LesbianBoy: Only in nigeria, can a president's wife GBAGAUN and yet they still allow her make public speechHarry potter had 8 parts..... Problem? |
Zechy09: This thread is as a result of numerous threads on nairaland about nigerians in diaspora suffering so much. I want to create an avenue for nigerians abroad to encourage one another and tell the ones about to come that that it is not that bad. I will start with my story.:What you are saying is very true. I have family members who work in the US and UK who are doing pretty well for themselves; live in nice houses and drive pretty good cars. The thing is there are also some who are doing menial jobs who don't have all that luxury. My point is that there are Nigerians who are doing excellently in Nigeria and the ones not privileged enough to do so well, same applies to Nigerians in diaspora. My major problem with some of the diaspora Nigerians is that they feel all Nigerians who reside in the country are suffering and often feel they are better than Nigerians living in Nigeria. They are also very quick to criticize or disregard any progress in Nigeria and believe they have all the answers to the problems in Nigeria. |
kingoflag: I'm really at my wits end and am trying to be civil. Normally, at this point, I'd have cussed your as*s out. So, please, fu*ck off if you have nothing better to discuss about with me than trying to get in a game of verbal gymnastics.Oh yea?....you don't mean it!!!......it's obvious you have no point to put across.. . |
kingoflag: And I said he agreed to just one term! As in 4yrs, not the 8 he's now trying to seek, or the 15-Life which he's trying to bamboozle you all into.So your point exactly is.......?? |
kingoflag: Dude, lemme break something down to you:LOOL, no sir!!...I'm sure your daddy needs the crumbs.... We don't ![]() |
kingoflag: Its a damn shame. But I guess when poverty is all you know.....Please don't write trash.....please ![]() |
kingoflag: Whoa! See why I said you guys are dunces? Didn't the same GEJ say he wouldnt contest for a 2nd term?Guy! You should also read what I said.......I said not more than two tenures " tow terms" as in eight years..... |
nkem Kalu: NIGERIA IS IMPROVING KO, NIGERIA IMPROVING NI......ELECTRICITY KO, ELECTRICITY NI. POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK. NIGERIA AND CAMEROON ARE ON THE SAME ECONOMIC STANDSTILL...FULLSTOPUtter Rubbish.....not the Nigeria I live in Aii ![]() |
kingoflag: Do not be deceived. loool Nigerians are hilarious. You will get your Electricity, but your joy will be short-lived. They know majority of you are forgetful and that if you get a drop of water every 20 years you'll forget that you're in hell and only look forward to the next drop of water. If you think GEJ has abandoned his plans to rule you forever, think again. You guys are in trouble and until you chase this corrupt government out of power it will be 1 step forward, 1000 steps backwards. They play you guys like yo-yos and, I won't lie, its kinda hilarious to see you guys falling for their tricks all the time.Oh yea?....well...from what you've said, it's either you are not Nigerian, you don't care about Nigeria or you have denied Nigeria. Therefore I would plead with you to get your utterly rubbish comments off this thread!!. "1 step forward, 1000 steps backwards" dude!!, have you been to Nigeria recently? Are you so ignorant?..... One simple fact I'll tell you is that GEJ cannot and will not rule for more than two tenures.... And yes! Nigerians are jumping and happy because of an average 18 hrs of electricity. This means less petrol or diesel for their generators on daily basis, hence they are able to save money, if you don't see it as an improvement othats totally your business and I don't know if you just expect 24/7 electricity in Nigeria just like that. It is a gradual process and at least there is evident improvement in the growth and distribution of power, Nigeria will ne able to generate 24/7 electricity in no time. |
If Jonathan can fix the power sector a lot of things will fall into place,; transportation, security, job creation and several others. If GEJ fixes power, that alone would raise the GDP of Nigeria in the nearest years to come and Nigeria can only move forward from there. I will vote GEJ come 2015, so far there is improvement in the country and there is no better candidate as at then. |
