Osyxcel: RN7P is more powerful especially because of the GPU, while the A50 should be better in terms of efficiency. A gamer should pick the RN7P, while someone interested in all round performance should probably pick the A50. The camera on the RN7P should do better than A50, but then software optimization is really important and could make a difference. Mind you, A50 uses a wide angle sensor, an extra one for ultrawide angle, then the depth sensor and they all have smaller apertures compared to the RN7P with only one secondary depth sensing camera.
In terms of screen, no need for comparison, A50 tops easily. I'm terms of power, the results should be similar although the CPU on A50 tend to be slightly more power efficient. Software optimization will play a big role here.
My opinion. I'll still pick the A50 over RN7P. Amoled is sweet. In camera, A50 tops Xiaomi both front and back |

jaymichael: On paper, the Samsung A50 should outperform the RN7. You cannot compare the more recent and Exynos 9610 10nm chipset on the A50 to the Snapdragon 660 on the RN7. The Samsung A50 has a better gpu so expect better graphics and gaming experience. I have seen and handled the A50 small and I can tell you that the phone is 'glossy' and it's operations is smooth and fluid. The battery should last longer than the RN7 based on the more Power efficient chipset based on the 10nm manufacturing process. I don't know if the Samsung One UI is better than the Redmi miui. What I will prefer with the RN7 over the Samsung A50 is the IR blaster. I wonder why Samsung hates the IR blaster. Like I said some pages back, it's unfair comparing both as they are not in the same price range ( though my comparison was with the mi 9 SE which is the same price range as A50). In all fairness, the little comments I've seen on this thread, nobody has remotely suggested that Xiaomi is better than Samsung. Remember Samsung is a premium brand and one of the very best in the game. From my review of this thread, I realized the selling point of Xiaomi is that it packs more for less. Simply put,it's not overpriced. This really helped me in making my decision to buy as, like I said earlier, nobody said it was better than Samsung but a quality product in itself. This made me lowered my expectations as I was expecting the phone and on getting it, my expectations were far exceeded. See, without the Samsung, I'll still be pleased with the Xiaomi as it is still the best alternative phone I've used so far |

Damritoh: Na A30 Dey Same League With RN7 A50 Is A Class Above RN7 Plus The Price Difference Is Huge BTW I know, that's why I compared with the mi 9 SE. The price is similar. |

Osyxcel: Not everyone buys phone for its game prowess. That a phone opens a game faster than the other doesn't mean the processor is better. Most of these processor have departments where they outshine each other. I've seen comparison videos where RN7 does better in opening apps but worse in keeping them in the memory. It all depends on what you want. For the camera, until I see the video myself. Don't also forget the crispness of Amoled Display.
Personally, I'd easily pick A50 over RN7 anyday. This might not be a fair comparison tho,. The A50 is upper midrange and almost double the price of the RN7 |

olaboyeh: Especially thay camera review oh..just don't fall for it..unless you see both phones side by side...except it's a Nigerian or african youtube page where i can judge because we have same skin tone..... Let's use both phones for 6 month and come check the opening and closing apps thingy again... This is not even open to any debate, the A50 floors Xiaomi in the camera department. Hands down |

Sammy1973: Thats not true, you can't know more than the phone geeks who do the reviews, if you like use both phones for ten years, you will still not know more than them. And u don't even know if I'm a geek myself. Thing is what interests a geek might not have meaning to ur average everyday user. Things like clock speed and whatnot have no meaning to the average user like what he can see and feel Things like camera quality, battery life, picture quality and ability to handle high quality games does not require u to be a geek to notice. I play H D games on both and I can tell us the A50 handles games better. |

Sammy1973: Why are we discussing then if you don't use RN7, we are talking about RN7 and Samsung A50 not any other Xiaomi phone. That's because the mi 9 is supposed to be better than RN7. Don't get me wrong, it's a good device but the A50 still tops it |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by godspeed: 2:01pm On May 07, 2019 |
Sammy1973: Check the comparison on YouTube, the only place where A50 tops RN7 is the screen, and it is way cheaper than the A50 Forgot reviews, I said I use both phones (tho not RN7) and I can confirm to u the Samsung tops. Even in terms of battery performance, the Samsung last longer tho xiaomi charges faster |

tziz: Hmmm, interesting.
Buh there's somtin I noticed in this group, everyone's talking about the Pros of Note7, no mention of Cons (well except the occasional camera complaints), I like to hear cons too Sha, it guides me. Plus I knw der's nothing in this world without cons Bros, if u hv the money, go for samsung a50 it tops the xiaomi by far. I use both phones (albeit xiaomi mi 9 se) and I'm yet to see where the xiaomi beats the Samsung. In terms of screen vibrancy, picture quality and performance the Samsung is on top. The only area xiaomi beats the Samsung is when I connect to my TV , the film on Samsung drags while xiaomi runs smoothly. The xiaomi is a good buy tho. Iim enjoying it. I got the Samsung for 97k @ computer village |

godspeed: I finally decided to join the xiaomi family out of curiosity.
I'm still observing though, but I'm kinda impressed with the graphics. Trying to see what other features, especially battery and camera will be like.
Can someone please suggest to me the theme and launcher I can use as I find the xiaomi themes extremely annoying. I'm managing GO launcher at the moment but I need something more exquisite.
@ifedith, pls can I get a 5D temper glass for xiaomi mi 9 SE?
Regards Thanks y'all. I'm gonna try all those one by one |

