And I was once like you.
This problem is not new, read the Old Testament and the New Testament, no be today Man dey misbehave dey hide under the umbrella of the Lord😅But you love Math and when you realize Mathematics is the language of Logic and the Universe, you begin to see things in Math and Science that make you understand, there is a greater power. I believe there is a greater being, but I don't like how most of our Christians behave/do things. They tend to be very hypocritical, dishonest and apply at various stages forms of diabolism/Ogboni beliefs. If someone is into diabolism or Ogbonic, the person should stick to it rather than climb the altar to preach mumbo-jumbo; people should practice what they preach and preach what they practice. Their A must be A, not B. Changing the goalpost in the middle of the game annoys me. Lastly, they should be honest. After living with people who don't practice any form of Abrahamic religions, I have come to realise that one does not have to be religious to be a good person. So, I think it is a function of our traditional cultures and how many infuse it with religion. I will stop here as I have many grievances. |

I have come to think of it as Nigerians do not value efficiency / time. Average Nigerian will opt for the difficult or time consuming way to execute a task because look at hard working me. People will queue for 45 minutes to buy 10 litres 739 fuel at Mrs, sometimes waiting for the station to open, when same fuel is being sold at other stations for 800. 45 minutes or more to save less than 1k.
As to the poundo being different, I cannot remember any particular difference in taste, but maybe that's just me. Would prefer to buy than have the missus stress herself out pounding yam. Is this where you got the MRS reference?: https://x.com/docneto/status/2011341272355578241?s=20From the CS, it is said that MRS' meter isn't tampered with and the fuel quality is high. So, those could be the reasons. Nonetheless, I agree with the time value reference. |

I've seen and heard stuff happen in so many churches, someone from MFM said the worst things happened was that people joined the church and became Pastors just to deceive and tempt others, the devil is so very hardworking, e no dey sleep. The tricks aren't new but he's got a strong work ethic and humans are so frail mentally. May God protect us.

Joynkemakonam: Please , I am new here . I have plans to move to Japan via study route. I am in my early 30s, I have HND in accountancy, I don't know which degree I should go for(maybe post graduate studies), because I contacted some schools and they do not accept my qualification for a master's degree. I would also want my family to join me in the long run. I don't think many Japanese universities understand the concept of HND from a Nigerian perspective compared to British and American universities. You will have to explain in simple English what your degree means and preferably comparing it to a Japanese counterpart. Sorry, but I don't know what the Japanese version of HND is. After the explanation or no explanation at all, I recommend the research student pathway aka Kenkyusei, which is for six months. Do this for six months, be very good at it and seek admission into a Master's degree program. But then, that profession prefers certification rather than academic degrees. So, why not pursue ICAN and advance your career? Because, like it or not, you will need to possess the Japanese equivalent of ICAN to get a job here (I have seen it as something Nissho Bookeeping level this and that). |

To the present, can they afford a washing machine? If yes, they should buy and that would resolve the challenge. When I read topics like this, I am amused. I still don't understand why a man expects his wife to do his laundry and why a wife agrees to such. Well, humans are different, so people will behave differently. It is Nigeria, and a poor country, for a reason. The majority of Nigerians do not have money. |

Lamanii22: Hello famlanders! So a friend told me her husband is complaining that she doesn’t wash his clothes, so my question is that should a man be considerate enough to give his clothes to dry cleaners instead or it’s a must for the woman to do that? Here’s my own story: I watched my mom washed my dad’s clothes til my old man passed, I tried to do the same with my husband’s clothes but he complained that I put too much pressure on his clothes lol 😂 that he would do his laundry by himself… imho if there are kids involved already, the husband should be kind enough to do his own laundry then the wife can wash her own clothes as well as the kids’ thank you. It depends on the individual. I washed my dad's easy clothes, and he handed the bulky wears to the dry cleaners. However, I do not like anyone in the house to wash my clothes unless I am extremely ill for a long time, and even then, I wash my innerwear myself. My innerwear is never outsourced. P.S. Washing myself = using the washing machine. |

GloriousGbola: For reasons I am not really sure washing machines have gone mainstream like that. When I was younger we had one and we were mocked for being aje butter for not washing clothes by hand. You know the average Nigerian still celebrates stressful manual labour and difficulty over ease. Like people who will insist on pounding yam when you can simply buy poundo yam.
It is what it is. For this, a notable agrobusinessman said the poundo does not contain enough yam flour, as sourcing yams is hard due to it being seasonal. As a result, they add other additives to make it look "real" so they break even. I have never eaten poundo yam, but I can imagine actual pounded yam being more nutritious than the former. Just that to maintain lifestyles in today's world, one needs to have money. Unfortunately, Nigeria is a poor country. The majority of Nigerians don't use a washing machine not because they don't like it, but because they don't have the money. |

emmaodet: I am more worried with Russia and China actions. Their actions are docile and too passive. I can't just imagine China or Russia thinking of attacking London to change their political system to align with China or Russia own without other allies rallying round them, threatening to attack China back and US threatening to jump in and put booths on ground if such happens. It is a matter of national security. Here we are, and all they will do is to supply Iran weapons and not talking tough to put boots on ground if US gets involved. They will just sit back and watch while Iran fights them off. No matter how strong a country is, if you keep attacking and attacking, sooner or later they will fall. Syria is a good example. It fought these demons for years until assad got tired and his men already bought and Syria fell. If Iran escapes this, I am not guaranteed they will escape the 3,4,5 or 6th own before they fall apart. Teams fear attacking teams more than defensive teams and offensive teams have won more champions League than defensive teams. The fulanis we know today became strong because they are always offensive. All the way from Gambia down to Cameroon. It is not like Iran is enemy territory, so why is it difficult to have men on the ground in Iran? Throughout yesterday, I was asking myself: what stops China from sending 10000 men to be stationed in Iran? They have the men, and Iran will gladly accept the offer. The best form of defence is continuous attack. The docility is shocking and annoying. Sometimes, I wonder if it is juju and what kind of juju the White man has that the Russians and Chinese don't possess. It really amazes me everytime I think of it. |