Please!! Most of them were probably born there and may have not even visited Nigeria once or they are immigrants of some sort who preferred their immigrant countries to Nigeria. Frankly they are entitled to where they want to represent and it's really no big deal. Nigeria also has athletes of all sorts, we've won medals previously and we will also win in the future to come......like!! Lets get This straight It's not a do or die affair!!! |
So people shouldn't have an opinion of their own? This is not the middle east!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when your opinion is very shallow, and undoubtedly stupid.....then you should be hushed, because that opinion is total and utter rubbish!! |
gst101: godogwu i am sorry to offend you and your people. But i am tired of hearing igbos blame other people for their woes. If not becos i read your last post, i did not know that there are igbos who still want to stay in this country who still want to be nigerians and support anything nigeria even if it has to do with the malo. I am sorry to bring the tribal thing into this.its just that, the most people i hear this from are igbos and its not only on the internet but also out here. Once again i am sorry and i am not going to repeat the tribal thing anymoreI understand, but there are always the ignorant ones in any group and I'm sure igbos are no exception so this very much justifies your marginalizing the igbos. I am not all about tribalism, I am for a One Nigeria. |
I know some people will come here and start talking rubbish. This is NOLLYWOOD and not Hollywood!!, do not compare the both of them side by side, Hollywood is by far more advanced; they started making movies there a lot earlier (the 1850s), they also put a whole lot of money into production, hence their big box offices. NOLLYWOOD isn't even up to 20 years old and only a few directors can put in a huge amount into their movies..finally the N20m was just from the UK release, it has just started showing in nigerian cinema's.... And I'm pretty sure more money will be made. |
gst101: i have come to discover that most of the people who are envious of dangote's wealth are igbos. This is becos, even though they widely aclaimed to be industrious, they have not been able to make it as much as he has. What is wrong in gtting the govt to put in place policies to favour you? Thats how capitalism works! Why didnt all of the igbo bus men get the govt to do the same for them? And pls dont give me that nonsense that igbos are marginalised that the govt wouldnt listen to them. Turning 500k naira then to 11bn dollar now in a difficult bus terrain like naija must be the work of a genius!I'm igbo -_____- and I am not envious of his wealth one bit!!, and I don't bloody care if he's Muslim, Hausa, igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw or whatever!..i just love the fact that he is Nigerian!! And Nigeria needs more people like him. Please don't bring tribalism into this, It's utter rubbish!!! |
dangote is self made as stated by forbes. Every company he owns he started from scratch. Even where he is a partner, he always has the lion share. He is not an "evil monopolist" as u most of you think. DANGOTE group is just an ULTIMATE VOLUME PLAYER. which means they enter a market and produce more QUANTITY than the existing companies & circulate though their vast HAULAGE system. They always leverage on PRICING, LOGISITICS & CUSTOMER SERVICE. every product they manufacture has other active players. SUGAR, SALT, AGRO-SACKS, FLOUR, CEMENT, HAULAGE, DANSA JUICE, MOWA WATER, PASTA(spaghhetti/macaroni/noodles), PETIT TOMATO PASTE, ZIZA MILK, TELECOMS(ALHEIRI) and OIL & GAS. dangote is a consistent business man that creates the largest employment in NIGERIA. he is a de-tribalised nigerian as most of his friends are yorubas and igbos, establishing industries not just in the north but all over the nation. dangote is a philantropist per excellence. HE CREATES MEGA INCOME FOR STATE & FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THROUGH TAXES. the same hatred most people on this thread av for him is directed towards bill gates(microsoft), larry ellison(oracle), mark zukerberg(facebook), michael dell(Dell), donald trump(trump group) and other entrepreneurs who have dominated their market in america. other software makers in america beleives bill gates is running a monopoly while all microsoft does is giving customers value added products as bonus. when u buy the windows operating system, u get windows explorer(an internet browser) as bonus. other social networking site owner's hate facebook with a passion e.g "myspace.com". for your information, the best is yet to come for DANGOTE GROUP. MICROSOFT, ORACLE, DELL, FACEBOOK, SKPE, WAL-MART, VIRGIN AIRLINE all enjoy government support in AMERICA so please