As you said bad understanding makes a person fall, thus, did God Say only the levites are to be holy?

Is priest not restricted only to the carrying out of service to God in the tebarnacle on behalf if the people?

Direct your complaints appropriately which is that pastors/priests today do not obey The Commandment and should not be the handlers of tithes.

However, we also know that your complaint is borne out of your jealosy for the pastors/priests as you wish you were in their positions rather than upon the ground of righteosness.

Which means are even more guilty than they are!

you said misunderstanding like you had understanding yet you lie and falsely accuse someone of what you are not certain of.

The words that I spoke were from the Holy Spirit and yet you claim they were from jealousy? Are you calling the Spirit of God Jealousy?

Who are you to accuse and command, if not a child of the devil who accuses the brethren from the beginning. For no child of God would read would I wrote and given such a response from the spirit of God.
Religion / Benny Repents? by gohf: 12:21pm On May 12
Recently Benny Hinn has repented or apologised again, for his part in the false messages of prosperity and false prophecies, you can check out the videos on YouTube and Facebook.

But was it a response to Mike Winger, if you don't know him, check YouTube and how they tried taking a post down that was on Benny Hinn. Was it damaged control, or a genuine concern for his soul?

I say again because he did at first about 5 or so years ago in Nigeria, live while at Christ Embassy I was there. He said he had an encounter with the Lord after a near death experience where the Lord told him not to miss it.

Now some may claim he is doing damage control, or he isn't genuinely repented. And some say it's because he's been attacked for his misdeeds. The question is how many of us even know what genuine repentance is?

My other question is, what is Chris Oyakinlome of Christ Embassy, love world inc., take on all this. And all the other men of God who were impacted by the same ministry of Benny Hinn.

Some say he is completely false, Benny Hinn says he is not completely false because he's made some mistakes.

Those who say he is still false say he hasnt genuinely repented, but Benny says he has stopped being a part of those meetings or preaching things in line with those prosperity messages. They want Hinn to restitute, to close down his ministry, it may seem harsh to close down his ministry but restitution is needed.

We pray for more men of God to repent but genuine repentance, not the Abel Damina kind, the real kind.

Those preachers of tithe, preachers of prosperity. Do you know, what if Hinn did not repent or say anything, hope you know what he is repenting from is what men like Copeland practice.

It is well.

Please this topic wants to tear the family apart.

We are doing well, each of us earns almost 85k per year, I'm in IT, she's in healthcare, and we both work full-time.
I am a Christian, I have never defaulted in tithing in the last 5 years. Not once.
She says tithing is my personal 'problem'. She uses the word problem specifically. She doesn't pay tithe.

This is the present sharing agreement, I bring 70%, she brings 30%.
This 70-30 covers the cost of living, groceries, nursery fees for our baby, and other bills.
before this sharing, we both bring equal amounts for the house mortgage and the car.
When her family needs money, she insists that we share it 50-50 based on her culture.

For my cybersecurity certifications, I pay from my less than 20%, but I have never complained. God has been faithful. My belief is that my tithe covers for the family.
The good news is that I won a large sum of money from my savings, tens of thousands of dollars. I intend to pay tithe, and channel most of the money to my professional development so I can earn more. I don't think I deserve that money I won, that money was from God.
She thinks otherwise.

What's your opinion?
God blessed you so that you can PAY him back or so that you can be a blessing.

You're carrying a burden Jesus did not give you, the question is where do you think you are aheading with that load.

Sir goodconscience77 where is thy good conscience

We read the verse chapter you said we should

Heb.7.18 For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness,

Sir did the author not know the profitability of tithing?

Of do you think of us as fools who do not read the bible?

Heb.7.19 For the law made nothing perfect, and now a better hope has taken its place. And that is how we draw near to God.

Come and access that hope @ the Gate of HOPE fellowship 😎

Our hope is Jesus

Heb.7.26 For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

Heb.7.27 who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

He does not need your sacrifices

Sir goodconscience77 we have READ THE WHOLE OF HEBREWS 7 where is the answer to Mathew547's question.

Sir if you do not repent, hell is a free place to go.

Repent from lying against God's word. Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent.
Religion / Re: How Tithe Should Be Shared According To Bible by gohf: 11:47am On May 12
I am part of God's kingdom of priest, with Jesus the high priest so note this

Heb.7.16 He became a priest, not by meeting the old requirement of belonging to the tribe of Levi, but by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed.

By the power of eternal life
Religion / Re: How Tithe Should Be Shared According To Bible by gohf: 11:45am On May 12
To 28 sir

Heb.7.11 Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron? (NKJV)

Sir goodconscience77 what order of priest are ye?

