PoliticsRe: Appeal Court Declares Fayemi As Ekiti State Governor by GNBohr: 5:20pm On Oct 15, 2010
Congratulations to the delayed rule of law.

Felicitations to the winning party.

Jubilations to all the long denied people of Ekiti.

I wish the new governor perform to reciprocate people trust in him.

MEANWHILE,

If It Were in Nigeria,

Your response welcome.

THIS DAY

Last night I dreamt that 33 Nigerian miners were trapped underground and the government decided to send a capsule down to rescue them one after the other.

When the miners knew of the rescue plan, they began to argue amongst themselves on who goes first. Zoning was suggested but they could not agree on which zone will go first. Eventually in a struggle to determine who goes first, several of them got injured and MEND issued a threat message warning that they would set off a bomb if any South-south miner was critically injured.

Meanwhile, the FEC had awarded the capsule contract to JB and we are still awaiting delivery three months later. There is a probe going on to unravel this and retrieve the award sum before we get to the issue of what formula to adopt for the rescue and which miner comes out first.
In the mean time, traditional rulers from the miners' towns are paying solidarity visits to the president to thank him for his efforts to rescue the miners.

And the first lady had just invited the wives of the Nigerian miners to Abuja for dinner at the Hilton! The first ladies from the 36 states will also be in attendance. All including the wives of the miners will wear the Goodluck for President ankara.

CNN reported early this morning that after 10 months underground all the 33 Nigerian miners have died and the Nigerian government has declared seven days of mourning during which the Nigerian flag will be flown at half mast to honour the dead.

Meanwhile, JB has sued the FGN for the balance of the contract sum.

Most of you who are spitting fire now, will do worst when you are exposed to the same environment that he was exposed to. Imagine an enterpreneur who single handedly started a banking business, and invited members of the public as the growth went off-hand. That owner's mentality will still be there.

I see all of you as the club/stone/knife carrying pharisees, who were ready to kill Mary Magdalene for her sin. Yet all of you are guilty of either the same/more sins. Our Nigerian system of getting wealth is by accumulating what the third generation may not finish eventually. Excepts the high profile pastors, all other Christians are like all other unbelieving Nigerians. As such Akingbola did what all of us can do as well.

Whether you accept it or not, the mode of his repentance will attract or deny the mercy of God on him. Because this is a Christian forum, this is why I asked for God's mercy on him. Knowing fully well that most of you benefited immensely on God's mercy through his generous gifts, to the body of Christ. Every Christian owns it as a point of service to pray for this man, at least weekly. THAT HE RECEIVES A FAIR TRIAL AND STILL COMES BACK TO THE SERVICE OF THE LORD.

The above statement revealed to me that the personae behind cmarketer is indeed sick. Is Murdoch not a christian when he was jailed for life for the same crime Erastus committed. People like you would rake and curse Nigeria for being a lawless society, for being without a working system. People like you will say why cant Nigeria be like UK, France, Germany, or even Canada, yet you are here calling for prayer on a rogue. Are you more christian than Pope or Archbishop of Canterbury.

All this stupid Nigeria christians whose brain has gone AWOL will never cease to amaze me with their ignorance of the faith they claim to profess.

I pray may the GOOD LORD see to your heart troubles and heal you of your mental afflictions.
PoliticsRe: 20 Most Influential Nigerians--vanguard by GNBohr: 5:04pm On Oct 11, 2010
TO BE INFLUENTIAL YOU MUST CONTROL PEOPLE IN A REMOTE-CONTROL MANNER. YOUR WORD MUST BE LIKE A LAW LIKE THE AWOLOWO, AZIKWE, AHMADU BELLO OF OLD. NOT LIKE IN THE MANNER OF OSHIOMOLE USAGE OF UNIONISM. YOUR PLATFORM OF INFLUENCE MUST BE THE PEOPLE THEMSELVES AND THEY MUST SEE YOU LIKE A LITTLE GOD.

1.Asa - DOING A GOOD WORK ON HER GENRE OF MUSIK BUT NOT INFLUENTIAL, THE ONLY PERSON WHOSE MUSIC IS INFLUENTIAL IS FELA

2.Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - JUST A WRITER STRUGGLING TO BE AMONGT THE BEST IN THE LITERARY WORD, HOW MANY NIGERIANS HAVE READ HER BOOKS TO BE INFLUENTIAL. CONSIDER CHINUA ACHEBE IN THIS RIGHT.

