udatso: Dangote is not the only cement producer in Nigeria. He did exact same thing happening to him to Ibeto, with NigerCem in Ebonyi state through the former Governor Elechi Amadi. Niger Cem is still wasting away. He bought predatory shares of Unicem in Calabar, with otherworldly plans, and divested when Unicem was not much threat to him. Some others, that might include him did exact same thing with Anambra Kogi boarders dispute to prevent the actualization of the modular refinery planned by H.E Peter Obi. Remember those hired gunmen that went on rampage shooting. This is only a form of karma paying back. The fact that the sale is not legal means he has lost that plant already, depending on when the right person sits in Aso Rock. |

Story, If kogi people open the plant and block the roads nko? Move all dilapidated cars in kogi state to obajana. Set up picketing groups to shoot randomly and turn the place into a war zone. They will draft dodiers in, but no truck will move. Alternatively, the state Government can quickly pass a law impossing a special tax on all cement (dangote) trucks for environmental degradation, with outrageous amount per truck(1,000,000). Setup a task force on every exit to legally detain the truck. That will bring him to the negotiation table fast. 8 Likes 1 Share |

finishmatter: You are obviously not aware of the full scale of conflict. Note: 1. Russia has no interest in Kyiv or Kharkhiv. They attacked these places to spread out Ukraine troops and take the areas they have annexed. 2. Why is Russia not showing her full might and crushing ukraine. Because, while they fight Ukraine, they must maintain readiness to face US or NATO. Thats the real reason why US is giving weapons to Ukraine. If Russia does not balance her act and depletes her weapons stock. You will see the US and Nato suddenly directly involved, apart from their fear of nuclear weapons. 3. Russia is still not under full mobilization. Putin has resisted this, US is trying hard to get the whole country in full scale war. Hoping for political cracks. 3 Likes |
Education / Re: Appeal Court Orders ASUU To Call Off Strike by GerogeI(m): 6:51pm On Oct 07, 2022 |
JJuanMiguel: Labour disputes are never settled in court. Simply because the court cannot bar unions from protest through strike. If the court orders the call of of one strike, it will be obeyed. However a different strike with new demands will begin. All these gimmicks have happened before under Babangida, Abacha and Obj. Ngige is only reinventing the wheel, which we know does not kill ASUU strikes. A labourer is entitled to fair wage for his labour, and has every right to negotiate for it. The FG also has the right to sack all ASUU members, only we know they cannot recruit new ones because they do not exist. Minimum Qualification for lecturing is a PhD according to NUC. Did Buhari not know when he devalued naira from 240 to 700 per usd in exchange for loans to build railway to Niger Republic that the workers wages will become meaningless? How can a Prof., an erudite scholar of 20 years be earning N400,000 , about 600 usd per month, but an aid to Buhari earns N800,000 as basic. A mere seat warmer in the senate goes home withmore than N30m every month, and you say ASUU is your national problem. You that is arguing just because you want to finish school. You do not realise that your own future is at stake. When you finish you get a job paying 30k per month when 1 usd is 700. How will you function without stealing wherever you are. How will you an employer cope with workers who steal everything in site due to your poor pay, since your customers have low purchasing power as Govt. has devalued their earnings to get foriegn loans at their expense. Revaluing workers wages in Nigeria always starts with ASUU, after them teachers will rise up next. Blame the economically daft debt ridden govt. and CBN governor. Things must balance out, its simple law of demand and supply. 2 Likes |

You guys are just being naive. FG cannot resolve industrial issue by court. ASUU can call of the strike technically this week, and start a new strike with new demands next week. Its just technicality to avoid court contempt since the cort has become partisan. 1 Like |

Helpout12345: Yes, witnesses, but you have not factored going to jail before you finish calling your witness to even qualify for dna test. The same evidence you submitted will be used to counter sue you for Adultery in a lower court for faster judgment. Then you head to jail. Whether you survive two years in jail to continue is another issue. That woman you are tormenting could very well pay someone for your life in jail and to be free of you. |

StainlessCup:That is exactly how Igbo culture works. If you do not pay bride price as a sign of marriage. The child is not yours even if heaven falls. Go ask your elders. Thats why you should be careful getting women pregnant. Cause traditionally, your only way out is to find a way to marry the woman. |

cliqtips: You are confusing your emotions with western values. In Igboland, there is nothing like a bastard. Human life is well valued. Even if you puck a child from the street and call him son. The society regards him as your son irresedctive. In our African value susytem, a father is not just a man that sired a child, but a man that raised a child. From the the cgilds perspective, a father is the man you are trancending in his stead. Stop confusing it with crappy religious morality and impractical emotions |

