Igbos bring up southern Nigeria togetherness when it benefitted them...where were you guys when your clueless son was ruling Nigeria and dividing all her assets between you greedy people.

how may road or infrastructure did executed in south west?

Greedy and selfish people always hang on southern or northern unity to loot and steel Nigeria dry.
Politicians has been using northern agenda in the past to loot and the larger percentage of northern people still live in abject poverty.
Buhari is different, buhari is exemplary, buhari cares about poor Nigeria in respective of tribe or religion.

The day general Mohammed Buhari won the presidential election was the happiest day of my life.
my brother you nailed it well, it is when our southern politicians esp the guys from the ss and se want to buy their way out, that they turn around to accuse the north of born to rule mentality, their trick didn't work this time as some Nigerians are getting wiser by the day

Setaje:
This is exactly what my dad said. Exactly why my dad kicked against yorubas siding wiv hausas. This hausas are too smart. Wiv Buharis win, they have taken us back hundred years. I just hope yoruba leaders can at least do something for the south west and it's people. If not this hausas don't mind holding power for life. This has always been their tactics. I trust yoruba people who are always vocal. It won't be long before they start insulting Buhari especially when he is not performing as expected and before u no it they will turn to opposition. This time the hausas will just go and meet south east or south south and those ones will gladly follow. Who doesn't want national cake. This has always been hausa tactics. Divide and rule!

The moment yoruba igbo and south south stand together wiv one voice, is the beginning of progress in Nigeria. The hausas no that. This is why I dislike jonathan. He would have formed a formidable united southern Nigeria. But he relegated one part to the ground. Now we are back to square 1. With the way hausas voted. It simply means nobody can attain anything in this country wivout the help of hausas and they will continue to be the owners of Nigeria. It's a shame. People who are 20 years backwards from the south and people who so believe it's their birthright to rule Nigeria. I just laugh when people say if Buhari doesn't perform u will vote him out. Lmao. Let me see how u will vote a man out that comes from the largest ethnic group in Nigeria. In case u don't no. The hausas speak wiv one voice. Anything that concerns the north will bring a northerner apc and pdp together. Something we cannot see a southerner do. We are in big trouble o. I do not trust the north one bit and I have no apologies.
with all this ranting now who do you blame? some of you guys come here and spew rubbish about the north but should I say that we southerners are worse than the north? just check out the voting pattern in the north, they voted for Buhari massively despite the fact the core elite leaders in the north never wanted buhari cos of his very strong willed personality, they identified with someone they felt could lead Nigeria well irrespective of religion or tribe, just check places like kaduna where you have a strong presence of christians in the southern part, plateau state gave enough votes for buhari, same with benue, kogi, Niger and the north eastern states where the muslims do not supercede the christians in number in reality.

come down to the south where in the east and ss where people voted on the basis of religion and hatred for a party, they were so gullible to be misled by their leaders that they overlooked the good things leaders like okorocha and ngige did for them. Even in the west a lot of guys compromised cos of Jona's dollars and sold their conscience.

You can say all you want about the north but we in the south are ungrateful lots and corruption personified as exemplified by Jonathan himself who was ungrateful to the west for his 2011 victory but decided to bribe his way for re-election.

He is truly a coward simple. I plead with the APC lawmakers to let him be cos of Ekiti people.

Nigerians voted for Mr Integrity and by extension a change in how Government conducts its businesses.

We are here to remind GMB to beware of the hulks around him knowing Tinubu's antecedents in Lagos State and beyond.
Lagos state is the most managed state in Nigeria now hence the explosive population and some folks trying to claim its ownership, if Lagos has been managed like the other states in Nigeria, perhaps we may have been competing with somalia now.

Thanks to Tinubu a man of vision who saw where Nigeria should be headed, you guys can keep on ranting all you like, for GMB to partner with tinubu, then it means you guys have update your mental faculties and find a vision for your life. Perhaps all the lectures you have been giving on this forum should be for your personal consumption.

Nigeria is moving ahead and if you guys want to remain backward, its left to you, Tinubu is not your problem but yourself

What's wrong with Asari Dokubo and Government Tompolo buying these assets?