3.Mallam Nuhu Ribadu - HE FOUGHT CORRUPTION BUT UNDER A BAD LEADER WHO TURNED HIM INTO A SEMI-WITCH HUNTER. NOT INFLUENTIAL

4.Deola Sagoe - THIS NAME DONT JUST EXIST IN THE INFLUENCE RING. JUST ANOTHER NIGERIAN DOING WELL SOMEHOW

5.philip Emeagwali - RENOWNED SCIENTIST WHOSE WORK IS FELT IN THE CYBERWORLD BUT HAS NO DIRECT IMPACT PERSONALLY ON NIGERIA. HE MAY BE REGARDED JUST LIKE ALBERT EISTEN

6.Emeka Anyaoku - BECAUSE HE WAS A COMMONWEALTH CHIEF DID NOT MAKE HIM INFLUENTIAL. JUST LIKE RILWAN LUKMAN IN OPEC

7.Oluwole Akinwande(Soyinka) - HIS HUMAN RIGHT STRUGGLE LACKED THE KIND OF BITE THAT WOULD MAKE HIM THAT INFLUENTIAL. HE HAS A DISCONNECT WITH THE POOR MASSES AND HIS APPROACH LOOKS MORE ELITIST. HE IS MERELY POPULAR.

8.Ngozi okonjo-Iweala - BEING A MINISTER DID NOT CONFER THE HONOUR ON HER. SHE WAS NOT OUR BEST MINISTER IN HISTORY.

9.Genevieve Nnaji - A PERSONAE LIKE HER IS VERY LIMITED IN INFLUENCE. HER RATING AS THE BEST ACTRESS IS EVEN CONTROVERSIAL. A CONTROVERSIAL PERSON CAN NOT BE INFLUENTIAL IN THE REAL SENSE OF IT.

10.Oluchi Onweagba - A MODEL OF OUTSTANDING QUALITY JUST LIKE RASHIDI YEKINI OF OLD WAS A STRIKER OF OUTSTANDING QUALITY. WHERE IS THE INFLUENTIAL POWER ON THE PEOPLE IN THAT.

11.Agbani darego - A VERY WRONG NAME TO BE CONSIDERED INFLUENTIAL. IN WHAT I WILL LIKE TO KNOW. SHE HAPPENED TO BE THE FIRST NIGERIAN MISS WORLD JUST LIKE CHIOMA AJUNWA WAS NIGERIAN GOLDEN OLYMPIAN IN INDIVIDUAL EVENTS. MERE RECORD BREAKERS. HOW MANY HAVE THEY INFLUENCED OR COACHED TO BREAK RECORDS.

12.Babatunde R fashola - A FUNNY ADDITION. FASHOLA'S PERFORMANCE WAS NOT 10% OF JAKANDE'S EXCELLENT RECORD IN NIGERIA.

13.Adenike ‘Nike’ Oshinowo-Soleye - MAY BE INFLUENTIAL IN GETTING TO HER FORTIES BEFORE GETTING MARRIED. I WONDER HOW MANY MOTHERS WILL PRAY THAT THEIR DAUGHTERS GET TO FORTIES BEFORE GETTING MARRIED. MAY BE THAT IS THE NEW MARRIAGE VOGUE NOW.

14.Aliko Dangote - THE NIGERIAN BUSINESS OMNIBUS WHOSE STRATEGY IS KILLING OTHERS BUSINESSES FOR HIS TO BECOME MONOPOLY. IF HE WERE TO BE IN UNITED STATES, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN TRIED FOR ANTITRUST.

15.Nwankwo Kanu - THE LEGGED LANGUID FOOTBALL ACHIEVER WHO DID NOT KNOW HOW TO QUIT WHEN THE OVATION IS LOUDEST. PART OF THE WORST NIGERIAN WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN AND STILL PLAYING IN SOME OBSCURE CLUB SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND.

16.Biodun Shobanjo - THE ADVERTISING PRACTIONER WHO IS SEEN AS THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY. YET LIKE SO MANY OTHER NIGERIANS IN THEIR VARIOUS PROFESSIONS. THAT DID NOR CONFER THE INFLUENTIAL HONOUR ON ANYONE. IF SO EVERY FIRST CLASS GRADUATE WILL BE RATED INFLUENTIAL

17 & 18 P-Square brothers(Peter and Paul Okoye) - ARE THERE MUSIC EVEN EVERGREEN. I DONT KNOW HOW FREQUENT RADIOS AND TEEVEES PLAY THEIR SONGS THESE DAYS. THEY HAVE BEED SWEPT ASIDE JUST LIKE THE PAUL IK DAIROS, DADDY SHOWKEYS AND DANIEL WILSON OF THIS NIGERIAN WORLD

19.Michael Adenuga - THE GLO PROMOTER WHO HAS HIS HANDS DEEP IN IBB CORRUPTION CAN NOT BE THAT INFLUENTIAL IF NIGERIANS REALLY WANTS TO FIGHT CORRUPTION.

