IGBOSON1: Dude, quit reading false and misleading meaning into my argument! Are Ndigbo, though forced at gunpoint, not part Nigeria? If so, then how did you somehow twist my words to make it look like i’m ‘blaming other Nigerians’!? Fact of the matter is, since ‘independence’, ethnicities in Nigeria have picked up bad habits not in keeping with values, norms and morals held during colonial times! Any honest Yoruba (your own ethnicity i take it) would quickly tell you of those values and norms that held their society together and ensured there was justice and fairness for all….same with the Igbo and other ethnicities! Over the years post ‘independence’, some of these values, norms and traditions have either been watered down to the level of near-insignificance or disappeared completely! This is the effect of having lived for decades in a corrupt and lawless society such as Nigeria has become since the 60s!
Ever heard of the expression, ‘let Nigeria not happen to you’? I’m sure you have! That statement is alluding to the decadence and lawlessness that’s now commonplace in Nigeria of today!
That cohesiveness….that feeling of anyi bu ofu and igwebuike, have been watered down since ‘independence’ as different cleavages and divides emerged amongst Ndigbo based on Nigeria-created political boundaries! The issue of Bianca Ojukwu is Anambras’ loss as we all know she is bold, outspoken and would have been a credit to her people. I’m sure whoever takes the seat would have been part of those who whipped up the ‘she’s not from Anambra’ frenzy, and this is the senseless schisms and divides i’m talking about! This same scenario would be mirrored in many other states and gov’ts!
Dude, you can’t be shamelessly speaking from both sides of the mouth and expect to be taken seriously! You’re a ‘one Nigerianist’ no doubt, and your ilk are known for being two-faced and deceitful! You can’t support ‘one Nigeria’ and the constitution it presently operates (as flawed as it may be), yet stupidly assert that Lagos is only for the Yoruba (no matter their state) to govern and own! Are you mad!? You’re afraid of restructuring because you feel other ethnicities will have a stronger presence in Lagos state governance!? You see how you reason stupidly!? The only fools that reason like you do are Tinubus’ thugs and those Yoruba he has criminally enriched at the expense of the wider good of the state! This is all what this una anti-Igbo stance is all about…trying to protect your godfather and his criminal enterprise/turf from ‘outsiders’ and the scrutiny that’s bound to follow in a truly democratic setup!
Lagos belongs to ALL Lagosians, no matter their ethnicity, and everyone of them has the right to participate in its governance! Had Calabar and Lokoja benefitted from the same level of federal funds and attention post ‘independence’ as Lagos and Abuja have, then all Nigerians would be entitled to participate in their governance as well!
If e sure you, campaign vigorously for Oduduwa Republic so you can keep Lagos all to yourselves and then be in a position to dictate terms to Ndigbo still daft enough to live in a country with hateful bigots like you! on the contrary, restructuring will end all the unnecessary contentions for Lagos as the SW will find it easier to entrench laws against anti-yoruba interests not only in Lagos but the entire SW region. Dont' worry when the time for restructuring will be a reality, the strongest resistance will be from the SE as you guys can no longer hide under the current lopsided Federal structure to demand unnecessary rights like you're doing now which will be very good as you will be forced to go back to your region to develop it by force or fire. When jungle mature, who no know go know. |

00FFT00: Yes, with their money he stole from them. Tinubu understands power. A master of deprivation and reward. That is a very effective control and command mechanism. Those protesting youths at the toll plaza were threats to his hegemonic chokehold in Lagos, and he had them sent back to their maker. Fallacies, your grouse with tinubu is his Political strength and influence nothing more. You guys just have issues with very Strong individuals that are not from your region, that's all. |

00FFT00: Isn't Tinubu the almighty maker and creator of everything in Lagos again?. Selective responsibility acceptance what?. Tinubu rules Lagos, not the figurehead governors. That's what his urchins told us, ain't it?.
All accolades accrue to the master planner and executor, and that includes the multiple murders he ordered at his toll plaza to please his northern masters. Another fallacy is that if a people decides to follow a man's political ideal and culture does not mean he rules them. Even those who fight him come back to reconcile with him so how is he ruling them? Did he hypnotize them or how |

IGBOSON1: You’re mixing up issues here…probably on purpose!
Nigerians (no matter their ethnicity, state or region) generally have this knack for getting too possessive and territorial regarding allowing others to enjoy political….and sometimes even economic- ‘benefits’ derivable from their state, and this isn’t peculiar to any ethnicity or region…it’s a national problem enthroned and practiced by the greedy and power-hungry Nigerian political elite!
I personally think it was unacceptable that Bianca Ojukwu, who to all intents and purposes is now from Anambra owing to marriage, was prevented from contesting for Senate in the state! It’s not in our nature as Ndigbo to toe that divisive line, and this is one of the bad habits we’ve picked up from being in ‘one Nigeria’! That being said, i think you’d find out that, outside of Lagos, a similar dynamic would play out given a similar situation between the remaining 5 other states in your region!
Lagos however is a different kettle of fish entirely….same as Abuja, as they are defunct and current Nigerian capitals respectively, and both have enjoyed a disproportionate amount of national attention, effort and our commonwealth to bring them to the level they are today! Had any Igbo wanted to drag say Oyo or Osun with you, i’d even join you in asking them to keep quiet. In politics, governance and business, Lagos and Abuja should be equal opportunity cities for ALL Nigerians until such a time when the country ceases to exist! Interesting to know how it's the fault of other Nigerians for Bianca to be denied political privilege in her native Igboland, so laughable. For your last paragraph, this is why some of us feel or fear Nigeria may not be ready for restructructuring. You can't continue to drag other people's lands with them even threatening to overrun them with the excuse of being a former capital, especially where places like Lokoja and Calabar were also former capitals, It is ojukokoro (covetousness) and yes it will be resisted. |

