mariahAngel: I swear, the bolded crossed my mind while I was typing my previous comment. Hahahiaha
The other day, we bought enough already prepared peppered gizzard and ate to our fill, and I was just saying na wah o! in my mind as I was enjoying it.
ideaz: You can say that again. I love eating it with bitter cola, especially when it's made with plenty pepper, such that brings tears on top the enjoyment.
How can plenty pepper eating lead to enjoyment? Are you related to greypencils
This video gives a detailed do it yourself simple steps on how to make spicy peanut butter with a blender. You can enjoy this peanut butter with bread, garden egg, cucumber, cola nut, bitter cola, etc.
It's so simple you will wonder why you haven't been making it yourself before.
Ingredients:
Salted roasted groundnuts/peanuts Dry pepper Ehuru seeds Salt (if the groundnuts were not salted)
I used roasted groundnuts. You will need a high processor blender. Squash or pound the groundnuts first. Pour in the blender, add in dry pepper as you can tolerate, add in Ehuru seeds, start blending. Blend small portions per time. When it starts gumming, use spatula to break it up and keep blending. Blend till the friction melts the groundnuts into a running liquid. It thickens when it cools down. Pour into an airtight container and store on your shelf or fridge. Always scoop with a clean spoon to avoid contaminating the rest. Don't lick the spoon and put it back into the jar
fineboynl: Lol. I re-reasoning it and add salt and sachet Tin tomatoes this evening. I just boil it a little and its far better now. I am arranging rice now and I know it will go well with rice.
It sure will go well with rice. Practice makes perfect.
Next time, before you start cooking, first make sure you prepare all your ingredients, then set them all out in one place, so that you don't forget anything.
fineboynl: pounded yam. The soup didn't come out the way I expect. My first time of trying something like this. I forgot I haven't put this and that. Had to off the gas every now and down.
You still did well for a first timer.
Set all your ingredients aside ,well prepared. So the cooking will only be mixing in things.
pocohantas: Are there known products you no longer use due to high cost?
Come in here and share your cost-cutting tricks with us.
Pocohantas, I have said this before. Your hands are so beautiful You no dey use hands wash clothes? Why are they so soft to the eyes? That soap should not spoil your skin abeg.
For the cost cutting tricks, I trained myself long before now to live within my means. What I can't afford does not entice me. I buy things in bulk but that does not mean it will be eaten at once. For example, each morning is one sachet milo, one sachet hollandia milk for each person. Even if the house is full of milo and milk, no one takes more than one. I do intermittent fasting a lot, it lifts my spirit, saves food and keeps me looking younger I buy Mama Lemon dish washing liquid and mix with water so the children don't finish one bottle in a day The local one is not good for my skin. I don't have any monthly television subscription. I don't run generator, except there is no light and I want to pump water. My 12.5kg lasts months. Once am done cooking I put the heat off. Some people can boil water and leave it on heat minutes after its boiled, not me. I can even perceive the boiling smell wherever am at. Solar is better, costly at first but no noise and fuel buying later. I delved into new streams of income to support the family. No throwing away of food, not even in my dreams. So much to say but time will fail me.
Mufakirnaqdiun: Big mummy na the 3rd and fourth picture I dey talk, those big things like pepper, lol You know say I no dey chop any other rice if no be your own na.
