Yesterday, got stopped by police on the ramp to express leading to china town if you're coming from ojota bus stop;

Policeman: hey, stop there!

Me: parked.

Policeman: looks inside and around the car (while me and my rider remain quiet).

Policeman: (asks me), are you Uber?!

Me: yes!

Policeman: you're a fake Uber, you don't look like an Uber driver.

Me: okay, sir.

Policeman: looks inside the car again.

Policeman: do Sunday for us nah, chairman (with smiles).

Me: nothing dey, sir.

Policeman: dey go.

Me: Thank you, sir.

These policemen are something else. I don't know how an Uber driver should look. angry

I like my rider, him no even say a word. Was just pressing his phone jéjé.

Your kind of car also determines what you make.

I use a Toyota Camry muscle, which should be 2.4L engine. Now, will I make same amount with someone using a 1.8L engine, if we both bought fuel of 10k? NO!

Moreover, I don't have a catalyst in my car, and some have argued that one consumes more fuel in the absence of a catalyst. Will I make the same as someone using a 1.8L engine with a functional catalyst? NO!

I am not supporting or attacking anybody. The field is open to all. Buy fuel of 10k in your car, go out and hustle with sense, what you make with it, is what your car can make. ko gba agidi, ko de ni lati gba argument!

BTW omoapena, I like the way and manner you respond or reply people. You must be a calm and gentleman like me 😆. We should hangout this December😊🍷🍺

On indrive, the key to determine those that manipulate original fares is to look at rider's ratings first. Anything below 4.5, I dont even bother bid, I skip it straight.
Rider's with high ratings usually stick with the app suggested price or are open to accepting higher bids.

I'm not saying you should not listen to the encouraging and discouraging parts of any comments you read here, but here is the truth; don't challenge those veteran drivers on this platform if you've not got the grip of the hustle. Imagine if dem ignore me when I started as a newbie, wetin I know today fit no come easy at all. My blokus for don roast fire before I get sense. grin

Instead of challenging them, challenge yourself.
This hustle needs no thorough lesson cos you will gain all the experiences on field.
If someone tellls you that you will gross 20k with 5k fuel, do you need to fault that? NO!
What you should do is to go and buy that 5k fuel and see if you will make that 20k gross.
If someone tells you that you will gross maximum of 12k with 5k fuel, don't doubt the person, use your 5k fuel to achieve that 12k and see if you will make more than that.
Then, you have something to throw to the platform from your field experience.
These people are way above us in this hustle, so, we gotta give them that space.
One can't even challenge any veteran driver if he has not hustled for 6 months at least.
1 year driving experience with 5/6/7 years experience no be small gap.
Na to do like a newbie and learn the way.
In this hustle, they can only show you the way, na you go find your way.
If I'm not mistaken, I've never for once challenged anyone here of what they make with a particular amount of fuel. When they post it, I keep quiet and went behind and try it.
Whatever I make with such fuel is what I always post here fact 💯.
Okay. I used 15k fuel gross over 60k last 2 Sundays, you gonna refute that?
Study, learn, and find your own way.
Then start contributing based on your own, not on others.

Just put any price and someone MUST PICK!!!! Sometimes, not all though but some of those high price you see on indriver are those rookie rider wey never Sabi how to lower the price, any price that the app shows, na wetin Dem dey put forward.. you see those Prince Abiodun Oniru olosho, they are ready to enter for free, if you no mind!!!

I think those drivers that normally pick anyhow prices they see would have reduced by number, only few mumu drivers would probably still remain to learn their lesson.
I guess those suzuki crabs are the ones remaining in this category, cos those ones no even send anybody. grin

When drivers refuse to pick their nonsense offer, they (riders) will sit up and up their game to normal or even above normal self.
If your car is top notch and everything working perfectly especially AC, you won't pick nonsense rides.
I can't count the number of times riders have complained about rude/dirty drivers with no working AC, these are the drivers that will be picking nonsense rides since they have nothing extra to lose, or render to the rider.
Those drivers who make posts begging for spanners, extra tyres, jump starter, etc on passengers' page are the real suspects of pick-anyhow-rides.
If you're selective and use your sense with calculations, you won't beg for those items, you will have them intact.
And for those oniru olosho. grin

I dey see dem well well. Me no dey kuku rush. I go just chill to catch the best offer amongst them.
Oniru entirely is one of the best positioning radius for a driver. You will never lack.