Helpout12345: No, she will end up denying in order to save herself from jail and her family. Find any precedence in Nigeria where a man successfully claimed parternity in court by dna. I have not heard of a precedence. You can only have a chance if the woman is at least on your side. If she has other kids, she has plenty of reasons not to be on your side. |

jimmychang: You are naive. This thing is more common than you think. A lot of men have kids they know are not theirs. They consider the impact on the rest of their children. For some its their licence to cheat as much as they want, the wife keeps the home irrespective and is the begging party. For others , every child is a blessing. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Helpout12345: You can talk about it two years later. A lot can happen in prison. Lets me ask you, will you go to Nigerian jail for two years to claim another mans raised child, knowing fully well how easy it is to get you offed while in prison. Especially since you are threatening the existence of his family, and already slept with his wife? Technically yes, practically no. The worst you will do is convince the wife to breakup. But thats hard, she has other kids to think about. Or you wait for the kid to grow up, and introduce yourself. By then you are already a visitor. 1 Like |

Helpout12345: He can not. The first battle is even getting access to the child for dna test. Stolen dna test is not admissible in court. Secondly, the penal code purnishes adultery, irrespective of north or south. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/07/adultery-crime-liable-to-2-years-imprisonment-%E2%80%95-police/amp/ Merely asking to do DNA test on another mans child is admitting adultery, and can send you to jail. Only the wife can start that process and make that claim, she too could go to jail too. |

KINGinVAHALA: The child belongs to the mothers father, and will take his name and have rights in his properties. In Igbo culture, there is no provision for you to claim any child you sired, except you married the mother. There are no bastards, they do not exist because paternity is not by blood. In fact, a common practice in olden times, is that daughters from families with out male children, can decide to get pregnant and give birth to a son that will survive their father. Some will still get married later and leave for their husbsnds house. Leaving the son behind to answer their fathers name. Not done anymore, the trend shifted to such girls marrying a wife for their fathers. Also, an infertile woman can marry a wife to get pregnant on their behalf. Even a diety can get a wife, thats the Origin of OSU, untouchable children of deities( they were avoided not as second class citizens, but because people feared angering their deity father by mistakenly treating them bad or offending them). Who gets these women pregnant, randy men of the village, who can never claim the children. 1 Like |

KINGinVAHALA: Lol I hope you know there is a law punishing Adultery by upto 2 years imprisonment. The man will never approach any court and admit to sleeping with a married woman. He will first go to jail, before he gets the child. Ask a lawyer. Thats why he will forever live in pains. |
Family / Re: Unfortunately I Am Not The Father Of My Fourth Child by GerogeI(m): 10:40pm On Sep 29, 2022 |
Johnnyjohnnyman: Let me tell you this. In Igbo culture, paternity is not by blood. Any child born under your house while a woman is still married to you is yours. Children are viewed as wealth. You should have left the dna thing since you know she cheated. However, now you know, if you know you cannot treat the child as you would your own, then let them go. But know its a win for the man she cheated with. He gets a child, gets your wife. You loose your wife, your children loose a home with both parents. But frankly, if you can, keep your child. The real father will see the child in your house, know its his, and can do absolutely nothing about it. That is your power, and you gain a child. Your children gets both parents. He will forever be peeping at you. Hoping on hope that your family breaks apart. Never discuss or agree that the child is not yours. Your wife will forever live in fear of your finding out. That is your power over that marriage, to control her and your home. Never discuss it with her as people suggest, but a few times hint light heartedly that the child does not look like anyone in your family. The bible says children are like arrows, Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. Make sure the child carries your name everywhere and in everything. Be more passionate about being her father, and show your are ready to fight anyone who suggests otherwise. 5 Likes |

