In my opinion...Ice Prince is not excellent but very okay in my book, to me he's far better to the likes of M.I. whose lyrics are mostly piles of alliteration, Ice Prince flows more better that M.I. who I don't know why people rave over. I can't believe why some responders are saying French Montana is whack, if FM is really whack I wonder what y'all say about 2Chainz? To say the truth, the best M.C. so far in Nigeria is Ice Prince...why's because he balances good yankee-type lyrics with nice beats whereas the likes of Vector, Terry The Rapman and Phyno
FamilyRe: Elderly People's Curse And Blessing: Superstion Or Fact? by ghostofsparta(m): 2:08am On Aug 03, 2014
haulagehandlers: I travel a lot by road, due to the nature of my job. Some years back,my truck developed a mechanical fault in a small village at ondo,i was a witness to an elderly man place a curse on an eagle that carried his newly hatched chick. He said,"before the sun would set you would be ridiculed and dragged around the town by little children". I just smiled and thought the man was joking or that some of his screws are not tight. Later that evening right in front of the mans house kids where having a game of football and my crew and i were passing time by watching them when lo and behold an eagle fell from the sky, children rushed it and before you could say ebola, they tied a rope round the leg and dragged the poor bird round untill it died. I know that such a curse is not ordinary,i only narrate so that we should be very wary of some of this old folks.
Perhaps he was testing his newly acquired afose which I personally believe if I'm to believe Jesus truly existed, would be as an African who used a variant of Afose or Olugbohun when he cursed a tree never to produce a edible fruit which isn't really different from what the folk in Ondo did and all those who know to test their 'statement-to-command' converter usually test it on a tree, any one here who knows one or two thing about ancient Yoruba believe system of Ifa and Isegun should know what I'm pointing at. Many so-called miracle performing pastors and afas furtively make use of this particular Yoruba Advanced Science else why don.t we ever hear of miracle performers from Europe, America and the middle east where these Abrahamic religions originated from, for those who have claimed have been debunked by Randi and the likes as fraud in the case of Pastor Peter Popof and Psychic Sally Morgan if I'm correct. This and my previous post up there remain purely my opinion drawn from continual researches and publications I've read including the The American Afrocentric Bible as I do not force my point on anyone who feels to disagree like strictlymi and VLadipo who may reply me as needing to give my life to Christ else I am headed for Hell since they believe only a demonic possessed one write things as I write. I write to educate others who are open-minded enough to learn from another angle what was it our ancestors were really into aside from the misconceptions.
FamilyRe: Elderly People's Curse And Blessing: Superstion Or Fact? by ghostofsparta(m):
Like someone already said.....it's depends on the circumstances to which the curse or blessing is placed on the person. The circumstance may range from an aggrieved dying elder uttering the curse which usually must involve a deserving offender(s) to an aged folk who knows the inevitable is knocking and decides to bless whoever he/she feels joy towards with protection or prosperity etc.

However, regardless of an elderly person lay dying to be doing this, it is a fact that anyone in possession of any variant of a partucular type of the Yoruba Advanced Sciences erroneously known as juju which I dubbed 'statement-to-command converter' in the likes of the Mayehun, Afose and Olugbohun...a blessing or curse can be pronounced on someone or something which will instantly take effect.

I want to use this opportunity to say that 90% of what those Hollywood film-makers produce as fiction in respect to make-believe supernatural are actually possible through the application of various kinds of Yoruba Advanced Sciences erroneously known as juju for instance in the movie 'PUSH' where certain people has the abilty to push thoughts of will into a target's mind but unknown to the film writter that's exactly what Mayehun and Afose does but with a different method and mechanism. In the sci-fi psycho-thriller 'Event Horizon' where one of the crew leader who before turning mad and villainous by the conscious space shuttle, was explaining to others in theoretical physics of how possible it is to cut distance and time if somehow point A can be instantly joined to point B which he demonstrated with a flat paper points to yet unpopular YAS called KANOKO which translates to 'that which fold path' from Ka=fold Ono=path Ko=up/together.