20.Enoch Adeboye (G.O) - FOR THE SINGULAR ACT OF CAUSING LOSS OF MAN-HOURS THROUGH HIS CHURCH ACTIVITIES AND HOLY GHOST PROGRAMMES  LEADING TO SOCIO -ECONOMIC HAEMORRHAGE AND TRAVEL DISORDER THAT MOST TMES CAUSE FATAL VEHICULAR ACCIDENT RESULTING IN BODILLY INJURY, LOSS OF PROPERTIES AND LIVES. HE CAN NOT BE SAID TO BE INFLUENTIAL, IF EVERY RELIGION DENOMINATION BEHAVES LIKE HIS REDEEMED CHURCH, WE SHOULD FORGET ABOUT LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY.

THEREFORE, THE INFLUENTIAL NIGERIANS ARE DEAD AND NEW ONES ARE NOT YET BORN.

MANY PEOPLE ARE REALLY SICK IN THIS COUNTRY. IMAGINE ANYONE EVER ASKING FOR PRAYER ON CRIMINALS WHO DEFIED THE IMMUTABLE LAWS OF GOD TO ENRICH HIMSELF. WHAT ABOUT ALL THE TEACHINGS OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

THOU SHALL NOT STEAL

THOU SHALL NOT KILL

THOU SHALL NOT COVET THE PROPERTIES OF OTHERS

THOU SHALL NOT HAVE ANOTHER GOD BESIDE ME.

WHEN ERASTUS WAS CHOOSING MONEY ABOVE GOD, HE FORGOT HIS CHRISTIAN-NESS AND SO DO NOT DESERVE ANY PRAYER.

PEOPLE LIKE POSTERS ARE SICK MENTALLY, ECONOMICALLY, SOCIALLY, RELIGIOUSLY AND PATHOLOGICALLY, IT IS PEOPLE LIKE THE POSTERS THAT NEED PRAYER, REDEMPTION AND HEALING.

I PRAY FOR THE POSTERS TO GET WELL.
PoliticsRe: I Am Being Blackmailed - Ibb by GNBohr: 9:27am On Sep 29, 2010
IBB should be kidnapped indeed!!!

It is good Nigerians are beginning to have a sense of history and not necessarily being sentimental about issues and people on the basis of political inclination, tribe, ethnicity, religion, social standing, selfish agenda, tradition and cultural biases.

I hope this sense of history can be extended to all aspiring Nigerian for elective posts in the country.

There are people worse than IBB at various levels of our national political life. The governorship, house assembly, house of reps, senatorial, local government and councillorship aspirants's pasts need to be dugged up.

People with unacceptable pasts should not be allowed to participate in our electoral processes if we must have the country we all desire.

IBB is just only one bad person, allowing people like him in other areas will amount to preventing IBB for nothing.

I say no to IBB and all his types in huts, hamlets, villages, communities, wards, local government, state constituencies, federal constituencies, houses of assembly, state governments, federal house of representative, senate and presidency including police, sss, customs, immigration, prison service and military.
SportsRe: Nsofor Nominated For Caf African Player Of The Year Award by GNBohr: 4:16pm On Sep 27, 2010
If Nsofor, a six-coach reject is on that list then CAF has stripped the award of the remaining credibility it still struggle to possess.

Nsofor could not meet standard of Inter Milan as set by four successive coaches including Roberto Mancini, Jose Mourinho, Rafael Benitez. He was always playing on loan at clubs that did not think twice to send him back to Inter at the end of the loan spell. He could not pin a shirt at his last loan spell in Malaga now he is at another loan spell in Westham.

Adebayor who is now relegated to the bench at star studded Man City is also on the least, to imagine Boughera is there too.

Well, it only go to confirm that Africa has no players to reckon with. Very shameful indeed. The fact that the it is going to be another straight fight between Drogba and Eto'o is a pointer that football is dying in Africa and already in a state of coma in Nigeria.

You men make women into whatever you claim them to be.

A woman can not be anything without a man behind her and giving her all support and protection.

If a woman is negative it is because the men around her allows it.

If a woman is positive it is also because the men around her ensures it.

You men are the real problem.

Very unforunate. Stupid people destroying themselves. in PH, they are blind, they are ignorant, they are backward, they are misfits, they are inglorious, they are lost.

There is cult everywhere, even in advanced countries, but they are not deployed in manners being applied in PH. How will they get development and progress in the midst of these chaos. No wonder PH is a lawless jungle. What a misdirection of power. Tell me how many non Riverians are being killed in this so called struggle for personal supremacy in the name of emancipation.

By the time you kill yourself finish in PH and other parts of that accursed state, other people from across the country will come and rule you. Remember Rome did not fall in the hands of the enemy but due to internal strife and acrimony.

I pray you people from Rivers State, put your head in check and see the damage you are causing your future. Even if Nigeria break up today with the way you are going in PH, violence and anarchy will make the entire Niger Delta to implode. I sorry for una.