Heb.7.12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. (NKJV)

Sir did the law change or not?

Paul wrote the law of faith we obey, of faith in Jesus, what law sir do you obey?
Religion / Re: How Tithe Should Be Shared According To Bible by gohf: 11:43am On May 12
goodconscience77 sir, I will keep reading the Hebrews 7 sir

Heb.7.6 but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

Heb.7.7 And without question, the person who has the power to bless is always greater than the person who is blessed.

Heb.7.8 In the case of Jewish priests, tithes are paid to men who will die. But Melchizedek is greater than they are, because we are told that he lives on.

Jesus being Melchizedek

Sir let me read, 1Cor.16.2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
goodconsience77:

Please check: 1cor 16:2, Heb 7:1-28

Sir I am reading Hebrews but I didn't see the command to the christians Michael547 asked you for, but I saw this sir

Heb.7.5 And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham;

Sir it says this priesthood was given to the sons of Levi, and they collected it from the Israelites not the church, and according to the law not according to grace and truth

Should I keep reading and quoting sir

In new testament dispensation the priests are the pastor, Bishop, the prophet, the evangelist, the apostle and teacher of his word.
Levitical priests or under the order of Melchizedek?
Religion / A Kingdom Of Priests,... That Pay Tithe? by gohf: 10:40am On May 12
The devil has always been a master at manipulating people's lack of understanding, when you misunderstand God's word you will likely fall and not bear fruit.

Peter writes you are a kingdom of priests
God spoke through Moses he wanted them to be a kingdom of priests but they failed, so just one tribe with Moses became entitled and Aaron's family became priests.

But Jesus our High priest isn't under the Aaronic priesthood.

In Hebrews it is written Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek, now Levi was in Abraham. Now Jesus priesthood is seen as that of Melchizedek, in fact they are seen as the same person. The king of righteousness, the king of peace.

Now are we Levities, no. Okay

So according to the gospel, who are we a part of, are we in Jesus or in Abraham?

Another question if we are all priests, who do we pay tithe to?

To Jesus? How do you pay tithe to Jesus?

Did Jesus ask you to pay tithe to him?

Did Melchizedek ask for tithe? Was the blessing he gave Abraham because of the tithe?

Those who paid tithe in Israel were other tribes who were not part of God's covenant of priests.

So when you pay tithe what are you telling God?

I am not part of your kingdom of priests? Or I am not in Christ Jesus, I like where I am , being in Abraham is better, being under the law is better.

Do you even realise who Malachi writes to, and whom God was talking to when he later calls them thieves. Who were the ones emptying the storehouse.

The devil is enjoying what he is doing to many of you, but those responsible will answer for it, if mercy doesn't speak.

Tithing is one of the important aspect of Christianity. This concept was derive from mosaic law by Christians and Jesus said he came to fulfil the law not to condemn the law. According to mosaic law in the Deuteronomy 26:12-15 the tithe should be shared among the following people
- The priest
- The widow
- The poor
- The Fatherless
- And the stranger
Please, bible schoolers why is it that many churches are not following this standard in sharing the tithe.
but who then does the scripture reveal are the priests
Religion / Re: 5 Keys To Kingdom Wealth by gohf: 10:19am On May 12
rexbuton:
Do not be deceived, the word of God cannot be broken. There are specific rules for Kingdom wealth ~ this is wealth that defies logic and explanation. Here are the keys. The points below are for children of the kingdom of God only. Thanks.

1. Seeking God. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and ALL other things shall be added unto you.
To seek God means to devote time for the study of His word, consciously walking according to his dictates, living your life as a representation of him on earth (living as the salt of the earth), and pursuing the advancement of his Kingdom via establishment of souls.
“Thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish the covenant with he sware unto thy fathers ‘’
God is looking for people who would use their positions to evangelise for God. There are billionaires who are sunday school teachers, who are ushers, who go out for evangelism. People who would sponsor free medical outreaches under the name of Jesus. You must live your life in a way that people are confused about if you are a professional or a pastor.

Carry this to front page will just create much noise but you have written here refers more to worldly wealth than kingdom wealth. For instance kingdom wealth is about building treasures in heaven which goes against storing up material excesses upon the earth meanwhile the poor are suffering and starving while some lavish luxury claiming it's God o. Whereas God says to them, o fool.

We don't seek God to be rich, we seek the kingdom of God to find it, to have righteousness. Do you stop seeking because your needs are met. Whereas those needs Jesus spoke about are not excesses but food, water, clothes that we need to survive.

