Family › Re: How Do I Ask My Cousin To Leave My House? by golddare: 3:55pm On Feb 19, 2020
NevetsIbot:
How Best Do I Handle This Issue With My Cousins August visit?

Hello everyone. I hope I don't get to bore you all too much with this palava I've found myself in.

I understand how sensitive family can be and that's why this is giving me a little bit of headache.

I have this Cousin; My aunts son from my father's side. We're almost age mates. We got to meet last year April. We had seen each other last about 17yrs ago. So it was more or less like Personalities coming in contact. As expected, we differed a lot. He was more of a rough guy, impatient with needless bravado and a penchant for letting people know how though he thinks he is.

He schools in Ogun state and I in Ondo. We met last year when he came to my school to see me. I overlooked his stupid acts as per that was our first time of meeting and he was going to spend just three days.

He told me he wanted to come again this year and I told him it'd have to be after exams ending by march - knowing fully well that by then, I'd drop another excuse. The semester is crazy right now and I have to divide my time between academics, executive duties in school, art and interior decorations I do. I get home earliest 10pm almost every day.

Last night around 1am... I was seated outside my villa enjoying the night breeze and trying to write a few articles when my neighbor asked me if this my cousin had come... I was confused. My cousin had told this girl he was coming and truly he was on his way.. all the way from Ogun state. At 1am. It was when it got a bit crazy in the street that he called me to help him get to my villa. Which I did but didn't speak to him... Wouldn't trash my cousin before a girl.

The issue is this.

1. I need my privacy.. Being alone helps me focus on work and academics. I need nobody around me. My grades need to be revamped.

2. I don't smoke and I laid down rules that he should never try it around me... I got home today to pick an artwork and my charlet was full of smoke. He did that.

3. Talks with the rural rugged guys in my area. I don't want any mix whatsoever with those guys

4. His bravado is next to foolishness. Where's he's supposed to stay low, he'll act up. He sags extra lower than normal, wears earrings and talks like a thug.

5. He seems to attract cultists to himself even in his school. He's more or less like a baby I need to monitor

I'm not an S.U but I try to show myself as responsible in wherever I stay. Ion smoke. I'm fashionable but don't go extra mile like a juvenile.

Please, I need the best way to eject this guy out of my place ASAP. I'm too busy to have someone around. I do not need this. Talking to him in a brotherly manner makes him flare up. I wouldn't want to make this rough as I tend to lose control when I get really angry.

Please advise
1.Manage him till the end of your rent, change your accommodation and your sim card. That guy is trouble.

Or

2. Dust your bible since you are not SU and make church activitvities and vigils matter to tire him.

African American man kidnaps a white woman and forces her to watch nine-hour slavery documentary "Roots" to 'understand her racism'

An African American man kidnapped a white woman and forced her to watch nine-hour slavery documentary Roots so she could 'understand her racism'.

Cedar Rapids police seized 52-year-old Trevor Noye on Monday on charges of first-degree harassment and false imprisonment.

Trevor Noye

The woman, who was not clearly described in previous reports as being white, was allegedly forced to sit with Noye and threatened when she tried to move from watching the 1977 TV miniseries.

He forced her to watch the nine-hour show, which details the ancestral line of the author Alex Haley, 'so she could better understand her racism', a police complaint said.

Noye threatened to 'kill her and spread her body parts across Interstate 380 on the way to Chicago', when she tried to move away, according to the Gazette.

Trevor Noye, 52, allegedly held a woman captive and forced her to watch nine-hour TV miniseries Roots at a residence in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was arrested on Monday.

Roots, which first aired on American TV in 1977, and follows the struggles of one African American family told over several generations. It remains the third most-watched US telecast of all time after the final episode saw around 100million viewers tune in.

The book and subsequent miniseries were seminal in opening the discussion about the legacy of slavery and race in America.

Ouchbabe:
Pls my fellow Nairalanders,

I have been married for 8years now. My husband is nice and caring but I don't like the fact that he likes moving at night. He comes home as late as 12am.

He is currently looking for a job now and most times his reason for coming home late is because he is hanging out with friends. I have discussed this issue with him severally and expressed that I don't like his night movement. On such occasions he will promise not to come home late but the promise is never kept. I have told him the dangers of moving late in a city like Lagos.

The annoying part is that he is not coming home late from work rather because he i s with friends. Most times our young children will stay up late hoping to see him before going to bed but they will wait in vain as he will not be home before they will sleep off.

Note: Even though I'm working, I make sure the house is clean and food ready before he comes home. I don't nag and I'm good looking.

Pls I need suggestions on how to make him stop this night waka.

Please move to front page for wider view
Just use the method that someone used to threaten her husband without him knowing, I tell you he will stay at home. That lagos night life is a Spirit and once you enter only God can pull you out. If you see the ungodly stuffs they do...

I wish Soyinka and other great men like him should dissociate themselves from PDP and APC. They should unite and stand behind all the youths with character and leadership qualities. Let them engage Nigerians in a discussion and pacts, discuss development, education, economy and welfare system. They shouldn't wait till election period.

