Felicity0001: Rule out option 2 as engine is 3.0L V6, nice car though.
Do more research about the other 2 options but from my own view the Mazda should be more fuel efficient cos of its smaller body. People use all of these cars for ehailing shall. Pearl1910: First of all fuel consumption and spare parts cost aren't the only things to look out for if u intend to use a car on ehailing for long term.
VW Passat Avoid this car for e-hailing. Even as private car, if u never chop beleful don't touch it. The attendant problems are too much. From electrical to engine to gear to AC wahala. Only buy if it's tokunbo, u have done due diligence and u have a professional mechanic specialized in VW that will manage it for u.
Acura TSX Executive Honda. Ticks all boxes except fuel consumption and simplicity. But If people use Lexus for e-hailing, it can also fly. Fuel consumption is similar to Muscle/Spider. It's a Honda so it's reliable and durable. Available parts and mechanics. Just have it in your mind that it will have more issues than a regular civic/accord cos of the extra solenoids and censors in d car.
Mazda3 Ticks all boxes except ruggedity. Easy maintainance, Modest fuel consumption similar to Camry2.4, Cheap spare parts, Straight forward setup under the hood, The car isn't very strong and rugged but with proper maintenance it will serve u. Not the best 3 options for ehailing. Going by the reviews from you bosses, in all fairness and reality, those cars are not a good option for e-hailing. This is why I love this platform. Much respect, bros. Appreciate you, sirs. More knowledge.

Men in the house, please your views and enlightenment are required; Considering fuel consumption and spare parts cost only, kindly share your knowledge about these cars below; 1) VW Passat (pic 1). 2) Acura TSX (pic 2). 3) Mazda 3 (pic 3). Barbiturate: It's like bolt has started reducing DS if you don't pick a request and if rider cancels. I noticed it this night.
Meanwhile, I picked a rider today from around law school to awoyaya. While on the trip, the guy said I would have to enter chevron, that he needs to pick someone. I asked if he put a stop, he said he doesn't know how to and he doesn't know about it. I said I'll go but he shouldn't waste time. I got there(inside chevron company) I parked and he left. I waited for almost 30 mins. I had called when it was about 15 mins, but he kept begging me to be patient. Omo, I just dey there, dey vex. He eventually came with the guy. The guy apologized, but I made them understand that it was unfair on me. We eventually got to their house at awoyaya. Trip came to 8k plus, bolt gave rider 1k promo, rider to pay 7k plus. The guy transferred the money and told me to check. Omo Na 10k this guy transfer o. All my para and anger just died straight. I thanked him. He said he would thank me instead, cos I was very patient with him. He also didn't let me get to his gate cos it was very sandy.
This one don teach me to dey calm down with riders, if they don't put a stop There are still good people with good heart around us, but some will still frustrate you on top the wait and your patience. I used bolt yesterday to take an item to my base, I told driver where my destination was exactly, but he thought of another place. When he got the place he thought I was going, I said no oga, my destination is still ahead, though not far, but traffic was his agitation all about. Driver just dey para inside him car about traffic ahead, but I kept my cool cos I've learned a lot here and the kind of calm person I be join. When I got to my place, I gave him extra tips on top the fare money. I didn't rate him immediately, and I knew he was expecting nothing more than 1 star due to how I snubbed him when he was ranting during ride... Like 2 hours later, I rated him 5 star, courtesy of this place, plus I understood all his agitation which was the traffic and a low fare, plus bolt 25% commission (on top Camry 2.4L). |

Cheddaz: I don't think people will really mind taking a branded cab and cab is also brand new and sleek. The main issue is can Lagos State sustain it? What happened to the likes of redcab and ekocab? They are saying the drivers will own the car after 5 years of a payment plan, how is the payment plan for this as well as the drivers take home income, what is the criteria for driving, how flexible is the contract? We still dey battle the e-hailing coys for the restraint they are giving us, how much control will drivers have on the lagride app? Then you now talk of maintenance, Abi them think say bolt, uber and the rest don't know why they don't provide the cars for drivers? Las Las na share them go share those cars. The Lagride is failure on arrival but I am sure the government already has a drafted plans and policies in place as they normally do on all projects. But since they are going to need people to drive these cars, their success is not guaranteed. It would live a short span before it goes off the road. They should start first, I will be here to laugh them off the grill. And as I said, I can never enter that branded Lagride cab, on top wetin? Never! I will rather take the old yellow branded taxi than this Lagride. Make we dey look sha. Time will tell on this project. |

GeneralZodd: Sanwo Olu don Vex . Over 500 GAC tear rubber mint cars for E-Taxi. If they succeed with this LAGRIDE. Bolt and Uber should expect some government regulation and restriction soon.
I heard some of you guys saying Government can't compete with Uber/Bolt. Just an enforcement of one "Draconian law", they will take over and shut down the operation of competitors. Example is Opay, Gokada
But Lagos transportation sector is too big for Government alone to handle. Population is gigantic, 22,000,000 million people no be beans Lagos State government no get sense and time will tell how senseless they are. I will never order a cab with such branded name, make them come know say I dey order for cab when I board and alight? Me that I like coded and lowkey life, which I believe a lot of people also do. Club guys/babes, Runs girls and Yahoo boys will rather opt for Uber/bolt than this their yeye lagride. The failure already started with the branded name and uniformed color. Make them bring in millions of it, Uber/bolt/indriver go still beat them hands down. The money danfo drivers are making and the number of passengers are 10x more than BRT, because where danfo go reach, BRT no fit go there. Same will happen to the Lagride in this e-hailing race. It's only going to fry the ass of Uber/bolt, etc to sit right and adjust their policy in order to keep drivers on their platform to avoid dying off the business. Which driver wan go apply for government e-hailing rides self? I will like to know the category of people that probably would. Let's wait and see. Time will tell. |

Well, my view on this new DRIVER SCORE cage is probably to tackle offline deals for Bolt drivers. Let's think it this way; bolt is very much aware that drivers do offline deals on regular, and before you can do offline deal, either you or the rider will have to cancel the rider and go offline. Bolt probably now thought of how to tackle this, which could have led them to bringing the driver score stuff. It was probably extended to the riders angle cos bolt is aware that riders can cancel for the driver to go offline deal. You know, drivers will not have the freedom to do offline trip with the fear of score drop if he or the rider cancels. If not, why would the driver gets penalized for the order cancelled by the rider? You people should think about this. I always say this, even if bolt commission is 10%, they will still be raking in hundreds of millions on a daily, now imagine 25% commission. But bolt really put themselves in danger of downfall with this unreasonable and harsh DS policy. I know that they will not see this, but time will tell. One love. |

This will definitely affect the genuine car seekers here. This is not a good one at all. |
