Might be you're boring her to death and she took the easiest route to escape. cheesy

On a serious note, just tell her you find her manners disrespectful. She might get angry but Kini big deal?

Say your mind jare, it's your money she is wacking down her stomach to be discarded in the toilet. Life is too short to be a people's pleaser.

Try to throw up interesting conversations to spice up the mood, if it doesn't work and she's still chatting.....then tell her your mind.

Introverts are some of the best people you can trust because they don't joke with their trust. A Trust is a bond, an oath, a covenant.

Go girl... I do hope you make something out of it.

While at it, try to build a brand and think like an entrepreneur.

It gladdens my heart when I see women hustling on their own. I respect them more.
Thanks for your input, may God bless you for the encouragement.

LOL! Dude you got no chill. Respect your elders.

As for you OP @DY20 DY20

I want you to do something. Zoom into the future, 40 - 50 years from now. I don't know how old your dad is now but he may not be around for you and your siblings anymore.

It is at that point you will start to value him, love him and wish he was around to even talk the life out of you.

Don't wait for that time to come. Value him, Respect him and Love him for who he is now.

I don't want you to cry 'I wish I knew' in the forthcoming years.

MODIFIED: Ginaz God bless for your comment. I have already written mine when I saw yours above. Tell Op!
He wasn't just a grandfather to me, he took up the father role when my dad was no where to be found. And cos of it I never lacked a father figure in my life, he named me, raised me and he was the one who taught me how to read and write. Every Sunday he would read to me the book of Bible story, till I was out of junior secondary school he kept reading.

A week before he died he begged me to come live with him but cos of his overbearing talks I refused. The day he died all I could remember was him begging for me to come stay with him for a week. I took him for granted, I should have stayed if I knew that was the last time I would see him. The feelings of regret I went through I won't wish it on anyone....it was soul breaking.

He was the best but a talker, even worst than the o.p's father.

I wish I could bring him back to life and tell him I love him, I never told him that.
Family › Re: Nairalanders Help! My Dad Talks Too Much. by Ginaz(f): 11:38pm On Jun 10, 2017
Funny enough my grandfather was a talker, he talks for Africa. When he's drunk the talking triples, and he always made sure he got your attention or else better be termed a rascal.

We all complained especially me his first grandchild. I was the apple of his eyes.

Funny enough I would give everything to hear him talking again, the overlong and overbearing talks and all. I would do anything to listen to them.

O.p cherish his talks while you can cos someday you gonna wish you did when he's dead. The fact that you took him for granted will leave a mark on you for life.
You don't know you have a diamond till you lose it.

That reminds me the day I and my mom visited my aunt in her husband's village.

We were looking for vehicle to take us back home when we saw a red car going our way at which my mom waved and it stopped. One guy was at the back with the the driver and a guy at the front. The one at the back came out and asked us to enter cos we won't be able to get another vehicle going our way and fuel is running out.

For some reasons i don't know my body felt cold ,suddenly cold. My mom was already going to enter like she was in a trance.

I shouted at her don't enter, she said why? She said come on let's enter. I shouted no!! She was already in their midst, the man that came out was asking me "u dey fear?" while the one at the front was saying let them enter let's go.

I told them we won't enter and held my mom's hands, the man outside got angry and entered the car and they zoomed off hurriedly.

We entered a bike, we paid heavily. Till now I always have a bad feeling when I think back about that day.

Romance › Re: 4 Things You Can Do If You're Being Taken For Granted In A Relationship by Ginaz(f): 4:54pm On Jun 08, 2017
Britboy:
I'm almost in the same situation, but mine is slightly different.
I know I will be bashed for this, but here it goes anyway.
My situation is this: I met this chick (my neighbor...same street, same estate) and we started off as friends...very good friends. In fact, it felt like we've knoqn for years.

She confided in me, told me everything and anything. I eventually developed strong feelings for her.
I expressed my feelings, but she told me she was in love with her bf that stays in a diferent state.
I kept on pushing mildly, until my flows started to penetrate and break down her solid rock defences.
As time went on, we continued our friendship, until she had a problem with her bf.
In fact, it wasn't just a bf, but her fiance.
According to her, he wanted to marry her, but for some reason, her Dad was vehemently against the union.