Yet again...I feel compelled to defend that YBP exist and does work but I now find it needless as it won't prove anything here where only texts reigns. However, I personally know for a fact that among YBP specialists, and I mean the genuine ones whom are always very difficult to get/know/meet whose base sometimes can be seen littering around with several among many that were discovered to be ineffectual during rigorous test while the effective ones are sorted and kept away. How much less of some yappies who one way or the other either got hold of how to produce it without knowing not all are DIY kinda things, did it and tested himself with it not knowing tangible ones are not tested with a human subject. Even only certain versions the non-tanglible ones may be tested, regardless of which there are some factors that WILL negate the efficiacy of most YBP which varies from versions to versions. I won't say more than this^ for now.

CultureRe: Did West Africans Develop Cast Iron In Pre-colonial Times? by ghostofsparta(m): 6:17pm On Jul 31, 2014
Kanoro: Sorry if this is the wrong forum category but I couldn't find one more appropriate. Europeans and Asians have been developing cast iron for centuries. Africans definitely had well developed iron technology but when you look at history, European technology was slow to be adopted by Africans. For example, though many African Kingdoms made wide usage of firearms, they still relied HEAVILY on imports to keep their arsenals full. The Japanese on the other hand adopted firearms quickly from Europeans and went on to produce their own local versions as well as improve upon European designs. Did Africans ever produce European weapons locally? If not, why? Did they lack certain technological requirements such as cast iron?
I can't speak for other Africans ethnicities, but I can say that the ancient Yorubas have been casting iron and other metals long before the Europeans and Asians start learning about the properties of metals and nature. See, there still exist among the Yoruba ethnic group today some clans that still possess the esoteric knowledge of how they use bare hands to wrought iron from temperatures that would burn the hardest human skin even at a close distant, if you see it, you will think it's juju, no it's not juju but actually what I call Yoruba Advanced Science. I believe this particular Yoruba esoteric science somehow spread to some indigenous clan living in regions now in the state of Kogi where during their festivities there males initiates are seen melting iron metals with bare hands as a show of African power, when I watched Iron-Man 3 where that villain was doing exactly just that I could recall these Yorubas clan all around Yorubaland referred to as 'ajirotutu' and 'awon alagbede' who can and still do this and that of those in Kogi.

How do you or any of those who said this^ knew of God's thoughts not to be in our ways? Are they telepathic enough to read Yahweh/Allah's thoughts? or they just assume it to be like that? Please do explain because Christians and Muslims throw this around a lot. You religionist says things were God's way and if things doesn't work out...it's God's plan. What confusion!

Why do you religionists always silently endorse the believe in human inequality given your adherence to any of the Abrahamic religions? Isn't you guys that always quote "As human, we are all equal before God". You guys are confused.

VLadipo: Isaiah 55:6-9

6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Found? Why is whoever the LORD is hiding? "call ye upon him while he is near" how is he near? Why isn't he near to protect the then Pope before getting shot by an Arab? Anyway In Ifa believe system, the IRUNMOLEs and or ORISHAS are not hiding or hided, they can always be contactivated because they are ever-available for those who know and have learned their password.

VLadipo: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Just couldn't make sense of the rest ^, as macof said, stop posting Biblical verses to discuss intellectually. Every intellectual mind know they're most of the part senseless. If one of the numerous recondite Ifa passage from a specific Odu is recited for you, you may never comprehend it regardless of how deep you may speak Yoruba, but when it is broken down, Ladipo, you will come to love and appreciate a system of not only divination but that also encompasses all thing under the sun which your Yorubas ancestors have for millions of years perfected.

