If you're closer to the PU when the request comes in, like you're 2mins away, and the rider cancelled after like a min countdown, they will remove their commission or a case where you're driving towards the PU and you're like 250m to the PU and rider cancelled, they will deduct their commission, the only time you won't get deducted is if the countdown to PU is still like 4mins away and rider cancelled it or you cancelled it yourself without moving towards the PU then you won't be charged commission...

In between, that indriver nah nonsense...
@the bold; do you mean they will remove my money and not add it to my refund wallet, or it will reflect in my refund wallet?

@Glit, you still don't know indrive completely. I stopped using indrive fully when they charged me for a trip I didn't embark on. I didn't call the person. I only chatted. She cancelled and I was charged 400. That was the day I stopped using it fully. I use bolt now. I only use indrive if I am looking for a destination trip home. That indrive is a nonsense app. Those guys are thieves! Moreover, the way fastest fingers rush to pick rides is something I can't cope with anymore.....and sometimes they pick nonsense!

In bolt, request comes to you and the prices are better than that of indrive. That 4k trip showed btw 5500 to 7k on bolt.
Inside life.
@the bold, I've never been a victim of this situation where I didn't call and my money was taken when the passenger cancelled.
Sometimes, na me dey cancel with "I refuse to take this order" when I have a change of mind before driving to the PU point and my money remains intact.
It is well.

Much respect, boss.

there’s a learning curve in this hustle, Sooner or later you will learn from experience. You haven’t come across people who will order, give you full assurance and then block you on arrival before you can place a second call after you have arrived. Nigerian women are a very special breed of individuals, or people who will order multiple rides on different platforms and choose whichever arrives first and block the others. Just do whatever works for you, I prefer chatting because most times, It reduces the chances of my account being debited in the event of a cancellation since so many people lack empathy.

So what if you arrive at the pick up point, then message the client and he/she refuses to respond after waiting for like 15 mins, what would you do? Some of them don't have active or reachable phone number. Once they chat you to start coming,on getting there you go call tire and the number won't go through, and to reply chats is a big issue for most of them. You never jam bro. Once i place a call it gives me confidence to go and pick up the person. And i will ring it to the person's ear not to allow me burn my fuel for nothing. It has been working for me but some will still disappoint which is normal among Nigerians, because they don't charge them for cancellation like Uber does.
grin grin why would you need the confidence to go and pick a rider nah?
If the person cancel after the assurance nkó and indrive come take your money, you go dey vex. grin
It's very simple.
Arrive at pickup point.
Call the rider or wait for 5 minutes to elapse and place the call. Some riders would call you themselves, and some, as you rightly said, would be unreachable and won't reply message.
Just chill for the 5 mins to elapse and cancel the ride if you can't wait any further.
Just that simple. Your money will be added to your refund wallet.
Since me I don understand indrive ooh, I no dey call at all until I get to your PU and click I've arrived. If any cancellation happens there, my money goes straight to my refund wallet.
The grudges we drivers hold against indrive is the "stealing" of driver's money in some situations, but there are ways to avoid that.
Just follow the steps to not get debited without having your money in your refund purse.
Simple.
It is well sha.

Much respect, baba.

The day their rider reports you and they block you Ad infinitum is the day you will know Bolt is far better than them. Glithronix learn from this. Don't too depend on them.
Indriver is a crazy app.
Taahhh! I've been using indrive since.
Everything I know about indrive today, I studied them 100% and I've not been blocked for once (not even the temporary blocking).
I've been reported once since I've been using it and all I got was a warning notification, and that happened when I was still new on the app. I knew the sadist that reported me then.
Wetin I go do now that will warrant report self when I don know what I need to know using the app and handling riders?
As I have said severally, if indrive 4k up today, I will ditch them and improvise.
No loyalty to any of them.

Much respect, sir.

I know the tricks on the platform. I hardly ever call, I use their chat feature 90% of the time. Been a year on and off that platform so I doubt if I can be described as new...they essentially make drivers pay for glitches in their system. A friend of mine's bank card was debited without having his account wallet credited, I assumed he didn't follow the due process until it happened to me after using the same recharge procedure for 9months. The new one wey dey bust my head are rides cancelled by passengers not appearing on trip history, under normal circumstances they don't debit accounts in such circumstances as long as a call wasn't made but lately...they do so at random without even adding the value to the refund balance. The way I track these is by scrutinizing balance statistics. Drivers go hear am once they get significantly higher market share.
It is well.

Much respect, sir.

very true..the first two issues i have with them have been pending since last month, all they do is send me canned messages and say they will refund in either 24hrs, 5 or 7 days and nothing will be done at the end of the day.
No vex, bro.
Indrive has the 'wackest' customer service, so, don't rely on them for any resolution.
As you rightly said, having no physical office here is still greasing their elbow. That's why.
That being said, I think you're relatively new on indrive. Indrive is actually not that complicated for drivers. And yeah, all companies care more about their customers, so as e-hailing companies.
I will say you're yet to grab the scope of how indrive's system operates.
All you need to know about indrive has been posted here, just try and read back.
Bolt's own is even worse and with that, many drivers here know how to beat them to their game.
For indrive, don't call any passenger you picked their order.
I can't start this again, abeg.
Just try and read back.
You will definitely get the grip of indrive as time goes on sha.
Mind you, any money wey indrive don swallow, e don go. Otiló. 🕺💃👯 😁

Lexus ES300 is not a suitable car for the hustle.

1. It's 3.0 litre engine. It will consume more fuel, not fuel economical

2. It's 70 litre fuel tank. U go buy fuel taya. full tank na 42k, Half tank 21k.

3. Lexus part are very expensive. One small damage will swallow your 3 months earning on Bolt and leave you with nothing to save.

4. It will take you 6years to recoup your investment. By that time the car fit don quench before the time reach to reap the fruit of your labour

5. Lexus ES300 is too big to navigate the nooks and crannies of bad roads of lasgidi. Danfo, okada and keke will scratch your car easily. They will dent your car. You can't navigate Bad road easily with big cars like ES300.

Solution:

You need a compact car like Toyota Corolla, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Matrix. These are the 3 best for this business. They are rugged, strong, reliable and easy to maintain. And fuel efficient
Why Big daddy not included huh angry
