Undoubtedly one of Cramjones' finest post, ever, on NL.
The slave labour's got to stop. We are in our own country for Chrissakes!
Those on contract shouldn't earn less than 80% of what their full-time counterparts earn. And they should be entitled to annual leave and leave bonuses, have provision made for their health insurance by the company (or the outsourcing coy/agent) as long as the employee is a staff there, and so on.
It's time we actualise that CHANGE!!! |

The IMF Trojan Horse (apologies to Niyi Osundare) is honoured by one of the institutions that believe in the force-it-down-their-throats approach as the only way to ascertain economic growth and all-round development. I mean how on earth can they say this woman "battl(ed) widespread government corruption and creat(ed) greater fiscal transparency and discipline" with the evidence on ground, which points to the contrary?
I pray GMB doesn't follow this uninspiring pattern of appointing Tokunbo economists as the Minister of Finance. Enough of comedies! |

What happened to Sansa was so sad. If Theon feels any remorse or responsibility for what's befallen Sansa, as seems evident with the look on his face when Ramsay was doing his thing, he should start by letting her know that her two brothers are (probably) still alive. The mere knowledge of this may be comfort for her in this troubling times.
The sweet summer child - Sansa - had another taste of winter. Sooo heartbreaking. Life isn't fair, is it? |

It's an integral part of our culture. Some take it to the extreme though, which shouldn't be so. Besides, OP, if I were you I'd keep on ignoring that attention-seeker who demand that you must greet her every time, whether I have something else on my mind or not. |

So he grew up a pako boy. What's with the Tokunbo accent then?
Wouldn't say he didn't perform exceptionally well, given everything the environment. But the hype almost overshadowed his achievements. He'd be reeling out statistics like say no be the same country we dey.
Still, he was unarguably the best minister in GEJ cabinet. |

MrsChima: I don't think that it's an issue to take husband's surname and keep maiden name. It won't change anything if you do and your marriage shouldn't suffer because of it.
Men likes to feel in power and important so they requires women to take on their name. I don't see women going around shouting "take my father's name" so why are the men shouting?
There are more important things to worry about than surname. It won't strengthen or kill your marriage. . Stupidity will!
A man told me that he left his wife because she didn't take his surname and felt she didn't love him so. People nowadays don't have a clue what marriage is and why it was created in the first place! oneeast: Ikemba Nnewi was the first graduate to join the NA. He was the first African to attend the prestigious Oxford University.
Ikemba shall be remembered forever for being among the greatest Africans. What he saw 40yrs ago is what people are crying about today. He fought a just war to send a message to the oppressors. UN has seen through what he fought for and have invited Biafran leaders.
Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu the man that saw tomorrow. How can you say Ojukwu was the first African to attend Oxford University? Anyway, everyone is a professor in history online nowadays. |

The same Muazu that lost woefully in his Senatorial bid in 2007 despite being the incumbent Governor of Bauchi State?
The same Muazu that never made effort to campaign nor checkmate almajiri kids voting in Bauchi State and the NW?
The same Muazu that deceived many by saying that PDP won his LG in the March 28 poll only for the PDP to lose woefully?
The same Muazu that has been making ridiculous statement ever since?

Blastfinito: If I know what lies after death, I would have committed suicide. I sweated before obtaining my B.Tech. by doing menial jobs. Now after NYSC, I can't find a meaningful job. I'm currently teaching 7 subjects in a secondary sch earning 10k per month. I live with a relative and feed with that meagre salary. The major problem now is that I always fall sick. I have medical history of typhoid but after taking powerful antibiotics that doctors often recomend for me, there is still no improvement. I've taken HIV test many times with negative results. From my observation as a biotechnology student, what ravage my immune system might be chronic imflamatory bowel disease and thyrotoxicosis(confirmed in a test but can't pursue treatment). Dt IBD may require surgery. I summarily dwell on herbs. I can no longer try menial jobs that can fetch me quick money in those sch days due the weakness of my body. My friends that learnt trade or workmanship are making jest of me cos they are making it big. There is nothing you can tell me about religion that won't fall on deaf ears. Because I know the scriptures up and down. I even pastored a Redeemed Church branch during my NYSC days. And there I was thinking that earning N10,500 monthly for teaching 3 subjects in a secondary school was a harsh predicament. It was indeed harsh though. Hopefully the situation will change in the nearest future and graduates of our tertiary institutions will be able to have their desired career. |