I like d fact that he's honest, unfortunately that alone will not take him to heaven
According to the Christian Bible God created all things and creatures, including Mammon or whatever that means, right? So if you serve Mammon, hence you serve God, same goes with Baal or WTF that means, because since Baal didn't create himself according to your Bible (John 1:1-3 and Col 1:16), hence those who serve Baal are also serving God, but which God? Is it Yahweh or Allah? Well...that's for another topic, but it should be noted that it this hierarchy of level that the Yoruba Ifa system is also about, Ifa people and all Aborishas don't communicate directly to Olodumare/Eledumare like the way Christians and Muslims Olodumare/Eledumare which is entirely different from Allah/Yahweh in terms of attributes and charactersitics which it lacks, is believed to be unfathomably distant for mortals such that all issues and problem needing solution should be resolved in the various appointed departments presided by any of the 400 IRUNMOLES/ORISHAS whom some peoples who are uneducated in Yorubas cultures and traditional religion have brainwashed to regard as demons, devil, satan, lucifer, mammon, baphomet and other names whose meaning and identification are alienic to our native Yoruba languages and Ifa scientific system.

logica: If indeed you want to learn and not just being sarcastic, then Google what Einstein's Theory of Relativity is about; and of course you will see the Mathematical equations which predict these facts. And yes, they are facts as they have been backed up by experiments long before the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) existed. Of course LHC has been useful in recently proving the existence of the "God Particle" or Higgs Boson which Peter Higgs had predicted.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_dilation
I'm not been sarcastic...believe me. I have read almost everything there is about this theoretical nonsense and still couldn't grasp it. Explain to me how they came accross the knowledge of how matters and their properties will behave in respect to both General Relativity and Special Relativity. I have tried to read to understand M-theory, String Theory, Superstring theory, dimensions, Theory of Everything etc but I get more confused but elated knowing whatever they intend to achieve with all these theoretical jargons juting out of the physicist paradize can be and have already been achieved through YORUBA ADVANCED SCIENCES for instance if you want I can let you in on how to achieve a simple invisibilty shield using component from nature.

This is the extent I can go on this thread unless you provide me a comprehensive breakdown of those theoretical concept from physics.

haibe: This is metaphysics right? Or can it be proven scientifically?
Metaphysics is what a wsestern scholar will reluctantly want to shroud it with. I call it Yoruba Advanced Science under Yoruba Advanced Sciences

logica: If you are indeed a scientist and with sound Mathematical background, you would understand the implications of The Theory of Relativity. The simple implication is, we can never reach the speed of light. It is like the speed limit. And as you approach the speed of light, your mass increases further making it near impossible to reach the speed of light. The implication of the theory is if you can surpass the speed of light, time travel can be achieved. Reaching the speed of light itself is an impossibility today. Not even an electron can reach the speed of light. And about "time slowing down", this has been VERIFIED in actual experiments. It is not just a theory.
So since you believe if a subject approaches or attains the speed of photons, the subject will increase in mass, mmmh interesting but kindly explain to me how they came about this fact, could it be because they've observed paritcles to gain mass when accelerated in Hadron Collider? Explain to me, I want to learn. Also explain to me how so or how will time travel occur if the speed of light is exceeded? Like I said earlier we need to make a clear difference between to travel through time which anyone can do using YAS like I did and no spurious theoretical based supposition occured like aging through time dilation and or everything around slowing down or pausing....the experience was as if the one is shortening time by displacing great distances without even noticing....sort of like moving through time in a non-synchronous manner. Now that is different from the hopping back and forth through time like in a sci-fi time machine travel.

Does time really exist? The ability to transcend beyond the past present or future has been shown since 'immemorial' and may not be limited to heavenly beings.
Tell them o rezy15....TIME DOES NOT REALLY EXIST like a megabyte and temperature don't really exist but were concieved as standard to measure and calculate properties.