Remember, Cultism started in the South West and South West is far ahead of other regions of the country in so many areas. There are better and more positive ways to deploy cultism.

what a shame to nigeria football. to think they still consider them relevant to the national team. but what do you expect when there is no new wonder kid on the bloc. The current September edition of dish africa magazine profile six risinf stars of african football and not one single nigerian is mentioned.

the new kids on the bloc in africa according to dish africa magazine is as follows:

Vincent Aboubakar (Cameroon), plays for Valenciennes in French Ligue 1. he is only 18

Kwadwo Asamoah (Ghana), plays for Udinese in Italy. he is 21

Andre Ayew (Ghana), plays for Olympic Marseille in France. he is also 21

Ryad Boudebouz (Algeria), plays for Sochaux in France. he is just 20

Nicolas N'koulou (Cameroon), plays for Monaco in France. he is also 20

Jonathan Mensah (Ghana), plays also for Udinese in Italy. he is only 20.

Where are our own youngsters. it is no wonder we have not a single name on parade when we are in the habit of parading over 30s as under 17s.

Yobo is claimed to be jus 28, but we all know he is close to 35 and above. so he is only fit for retirement football, unfortunately nigerian players dont have the discipline and ptofessional attributes of Ryan Giggs and paul Scholes to remain in the top flight.

Where are the following national team players plying their trade?

Obafemi Martins
Seyi Olofinjana
Sanni Kaita
Obinna Nsofor, four coaches rejected him at Inter
Yusuff Ayila
Peter Osaze
John Utaka
Kalu Uche
IK Uche
Yussuf Mohammed
Danny Shittu
Yakubu-ed Ayegbeni
All others I cant remember their names now.

Answers to these will tell you the position of our football and expectations you should have from our Super (Chikens)/Papa Eagles.

What are you people yapping about? Have you ever witnessed an incumbent losing election in Nigeria?

You talked as if you are all from another planet. Havent you all see the handwriting on the wall long before now. It is like a generation of thieves passing baton to another generation of thieves.

Pointer to 2011 election. Do you ever think anybody contesting against Jonathan will win? Power of incumbency is a sacrosanct password in Nigeria, be it in public, private or corporate life. We are all the same.

So stop yapping your mouths. If Odegbami was in Maigari's shoes, he would have behaved to type. The same blood run in all of us.

Maybe I am wrong. Waiting to be proved wrong. Anything for history.
CelebritiesRe: Olu Jacobs Destroys Igbo Culture And Tradition — Pete Edochie by GNBohr: 12:21pm On Aug 24, 2010
This is first time since I have been aware of the person of Pete Edochie, that he is not "very" knowledgeable about the trade he plied and made name and fortune from. He has allowed delusions to becloud his sense of reasoning and reality.

He directly attacked the appearance of Olu Jacobs in movies depicting Igbo stories or with Igbo theme. He pronounced the directors and producers as unintelligent. He claimed to be speaking in defense of Igbo culture and traditions. He clearly was upset with a particular non-Igbo person getting more roles in the so-called Igbo films.

Most comments so far has been to either castigate him or support him, very few touched on what Edochie missed in his comments.

He missed the fact that film industry is all about - make believe - mainly for entertainment. If it is for education and information it is called documentary. So producers/ directors and artistes are at liberty to portray what tickles their fancies, even in pornography.

Edochie acted many ruthless and wicked roles in his decades long career not because he is as a person a cultist, ritualist, wicked or cruel as a person. He has acted many damning roles but those who are close to him knows how caring and responsible he is.

Many people, races, cultures and traditions and even religion have been depicted in so many repulsive and non-agreeable light in films. Many different personalities have been made to act characters, most films depicting Arabs were actually acted by Europeans and Americans, many films depicting Africans were acted by non-African blacks, many non-speakers actually spoke foreign languages in films which in their ordinary non-acting lives they do not speak.

Fluency or proper words articulation when an act is speaking foreign language is not a determining factor. Filming making is not a language class. How proper a person speaks a foreign language can only be determined by the natural speakers. Do we as Nigerians, speak English with all the natural accents, intonation and inflections like the British, who are the natural speakers. Most of our actors and actresses in english-speaking movies speaks with bad diction. Does that made them a bad artistes.

Producers and most importantly scriptwriters are fantansy creators purely interested in commercial success of their products. For any one who has read the book "The Sword of Truth" that has become serialised into the Television production of "Legend of the Seeker" would know that many additions and removals had been done for the sake of Television adaptation. The same goes for the serie entitled "Spartacus". Those who read the original story of slave revolt in Roman Empire knows clearly that many modifications were added.