stop the hate. IF WE HAVE JUST 36-DANGOTES IN NIGERIA(one for each state), WE WILL BE DEVELOPED TODAY. MANY RICH NIGERIANS ARE JUST LAUDERING MONEY IN FOREIGN BANKS, INSTEAD OF ESTABLISHING INDUSTRIES TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC GROWTH. Take Dangote cement for example. He is creatin employment in over 8-african countries. Please we should celebrate this man and stop crucifyin him for having good relationship skills of blending with those in power. The man just donated N900million to edo state. Dangote Cement is a fully integrated cement company and has projects and operations in Nigeria, Benin and Ghana; with total existing production and import capacity of 14 million tonnes per annum and new production projects in development with 11.1 million tonnes per annum additional capacity. The Company operates the Obajana Cement Plant (OCP), the largest cement plant in sub-Saharan Africa. Aggressive growth plans target a strong pan-African presence as Dangote Cement evolves to become a truly multi-national corporation. As part of this drive, Dangote Cement is committed to making Nigeria a net exporter of cement. The company owns four terminals, two in Lagos and two in Port Harcourt through which it currently imports cement. These operations will progressively be replaced and converted into export terminals as new production capacity comes online in Nigeria. CEMENT - NIGERIA PLANTS: 1. Obajana Cement Plc, Kogi 2. Power plant of capacity 135 mw - gas / diesel based. Dangote is the number one entrepreneur in AFRICA. He is self made
You've said it all!!! |
chucky234: Does that made him a self made billionaire? Maybe you and Billyonaire should find out the value of N500,000 in 1977,70% of people who are opportuned to receive such loan in 1977 will still be a millionaire today. Get a N2,000,000 loan from a relative (without interest) to start a business then come back in five years to tell us if you are still a church rat that you are today, leave that your wikipedia and use your God given brain to think.N500,000 would be an equivalent of N50m today. I'm sure you'd agree that transforming N50m or even N500m into $11.2 billion ( that's trillions of Naira) can qualify him as a self made billionaire, so cheers ![]() |
Jarus: So Wiki is Gospel truth? The same Wiki that entered Obafemi Martins as an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, before I raised alarm on NL here about 3 years ago and it was edited?Nope it's not.....but by Forbes this guy is worth $11.2 million (estimated) and he is noted as " self-made" and an entrepreneur. |
Billyonaire: Its wrong, gabbage in, gabbage out.Oh yea? He's still a self made billionaire #Fact |
chucky234: Dangote's wealth started from his grandfather Alhassan Dantata then his uncle Aminu Dantata, the man is never a self made and will never be one.Fact still remains that his wealth grew by over 500% in 2010, wouldn't you agree that was self made?.....well he did inherit $11.2 billion from his maternal grandfather or politicians or whatever, he made a great chunk of it himself, hence he is a self-made billionaire....Forbes even states so! |
Jarus: It's NGN500k not US$. Your Google source is wrongDude I'm using Wikipedia... Here's a link on Dangote http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliko_Dangote |
chucky234: $500,000? Never heard that before, but the moment he received the 400k he was made by someone else not to mention all the favours and illicit dealings with the military big boys in the 80s - 90s then the civilian government of OBJ.Just google the guy... Wiki states it that he was loaned $500,000 by his uncle. He was working with his uncle after his education in Cairo |
SmoothCrim: one billionaire yet 75 percent of the population lives on less than ONE dollar a day!!!This one dollar a day shi makes me sick!!. Dude! $1=N160, less than that a day is virtually impossible ( you will die!!!). Nigeria has a population of about 167 million people and by what you just said about 125 million people live on less than N160 a day? Fat Lie!!!, even my gateman lives on more than $5 a day... Even if there are such people in Nigeria which I greatly doubt, they do not make up 75% of the population, that's a whole load of rubbish. |