I just don't get it...why must we science enthusiasts swallow anything because one Einstein or Newton said it...I mean why can't you or Einstein himself explain or point to us by describing that thing that would pause or slow down everything around us predicated on time as one attain the speed of light? Maybe I'm ignorant or haven't read that widely so as to know if has been illustrated for I am certain no wesrern scientist have time travelled......okay, okay, allright....I don read am b4 but I still dont agree on the time-slowing London Clock experiment in relation to speed because I think it has more to do with the observer's distance and not the speed of light. Would appreciate if you or anyone can explain why will, what will and how will things slow down or pause off

Missy89: Quite foreseeable if wormholes are stable enough but you likely wont be able to get back to the same time you left. There are problems like Wormholes not obeying the laws of Physics and the Twin and Bootstrap Paradox which makes time travel highly unlikely. The possibility is only based on scenarios that are highly unlikely because it would contradict few theories and laws that haven't been disputed yet
Hi, you won't be the first and the last on this forum who make the mistake of presenting 'wormholes' as though it's real and confirmed. Wormhole is an hypothetical concept used to underline the unlikely possibilty of a certain would-be phenomenon of gaining short-cut to another point in spacetime. It was even briefly explained in the sci-fi horror starring Lawrence Fishburne titled 'Event Horizon' which was about a tremendously huge ship that time travelled so tey it went into realms and dimensions that rendered it conscious and utterly evil it began to haunt and mentally attack the crews sent to locate and return it or something like that.

benbuks: I've been
thinking critically & following the world of physics &
attempts made by some scientist /mathematicians
to prove time travel which some did theoretically ,
but for real , how possible is it to travel back to the
past / to the future .?
gat to be "supernatural " i suppose .
Oga how far? How work? Hope sey every every dey jell....hehen you want to know if time travel dey possible because you've been thinking abou it. Brother if you're really thinking about it you should have researched it and share your findings with us. I think you are too impressed by some flicks or series you've been watching of late. Anyway it's a good question you asked...

...[speaking for myself] From my researches and the books I've read in the past, I think there is a difference between 'travelling through time' and 'travelling back and forth in time' which I will call 'time-hopping'. I believe to jump back to 1851 AD or leap forward to the year 2079 using whatever means is arguably impossible simply because as I one day ponder about it, it occured to me that why haven't we recieved at least one human visitor from a future where 'time travel' technolgy has been perfected, or are such distant visitors purposely skipping our point of event in the universal time line to an age where they study non-evil, less monstrous and more interesting creatures like the dinosaurs and how humans evolved along or after them?

Furthermore, travelling through time which is clearly different from the 'time-hopping' scenarios painted above is very possible because not only have I confirmed it several times, it's also modifiable and guess what..the knowledge of it is gleaned from an aspect of the Yoruban Ifa called isegun or Yoruba Advanced Sciences. Travelling through time is what KANOKO does when used by shortening the distances meant to be traversed naturally. If you use it, say you want to be in Ikorodu quickly while you are in Apapa, all you just need do is to contactivate it while already been attached on you and as you begin to walk as usual, you will realise as you trek on, you somehow find yourself getting past places that normally if you could sprint like a cheetah wouldn't have reached, and so it goes untill you get to the destination inputed on the YAS when you contactivated it. In my study so far, the wonderfull KANOKO has no repercussion but do have a consequence of relapsing the user to walk those skipped distance during sleep which when woken willl be exasperated and weak, nonetheless I am still trying to meet a very deep old woman whom I'm informed has a version that doesn't feature this consequential limitation and that could also enable one apply it from here to anywhere in the world. I know this sounds ridiculous but I and others have used the normal KANOKO and yes I sweat it out. Truly our ancestors were great to have had superscientists (Oniseguns and Babalawos) among them who figured it out because they constantly commmune with nature. If you or anyone is interested to know, ask and I will tell how I think the science of KANOKO works.

Olodumare/Eledumare is deep a universal force from which all forms of energies are sourced from. Knowledge of it ways is what Orunmila is charged with to which after dropping and shattered all over the world Orunmila collected and assembled them all back into what we now know as Ifa hence the saying Ifa - 'ase Olodumare'.