Gd morning house
Pls I need ur advice on which one of redmi note 7 pro and mi 9 SE global version to buy.
I really wanted to go for the mi 9 SE primarily because of the size, I'm not really a big fan of big screens. Ti me, the smaller the better.
But then, there seems to be very little review of mi 9 se everywhere it is RN7 which is making me hv a rethink.
So house , putting the 2 phones side by side, which one is significantly better in terms of:
Camera General performance Graphics Battery life
These are the four major factors I'm considering before making a purchase.
If they are so close in these four parameters such that there is no significant difference BTW the 2, then it's an easy decision for me. I'll go straight for the 9 SE.
Pls help |

komekn: I haven't been to Egypt for a long time, my Father took me there as a child.
However, I am prejudiced. I see and read about thier political system where the rule of law is taking a battering. The creating of a DICTATORSHIP and president for Life.
The coptic Christians and the continous discrimination that face as well as blatant attacks by various groups.
When you go to Egypt and you stay in a 4/5 star hotel. Not all of us can always afford that me included. You get a completely false view of Egypt, you are on the well insulated and protected tourist route. Where you are shown a very serene and compliant Egypt.
That is the Egypt my Caucasian work colleagues and associates love to visit. Coming back with all kinds of wonderful stories. It's not for me. And l know l will not have the same welcome.
My hope was for a Moroccan AFCON that didn't happen so l will not be going. Now I'm scared. Is it worth it? |

wayodude: I've been to Cairo and it was a nice experience...seeing the Nile at Night, the Pyramids etc
I stayed in a 4 star hotel in the zamalek area which is expensive but I had the budget to deal with that. Hotels in Cairo I reckon are cheaper than their equivalents in Lagos. I never felt insecure or discriminated against at anytime. Of course you need to have your eyes open and let common sense lead you like you would anywhere else.
I have never been pickpocketed or duped by locals in any Nigerian town but I have in London and Florence!
The only negative I can say I experienced the in Egypt is the local driving culture, but then if you live in Lagos you will be well versed in a similar culture.
Having said all this your experience could be difficult in the chaos that a major sporting event will undoubtedly bring to the city. Thanks for the first hand information bro. From ur experience, what budget range should I be looking at for a 3-week stay ? |

Icon4s: My brother, as long as u can comfortably afford it go ahead. I have never been to Egypt and it is definitely one place I have always wanted to visit because of its historical significance as an African, a Christian and also one who has interest in History and Archeology.
Numerous places to visit during the day as u watch ur AFCON games in the evenings but make sure u Google "tourist sites in Egypt" and their various fees. This will help u plan and maximise ur stay. It will also help u in budgeting. Still talking about costs, the flight ticket is a little more expensive than that of Dubai/Abu Dhabi. I don't know about their hotel prices but u can Google that.
June is not too far away so start making ur travel plans now. Thanks bro |

Hello house, I am thinking of spending my annual vacation in Egypt to afford me the opportunity of watching the AFCON and of course see a lot of historical sites.
Icon4s, tbaba1234 and other widely traveled members of the thread, particularly those who were at AFCON 2006, is this a good idea?I mean in terms of things like :
security.
The attitude of the Egyptians towards blacks.
What kind of treatment should I expect if for example Egypt loses to Nigeria at a stage in the tournament
Financial implications, like what kind of budget I should be looking at.
The tourist attractions
Weather e.t.c
Please house, will u strongly advice an average Nigerian to embark on this kind of trip for vacation?
Your contributions will be appreciated.

guys, does anyone know about the battery life of the Xiaomi mi 9 SE (not to be confused with Xiaomi mi 9).
The only review I got on YouTube says the battery lasts just for 4 hours of use which I think is crappy.
I'm actually thinking of getting one against the redmi note 7 primarily because of the size. But if the battery is really crappy, I might as well banish the idea. |

BascoVanVeli: Talk about scoring for fun. I remember saying that Osimhen would make every club that passed up on him regret and the lad has proven me right. I hope he goes to la liga next season because they will love everything he stands for. A future captain IMO. I'm so happy for osimhen. Sincerely, I never expected that he would blossom given the dismal record of our u 17 strikers over the years. Apart from akpobore, ikpeba and maybe kanu who all turned out to be proven goal scorers in Europe, what we've always been getting from our u 17 strikers have been huge disappointment. From igbinoba to osondu to anosike to amyanke to opabunmi to Isaac promise, Macaulay, sanni and iheanacho if you like, the list seem to be endless. So when osimhen emerged the star striker at the u17, I wasn't really expecting much from him afterwards and when he failed to make the cut at Wolfsburg, I tot 'there we go again'. I'm really so excited that he now seem to be an exception.I wish he sustains |

She is the churchy type, never followed me home and will only agree we see in the open.
Recently, she had problems with her SIM and decided to call me yesterday with one of her old lines I don't even have. What I saw on true caller has got me thinking since.
Am I over thinking this particularly ,since this has nothing to do with her initials.