These and many more facts are what the legendary Pete Edochie missed completely in his comments. He was mistaken indeed and I am not in the least disappointed. For the reasons why he mouthed such inglorious statements can only be left for him to ponder on.

Truly, there are many inadequacies in our film industry but Edochie's approach through his comments is totally wrong and can never be right under any circumstances.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Gives Okada Riders Fresh Ultimatum by GNBohr: 1:41pm On Aug 16, 2010
e don tay wey me i no say nigerians are baboons and deserve to be ruled by baboons and like baboons.

I cant not imagine anybody defending the use of okada having seen all the problems associated with it. Anyone who is sdane will definitely know that the disadvantages far outweighs the advantages.

If you want to do a debate on the merits and evils of okada, you can open a thread on it. The fact remains that it is simply insane. I ride okada and that would never make me to support its continuous use as commercial transport.

How insane can one get!!! Commutting between Ikorodu and Lekki, Sango and Apapa, Iba and VI, and so on and so forth. It is so bad that short distances that will not take the slowest walker longer that 5 minutes are commutted on okada.

In any society, no matter how advanced or undeveloped, there should be order. There can never be any development whatsoever in the midst of disorder and chaos. Lagos is the most chaotic place to move around amongst all mordern societies, even you can not walk in peace and quiet with okada riders mindless behaviour and attitude.

The meanness with which they ride speaks of a demented kind of people eager to unleash disaster in communities. No one is immune to their uncontrolled and reckless disposition, it is as if they are possessed by destructive spirits.

Making use of okada as an alternative source of living does not warrant the mindlessness they display and the kind of havoc they cause. I bet you okada is not the only alternative available. As for crime, it will always be there.

For once let us live like sane people even if we are poor. You can only be rich when you are alive, sound in mind and physically able.

I plead for your patience to read this.

My people this is business not sentiments. Why are those claiming to feel sorry for HiTv being sentimental and uneccessarily patriotic in their submission. Why wont we for once try to be reasonably objective and learn hard but true lessons from this HiTv misadventure. Afterall this is not the first business premised on a model that is highly unsustainable. In any business model you require three things to drive sustenance, these are: Vision, Competence and Discipline

You need vision to start any venture and living the vision require competence in forms of knowledge, skill, attitude, people, finance, technology and customer relationship. The discipline is what is required in management in order to continuously meet targets and surpass them, amongst all the forms of discipline, financial discipline is critical.

Considering HiTv issue, clearly they failed in what matters most and I will take you on a short route:

Toyin Subair worked for so long with DSTV and lived on their money and learnt their business and got his HiTV vision from them. At that time no one is saying South Africans are bad. At that time they were not doing capital flight. Some accussed MTN but where were your thieving billionaires when the first round of GSM licence were being offered.?

Toyin fought a good battle against monopoly in the DTH business knowing fully well that that is the meaning of buying a right. We all supported him but what did he do with the victory? He became a worst monopolist. He sold our Nigerian broadcast right to the British. How? From $4million, he forked out $36million just to force his own brand of monopoly on Nigerians. What did we get?? You all can answer to that question.

You people said he needed 15 years in order to build content just like DSTV. I tell you go and ask Glo and Adenuga how he competed with the MTN and even pushed Zain from second place. MTN had been operating almost a decade in other African countries before coming to Nigeria and started two clear years ahead of Glo. Nigerians are no patronising Glo because it is a Nigerian company but because Glos is giving us a near equal if not better alternative.

Toyin's HiTV fought all the stakeholders in the business, more depressingly other Nigerian owned DTH companies when he needed to build alliances. He with one silly move destroy all the public trust he built by harrassing his corporate customers, something his predeccessor and powerful teacher ans competitor did not and is not doing. Toying did not build a sustainable structure, his service was poorer, his content unattractive, his pricing questionable, his methods antithetic, his technology far behind. His business model too presumptious.

If Toyin had really palnned for the sustainability of his venture, he would not have experienced this. Let me tell you, you bought a right far too exorbitantly beyond what is reasonably sustainable because you wanted to prove a silly point of " I can also do it". What is the business sense in offering to buy a product hitherto sold at $4million at $36million. This is extreme madness. You only made the seller realised how poorly he has been pricing his commodity. Common economic and commercial sense will tell the seller to increase the price at the same or higher rate when next you or another buyer come asking for it.

Try and calculate the percentage increase from $4m to $36m, that is 800%. Now from $36 to $100 that he went to stupidly bid for, again outbidding DSTV, that is 177.77%. Yet he could not pay and you all are here blaming Sanusi. Toyin's HiTV could not and did not do the simple thing Sanusi is telling everybody - Risk Analysis. Simple. GT Bank did not get the guarantee just like their name suggests, may be simply because they did their own Risk Analysis. Did Sanusi tell Toyin to go and claim what he is not.