The first apartment I stayed in as an undergraduate was leased from them, so we all stayed in the same compound. His family controlled the motorpark that used to be located right at the major junction of my school. He worked there as a revenue collector. I noticed something: some mornings he'd go out to work like a civil human being then return a different person: tattered clothes, sometimes bruises and so on. One time I was forced to ask him and I said, guy you go comot with better clothes, come back with tattered ones or a change of dressing, wetin dey happen? I'll never forget his response: my man, sometimes I go dey my own for park person go carry fight come my side - make I no fight? For him that was his means of securing his income and future. America don carry fight reach Panda side, if Panda likes make him no fight! Honestly, this is an important post which the Chinese should adhere to. From nowhere comes a new tariff simply because you trade with Iran. Should Iran fall, to me, it is finished o. The ultimate aim will be to break up China into many countries, just as they did years ago. Whether Russia and China will sit and allow Iran fall after Syria and Venezuela will be shocking to me because after Iran, they are the next targets. |

Mikasaobi: The comment said Trump wants regime change in Venezuela because of heavy crude for diesel. Not true, Trump 1.0 sanctioned Venezuela and started buying heavy oil from Russia. Biden placed sanctions on Russia and gave waivers for Venezuela oil. So the USA was already buying the oil trump wants and Venezuela didn’t mind selling more. Russian-Ukraine war started under Biden, so Trump 1.0 does not come in. This is why I said I don’t understand operation Uber air and the kidnapping. Venezuela is willing to do business with Trump, they are not strategic allies of Russia or china, they just sold their oil at a discount to China. All the killings and bombing were unprovoked and unnecessary. I agree with the "killings are not necessary". And this is where Emmadoe.t was correct in that the US wants to completely control the western hemisphere and put up a show of strength to adversaries. I implore commentators to read or skim through the latest military strategy from the Department of War DefenseHere: https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/2025-National-Security-Strategy.pdfSome say they need Venezuela reserves to control oil prices in case of war with Iran, I don’t know, maybe it’s true. Including strikes on Russian oil facilities. Both of which will affect China's oil supplies. How the trio intend to cope or plan is what I don't know. |

Northsouth: So sex wey woman and man dey both enjoy should be sold out by the woman to the man? Yes, it has to be sold because of the excessive demand for sex by men. The demand outstrips the supply. Another reason why it should be sold is that in a prudish society as ours, women are criticised for being sexually expressive and liberal. So, if a woman must express her sexual feminity, it makes she puts a price on it. Almost every woman gets called "ashawo" for no justifiable reason, so it is better to be called one and earn something out it. Women enjoy sex, but they don't enjoy having sex with different men. What they enjoy from different men is the money, not the sex. demand and supply? So na man dey demand am? Una wey be women no like sex and no dey demand for am abi. Men have the hormone testosterones which contributes to our ability to produce sperm and every healthy man gets a erection or urge to have sex every day. That urge to ejaculate every day propels the demand for sex as women are the only source of ejaculating naturally. So, men seek for sex way more than women. It is simple biology. Hmm... So ladies don't like sex and na Dem dey moan pass. A moan means nothing. Any woman can let out a moan. That does not necessarily mean that she enjoys it. Well I know you know what you're saying, you just defending it as if you don't know. Continue the hook up, at least you and I both know say na women Dem dey carry do ritual pass. We should condemn ritual killings regardless of the gender involved, as there are women who don't engage in hookup yet are killed recklessly. A woman who gets killed in a one-chance incident could be accused of engaging in hookup. Murder is a crime, hookup isn't. You can dislike hookup for all you want, but it is wrong to justify killing people, in this case women, because of it. |

Venezuela's oil exports to China amounted to roughly 746,000 barrels of oil per day And when the govt in Iran falls, what happens? Mikasaobi: What taco doesn’t know is the USA is already the top oil producer. Shale oil is light crude which is profitable for refining gasoline. It has low diesel yields so refineries don’t use it for diesel. Shale oil is sufficient for all local needs of gasoline. They just need Venezuela heavy oil for ONLY diesel fuel. It’s not very profitable to use heavy oil for gasoline production, all Venezuela reserves are heavy oil.
Taco just killed innocent civilians for nothing, I blame the 🤡🤡 cheering him on. I read a comment on the FT article about the invasion of Venezuela and found it very interesting. Here it is: Trump needs regime change asap in Venezula as you need heavy sour crude to make diesel. 80% of it is in Iran, Venezuela, Russia and Canada. The Canadian supply is on the other side of the country from the US gulf refineries. The US runs on diesel. Until he locks in this supply Trump is pretty powerless against the Russians as he needs their oil.
Budanov, a CIA guy has just replaced Yermak for the number two job in Ukraine. Once the US gets the Venezuelan oil the Ukrainian special services will go after Russian refineries and ships hard He gets a reply asking what about the general rise in oil if Russian facilities are affected, and here was the reply: Precisely because any disruption to Russian oil supply would cause diesel prices to spike and spell economic disaster for the US.Because of this Putin is somebody Trump is unable to say no to - if Trump gets the Venezuelan oil this changed overnight. Link: https://archive.md/AV6kS
Now, protests in Iran and Trump is posturing for a military intervention. If for any reason, Iran falls, the US-led West has won it. |
