Get a map and see how small the landmass of India is compared to China, USA, Australia, Canada and even Brazil not to mention Russia. Meanwhile, India is more populous than Africa as a whole.

India's area is 1/5 of Russia, 1/3 of US, Canada or China, 2/3 of Brazil or Australia and is 7th largest in the world which is good enough. Why it doesn't matter?

96% of Chinese population lives in 40% of China and rest is bareland used by their military. 90% of Russians live in 20% of their country's area. Canadians and Australians have most of population concentrated in certain cities only and rest of their country is empty. US is same to a less degree. High population density (if you can manage your country properly) is a characteristic of rich countries like South Korea, Japan or UK. Because you can obtain money from your infrastructure in that case.

Countries with population spread in small concentrations have to build lot of infrastructure to connect country. Still their transport requirements & costs are much higher, taxes and service charges are lower and never develop despite all good works of governments in improving industry & education. Example; Central Asian countries.

As for Nigeria, you have 60% of our population density and 5 times higher population growth but no infrastructure. If you are so keen on denouncing population density, Nigeria will be only country in world to match India and China in population in 2090 but with much smaller area.

Indians come to Africa for easy money, for business, money from natural resources and fooling innocent African population (and I hate those Indians honestly).

Their public debt forms a large part of their national debt which means governments have to pay to public which isnt an issue for them.

China, India & Japan don't even suffer from net debt position kinda west is facing.

Their debts are closer to their GDP because most population has non FMCG commodities and economic activity is slow. But their debts are much smaller fraction of their total national wealth.

They have many hundreds of billions to trllions size of forex ready which they use to pay in case of any emergency. Hence, can't be indebted.

They also have given away lot of loans which makes their net international account balance smaller.

They have largest road networks, add thousands of kilometres to it every year, have many hundreds of billions to trillions of plans to improve infrastructure. All of major countries.

China will be spending $2 trillions to expand its existing good infrastructure, India going to invest $4 trillions in 16 years to make a western standard infrastructure system. Indeed a one billion road neither does matter to them nor is a good explanation to judge Nigeria's financial situation.

That was different era with different system of world. At that time, small colonial powers used to rule because they drew their power from their colonies like a parasite sucks blood from its host.
Decades of 1930s and 40s began with revolutions and decolonisation of world. Hence, countries with internal capacities (Wealth X Population) came out to be strongest. US, Soviet Union & Japan in past, US, Russia, China & India now, US, China, India & Brazil in near future while China & India only left two great powers by end of 21st century and probably rise of Nigeria also who will match their populations.

Brazil, China & India have each around 25% of their urban population in slums. The same figure goes more than 50% for Nigeria. Clearly, these countries are better than Nigeria by a long shot.

There are many things to look at, no matter if Christians & Muslims do conversions violently or peacefully. Spreading beliefs and destroying scientific tempers of society is always wrong.

And hence, they are often made fun of when their teachings are sometimes found scientifically incorrect.

I went for studies in India, and we preached to Hindus discreetly because if you are caught you can be jailed, openly preaching is not allowed because it can lead to religious riots. But we still have to preach the word one way or another despite threats.

There were attempts to convert Indians into foreign religions like Islam & Christianity by invaders which failed early. Otherwise we would have been looking like any middle eastern or African country today.

Even today, converted Indians are found more likely to be involved in foreign funded betrayals to India and are seen as suspects by common people.

Indeed our problems might be big, in 1947, a plundered country with hostile neighbors, both US and Soviets turned against us, tensions over Goa, Gracia and BIOT, low natural resources, large population, that even demographically highly diverse and conflicting enough to cause a civil war. Over that, system of democracy. While others descended into coups, conflicts and civil wars, Indians worked to turn their resourceless country from a destitute one to a major and emerging force.

It would have been enough to immediately collapse for administrations like those in Nigeria or South Africa than pulling country into an emerging power.
