Well, you can say it again Mr governor but am saying we can't achieve any meaningful progress or development in the area of research.
Our main focus now and always is to advance the politics of nepotism and regionalism. If it's not from my region, we must not support it.

It is better we stop lying to ourselves and speak out collectively that Nigeria as it is constituted, is not working and can never work. Those who are gaining from this present structure, who are evidently in all the 36 states of the country, are our common enemies.

Yes, that is the fact. Distances in Astronomy are measured in LIGHT YEARS and PARSEC, aside the Earth - Moon distance which is 1 Astronomical Unit.
A Light year is the distance that light travels in a vacuum in one year (find out the value), while Parsec is the distance from Earth for a Stellar Parallax of 1 second of arc. 1 Parsec is equivalent to 3.252 light years

Yes, their distances away from the earth is one reason as stated in some comments above. Other reasons includes the Star's age. As Stars age and live out their life span, their luminosity reduces as well. Then depending on the size of the Star, they age and become Red Giant or White Dwarf.

Note that the the brightest object on night sky is Planet Venus. Sometimes when there are no visible Stars, you can still see it even before darkness covers the sky or early morning

Note also that our own Sun is a Star as well named Sun. Each stellar object has a name

The land in question is the NAF flying training school adjourning Akanu Ibiam Airport. What Air Peace want to establish should be best sited within airport area.

It is more than true. The land in question is the one occupied by Nigeria Air Force at Emene. I doubt if NAF is still using that location for what it was meant for.
Enugu state asked them to release it to Air Peace for the Aviation hub while offering them bigger and better piece of land. FG no free.

I don't think this should be news. We run on mono economy, and we know the current price of our product in the market.
We equally don't have buffer in reserve to fall back on. Can we learn from our experience? Stop running "feeding bottle" system of government, we no gree. Since independence till now, are we going forward or backward? We refused to tell ourselves the truth and the citizens are keeping a docile nature (including myself). Who placed this curse on us?
Power supply - zero, Education - ? Health care -? Employment -?? The list we know already. South Africa that is not up to 1/3 our population generates over 51,000 megawatts of electricity. We can't boast of steady 3000 - 4000 megawatts in Nigeria.. we pride ourselves "Giant of Africa" Giant snail.

Bad governance in Nigeria will not end in the near future till the citizens say "enough is enough" But will they ever take that bold step? I doubt ever.