See how this man is riding on Obi's back to validate enourmous inconsistencies about his benefactor. Even, when he finished , he could not go without throwing a stone, so he claims Obi has a poor command of English, by whose standard? He tries to create an Analogy, with Obi's well earned degree certificate, to Atiku's recently procured Master's degree certificate for which having no degree qualification he is not even qualified for admission. A master is an expert, you cannot become an expert in an area due to how long you have been on earth. If that was the case, my late grandfather who never had the opportunity to finish primary school, should be a Professor Emeritus. Then he goes on to embelish more about Tinubu |
Education / Re: ASUU Appeals Ruling, Says FG Has Declared War by GerogeI(m): 3:46pm On Sep 23, 2022 |
Softmirror: I would have agreed with you. Except you saying ASUU is the problem. No, the problem is over centralization, as is with most things in the country. Nigeria has outgrown the stage where Federal Govt. Is craddling tertiary education. Yes, Govt. Needs to sponsor, subsidize, and support education. But they need to do it indirectly, through grants, matching funds for research and students loan. University funding are not transparent because they are being managed by politicians. All VC are installed by politicians, who indirectly embezzle the funds that ASUU got from strikes. I still remeber the case a university, when govt. released funds for rehabilitation of school after ASUU strike, the VC used the money to paint everything on campus greenwhite green. How does that add value to learning or is it just for accounting purpose. Do you blame ASUU for what Govt. Appointees do with University funds. More recently, you have the accountant general taking charge of salaries via IPPIS, paying salaries directly and taking away ghost workers from VC. VCs started making money by selling lecturing jobs for N2.5m. They no longer report retiring people, they just sell the position. If You pay you get your appointment letter. So how can government afford to pay good salary, when the workforce is bloated with many unqualified idle staff. But do you blame ASUU for employment sold by VCs, a govt. Appointee. The VC is not answerable to any one. The people at Abuja are too busy to care what they are doing with funds. ASUU members are merely workers, do you blame them for demanding a reasonable reward for their work? The right thing is the each University should be run like a private organisation, with cost and benefit balance. Their funding should come from students, the students who pay the lecturers should be the one determing the level of performance they desire from schools. The Govt. Should simply divert the billions used in funding universities into easy student loans. Each university will then compete in attracting both students and lecturers, they will increase fees, but if your fee does not match your training, students will transfer to other reasonable schools. That will end ASUU strike once and for all. Lecturers will negotiate their salaries individually with their employers, based on the academic and research worth to the university. You can't pay a lecture that sits in class room same thing as a lecturer that attracts annual research grant of 100m from private sector. |

Softmirror: What Buhari is doing with Academics is a carryover from military era. At some point, both Babangida and Abacha tried to sack all Academic staff and recruit new people. They could not. Find out more about Prof. ASOBIE of ASUU. Even if the govt. Breaks this current strike, it will be started again after a semester or session. There is no way the highest academic position will be earning less than 1000$ in a month and they are not under paid. A prof. Can't even afford plane tickets to attend an international conference in a month. The best thing is to come to a reasonable solution that will placate both sides, or for long term privatize the federal universities to established NGOs and socio cultural and non profit organisation. And fund education through students loans as is done in sane climes. |

Anigreat: Strike is equivalent to resignation. The federal govt should employvnew staff if they can. Both Babangida and Abacha tried to and could not. You cannot replace Academics in bulk. Meanwhile while on strike, the best of the academics are leaving the country. When you finish with the strike, you will be left with the thirdclass products who went to upgrade with a masters degree. 42 Likes 3 Shares |

Am an only son among more girls than you have, so i get all the pampering, but saying they spoilt you is an overstatment. If this is about casual sex, bros calm down. The ladies will eventually be falling over themselves for you. You are a ready made man. Stop envying people for the very thing that will be their downfall. Do you know how many young men are derailed by unplanned pregnancies, stds and investment in females. Masturbation is a normal cycle of male sexuality, any male that is truthful to you, will tell you they masturbated around your age. Your personality is not just due to nuture, but nature as well. Many people are are timid and shy at your age. As your brain develops more grey matter, you will be more outspoken and stop worrying about it. My advice to you is this. Be grateful to your parents for what they have offered you. Life is actually very hard for many people. Utilize the leverage and trouble free life your parents gave you to rise above your peers. Stop thinking being streetwise pays better or gives you more abilities. Focus on a formal professional career, and stop looking for business at this age. You do not have the experience for a worthwhile business. Neither do your friends. All they are doing is merely post study hustle, and that maybe because they have deprndents. You do not, so do not waste time on money ventures thst will not add much to your life. Use your parents connections to rise in a formal profession before thinking about using the resources they have gathered for you for worthy business. Buying and selling is the smallest and most unsustainable business. You do not need therapy, there is nothing wrong with you. Ever intelligent young man asks same question you are asking. How to connect with people, how to make a living, and what to become? What did you study in Univ., did you not learn anything worth a job from your study? |

This is rather alarming. Banks that failed 20 to 30 years ago. Its now you are giving people just 21 days to make a claim. Mind you, 1 naira 30 years ago is not 1 naira today. So what is the official inflation rate for calculating the claims. 1 naira 30 years ago at 10% inflation is about 17.5 naira. At 15%, which is mire realistic, is about 66 naira. 100 naira then is about 6600 now. 10000 then is 660,000. now 2 Likes |
