Chanchit: Okay, agreed, he won the cup because he's a very good coach, now must he die as the head coach of the SE even when the results are poor? Can't he just resign instead of being disgraced out of office? Seeking to coach ivorie coast while still coaching Nigeria, what would you call that? When de bosque won the champions league for madrid, they sacked him that same season, same thing for D'matteo for Chelsea, so Nigeria(ns) have tried at least it more thaan two yrs after the nations cup we won, we've endured the horrible performance at the confed' cup, the show of shame the world cup, then we failed to qualify for nations cup, they tried to sack him but he refused to go, what else do you want them to do for him? Thank God he finally left. Just pray we get a coach who will come and work the magic that you crave for or else be ready to eat your words, the earlier you guys realize that the problem of our football is not coaching but the management outfit called the nff, the better. I am waiting eagerly for the coach those bunch of retards at the nff will hire in two weeks time according to their own words. If Amaju toothpick or whatever his name is does not bring the mourinhos or the pep Guardiolas of this world as coach of the Eagles, then I know that we are not ready for civilization in this country. Your silly nff will rubbish our local coaches and go hire some white carpenters who will come and bolt away with our tax payers money all in the name of foreign technical adviser. We are watching. |

Politics › Re: Accept Party Supremacy, Buhari Tells Senators, Reps by Goke7: 5:40pm On Jul 03, 2015 |
linearity: You guys are not learning from past mistakes, this is the same attitude that made APC's anointed candidates to loss the headship at the Senate and in the House.
Yes, Saraki was a factor, but remember he was able to convince the majority to go along with him. Even if you attributed the Senate vote to a coup that prevented the naived APC Senators that chose to go and welcome PMB instead of attending their inaguration, what about the defeat that APC anointed candidates were given in the House.
APC should realize that, the majority that gave them the landslide in the last election came from different factions and interests. These various factions had only one goal in mind, i.e. to win and remain in the power. They do not care about party supremacy or party interest....in politities, there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies, just permanent interest. These deflator to APC did not drop their various interests at the door when they joined APC and they are not permanent friends with APC, they joined APC because at that time, that is the party that aligned more closely to their interest.
Instead of forcing party supremacy on the Senate, I think APC should start thinking of how they will governor....because even with their majority in Senate, it will be difficult for them to pass meaning bills that aligns to their priorities....e.g. APC have 60 votes to PDP's 49...on any bill, PDP can be guaranteed to produce all their 49 votes, but with the various factions & interests in APC, I doubt it, we saw that played out in Saraki vote....all that is needed to defeat any of their Priorities is 6 deflating votes and it is very easy to get those votes.
So, APC should be wise and know that, there is no unifying interest among it's current politicians and they should stop thinking that the APC that gave them the majority in the last election have the same interest, cohesion and unity as the previous minority APC and as such, the more you force party supremacy, the more you start tuning off many Senators and it is bad for business.
If APC want to be a true majority, they must come to terms with the diversity and ranging interest within their current formation, discuss them, allow everyone to air their interests, then find a way to address or compromise; forcefully commanding everyone to toll a single line only walk at the barracks and PMB should know the difference. He is not commanding an infantry battalion and this is not a dictatorship either. This was why I said buhari was naïve at the beginning, all what you have said here, if buhari knew this we won't have this crisis here. They have already accepted saraki as senate president despite the coup but saraki took his luck too far by going ahead to decide the other positions and started giving excuses, who is a fool here, saraki himself is naive despite all his political prowess even tinubu does not push himself too far like that, he had already aligned himself with lawab so that gbaja can have the house sea t so what do want them to do. Some greedy fellows are just using the tinubu excuse to achieve their aim and buhari has finally seen the handwriting on the wall hence his new position |

codedguy1: It is your flaccid skull that needs re examining! Lawan is seen as Tinubu's candidate to neutralise Saraki who Tinubu sees as over ambitious. Was it not Akume that was first in contest with Saraki for the position. Sit down there and be talking nonsense that Lawan was Buhari's candidate, Buhari who had said he would work with anybody- a very naïve position.
It is now u know people want to reap where they did not sow, when they were accepting all sorts of characters into their fold while chanting chanji they did not realise they were carrying ant infested woods into their house.
The consequences of that action is playing out now. thank God you have contradicted yourself by saying that lawan is seen as tinubu's candidate but he was never tinubu's candidate he only supported law an so that gbaja can have full support in the house of rep and if you prefer saraki to tinubu, ha you don enter one chance as buhari and so many others now know better. Am laughing at your miscalculation now, buhari thought saraki was in his interest when he said he will work with anybody but kasala don't burst now as saraki showed his hand too early lol |