Would you have congratulated them if Goodluck Jonathan had sold those assets to them in a competitive bidding auction or privatization?
I said earlier in this thread that service delivery is key irrespective of whoever, if asari or tompolo can deliver service let them buy up the assets after all, the vessels NIMASA uses for their enforcement on sea and other security purposes are owned by tompolo on a public-private partnership which is working very well [I am involved in the maritime industry to know this], heavens have not fallen and the contract is still on.

Anyone who will tun around those FG assets for maximum productivity is welcome, Let's stop blacklisting ourselves as Ngerians, Dstv is there mesmerizing us about and we can't do anything but we only know how to blacklist ourselves.

Let's exploit our strengths as a nation instead of focusing on our weaknesses, this is where the developed nations are ahead of us

Is Jonathan's brain a Pentium 1 brain that he cannot multitask, despite the myriads of challenges that was brought upon him by people and himself?

Jonathan said the pillar of his government were SEerners and not SSerners. What were those SE people doing in 6years. Busy being sycophants they are known for and singing siddon siddon siddon and No Vacancy for GEJ.

PDP had the highest Senators and Reps, why was the Ibaka issue not legislated on, passed into law and gazetted. Once that is done, no government can reverse it. Don't you understand.

Your argument about Akwa Ibom not having the legal right to develop the seaport does not hold water. Lagos conceptualised Lekki Deep Seaport and started it with FG and private investors joining in. First thing first, it was a visionary idea conceptualised by Fashola and they got the buy in of FG and private investors later.

That is a governor that was in the opposition party.

What stopped Akpabio for good 8years from.achieving same? At what time did the leaders of Akwa Ibom paid Akpabio or GEJ a visit, tasking them on the completion of the Ibaka project. None to my best of knowledge.

It amazes me that the government that does not have the time for Ibaka, invested in Lekki Seaport, was eating with 1bn, was buying presidential jets, was doling out dollars to.people.

Let your leaders take responsibility for their inactions and actions. Point accusing fingers at them and not Yorubas.
that is why am waiting to see how the ss and se will play opposition politics which I doubt cos their style of opposition politics here is to whine and cry about the sw and the north depriving them of their daily bread, with the way they are crying now, I see a mass defection to apc in the ss and se in the next three months just watch and see, no be for this naija

Do you people think at all?

There are more legitimate business men who can easily finance and maintain these assests if they are put through a transparent bidding process.

The issues here is that the new incoming goverment will sell this properties as part of their compensation to party stalwarts and the price on this properties will be watered down. Also, expect the funding to come from western banks thereby tying us down to a system based on the dollar that requires our patronage to have any value in the first place.

On paper there is no reason why these properties are should remain rotting away but what is morally wrong is ho they will end up in the hands of APC stalwart Bola Tinubu through an impartial bidding process.

Try and get sense for once.
it is you that should get sense, name the legitimate business men in Nigeria, draw up your list and let me see, some of you guys think we will be carried away with your bunkum analysis, am not saying that tinubu should be the one to buy it, but the guy i quoted earlier asked that what is wrong if tinubu buys it, is it not a competition and bidding issue? like i said if jonathan wants to buy the properties too, there is nothing wrong, its all about who can deliver service, where were you guys when pdp was selling off our national assets to their cronies who can't deliver service, e.g. the privatization of power, do you have power now? you guys don't complain about that but when you hear the name tinubu, you all rush in here with all your bigotry and useless analysis.

My friend anybody who can deliver the service should buy up the damn thing, Government has failed to maintain our assets, even if asari or tompolo is ready to deliver good service, let them buy it chikena.

I'm sorry but what's wrong with him buying?? I'm glad you said buying and not giving Tinubu for free. If Tinubu buys it and develops it or turns these assets around, please what's wrong with that?? I'll rather a Tinubu buy it than it just wasting away. If other private investors are interested, let them show their interest and plans. Whoever has the best plans should have the opportunity to buy it. Now if other investors are denied even though they have a better plan, then this should be revealed to the world. Buhari has said he won't show favoritism even to his own children so at the point of such a revelation we'll hold him to his word.

Just simply saying Tinubu wants to buy these assets to turn them around and making it seem like that's a bad thing doesn't really make sense.