You people talk about pricing, what did you expect when somebody bought a commodity for $36m instead of $4m, for him to resell such non-deteriorating product he will have to add his profit margin, logistic costs and all other value added costs. So when your honourable Subair jerked his subscription from 3,500 naira to 6,000 naira, you now know why. He was even considerate because the increment is merely 71.43%. Just for one product when his competitor(s) have sundry products.

If DSTV decides to increase subscription from the present 9,500 naira, please know where to lay your blame. Calculate this, from $4m to $100m is 2,400%. That is the price DSTV has to pay to reclaim their mandate. The business of DTH was introduced and developed by DSTV in Nigeria. They know their turf. All other talk is just cheap blackmail. Hundreds Nigerians work directly for DSTV and Toyin Subair is one of their products and former employee. Thousands of Nigerians still work indirectly with and for DSTV.

Toyin needs some basic lessons in business and because he was in a foolish hurry, he failed to learn them and is paying for it by learning the hard way. Toyin is a Yoruba man and his people always say that it he who has money that owns business, they also say that it is money that is used in producing money.

Let him start all over again, it is not too late. He may decide to consult Adenuga for some hard lessons in falling and rising up again, a la CIL and Glo.

I have had my say, for those who wants to whip up sentiments and patriotism, I wish all the best. But remember in the business of making money, there is nothing like sentiments and patriotism. Good luck to you all.

Sorry for any grammatical error and misspellings, I wrote this in a hurry.

Sorry for any grammatical error and misspellings, I wrote this in a hurry.

Why is Christianity so controversial and volatile amongst Christians. The faith has been overwhelmingly denominated to the extent that churhes dont see eye to eye in their mode of worship and preachings. This idea of getting a call has become so fraudulently applied that you wonder what these calls are all about. Different versions of the bible that do not seem to be saying the same thing on issues makes the whole religion confusing.

Take this for consideration: celestial church goers cant worship in cherubim and seraphim; CAC will not worship in Apostolic Faith; Jehovah's Witness will not worship in any other church; Assembly of God totally distance from Church of Latter Saints; Anglican will not worship in Catholic, Methodist is averse to Baptist, Presbyterians will not go to worship in African Church of Christ, the Pentecostals are worst, Redeemers stay off Winners, RHEMA averse to Deeper Life, KICC is not worshiping with Love World; Latter Rain members will not touch Household of God for worship. Synagogue is a different case entirely. You can continue till JESUS comes.

Yet they are all christians, they are all churches, they are all pastors, reverends, archbishops, prophets, cardinals, etc. The faith has become polarised, diluted and corrupted with human minds and interests. These interests include politics, culture, tradition, heresy, commerce, sexualism, regionalism, tribalism, cultism and professional consultancy. The doctrine polarisation and pollution in christianity today started with the Roman adoption of the faith as a state religion and further corrupted by the political differences beween the Pope and the English King that led to the emergency of Anglican church. It has become a curse such that once there is leadership and doctrine dispute/tussle in the church, the resultant effect is the church breakage into factions leading ultimately to the emergence of another nomenclatured denomination with the leading pastor claiming receiving a divine call. Greed Control and Power is the root cause of all these tributaries.

That is why church has become a huge socio-economic organisation with mission statements, visions, targets, business principles and policies, operational strategies, business development models, expansionism and diversification plans and programmes. The goals have become profit oriented, publicity and advertisement, product innovations and packaging, mergers and acquisitions.

In Nigeria, while commercial businesses are collapsing, the church businesses are booming, the former premises of commerce have being taken over by church branches, chapels, parishes and chapters. Where there is poverty and deprivation, church business grows. Where there is ignorance and lack of study, lies, concoction and manipulations rules. The real BIBLE says my people perishes for lack of knowledge. An African idiom says, in the land of blind people, a one-eyed person becomes the ruler.

Nigerians go to school but dont study, dont research, dont query, dont analyse, dont show objectivity, dont antagonise, very complacent, very timid and feeble minded, dont display intelectual capability when it comes to religion. That is why they remain experimental tools in the hands of challatans calling themselves men of GOD. The question is who is not a man of GOD and who will call himself a man of Devil.

Have you heard of charmers, enchanters, sorcerers, conjurers, magician, witchcraft and wizadry before. these group of people used a muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to execute things in the spiritual realm to have a physical effect.

these people are sometimes and loosely refer to as Oloogun in yoruba but their practices are of different modes and approaches. you can not know one easily from another unless you are conversant with the spiritual realm.

The babalawos are called the seers or clairvoyance or generally as diviners. they also use muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to solve spiritual problems, sees into the future, avert future disasters, to make choices amongst competing forces, physical or ecclesiastical. they also serve as healers.