codedguy1: APC party supremacy = what Tinubu wants!
Did Lawan ever say he wanted to be SP, is it not tinubu tht first flew that kite before lawan showed interest, and Tinubu did that because he wanted to protect himself and have control thru his stooge Lawan. Meanwhile Saraki had been nursing the idea of becoming SP for a long time.
As for Dogara, he won fair and square and its the same reason that HOR don't want a Tinubu stoooge in Gbaja that's why he was rejected with the help of PDP who saw it as pay back time.
APC shud better live with this mistake for the next 4years or they will complicate their matter.
Tinubu don dey suspect Buhari, its the ministerial list that will confirm if he still has THE influence he is supposed wield.
Akande was one of those whose name had been purported or speculated to be a minister. I think he has seen that things aint going their way hence his utterances that made Kawu Baraje describe it as rather unfortunate.
Let's see how it goes. Lawan was never Tinubu's candidate, pls get that into your skull, Lawan was even Buhari's candidate, Tinubu only shifted ground for Lawan so he could have Lawan's people support in the House of rep for Gbajabamila who is more qualified to lead the house of rep after being a minority leader for long when Apc was in the opposition. Some fellows are only trying to reap where they did not sow or even did far less than the people who worked for the party to get to where they were now. Buhari was only sold a dummy thinking it was in his interest but alas he has discovered that some fellows only use the Tinubu's excuse to pursue their own agenda, their final target is to get Buhari himself and the C in C has now known this |

linearity: This is very wrong, they should put the interest of the whole country in mind in the discharge of their duties, including those that did not vote for them.
PMB is not showing democratic maturity here, he is not the President of APC, but that of Nigeria, including those who voted again him. Saraki is not the Senate President of APC either, he should execute the function of that office on behalf of Nigerians as stipulated to in the constitution and not on behalf of APC. My guy politics don't work that way anywhere in the world, you are elected to implement the manifesto of your political party which must be beneficial to all, you must first of all align with your party structure and identity, that is why when we vote, the names of the contestants are not on the ballot papers but that of the party and the Logo, chikena, may be when our constitution allows for independent candidates what you are saying here may suffice but for now, Party supremacy is key. wealth123: Saraki did not finish at a meeting with who? PDP senators or who? He was hiding in his car only to come out and be elected as Senate President unopposed, just like that? Even if you tell a primary 2 boy this kind of story, he will pick holes in it. If we have a BIG liar like Saraki as number 3 man in Nigeria then we need serious prayers to survive as a nation.
Also, he claimed ignorance of the meeting of APC senators with Buhari, yet he did not ask where they were when he entered the chambers. The 8 APC senators that aligned with this bloody traitor were not also informed of the meeting with Buhari? Yet one of them must have called him out of where he was hiding. We shall see how you will sail through the storm you have created for yourself - Mr Senate President.
Those of you ignoramus supporting Saraki blindly do not know him. If you lost your money in SGBN - The bank that Saraki plundered, you will not be spewing trash here. Also, who are his friends - Senator Ndume that was accused of involvement with BOKO HARAM and Senator YERIMA accused of marrying a 13 year old girl. These are the champions now at the upper chamber. How can we have CHANGE with these rotten eggs. The truth is everyone including the pdp knew that what saraki did was bad, its the hatred and dislike for tinubu that is making people justify saraki's actions, even people who supported his candidacy earlier are just beginning to have a rethink including buhari himself who was aware of all the plot but claim not to interfer, Buhari just discovered himself that he has been used but things have gotten so bad now |

Truth be told Enyeama has nothing to loose, here, nff keeps forgeting that Nigeria no longer have talents like before in today's football, they have forgotten the time of siasia where he had issues with enyeama and kick him out of the team only for us to miss out on the nations cup of 2012.
By the time we fail to qualify again, they will turn around and lie to Nigerians that our coaches lack technical depth.

Its all assumptions my brother, the Germans understood our game better than we even understood our own game, making changes wouldn't have made much difference in my opinion, its all assumptions and remember we have our goalkeeper to thank if not the Germans would have won by at least 5-0. The bulk of talent that we have was not enough to unplug the Germans. What makes teams, are better and quality players, if the quality of your players can't match your opponents, whether european or african, there is little your coach can do, I thought this was the same coach garba some folks were saying he's even better than keshi, I laugh is spanish as usual.
