TheArchangel:Right!! We can also recall Babangida to come undo the corruption foundation mess they created. Brilliant! If NOI couldn't do it over 5year (on her second tenure) when crude was selling over $100/barrel, is it now that it sells for less than $30 that she will do anything meaning full in less than 6 months that adeosun has been the minister. Just think sincerely about it. |
Gbawe:Abi o. In the words of ipod youth "we give buhari 48hrs ultimatum. he must release methu and kanu" ![]() |
@Gbawe, Thank you jare. i don't even know why I dey waste my energy on the dude. They are just sore losers. |
obailala:honestly my brother, I just tire for some people. |
id911:dude, apart from the fact that they are not mono-economy like ours, what else can you tell us about their policy that you personally know that is absorbing the shock? Is it adeosun's fault that we are mono-economy? The finance ministers (or equivalent) of those countries that you said I shouldn't mention have been in office far longer than adeosun. so what the heck is your point? And you still have not answered the question even after all your rants. provide a solution or name someone else (if sacking is still your solution) from anywhere in the world that could have prevented/reversed our situation within the time-frame she has been in office. |
TheArchangel:She has been the minister of finance TWICE!! Where has she led us to? For me I believe this gov should be given a fair chance to work. I don't even remember the last time we had a budget that didn't rely heavily on oil. Let alone the last time we have a budget that focus more on capital project. Even if the price of oil goes down to $20/barrel, it still won't affect the financing of the budget that much (provided we are able to maintain a reasonable amount of sales). So when people begin to criticize without giving any peculiar reason and worst still without any solution, it shows they are just being bitter over GEJ's loss |
id911:He asked you a simple question and you about ranting. Answer the question or forever remain silent. Its too easy to criticize without having a shred of idea of what to do. Is Nigeria the only country investors are leaving? Investors are not silly. They will take their money to more matured/secure environment (the US economy in this case because the US is just vexing trashing everybody - largely because of the contribution of their sales from oil) Is it only the naira that is losing value? Have you checked out how mush canadian dollar, austrailian dollar, Rusian ruble, Chinese yen and many more advanced economy have lost to the USD? by your theory, all these countries should also fire their finance ministers abi? Just provide a solution as you were asked or forever remain silent. |
2sex:But you forget that people also say the market can remain irrational for much longer than you can remain solvent lol So don't bet your life saving that will bounce back so soon. We may be in for a long bearish session. But I hope not - just that its better to err on the side of safety and prepare for the worst. If things gets better sooner than planned, we'll give more glory to God. |
Daskeepol:In case he is too lazy to check it out: If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. |
2sex:That is not what I am talking about. I mean it looks like that support is not strong enough. The support may be broken and the price dips further. |
2sex:I am not a technical analysis expert, but from the look of things, it looks like that "support" may not hold. |
I don't really support a one-sided fight against corruption. BUT I support any kind of fight against corruption because the battle just has to be fought. If we have to wait for the perfect war commander to engage a "balance fight" against corruption, then we will wait till eternity. So, I err on the side that the current tempo be sustained (if not increased). If PDP put their acts together, confess their sins and repent without "going back to Egypt", then people may bring them back to Aso Rock and then they too will fight a one-sided war on corruption. Bottom line as long as they are not falsely accused, let the fight go on! |
abduljabbar4:Thank you jare. This is exactly my point. Not that I really give a damn about the authenticity of this story myself. But I was just pointing out their hypocrisy on how they are quick to accept and commend the man when he made the initial senseless statement and the same people now complaining about the another "derogatory" statement (because it now affects them). Like I said, most reasonable people have moved beyond Trump's senseless, nauseating, bigoted supremacist talks. But also as far as I am concerned, we must realize that Americans will vote for whoever will best serve their national interest. If they so think Mr. Trump is the best man for the job and elect him as the POTUS - so be it - whether he sends Nigerians/Muslims out of the US is his/their headache. Also, no matter how much people rant, if Americans think Hillary is the best person, their is absolutely nothing any nairaland user can do about it. It will be better if people face this reality. The last time I checked, success and good quality of life does not start and end in the US. BTW we also have the right to eject the likes of Mobil and Chevron (afterall oil price have considerably collapsed). But ultimately, it is their right to do whatever is best for their country (as long as it is done in line with UN policy) |
