The mtn solar system is reliable and affordable. I use it as alternative to petrol generator. The system cost about 270k but after the commitment fee of 15k you have the option to spread the balance over up to 1500 days(i.e @4.5k monthly). I don't regard this as cheating for a system that consists of a 80-watt solar panel, inverter, 10 metre cable, two long-lasting bulbs, universal phone charger. I was sceptical initially but after acquiring one I regret not buying it earlier during promo when it was sold with a solar-power only standing fan as bonus. I use it basically to charge phone, power a 24-inch tv as well as gotv/startimes decoders and for lighting (I will soon add their standing fan). For 24/7 all these gadgets are powered for just 4.5k a month. To me this is not cheating and is preferable to generator that you spend far more on. The system is secure as it can only be recharged using the mtn number linked to it - so it is useless stealing it (even the solar panel won't work if transferred to another system).
Abeg don't mind the pessimists who don't have a better alternative to address power issues. We Nigerians are so quick in running down those who have seen an enormous business opportunity.

Those calling MTN names have not told us a better and quick alternative to solve our power issue. They want us to wait for the govt. forever to give us power they cannot give

Sorri bro, the problem are not discos, rather it is the gencos who produces power, the tcn transmits and the disco distributes to the customers, the are at the tail end of the business thats why they take the blame game. If the gencos produce 3000MVA today, dats only wen the discos can distribute wen it get to them via tcn who are actually having a tough one distributing power adequately due to thier obsolete equipment some are older than my father, its a pity thou....... So dnt blame the discos, besides power is no longer a social amenity, is a product for sale.... The govt gave it up... Shikena
All of them whether genco, tcn or discos are all failures. Let's stop defending what's not working. Nigerians are tired of these failures. Nigerians are also ready to pay when service is delivered.

The product has been in the market two years and is even popular in the north ..all I am sayings is that Fashola should give them space because the success of that product means the failure of our Discos ..
our discos are already a failure bruv, don't you hear them complaining all the time of their inability to deliver? were is it practiced in this world that people should pay for what they are not consuming. The Discos are on their own!

Did I complain about the solution ? I only said it's very wrong for a serving power minister to be at that launch of a product which depend on the failure of our power system to succeed ....Are you aware that the success of that product is dependent on Nigeria never fixing it's power deficit? Please open Ur brain
Ok Let's open my brain together nah, How long have we been trying to fix our power issue? Na today, look here the likes of Fashola knows that only serious minded investors like MTN and their ilk can truly address the power problem in Nigeria and not those mushroom and briefcase investors that call themselves ajasco or disco.

Am already doing a google search on the product sef and am ready like many serious Nigerians to patronize MTN and other serious guys who want to address the issue of power. If you like wait for the disco guys, you will wait forever.

If you still doubt that Buhari is no more; here is the proof.

A ordinary citizen has the boldness of accusing our commander in chief of a criminal offence in open court.

Buhari is no more!

Osinbajo and this gang who have taken over are trying to discredit him for several weeks first, before finally telling us truth.
hey mr, abeg chill who says no one can accuse the commander in chief until he is dead? and what a makes a citizen ordinary or extra-ordinary.

Has PMB not been accused of having no certificate all this while even after becoming President. Even Dasuki accused PMB of collecting a car bought from funds he[dasuki] was in charge of as security adviser. Abeg chill o!

Fashola has ran out of ideas . I don't even know whether he really understands the ministry he is heading.. They will always outsource everything to oyibo.. Road construction, telecommunication, mining, even fighting boko haram.., now this.. What is soooooo intractable about producing power and supplying to the public? We have coal, what does it take to have a master plan and work assiduously towards that?
I feel your pain, but the truth is we all including you and I has failed our nation, we can't govern ourselves and that's why nothing can work in our hands as Nigerians, trust me, I use to think Nigerians were that smart, hardworking and intelligent but its a big NO. we can't make anything work by ourselves. I even want our entire government be it executive, legislature or judiciary to be outsourced to foreigners, trust me everything in Nigeria will start working automatically. We had NITEL for years and telephone was a luxury to be used only by the rich according to a dumb and silly guy called David Mark. Now see what telecommunications is in Nigeria just because foreigners came in and things started working by force in spite of all the witches and wizards in Nigeria, I can simple do my all banking transactions from my mobile phone. I tell you if we outsourced everything about power to foreigners, we will start having 24 hrs power supply in every village, town and city in Nigeria in a matter of months. Despite the recession, foreign companies in Nigeria are the ones thriving and opening all sorts of shopping malls and mega supermarkets even in places we think initially does not make sense economically. That is why garri can be imported into our nation by foreigners who know wetin dey.

Its not a Fahola problem, its our problem as Nigerians, na party and chop we sabi, we can't simply govern ourselves for true economic propserity

it will take another generation of south africans who never witnessed apartheid for all these stupidity to stop.

Apartheid did too much damage to the average south african, it shows in the way they talk, sing and dance.

By default and DNA, they are freedom fighters and so they must always vent their anger or sense of being oppressed on anyone they see as a threat.

I got cracked up grin when Fayose said he is the voice of the voiceless. I watched the interview, Fayose was singing from the book of lamentations. I saw a man who just love being in the media everyday trying to force his popularity to grow. He was even forcing the presenter to read the good things his supporters were saying about him in the social media.

What a comedian grin

My question is this, all these law suits that nyesome "the murderer" wiike and Ayo "omo alé" Fayose are sponsoring to oust Sheriff, who is paying for them? The governments of Rivers and Ekiti? I know Ozekhome has been denied access to the N75 million Fayose stole from NSA and used to pay him. Which leaves Wike. The people of Rivers are the ones paying for all the rubbish Wike is doing.
Wike is just dashing Rivers money to the EFCC everyday. The N111 million that Wike used to bribe election officials for the rerun, that was displayed last week, will be forfeited to the FG. The dollars, pounds and naira that Wike used to bribe Justices of the Supreme court has also been forfeited to the FG. The N200 million that Wike gave to INEC commissioner Geselia Khan to rig the governorship election in Rivers has also been forfeited to the FG. The only one missing now is the USD2 million that Wike gave to Justice Liman that was almost seized during the DSS raid. Wike has been very benovalent to the EFCC and the FG. That's why they love him.
o boy na efcc you de work? grin

Their party in disarray.

I foresee a divided leadership where the SS pdp will que behind Jonathan, the SE will que behind Fayose their role model, Wike and FFK.

Or should we now say Jonathan is APC mole?

Until pdp identify that Fayose and Wike are the problems they won't come of this dilemma.
Fayose and wike will continue to be seen as PDP heroes because of their vituperation against PMB and Amaechi respectively who are seen for the dethronement of their beloved GEJ. This is what Fayose and Wike will continue to use to lord over many pdp faithfuls.

Interesting times ahead indeed, more decamping to follow until Fayose and Wike are left alone with PDP, even ffk will not stay put I tell you.

odikpa serious for this conspiracy theory. op, Power belongs to God, no matter what the imperialists do, God is the ultimate and supreme judge over all.

Some of us love and believe in PMB. We are also praying for his good health and safe return but its wrong to begin to pick faults with his vp to pitch a battle with members of same party as Govt is never a one man show. Reason we have a cabinet and all others for effective running of govt. We have our country to fix not some imperialists, yes they exist but in the final analysis, we as a people decide how Nigeria is governed except we are not human beings again.

Obviously Jonathan ran a LESS corrupt government than Buhari.