The concept of Yoruban Olodumare is not the same with the anthropomorphic deistic concept of the Yahweh, Jeovah and Allah in Judaism, Christianity and Islam respectively who is gendered as a male to which its indoctrinants always addresses as 'he' as if they've seen him or believed those who wrote their so-called holy books on him had seen him.

Secondly, Olodumare has no business dealing with mere mortals, any human issues or problem has been assigned to one or two of the 401 Irunmoles to deal with in their respective department.

After filing for refund and shouting fraud blah blah blah, I was told I should forget it since the seller posted a disclaimer on his listing as to what he was actually selling. But that bit was tiny moreover I was mislead with the image and description.

So much JUJU, we can't use it to find the Chibok girls. So much JUJU, they couldn't use the BULLETPROOF against the colonisers and slave takers. We need to wake up. This is 2014. JUJU is a freagn myth.
As rampant as it is, you would think it would have been proven at least once. My guy, i am being rational. Believing any of this crap would be IRRATIONAL.
You said it yourself 'rampant ' so why haven't you concealed a spy-cam and venture out to record it yourself rather than posting here and there negative comments about a subject you and the rest of the Abrahamistic africans clearly don't understand and aren't interested to.

Shango the King of an ancient Oyo land is different from Shango the Orisha whom among other Irunmole (401 deities) is the Orisha presiding over matters of vengeance and retributive justice and he does not need juju like mortals such as Duro Ladipo employed to breathe throw out firy flames to dazzle audience abroad. Know this, Shango is by default a supernatural entity who doesn't need juju to achieve amazing capabilities just as Ogun, Osayin and the rest of the 401 divinities are. It is mortal that needs kujuju which is inferiror to the alternative what is recommended in IFA.

You see....a whole lot of youths like me don't understand anything about our ancestral believe system nor are we eager or willing to learn. Be it fiction or not, a Japanese or Chinese person of adult or youth will never condemn or downplay whatever their culture of Ninja, Dragon, Samurai etc unless their previous forebearers had allowed themselves to be brainwashed by middle-eastern mytheologies. In this amalgamted nation of ours, It is youths like you, from the way they reason that made me learned long time ago to stop blaming our corrupt and incompetent rulers for it dawned and redawned on me that our problem is the citizenry for truly I see it as it has been said that; they (the citizenry) deserves whatever governance they get....when a popular Babalawo was brought on LTV and during the interview he said how Shango's technolgy can be used to locate those Chibok girls, but did the government contacted him? Jakumo: Ha ha ha fear of getting rounded up by the Nigerian police is the beginning of wisdom, Ghost.

Reminds me of the story I heard a while back of some European expatriates in Nigeria who wrote the police requesting permission to spend a holiday weekend at the beach guzzling beer and shooting clay pigeons for fun and target practice with their legally licensed shotguns.

Well, the police issued the permit for the weekend shooting fest in exchange for some wads of cash to expedite the application process, but then after pocketing the money, the police quietly notified the Nigerian army barracks nearby that reports were coming in about a group white mercenaries training with guns at the beach. Battle ready troops were sent to the area and all the Europeans were arrested and detained in the Directorate of Military Intelligence Lagos headquarters, while their individual homes were searched with ALL remaining firearms found there removed as "exhibits", never to be returned to their licensed owners, several of whom were subsequently deported out of Nigeria.

The moral of that story of course is NEVER talk about your legally owned gun to a policeman when in Nigeria.
You have spoken the truth about the hazard of conducting this kind of educative test for all to know. I myself have heard of some reports on popular Yoruba talk-show program (Bond FM & Radio Lagos), there was an incident of a well known Onisegun in the village who was contacted by agents of Police to prove his series of anti-bullet YAS that was well spoken of, the elderly man who was brought to the radio program said on that appointed day of test, he was surprised to suddenly see so many Police emerging from everywhere who before rounding him and his apprentice up, was shot several times before been taking away on the charges that he colludes with armed robbers by supplying them ammunitions to rob. He constantly kept telling the host of the radio show in Yoruba that if not for 'ayimoye ajesara' (many internalized APB versions) he would have been killed that day as that was the intent of the set up. You see, that's the kind of country we find ourselves.

