NzogbuNzogbu: the foolish thing now is if refinery needs masses prayers abi hope before it can function
You should even be happy the people are not hopeful or optimistic abt anything from apc
One would think tinubu would have still performed with the low exepectation but no
Should every one just be a zombie praising tinubu and having faith becos against nothing when magic doesn't solve governance Are you among the pessimists who only believes in bad news? Are you among those who frown at good news because you believe nothing good can come from the people in power? The Bible said that God use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. God's way is not our ways. Not a fan of bulaba or apc though. But I have trained mind to all do away with bitterness. |

deji17: It's not just about fall in price. It's about job creation for Nigerians, sustainability of the refineries and of course affordability. Affordability does not necessarily mean, fall in price. Also, throwing other energy source into the mix like electricity, natural gas, etc will lead to less reliance on gasoline. It's a combination of many things. Not just a single thing. |

He thought he could outsmart the Northerners who people believed were backwards and easy to manipulate. He was outsmarted instead and got a ceremonial presidential position while the North got the powerful Prime Minister position. We were running a parliamentary system during that era. I still wonder why igbos see Awolowo as a betrayer whereas, history has it that it was Azikiwe that actually betrayed Awolowo and other southern leaders and went to form coalition with the northern leaders instead of meeting with Awo in delta. So, in a nutshell Azikiw's greed is the reason why I am sharing the same country with Omo igbos and they keep accusing us of not letting them go to form Biafra. It is well o |

Thank you for sharing.
63 years after, the Yoruba is still the richest, most advanced and the most sophisticated in Nigeria and Africa.
Like the offshoot of the dorminant Yoruba political movement (Action Group) that now has a strong political alliance with its then political adversary Northern region, and today has the coveted prize of Nigeria's Presidency, other tribes have made some progress too ,especially in the East where unclothedness has been significantly abolished and North where more female children now has access to western education.

Most Nigerian police officers are criminals. Two officers { a male and a female) flagged me down some weeks ago @ area 11, they claim I beat traffic whereas I didn't.
Before I could say a word, they jumped into my car and told me to keep driving.. Omoh! I drove towards finance bridge and stopped. The male officer threatened to shoot me if I provoke him. I told him I am going to 'end it' with all of us. I was speeding towards the bridge and I told the female officer that none of us will survive as I will ram into one of the culverts.
She started shouting on me to stop. She claimed she just got married. Omoh, I eventually pulled over and after much argument, we started laughing. Las Las they still collected 2k from me after wasting almost 1hour of my time. Police are rogues. |

Politics › Re: Peter Obi Compares Nigeria’s Budget, Poverty Rate With China’s. Is He Correct? by Godfullsam(m): 10:05am On Dec 09, 2023 |
humilitypays: There is nothing like attitudinal change, Nigerians need to be bold and demand for total division of Nigeria or complete restructuring of Nigeria to reduce power at the federal level in order for Nigerian leaders to be held accountable.
The current one Nigeria is not working, will never work and can never work due to too many tribes and religion making Nigerians not to be united in revolting against bad leaders and useless government policies.
It is government laws, policies and institutions that instill discipline into people all over the world. The Whiteman is as corrupt as the black man but the Whiteman being wise and smart first made sure they built strong government institutions, laws, policies to ensure human greed, selfishness and corruption is managed to the barest minimum through government institutions and working system.
Nigerians have become aware and angry about the failure of successive Nigerian governments and are desiring positive change but what is holding Nigerians down from pursuing this change with one voice and one goal is tribalism (ethnicism) and religious division.
If Nigeria is made up of Yorubas alone for instance, I can guarantee you that they will not allow someone like Bola Tinubu to lead their nation and if by any chance they do allow him, they will rise up together against him demanding for his resignation or immediate amendments.
Same applies if Nigeria was a country that comprise only of Hausas or Fulanis, they wouldn't have condoned Buhari's failure for 8 good years, they would have revolted against him in oneness without division.
It is citizens that hold leaders accountable but due to tribalism and religious division, Nigerian leaders cannot be held accountable by Nigerian citizens who are mostly divided along tribal and religious lines.
So dividing Nigeria into smaller countries comprising of people of same tribe/religion will reduce the leadership failures because people will be united in revolting against bad leaders without having tribal or religious coloration.
If Nigeria is a country of one tribe, believe me, APC can never return to power.
Don't mention States that what about states, Nigerian states have no power, Presidency controls everything in Nigeria.
State Governors don't even have control over the Police operating in their state. Thank you so much for this outburst. Nigeria should be bold enough to demand total peaceful division/dissolution of this entity or restructuring at the very least. A Nigeria with only one tribe can not allow people like tinubu, Obi or Buhari to contest for president. They are failures but Tribalism and religious sentiment will always make Nigerians vote for bad leaders. |