buzugee: alot of you people have got your priorities in life screwed up. yes you are right, if we had 20 Dangotes in nigeria, nigeria will never be the same. it will be extremely messed up. worse than it is now. you people who aspire to be billionaires fail to see the big picture which is there is a finite amount of money which has to go round to meet everyones needs. by you being a billionaire, you have accrued the wealth of like 1000 people and hence you have put 1000 people in poverty unwittingly and unknowingly. see you cant see past your nose because all you see is the billion dollars in your account. you dont see the lives destroyed by you sitting on that billion dollars. when you see a HEARSE, do you ever see a UHAUL truck behind it ? you cant and will not take it with you to the grave. so this obsession with being billionaires is satanic. its covetousness and greed. If what your saying actually makes sense, why isn't the US worse off?, they have a lot of billionaires that dominate specific markets......fact that some people on nairaland can't face is that there must be rich and poor people, that's what creates balance in the society. Lets get it straight EVERYONE CAN'T BE A MILLIONAIRE!!!!..... There must be poor people to serve the rich in every society and the number of the poor people would always be much greater than that of the rich... This is fact!! |
Fact is Aliko Dangote is a self made billionaire!. He was not given $500,000 as a gift by his uncle but as loan which he has obviously paid back in full. You must not be a farmer then and a billionaire now before it can be stated that you are self made. Some people from rich homes end up poor because of the mismanagement of their funds, but he was able to more than triple the loan given to him. This man today is worth $11.2 billion (estimated) that's Trillions of Naira......N900m could be N90,000 to him and even in the US, politicians get supported by millionaires and billionaires too. I watched an MTV interview of dangote where he was asked the most expensive thing he has ever bought himself and he replied " the most expensive toy I've bought for myself would be my private jet for $50 million" and we have pastors like oyedepo who are not even worth a quarter of this guy and he has three aircrafts. In the interview dangote also states that he works 18 hours every week day, some billionaires would even bother to be at their offices, this guy is diligent. Fact still remains that with the loan and he's family's riches, he is still a self made billionaire. |
mruknaijaboy: was it not davido who got slapped by police officers for him trying to claim authority over them? shouting at them saying how dare they stop his car and saying do you know who my father is etc? why would people not believe this?No offense tho, but were you there to know that he uttered those words? And if I were to believe that story; I guess it also mentioned that he may have been high.... And besides almost every Nigerian that has a little money tries to pick on the police because some of them are known to use their offices to intimidate the average citizen...so that still doesn't give me the right to believe he did this....this is just a one sided story |
https://i.imgur.com/Ic7Pe.jpg
That's just way too shallow!!! |
I'm still baffled at how everyone is quick to believe the taxi driver but say crap about davido. So the guy would just go and beat up some taxi driver? The story even sounds funny...... Some people are now connecting his videos to his life style.... Like oh my God! How is it doing you, yes!, he is rich!, and his father is even way richer....... He can blab about it all day everyday, in his songs and even in his prayers if he likes.....I really don't care!. I know too many wealthy people, went to a school where you can't even brag about shi because it's no news to anyone.....but my point still remains that some people here want to believe all what the taxi guy said but don't want to hear a word from davido, just because he brags a lot?? |
Just curious, how many of you would willingly trade your Green passport for a Red, Blue or any other... |
The people who believe this rubbish ...... You can't just phantom the immensity of help they need!! |
flames77: I sensed somtin about this boys since the time i watched thier video whit rickross, because what i know about the illuminati is that;if you are not a member, you wount b able to sing whit who is their member.FOOL!!!!! ![]() |
I really don't get why some people are calling them names, like are you that envious or you just love dissing people. They didnt announce on NTA or CNN " hey its Peter fom psquare and we just spent N50m on our mum's burial because thats how we roll " or tweet it.....these are just " I hear say them say" talks, no one actually knows how much they have spent and frankly, it's no ones business if they spend their whole worth on their mum's burial....it's their MONEY!!!!! |