The Onisegun, Basegun are the healers and are also generally refers to as herbalist. they also use muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to cure diseases of various kind. they can easily be compared to the present day orthodox doctors or pharmacists. the only difference being that the functionality of drug preparations and administrations are not separated.

The Awos are the occultists and are of various kinds, mostly divided into two major clans - the white and the black. the whites are known for good deeds and the black are known for bad or evil deeds. they mostly believe in representing and continuing the legacy of a spiritual being, collectively known as gods. priesthood belong to these sects. the ogbonis belong to this sect as well.

The ologuns are the warriors and are called different names in different yoruba climes like akoguns, baloguns, jagunjaguns, etc. they also use muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to wage wars.

The Olodes are hunters beside hunting for games and food and for commerce, they also serve as security guards and soldiers for their communities. they aslo make use of muliplexity of natural elements like air, water, earth, fire and herbs to hunt and secure their communities. they can be loosely called the police.

I have watched events with studied eyes and listened with rapt attention to all discussions and comments everywhere since the FG declaration of Football Suspension for all FIFA organised or is it "arranged" tournaments. My take is not on the merits and demerits of the declaration but on the vexed threat of FIFA ban on Nigeria.

For goodness sake, who is FIFA deceiving with their talk of non-interference by governments. It is a known fact that in our part of the world, I mean in Africa, government run sports including football. FIFA knows this and even acknowledges it. In countries like Nigeria, where government build stadia, organises football competition, fund football association, establishes and run football clubs, employs and trains coaches and referees. Yet FIFA says it doesnt want government interference.

When FIFA wants to have countries to host football tournaments they will demand for government guarantee, they will want to know how much government is going to put into the organising the tournaments in terms of security, building and upgrading of stadia, roads, medical facilities and other infrastructures. During their so called visitations to ascertain the state of readiness of such countries, they will visit state governors, visit ministers, vice presidents and presidents. Yet FIFA abhors government interference.

FIFA will not reject government when it fund football, when it financed hosting of tournaments when it pays salaries, allowances and match bonuses but when that same government raises voice and plan to look into football affairs, hypocritical FIFA will shout "NON INTERFERENCE" This is the shame of FIFA and is what kills football, particularly in Africa.

FOR ME, FIFA CAN GO TO HELL!!!!!!!!
SportsRe: Lagerback's list of 44 released by the NFF by GNBohr: 1:34pm On Apr 19, 2010
Finally, the world cup result for Nigeria is here and out. With this list and crop of players, Nigeria is out in the first round. We can not beat Argentina, we can not beat South Korea, we may possibly draw with Greece.

Largerback can not create something out of nothing. We have known it long before now, Nigeria has no player to perform at the World Cup level but we refuse to face that reality. Am happy the reality has stared us in the face.

Every football watching and loving Nigerian can easily predict the final 23 players for the mundial. Without being unnecessarily sentimental and patriotic or even parochial, we have no team to prosecute the tournament.

The team that will come out of this list will only be good for participation and not for competition. That is the most painfull reality. Let's hope they will go down fighting and give us some exciting display to cheer about. Don't count on any progressive result.

CelebritiesRe: Nigerian Divas And The 'orobo' Syndrome. by GNBohr: 1:17pm On Apr 16, 2010
Topic, opinions, comments and reactions very subjective.

You dont have to be stereotypical about your ideas on size. All those white lepas you people prefer are nothing but plastic having undergone sundry and several plastic surgeries to display plastic eye lids, noses, lips, cheeks, breast, hips, tummies, fannies, legs, hands, teeths, and so on and so forth.

Nothing is natural about such beauties. You people are not really appreciative of natural beauty. Though am not subscribing to the idea of blowing out of proportion but if you dont know that it is the nature of blackwoman to grow body size, then you ought not come as a black human being.

The same affliction that drove Michael Jackson into a gory sight before his death by trying yo change his black nature is most possibly afflicting you all.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Messi Vs Rooney: Who Is Better For 2009/10 Season? by GNBohr: 2:04pm On Mar 22, 2010
The two are contestably the best in the game at the moment both on scoring form anf general contribution to team game. At international level, there is a little different which depends on the tactics of the coach.

All in all, what will decide the best out of the two is the winner of the Champions league and the Premier/La Liga.

If Manu wins both Rooney will be crowned the King but if Barca will both, then Messi retains his crown while CR9 will be a distant third. Sentiments apart.

Torres for now is in the wilderness. David Villa is much better than Torres at the moment both for club and country.
CareerRe: Zenith Bank's Employment by GNBohr: 4:25pm On Mar 12, 2010
This is a very interesting topic and the poster have every right to complain. In the first place, he get what he deserves. In the second place, the bank management staff policy is damn exploitative.

Many graduates would rather focus on applying for bank jobs alone because of the erroneously perceived status and image. They turned around some few months into the job to complain of corporate slavery.

