Mehn!!! Nnkan n be! |
See pretty women. But then, look at the slight picture we get of where they are seated. It's the same elite. The poor will keep getting angry and frustrated, the rich will be displaying their wealth, with smiles. |
macof:You didn't have that information and you reached a conclusion, just like that! |
OP, just tell them you are an atheist. Simple! And if questions are asked, reply logically and intelligently. In the end, I tell you, no one cares. Except maybe the funny ones! Had this encounter with this theist two weeks ago. We were just discussing and he mentioned "God" and when it was my turn to speak, I was dismissive of the god. He inquired if I was a xtian. I said no. Muslim? No. Freethinker? Said yes. Then he went on about philosophers and all that. Told him I'm not a philosopher and that philosophy isn't a subject I really enjoy. Too complicated for me, I said. Then what are you? Told him I'm an atheist. He opened his mouth for a few seconds, closed it, said some blah blah blah and concluded by saying he's been where I am before and that God will bring me back to His path and all that. Replied by telling him he's never been in my shoes; that I'm not some theist who wondered what dress Mary was wearing when the angel visited her to deliver the message and believe that was enough to qualify as intellectual curiosity or questioning a belief, whichever way one sees it. Told him I've been an atheist for more than eight years. He said something about still believing that God ... blah blah blah. Religious outings can be so boring! Even the debates are nowadays. |
macof:How recent? |
macof:If we are to follow your analogy now, those with Fulani origins in the states of the North-West are Hausas today. Abi? And how does this your analogy apply to the Hausas in Kogi? Are they Igala today? |
macof:So you mean to tell me there are no Hausa indigenes of Kwara and Kogi? You haven't met an Hausa (wo)man from any of these two states? That you haven't been there or that you haven't met someone form there who is Hausa doesn't mean there aren't any. Se o ye? |
macof:Hausas and Yorubas live together as indigenes in Kwara and Kogi too. That is a fact. Can't say about Oyo though. And I think the same applies in Edo sef. |
Why acquire a company when you won't nourish it? Since 2005... Chai! |
So Ali Ndume got played? ![]() |
Bamz:Prosaic babble. |
sage1000:My sole prayer is that I hope GRRM doesn't kill off some interesting characters, like Shireen & Ser Barristan, in subsequent books just to singularize the events with the developments on the show. BTW, I was soooo gutted to see Shireen go out that way. It was just sooo cruel. It's maybe nice for the development of the tv-story sha, seeing as it brought about a twist and all that, though at the cost of what remains of Stannis' humanity. Loved that look on Tyrion's face when he saw Drogon come to the rescue. It's priceless. |
luxanne:Sam, Hodor and Reek still have their roles to play in the series. I doubt D & D will even contemplate killing them. |
Good for her. Let her go and spend some quality time in jail. |
I like this. ![]() |
Lolz. This made me laugh. But jokes apart, if well-managed, this is a good development. Besides, as soon as the trainees arrive from training, I hope the government will provide them with credit facilities and the enabling environment to ply their trade. Not the government making public servants of them again o, Oshoko! You don't want another failed policy on your hands. Papambari re ni pe, there goes the Fountain of Knowledge! Fayose should better leave the new slogan alone and let history be history. Ndi Aba and Ndi Onitsha, Ndi Ekiti are coming to learn. Teach them well. |
jaybee3:It was N600m under Fayemi. Can't say what the exact figure is now though. |
If... Girl - Aduke (My mom's name) Boy - Undecided* |
And the same owner of AIT/Raypower was busy organising parties for GEJ with millions of naira, when his workers were working without pay. What happened to the millions the station(s) made from airing the hate adverts and documentaries against PMB and BAT? |
Yeye story. |
Spent two hours on a queue trying to get mine last week and was later told to check back for the BVN this week after all the standing. I hope they extend the deadline. |
If having a PhD is what makes one a good leader, GEJ will be the best ever in our history, but look around, the reverse is the case. Under the very watch of the IMF Trojan Horse (aka NOI) the economy is crumbling and a "reputable" educational institution still deems it fit to award her an honorary doctorate for her troubles, citing lies as the reasons for such... How did we get here? |
Isn't he supposed to be at Fayose Royal Hospital? What's he doing with the British PM? Or is Mr. Cameron a patient at the hospital too? |
Proudly African! |
Oluwa o! Oga Jona (and his ilks), this is on your head o. You failed us! You're no hero!! |
Oga Jonah and his last minute "appointments"! |
Oshio Baba, wetin consign us? Besides if you wanna publicize what happened behind closed doors, why not show us the evidence? Like a video of you and your omalicha nwa doing da thang and ...? ![]() |
Way to go! |