I wish other politicians would at least use their money to develop the country rather than buying streets in the US or buying out stores in Dubai while the rest of the loot is just sitting pretty in foreign accounts.
my guy you make sense die, exactly my thoughts, the issue here is service delivery chikena, nothing stops oga jona from buying as well and deliver good service, we Nigerians can just be silly at times, we excel well in jealousy and hatred

I don't disagree with your assessment. Overall Igbos see it as a Northern and SW party. But the main members are indeed Northerners and SW'ers. This is perhaps the fault of Igbo leaders for sticking with PDP and APGA for being to linked to PDP to jump ship.
At the end Rochas won, so what does that say? More than half of Igbos or at least Imolites see beyond tribal affiliation.

Btw most of my closest friends are Yoruba so I don't get the "your hate towards the west and North is too much" part.
I'm sure you love the North, South, East and West too smiley
Pdp is largely dominated by the northerners too, its because they have been in the centre for long, that is why you have lots of igbos too. just wait and see how the dynamics will change after may 29, they are just still whining about jona defeat, in few months time, large number of igbo politicians will be in the apc along with their ss counterparts. They don't have an history of opposition politics and they are not ready for it now if not they won't be asking for an FCT ministerial slot so soon, they know what it means to them if they don't have mouth in Abuja.

I think Nigerians just like issues. Since when does the opinion of a few citizens represent a whole Tribe/Region. So if I go to BBC and say a Nigerian must be made the British Deputy Prime Minister, does that mean that is what majority of even any other Nigerian wants?

This post is just to add fuel to the fiery tension between Nigerians. In fact our discussions are pointless and unfounded.

At the end, if Buhari is just and sincere about his stance on corruption, appointments wouldn't matter because the appointed would work solely in the interest of Nigeria as a whole

The group is right by saying over 70% of the investment belongs to the Igbos. The DOME, grand Square, Bollingo etc belong to them. During Jonathan under an economy supervised by Madam Okonjo, Diezani, Anyim, Ernest Nwapa at the local content deal, the power deal with them at the BPE, NERC and ministerial level, the investment becomes greater. The centenary city deal and various investment in the capital city belongs to them even right from military era.

The only wrong information given is the segmentation of the populace into political and economic. The igbos are the majority in population. To say the indigenes are 65% of the population is mis-leading and an attempt to run away from the future of FCT and Nasarawa state. The igbos control the population for now. The Gwaris (Abuja native indigene) are now few in number.

The best is to make Eze Ndigbo the official traditional ruler of FCT in addition to the ministerial seat. Population determines who wins an election in an area. when you have population and investment, then you have everything. Eko o ni baje o
don't worry, the real owners of the land will be back to answer you guys very soon, the igbos are the ones always making the noise and contesting statistics, empty barrels make the loudest noise, if you are a majority in an area, you dont need to come and make noise, the whole world will know and not contest anything with you.

Have you ever heard the igalas in kogi state coming out to make noise that they are the largest in population in that state. The whole world knows and don't contest it with them at all, they always show it in the political space there.

like I said earlier, the true owners of FCT will come out and show you guys where you belong, just wait lol

people are so funny o, it was so clear two years ago that oga jona will loose election, we kept telling some folks but some Nigerians find it so hard to believe that an incumbent President will loose an election simply because he has all Govt institutions in the palms of his hand including the military, this is actually why some folks are finding it difficult to accept the Presidential election results.

They thought the commando style used in rivers state will happen everywhere and I ask someone that how many police officers and military officers do we have to achieve that, Nigeria is just too large for that.

I sympathize with all looser cos there is always a first time after all ajimobi broke the jinx of a second term in Oyo which has never happened before not with the great bola ige sef.

So the presidential elections was not daylight robbery against GEJ, ochestrated by Jega and the northern political establishment? Arrant nonsense from a party adept at lies and propaganda. If the results from over ten northern states where subjected to judicial scrutiny, the entire elections in that region would be cancelled, yet GEJ decided in the interest of saving lives and property of nigerians, to accept defeat. Amaechi should bury his head in shame because no elections in the south south will be cancelled by anybody, else the entire general elections that threw up GMB would also be cancelled. He should go to Abuja and lick his wounds in silence because any attempt to foment further trouble would be met with disastrous consequences for both him and his party.A word is enough for the wise.
it doesn't justify what happened in rivers and if the whole Presidential election were to be cancelled and done all over again, are you sure oga Jonah will win?