amnestylaw1: Sometimes, I wonder why we are not all rich if charms worked. If they truly worked as Nollywood movies tend to make us believe, no Nigerian, in my opinion, would not want to make charms to make them rich.
You see! That's the problem with people who think like you. You simplistically assume African sciences is meant to for everyone to use, especially for personal and selfish gain. No one is discussing about get-rich-quick charms here. You are obviously those types when rendered with this self-defense anti-bullet/machette African science would go about instigating trouble just to prove you are now a God.

chrisbaba1: People still believe in this thing?? The only time it works is if the shooter has bad target, or theres no bullet the charm is simply a placebo so that the fighters would be braver at the point of fighting, efficacy of the charm is absolute 0%
Oga you are wrong.....there are those that works 100% effective but they are countless versions and types of them, all in any of the two previously explained tangible and non-tangible forms, unfortunately there are less genuine masters of that particular African Bullet Proof crafts. The problem is there are lots of fake so called Babalawas and Oniseguns and other authentic Babalawos and Oniseguns who are either good or expert/specializes in another aspect of YAS and not ABP but may have a watery knowledge of it and there are others who are alltogether quacks with sweet mouth to convince susceptible patronizer into parting with their money mostly 'awon adahunshe's.

rusher14: Do you know metal can be bent to shape, fitted with rubber in some places filled with fluid and it begins to run?

I know you know this of course because it has been proven beyond doubt worldwide.

Is there anything wrong in asking you to prove yours?
To who exactly? Please do not mention dubious organization JREF.

Jakumo: There is no PM facility in this website Oga. Just talk am for open market-place and prepare for boxing match when we meet for beer parlor.
Here is my offer....get your firearm and one or two atheists volunteer from Nairaland. I will, bring along a big male chicken and will do a public test on the animal. However, before going ahead what do you propose on security for there have been events of this nature in the past where as it is about to start, everyone gets rounded up by the Nigerian Police Force and charged with one crime or the other such as conspiring to commit murder or planning to attack.....hence the most important thing in this educative undertaking is to satisfy the police people that no way do we intend to do something criminal, then we can proceed from there.

Jakumo: Reading the above beautifully written dissertation on the pseudo-science of non-verifiable juju and hocus-pocus "technology", I was reminded of the immortal words pasted on the door of a professor whose lectures I attended back in college.

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullchit."

Ghost of Sparta you are by far the most talented practitioner of applied bullchit dispensation that I have encountered in a very long time. My hat is off to you sir, for you are a living legend in my book, and I will follow you to the ends of the Earth, in order to learn the fine art of the gab from the true undisputed master.

Ha ha I just read your rejoinder to my earlier post. Hell no I am not about to photograph myself shooting at a helpless chicken, even if the bird IS dressed up in full Juju regalia for the occasion. A muffuguh could get locked up for animal cruelty posting that kind of footage. Just take my word that I carried out the ballistics tests described above, Ghost.

Since you evidently believe all claims relating to purported magic feats at face value without any requirement for practical demonstrations, please accept my own claim with similar blind faith, and forget that Youtube video idea. I won't be doing that any time soon.
Too much talk is cheap. What can you and I do? PM me.

frankben: I didn't expect an atheist/ a traditionalist to quote me... If you're one, just unquote me cos i gat nofin to do with the ungodly
So who are the godly? Boko Haram mass murdering in the name of the god of the Arabs 'Allah'? or the then European Christians who fought infidels and usurp their lands in the name of Jeovah god? Or was it godly the murderous deeds of the Inquistons who murdered millions of innocent women labelled as heretic witch after been forced to confess to have had pact with the imaginary Satan or demons? Or is it the Conquistador who killed millions in south America in the name of Christianity only to steal their treasures.