As fate would have it, she became closer ro me during this period, and that was when the deed was finally done...albeit, after some serious brainstorming and hard work. It wasn't easy to depant her, but badt guy na badt guy! grin

To cut the long story short...after a while, she reduced communication with me, I was the one always trying so hard to reach out to her.
The chats reduced, even the phone calls reduced, but I kept trying.

After we did the deed, she asked me not to leave her, and I promised never to leave her, so it baffles me how she suddenly started withdrawing.
I genuinely love her...she knows, but recently she's been keeping her distance.

Oh...by the way, did I mention I am married?
I know, I know...crucify me!
But hey, he who is without sin should cast the stone.
I understand that part of her withdrawal is because of my marital status, cos she swore at the beginning that she will never do a married man...shit happened!
One time, I even gave her the chance to end our friendship , by telling her if she doesn't want to continue, she should let me know, so I can slow down, but she didn't.

Don't judge me...I love my wife, my kid, but shit happened, and I fell in love with my neighbor. cry
You make me sick and yes I will judge you. The love didn't fall from heaven you developed it. You knew you were married but was building a friendship with your neighbor, you kept the fire burning till it developed feelings.

You used the poor girl, you knew despite whatever you won't leave your family to marry her. Women are easily emotional and you went for the jaw break for her to open her feelings and her legs too.

That wasn't love you felt but lust and God will judge you heartless witch.

Some married men stink of shame. Just imagine your wife doing this to you....how will you feel? Can you for once imagine it?

My God!!!!

beardlessdude:
epistle. Who send this one work.
Airforce is a trashy morafucka, but this long shii you wrote up there makes you trashier. you sound like a floozie and yeah sorry to burst your bubbles, that "your friend" doesn't exist.
I found it hard to believe at first he could be so, he works in p.h as a project manager. He's small and boyish looking you won't give him a second look if you pass him by. Not until I heard him speak and saw actions not words.
His mom lives close to my house so I see everything.

It's true the people with substance don't make too much noise. It's hard to believe, if not what I saw I won't as well.

Sorry for my long episode, I was only trying to make airforce realize he is taking it too far. It is too much and not necessary.

Goodnight.

Romance › Re: The House I'm Building For Mom Is Nearing Completion (photos) by Ginaz(f): 7:34pm On Jun 07, 2017
I don't usually comment on airforce threads but this got to me. Airforce with is wrong with you for God's sake? Why are you doing all this?

If it's for popularity I would say yes but you're already quite popular in nairaland.
If it's for an award I am amaze at what you stand to gain.
If it's to have lots of female at your mercy, I would understand but you don't need to go through this public display of immaturity as you could just send them messages.

so what is the problem ?

You showed a house that has not even taken its shape to the whole of nairaland, so let's say you did well by building a house for your mother but do you really need to do this?

Show a house still under construction, who does that? People show houses completed not an underdeveloped one.

This is the sheer level of show off I have ever seen in my entire life. Who brags about an uncompleted building to the whole world?

I have a friend so rich in fact I still can't believe he could have such a huge amount of cash in his account but he still lives in his mom's house. Wears ordinary clothes, uses a Nokia phone and goes off to work in P.h but only comes home on holidays.

It's true the empty vessel makes the loudest noise. Airforce, I'm quite sure nobody gives a fu*ck about you life here, all this your bragging nobody send you. Nobody hates you, nobody cares. You are the one making it seems so, it's all in your head.

For once, why can't you act your age? Why the unnecessary show offs? What are you trying to proof and to whom is it addressed to cos I don't understand.

Let nobody deceive you what you're doing its cool, to say the truth it is tiring, nauseating, immature, unintelligent and totally disgusting with no necessity to man

But it's your life, how you want to live it by all means do just don't make your foolishness known to the whole wide world.

and lastly you need help, this guy is sick or might be suffering from depression while everyone thinks he is acting normal. This guy needs a counselor or needs to go to the hospital. He looks sick mentally
