers who hand ancestral mandate to represent you, in your own original governance system? Even they never signed any rights away for Awolowo to represent you. But you come here vomiting the crap you swallowed hook line and sinker.

In case you are in doubt, The UN of 1960 considered west Africa as British and French properties. Southern Cameroons gained the right to referendum, because a third country Germany had the same right over them that Britsain was claiming over us. Hence, Britain had no right to merge them with her other properties. Thats why they got referendum, not because they asked Britain, the most genrous enslaver.

Olodo ni e, I already mentioned the referendum. How come the Ibos didn't ask for one?
World war ended in 1945, southern cameroon came under the British rule and was administered together until the cameroon got their referendum and left.
NCNC which Azikiwe led means what?

Aturu nzuzu.
What do you think our fathers were asking for figthing British forces from Aba to Agulu for years. Not merely Referendum, but our freedom, and right to our lands. They did not just ask but also gave their lives fighting British guns.

Who made Azikiwe our leader? Britain. Who made Azikiwe, Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Ransome Kuti independence Fighters same Britain. What did they achieve, a country that Britain concluded on since 1914. Who is decieving who.

Nobody that ever asked Britain for freedom ever got it, talkless of referendum. Not even India. You think India and Pakistan did not known how to live free, until Britain split them along religious lines.

What a wasted Free Education. Least I forget, Mongo Park, (a spy looking for how to loot our resources through river nile) discovered Orimili and named it River Niger. Our fathers who lived for century beside it, did not know what a River is.

You are a complete mor.on, I guess every Nigerian family should have sent a representative to London for the conference. How dammed foolish.
Southern part of Cameroon was at that point jointly administered with Nigeria and they had the option to become part of independent Nigerian but they chose to be with Cameroon.
Ibos could at this point opt to secede from Nigeria but they didn't.
This is the whole truth, you badly educated, half baked historian.
Why did Azikiwe reject the secession clause if Ibos like their independence so much?

Hello stuupiid, you just finished yourself with your southern cameroon analogy.
How did southern cameroon decide,
They were given a UN referendum. They made their choice using democratic instruments of freedom.
Why did they get this right. Because the original occupiers of there land had just been defeated in the second world war. Germany did not care, and supported their freedom bid at UN. Britain, a UN security council member does not allow you any say in their ocuupied territories which they term colonization to make it sound better.

Educate yourself.

Exactly, so those who consider themselves Biafrans were already part of Nigeria long before the conference
Not those who consider themselves Nigerians, rather those that Britain considered to be part of the Nigger Area.
Stop being decieved that Nigeria is a reference to River Niger. It is simply coined from the most derogatory reference to slavery known to the world.

Nigger Land, Nigger Area, Nigeria

Are you serious? There's no country called Biafra recognized by Nigeria. The old eastern region was recognized by the Nigerian government because they chose on their own free will to be part of Nigeria. If you are trying to play on semantics.
Biafra did not exist as far as Nigeria is concerned. Only the old eastern region.

Biafra is a reference to the people on the lands of the Bight of Biafra, which for Nigerias lies is now wrongly called Bight of Benin. This is our first multi ethnic identification to the mordern world and it predates both Nigeria and British Occupation. Before Biafra, their was our Identity as Eboes. We never asked Britain to create Nigeria, we were forced as an occupied territory under the muzzles of guns to associate with people we have vast cultural dissimilarities to as Nigeria. And since 1963, we have been saying in a world were freedom is celebrated, that we do not want anything to do with an experimental failed called Nigeria.