Evangelism is not seeking the kingdom of God, it is spreading the message of God's kingdom, the gospel

Mosaic law did not become obsolete, Jesus came to fulfil the Mosaic law. Jesus said one dot or tittle will not pass away until the purpose of the law has been fulfilled.
so are you saying the purpose of that law hasnt been fulfilled?
Do you even know the purpose of that law?

My counter question is this, why did Jesus not wait till rising from the grave before making declarations on Adultery, on eating defiled meat and other mosaic laws? Or are we suggesting that Jesus broke the law by healing on the sabbath day? Or by refusing to stone the adulteress?

But tithing is before the law of Moses, and Jesus did not shy away from issuing modifications on these laws because he is God, who made the laws in the first place. He could have said, don’t pay tithe !
Mathew547 forgive me but please let me answer this. For I know this question isn't to me.

Jesus taught the commandents of God not the commandments of Moses, it was obviously that because of that they sort to trick him with the test of someone breaking the commandments he preaches. But Jesus did what they didn't expect he neither comdemned her nor told them to let her go, by God's wisdom he told them if any of them had no sin worth been stoned for they should stone her but after they left he told her go and sin no more.

Listen about giving, Jesus spoke, about other types be it cobam, or tithe he said, it will never be has important as mercy, love, honoring your parents.

Jesus didn't tell to Jews to break the mosaic law, because they were under the mosaic law.

Hope you know Peter and the rest still performed some Jewish rites for a while but never gave the gentiles such instructions.

Jesus ended it when the curtain was torn, but they didn't stop so the temple it's self was destroyed beyond repair.

You think that God the Father who said listen to Christ Jesus not Moses or Elijah didn't understand the implications that they shouldn't follow the scripture but the gospel.

What I have stated above in several posts is that Tithing predates Mosaic law
tithing predates the Mosaic law

You are referencing Abraham who gave 100% because he took nothing back with him

It was a one time thing, a honor to the king of righteous, the king of peace.

He wasn't commanded to, and never did it again.

It wasn't out of his usually earnings

jesusjnr2020:
Your assertion that lack is responsible for this is incorrect, because there was also lack in the early church. Not just lack but lots of persecution.

Do you have any idea it means to be jailed for weeks and even months, if not years, to add to being beating and tortured for preaching the Gospel of Christ?

But how many of the early Christians did you hear of being depressed?

Instead they would be rejoicing and singing praises to God in their sufferings.

That's what the peace and joy of Jesus gives. It doesn't rely on earthly factors.

So lack as you claim is not enough for the causes of depression among Christians.

I should know because I have been depressed as a Christian before I received this joy and peace from God via a change of my mindset and priorities.

Yes i've had my moments of lack and some really trying times but never got depressed again, since my peace and joy were not tied to the things of this world but the kingdom of God.
what lack was there in the early church, where did you read that, who told you that. They gave all and had all in common and shared, they had enough to even send relief and feed orphans and widows.

Agreed but know that we have needs as Christian on earth. Even if we are to serve God because we love Him and not focus on earthly things, You must eat, pay bills and so forth, our needs being met are consolations or tokens we need in our pilgrim journey.

Most Christians are in lack that's why they are depressed.
Jesus still said your Father knows you have need of these things that the Gentiles seek but seek he first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and these needs, food, water, cloth will be added.

You cannot have a divided focus, your eyes have to be singular to not be confused and behave irregular or lukewarm.

Why are so many Christians depressed today?
those ones have lost hope in God, If Christ is in them then hope not for things, but hope for eternal life.

Do they have such hope, do those who lead them show them such hope. So do they go to the church and still feel like they are in the world where money not only matters but seems magnified beside God.

If they know the truth, the truth will set them free from depression, from discouragement. Is the Holy Spirit not the comforter who has slapped him out of every depressing attack of the devil. But is the Holy Spirit in them.

Is it not written if the Holy is not in you, you are not a Christian and for the Holy Spirit to in a person they have been liberated from this world of sin from it's control and influence.

Their heart is on the treasures above.

The Holy Spirit isn't silent, it may seem so but he isn't. He is the comforter, even if what he gives isn't the answer we desire, it's an answer to comfort us and strengthen us.

Even when we pass through tests, he is there, how is he there if he is silent as well, instead let's try listening deeply and we will hear that still small voice reminding us the words of God and telling us what the Lord desires for us to do and know.

people who care in earth are those who believe life doesn't end when they leave their bodies.

Less religion is what makes people not to have conscience and say you only live once, better do whatever to enjoy your only life, so they cheat others, kill others, do all manner of evils just to enjoy their short lives believing there is no judgement they will face.

Please we don't all talk nor even focus on heaven because if we did, we would do the good that qualifies us for heaven.