Successive workers in most of these banks, particularly those in the so called "second generation" banks have wittingly signed their welfare away and in the process mortgaged their future and that of coming generation of workers.

I remenbered vividly when about some fifteen years ago when I was working in the insurance sector and NUBIFIE and ASSBIFIE wanted a collective agreement on staff welfare. Due to parochial interest, selfishness, unbriddled arrogance and lack of comradeship and vision, the management of banks then was able to convince and entice their workers to distance themselves from the collective agreement.

The banks then got their workers to sign a commitment of non-unionism and so through their folly lost out in the regular review of staff welfare that is normally anchored and coordinated by these financial institutions junior and senior staff unions.

Then the workers of these banks became aloof, arrogant and remain in self delusion that their management will always seek their best interest without they having a united platform to fight for their welfare.

The bank workers brought these calamities on themselves. Look at it this way, after consolidation the bank management became reckless, corrupt and mindless in their decisions and activities. The insurance industry was consolidated and every stakeholders including the trade unions were involved. The unions negotiated every welfare including disengagement with their management, individually and collectively.

Insurance workers can take up his collective agreement document and knows what he/she is entitled to during work, out of work, resignation, retirement or termination. I am not too sure if a bank worker have such document to rely on or file a suit on against a non complying management.

The point is trade union is very weak or absolutely non existent in Nigerian Banks. The present day bank workers are now suffering the folly of the predessesor.

The only thing that can stop this apparent exploitation and work slavery is for the banks to begin to have strong local unions and then reaffliate their local unions to the national body. I am not a unionist but am well versed in labour union's purposes and advantages. Don't get me wrong, no labour union can avert mass sack in underperforming organisations or companies that are going under, but they sure can provide soft landing and prevent workers' exploitation and unsavoury human resources practices and policies.

The question is will the mordern day bank workers be ready to fight for each other, this is my fear and my doubt. They are too comfortable in their comfort zones to realise that when push becomes shove, the effect will be all-encompassing as we are witnessing now.

To the bank management, it is a wrong personnel policy not to make a worker's pay commensurate with his job responsibilities and expectations. Of course corporate management and managers the world over are exploitators and slave drivers. If you dont know that now then you are not ready to work in corporations.

To job seekers, it is true there are no jobs but dont sign your life a way to a job that will take everything from you and replace it with almost nothing. I have a family friend whose first son became mentally impaired because he was given a wrong treatment by househelp because both the mother and the father works in banks. The mother later resigned after the damage has been done in order to have time to look at her children.

If you take up such job having fully been made aware of its requirement or after having found out about its requirement, please give your best, look out for better opportunities or keep your peace till eternity.

Any hyped game only always ends up a drab match. Too much noise pre-match ups expectations but leads to disappoinment.
The same happened to Inter-Barca first leg match at San Siro.
I will not be surprised or disappointed when the match ends up devoid of any spectacular game.
The two teams will play defensively with Chelsae hoping to use Drogba in counter attack.

I expect to see some temper flying resulting in a red card. In all, no goals will be recorded.

Deadi bodi, deadi bodi get accident, Yee paa
Na double wahala for deadi bodi and the owner of deadi bodi. (FELA ANIKULAPO THE GREAT)

The theatrics of the parties in Yar Adua saga will definitely come to an end very soon. Theories abound why Yar Adua was quickly packaged for a return journey home. Whatever the theories and reasons, one thing is very clear, his days in power are almost over like the passing moon. With the stunts pulled by those close to him in denying Nigerians access to him, Yar Adua has lost political support and his power base strongly eroded locally and in the comity of nations.

The changes that took place in Nigeria while he was away is so enormous that it would take a stouter and stronger Yar Adua to stop. The core of politicians that would have hitherto defer to him has realigned and positioned themselves for a post Yar Adua politics. In his medically and physically unfit condition, politics have left him behind.

Many have just realised that Yar Adua was never in power but rules through the eyes, voices and hands of those who has no constitutional right to do so. This reality has recalibrated the equation in a manner not favourable to Yar Adua's presidency. The fact has emerged that he will not be fit to continue particularly at a time crucial to 2011 election.

His arrival is to put nails into his political coffin. The entire political class is not happy with Turai's disregard and disdain for the enitre political leadership and structure while she was in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

I have no pity or advice for Yar Adua and his bunch except that he will definitely get the treatment that he deserves - that is - political oblivion.

Wonderful. Sanity is returning to our banking institutions. The era of sit tightism is over. There will be creation of opportunities for professionals to aspire to the pinnacle of the banking career.

People can now aspire to be the CEO of their banks or other banks rather being limited because an individual has turned himself or herself into a monarchy.

Kudos CBN and NDIC for this new policy.