I got a request (indrive) in phase 1. A very short distance, she puts 1900. I quickly parked to pick it before Glithronix (much respect) As I was about to pick, she has already increased it to 2500. Ehh! I picked, she accepted.

I checked after getting to indrive destination and came up with a good price which most riders will decline instantly.
Me: Madam, are you good with 5k, plus the initial 2k5, making 7500?
Madam: I will round it up to 8000
Me: Oh! Increased my AC to 3, make I give Madam Moscow treatment.

You no suppose fear cos I no go follow you drag this kind fare of 1.9k or 2.5k nah. grin

I picked one girl from NOUN in VI, she literally increased the fare and I picked it. While on the ride, I asked her why she did that, she said she knew that with that price, she would quickly get a driver.
There are some people who understand "situations". There are some situations you will need to leave ASAP to get to your house/destination.
But some mumu people go still reduce amount even when there's traffic at night.
Those ones go tey for bus stop. Kikikiki. 😁

If this sensor goes bad, you will think say na the devil collabote with your village people dey do your car. grin

Cos no matter the solution/repair you do, if you never replaced this sensor, you'll just dey waste money on other things.
As someone said, first scan the car, if the code points to multiple cylinders misfiring, let your mechanic replace your car's cylinder sensor, then come and give testimony.

Glad to see that you tried something out of your comfort zone...I have said it before, Longggghh trip is the way to go with this hike in fuel...If you can do an average of 4 long trip in a day, you will make something reasonable....if you're a full time driver, target long trip...Short trip is TIME consuming, drained your fuel faster...and with very little to show for it..Before you do 5 short trip on indriver, you might have spent up to 3 or 4 hours on it with just a total of maybe 6k but just one long trip of less than 2 hour, you're getting not less than 10k on a free road..

On a norms self, I'm the long-trip type. Not a fan of all those short-short trips.
That one I did on that Sunday really made my work easy and fast.

Texted immediately and asked if I should follow the GPS to their location and they affirmed that the GPS was correct.

I reach the destination for admiralty road, "Oya o, my madam come outside".
She say, "are you at GOOD BEACH already", Good Beach bi bawo... Abi "the good brand", e ma gbami ke.

Na annoyance I use end the call and cancel the order.

Chai! This kind thing can be annoying.
I've experienced similarly situation wella.
Come imagine the time your own occurred (midnight).
Very annoying. angry

Yesterday being Sunday, I went out of my radius.
Picked one babe from Rococo restaurant on Ozumba Mbadiwe and destination was Alimosho.
On our way going, she was talking to a man who was identified as BF and she asked me if she could change location to Shagamu. She wanted to meet her boyfriend.
On hearing this place, omoh, I declined straight, and we were already on 3mb.
She sha dey beg me say make I take her, though she was lively and a free-talker, but I was like wetin I wan go do for Shagamu nah?
Her fare amount to Alimosho was 6.7k and I was like, which kind change of location be this?
After some friendly and cheerful discussion, I sha changed my mind and said "lemme take this challenge" for once.
We agreed on summing everything up to 20k.
Omoh, na so I fired down to Shagamu ooh.
Driving from Iyana Oworo to her destination in Shagamu was 50mins on a complete free and 'trafficless' road.
We just fired down with some mad gbedu from my playlist.
Dropped her at her boyfriend's hotel and received 20k inside my Opay instata.
Make I burst una bubbles, I fired back to Lagos alone. No roadside pickup. Just me, my ac and gbedu.

I left my app on on my way back and I got a trip notification going to Ikeja (5k+) on getting to Mowe, I ignored though, cos I already drove past where the person was when I sharperly put the pickup point on the map.
Heading straight towards FRSC on isheri to position on Akinsanya street before the FRSC office, Ojodu Berger, got a nice trip notification from Morgan estate going to Ajah/Sangotedo. Omoh, I pick am oooh. grin

I said we go rugged am like that cheesy

. Dropped the person at Shoprite. 1hr 15mins trip. No wahala.
Dropped the person and positioned opposite Shoprite, sangotedo. Got my last trip to Joygate hotel on Airport Road, Ajao.
1hr 08mins drive, fired down. Closed for the day before 10pm and total gross was 63k+. Fuel 15k.