00FFT00: The problem is that most of you barely know what the definition of the word politics is. I do not need to discuss with one a dimensional person whose only reality is that which panders to their narrow, tribal worldview.
That a man who now aspires to preside in Nigeria supported the brutal murder of Nigeria's youths for the offense of daring to ask for dignity and fair treatment in their country is indicative of the shallowness and slave mentality people who think like you are beholden to.
The blood of these innocent young Nigerians is on your heads, and in the fullness of time, running to Paris or wherever your tollgate butcher-in-chief runs to cannot save him. That is another fallacy, is the Governor of the state? why people pin that crisis on him is still what amazes me, he has no authority over the army or police. Hatred for the man is the reason people ascribe the endsars crisis to him which is so unfair. Who did he murder? do you have any evidence to back this up? Nonsense |

00FFT00: Igbo are not your house servants that are to harken to every nonsense you dream about. If your want to keep allowing Tinubu and his family to continue enslaving all of you, that is ok, but Igbos will not become scapegoats for people who have refused to stand up for themselves. And they are even in compliance.
I happen to know that Mama Bose who sells dead pigeons at Ogbete market, does not pay Papaloja levies, so also should Emeka in Alaba international. It’s a fallacy to say people are being enslaved because people do not agree with your political views. The last time we saw slavery in Lagos is during endsars protest when people claiming to be fighting for freedom did not allow people to go about their lawful daily business or is it those that could not enter Alaba market without producing their pvcs. That’s the slavery we detest. House servants indeed who cannot stand up to criminals forcing sit a home anytime they like. Physician heal thyself before pointing to others |

Life is still precious, and that has not changed, even for Igbos. Let's not even mention that Ipob categorically canceled the exercise. Should there now be threat of harm for the igbos to comply with other people’s customs? That doesn’t speak well for the igbos. |

00FFT00: So, this explains your Iyaloja and Babaloja narrative. Yours is not about coherence and assimilation, but acquiescence to parochial exigencies. I doubt whether you really read my rejoinder relative to your submission?.
In any case, nobody is disrespecting Yoruba as you will want to make believe. Other Nigerians who live in Yoruba-dominated areas are paying taxes, tenement rates, etc., and I am yet to hear that your shrines were desecrated by "settlers" (No one's a settler in his country), and your traditional institutions are as revered by others as they wish theirs to be revered.
What you must, however, understand is that as long as Yoruba are inside Nigeria, our extant laws remain superior to ethnic affirmations. This is why traditional rulers reign at their governor's pleasure and can be deposed by him. Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to live and work anywhere in the country and is expected to keep their person in good standing.
Yoruba also live and are vocationally engaged all over Nigeria, and are treated hospitably with the attendant dignity which they deserve. There are whole communities in Akwa Ibom and elsewhere, nationwide. My best childhood friends as a kid in the north, I must tell you, are Yoruba.
I do not recall that Yoruba were constantly reminded to respect Kano. Not that they are disrespectful anyway, but the re-echoing “respect Yoruba” that we daily read in Nairaland has become ridiculous.
That said, my Southwest brothers need to climb down from their high horses. Nobody is doing anybody favors in Nigeria. While competition is healthy and should be encouraged, the no-love-lost co-existence between 2 southern brothers, Nairaland-Igbo and Nairaland-Yoruba has deteriorated into an epidemic disease. My consolation is that this is not the true picture in the larger society.
I do not recall Yoruba in the South-East, for example, other ethnicities being co-opted to pay the various Umunna and Town development levies for which Igbos are famous. Unless they have voluntarily chosen to become part of it. So it is also fair that the Iyaloja levies, for example, are only compulsory for the indigenes of the cultural areas and not others.
Sharia does not “explicitly” apply to non-Muslims in the north, or does it?. The issue is that there are boundaries the Igbos tend to cross in other places apart from the SW even in other parts of Nigeria. For example in the SW if an oba dies, the markets are closed as a sign of respect for the dead but the igbos tend to challenge such customs while in the SE when there is a sit at home order, no one challenges but complies. This is one of the overbearing nature people complain about. All over the world there are customs to be abide by all irrespective of your beliefs. That’s the spirit of coexistence and not creating unnecessary fuss |

They would endeavour to make there profit so i really dont think the federal government will have the control over what is being imported into the country and that will very devastating to our economy. The government can send the military to Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna and other places in Nigeria to bomb terrorists and terrorist hideout with zero complaints by the local population, but they cannot do the same thing in the SE because the SE collectively will call it genocide and say the government is attacking Igbo people to exterminate them. This is how the government always let them get away with lawlessness and evil acts
They've been slaughtering each other for years out in the open, they just beheaded a sitting public official the other day, but the whole region including the governors, political and traditional leaders did not say a word, but let something similar happen in southern Kaduna, they whole of igboland will shout, yell and scream, they always know who to blame, but when it comes to the SE, they don't care.
The lives of Kaduna people are more previous to Igbo people than the lives of their own igbo people in the SE.