You cant change a man's life until you have changed his mind, it will take years to reoriente the North, their leaders did a good job, they attacked their mindset and values. I haven't seen such a people that have been enslaved with religion and politics by elites.
I pity the youths of the North and I believe the only quota system they need to change is status quo.

Diligentnigga:
Good morning Nairalanders, I will make this as short as possible and please don't mind my punctuation as I am typing this in a rush

I am a graduate, though unemployed but doing one or two menial jobs to keep mind and soul together

I have this girlfriend I have been dating for almost two years now. We both love each other but the issue at hand is she's a stubborn, anger driven person that insults my parents. In fact hit me sometimes and says all manner of words at me.

Of recent, I found out she's pregnant this February. Now the issue is she's a finalist in the University as she will be serving this year October, but we had plans of not doing abortion but she's so ashamed of everything and just irrational and saying all manners like what people will say this and that, and I have told her I will stay by her through everything. I informed my mum and my immediate siblings about the pregnancy, they were angry but they were like it's fine sha since she's loved in the family

Now the issue is
1 She's very stubborn
2 she insults my parents at every small argument
3 she's anger driven, yes am anger driven to an extent also but I have never used my anger to do stupid things like hitting her before compare to many times she has Slapped, locked my shirt and punched me.
4 we had an issue last night and it was in public and she was just shouting at me, passers by and onlookers were just amused that why would a lady be like this that she now had to take a big stone and throw at me, though I dodged the stone all because i was gearing her to let's leave the public scene and go home
5 A baby is on the line cos she's pregnant and even if you will advise me to leave the relationship as it's toxic, what about the unborn child.
6 I am currently unemployed and in fact am still at home not yet balanced up well enough, but she has used nags to kill me, saying all manners at me

All insults are welcomed. Please I am in die need of advise thank you.
Dont be angry likewise cos am writing in a hurry too.
1. Get up, go out and hustle, you will soon be a father but dont do crime.

2. Thats a pregnant woman's mood for you.

3. How much was condom the last time I checked?

made4naijamusic:
TBoss this afternoon went live on Instagram to lay curses on a troll who referred to her child as Ugly.

Recall that the ex-BBNaija housemate revealed the face of her daughter for the first time on Valentine's day, six months after she welcomed her. Trolls left hateful comments under her post, mocking her child and referring to the child as ''ugly.''

In a live video on Instagram which she did this afternoon, TBoss said she was 35 when she found out that she was pregnant and since marriage wasn't coming for her, she embraced motherhood which she says has been her greatest achievement.

Weeping profusely, the reality TV star said she never wanted to share the photo of her child as she felt it was in the best interest of her daughter not to. However, she was pressured by her family members to share her baby's photo but trolls were very unkind with their comments.

Picking a negative comment from one MsHafsat, a visibly angry TBoss placed a curse on the IG troll that she will never carry her own child.

Watch a clip from the live video below.

And extraordinary confusion continues. Tuesday got to be a very great day. My only prayer is that the wise men and women in the apex court should expertise justice in the case of David Lyon, how can someone throw away the baby and bathwater just because the baby pop inside?

Even God in his infinite grace has made provision to separate the chaff from the seed on the last day rather than destroying everything on the account of wickedness.
I dont think anything will change with Lyons case, it's a bad case but because you mentioned God, I rest my case.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Importance Of Restitution In Believer's Life. by golddare:
Sunnyvision:
Restitution is a process of compensation for loss or injury. in other words, making amend for wrongs done to people or neighbor, restorating stolen thing to there rightful owner, paying debt, giving back to where one as defrauded, apologizing to those hurt or slandered so as to have a conscience free from offence toward God and man. Luke 19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham. Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. (Numbers 5:6-8; Genesis 20:1-18; leviticus 6:1-7; Matthew 5:23,24).

Making restitution ensures we have right relationship with God and man, God requires that we make amends to any person we've injured or wronged as a mark of true repentance. There is need for Christians to be ready to do restitution either by offends or Human error of judgement.
Do you have any pressing need for restitution, do you have a free conscience, it's up to you. pray too God to assist you in order to make your ways right before God and man.
It's a topic that if care is not taken it will override the power of forgiveness when one repents, confess and accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
Some person overflogged the issue using the flesh to impose on people to restititute.

Jesu told those he saved to go and sin no more. There was never a place he said until you restitute before you can be saved. Zaccheus action was a sign of true repentance and infact he was only fulfilling the law that existed during his time which says you must refund back.

I am not saying one should not restutitute but let the Holy Spirit instruct people and not humans.
Dont limit the work at calvary with restitution.

Come to think of it, is there anyone that doesnt have one thing or the other to restitute?

Jesus said to that prostitute

She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” John 8:11

Jesus said to the thief on the cross

Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." Luke 23 :43

And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’ Act 2:21

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10 : 9-10

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Dont get me wrong, all I am saying is that repentance is powerful and the finished work on the cross of calvary must not be watered with the doctrine of restitution.
You can restitute if the Holy Spirit and conscience instructs you.