DaBullIT:See hypocrisy at its peak. Did you ask for BBc and CNN sources when trump was mis-yarnning about muslims? Now that the same man is alledged to have opened his running mouth again in his usual supremacist character and you are asking for BBC/CNN links. Just recently in December, you said Trump was right - because he wasn't refering to a category of people where you belong. Just in case you have fogotten: DaBullIT:Anyway, most sensible people have moved beyond the racist tendency of mr donald. |
And this is how the cookie further crumbles. With Iranian oil joining the already "saturated" crude oil supply (no thanks to US production), we better brace for lower oil price. The only comforting thing is that least at least we don't have a wasteful/wicked/anti-people individuals in Aso Rock. |
I don't understand all this mischief from both sides. How come the content of the budget change? How come the senate knows something has changed when they don't have a copy. They are still asking for soft copy from the executives. How come a hard copy has to be physically submitted to the NA in the year of the lord 2016 with all the body guards and entourages when their is provision for secured electronic submission? |
Op, proof that this is not your hand work. I am sure you just printed this yourself and put some akara and fried yam on top just to belittle the budget. |
empty noise as usual. As at this minute, the kanu guy is still in a cage (i.e behind bars) in the zoo and nothing has happened despite all sort of shakara/bragging that the zoo will fall before the end of 2015. shior. |
While he may not have been wrong, he is definitely economical with the truth. Mr thrump should tell us if it is only African countries that are fraudulent? Are all European and American and Asian all fraud free? All the economic recession and global financial meltdowns were all caused by Africans abi? Anyway, who takes him serious again |
raumdeuter:These people are just empty chest beaters. This is how they threatened hell that a certain Zoo will fall before the end of 2015. As at today, a certain Kanu is still in the cage in the zoo. Bunch of jobless jokers ![]() |
abduljabbar4:Some people are brilliant with presentation of insults but also some people can read between the lines. I like your style ![]() |
1st, for those who may not know, this is not CNN. This just "CNN Edition" - which is more like cnn's version of nairaland where people can post articles. CNN will never claim ownership of the contents on their edition "blog". |
IdisuleOurOwn:They have fallen our hands yet again |
PassingShot:Plus, he called for the murder of some Nigerians. That is my biggest grouse with him. And yes, I too don't like how PMB answered the question. |
Fo0ls are abounds everywhere! When the president said there are no weapons does it mean there are absolutely no weapons at all? I guess it was banga knockout the NA has been using on their various missions outside the country. Let's not even remind ourselves of the tragedy of the Ikeja cantonment blast during OBJ regime. Were those explosions caused by bisco bangas too? When people say their is youth unemployment, does it mean their no youth at all that is gainfully employed? Or will you call anyone that makes that statement a liar? But in 2015, with the sophistication of terrorism and external threats, it is safe to say Nigeria does not have weapons. AND for God's sake is it only about weapons? What about logistics? How come BH was able to kill boys in their school at night without even the slightest of responses from the army? How come girls were abducted (in lorries I believe) without even a chase from the army? How come Nigeria army was disgracefully chased by BH to Cameroon? Our fears are just keep getting confirmed that PDP is brain dead and is not capable of putting APC on its toes with intelligent criticism/opposition. |
EzePromoe:Its just a gentle reminder so that you people keep your promise. Some of us have been longing to become expatriates. So, guys and ladies pls no fall my hand ![]() |
IdisuleOurOwn:Idisule. You are a wicked somebody ![]() Anyway december neva finish. 2.15 days left. I can't wait to be an expatriate. |
My goodness!! Are these what they call predictions? More like intelligent guesses. SMH for religious mugus. |
bloodykiller:I wanted to ask you for the source but then I noticed you provided the answer - facebook post from a "brilliant activist" with no name. Here's a piece of advice, no matter how you guys try you just cannot wash away the sins of you corruption hero. Under his nose, the country's account was ravaged even with high proceeds from oil. And when oil revenue started dwindling, he started short-changing the states of their allocation all in a bid to quench their thirst for embezzling. Naira depreciated from about N140/$ when he assumed office in 2010 but he left it at over N200/$ in 2015 - again even with high proceeds from oil! |
IamDejman:I personally take reports from these kinds of blogs with a pinch of salt so I didn't want to respond to this thread until I saw your post. Well point of correction, they actually did!! Southwest Muslims Reject Invitation To Meet Jonathan |
