Be About His Work - Tuesday, May 31st .

Pastor Chris

...This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven (Acts 1:11).

More than ever, you must take your participation and involvement in the things of God very seriously. Commit yourself to God's vision. His vision is soul winning; He wants the whole earth to be filled with the knowledge of His glory as the waters cover the sea. Hence, everything you do must be geared towards winning souls for Jesus Christ; it's your calling. Stay focused and committed to it.

Make no mistakes, He's coming back again, and He needs to find you busy, doing what He told you to do. He said to His disciples, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). If you truly love Him, do His will; live for Him. Don't let your life be conditioned to this earth. Let Him come and find you doing what He's called you to do.

You may ask, "How soon is He coming?" Very soon! It doesn't matter if it's in a matter of days, weeks, months or years; as long as you're in fellowship with Him, walking in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7), when He comes, you'll be ready. You might just be winning souls on that day, or disturbing Rhapsody of Realities when that trumpet sounds, but you'll hear it. The Bible says, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed" (1 Corinthians 15:52).

Put away every distraction and be afire for the Lord, fulfilling the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). Let God, and His work of kingdom expansion, be all that you live for. One day, you're going to stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ, and give account for everything He instructed you to do (2 Corinthians 5:10). Let Him say to you at the end, "...Well done, thou good and faithful servant..." (Matthew 25:21).

Prayer...
Precious Lord, your zeal and passion have consumed me, and like never before, I'm spreading the message of the Gospel of Christ into the nations of the world. I'm enabled by the Spirit, to proclaim the Word with power and boldness, turning many from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, and into their inheritance in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Further Study:
Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Luke 21:25-27
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Faith Comes In The Word - Monday, May 30

Pastor Chris

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you (Luke 17:6).

Jesus emphasized that the smallest amount of faith can produce great results. Someone may say, "How am I sure I have faith, let alone little one?" The Bible says, "...God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith" (Romans 12:3). Notice that it says, "the measure of faith"; that means there's a definite measure for everybody.

We all received the same measure of faith at the new birth, but what you do with yours is what matters; you have to make it grow. Some have made their faith grow, some others haven't; they're still living at the level of faith after many years of being a Christian. You must exercise and grow your faith by putting it to work.

When you think you don't have enough faith, then you need to hear more of God's Word; the Word will produce and impart faith to your spirit. You don't have to struggle or try to make it happen; just hear the Word, and faith will be stirred in your spirit: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).

A young man walked into church some years ago, having been convinced by his friends to come. He came in with so much doubt and unbelief, but as he listened to the Word being preached, he began to have a change of heart. When I had a chat with him after the service, he said to me, "Somehow, I believed the things you preached." He believed because faith came to him in the Word.

You might have noticed sometimes, as you listen to God's Word, maybe while in church, or on your own during your personal study, the whole world suddenly seems small. All the challenges you may have been facing suddenly seem like nothing. The reason is that when the Word of God enters your spirit, it sparks up faith in you. Every time you hear God's Word, your spirit is energized; the Word becomes real in your spirit, giving you a sense of victory and dominion.

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for the faith that your Word bolsters in me even now! Armed with the Word in my heart, and in my mouth, I surmount challenges, change situations, work miracles, and consistently walk in victory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Further Study:
1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Romans 4:18-20
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

PoliticsRe: Soldiers Arrest 10 Suspected Members Of Niger Delta Avengers, Recover Weapons by Gombs(m):
The Nigerian Army has arrested 10 suspected members of the militant group, Niger Delta Avengers .

The suspects were said to have been arrested at about 1:40am on Saturday, in Oporaza community, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, following a cordon and search operation conducted in the community.

Several oil installations in the region have been vandalised by militants suspected to be members of the Niger Delta Avengers, threatening the production and supply of oil and gas in the country.

‎The Commander of the 4 Brigade, Brigadier-General Farouk Yahaya, who paraded the suspects on Sunday in Benin, the Edo State capital, explained that there had been several cases of sabotage by suspected militants and vandals in Delta State since January 1, 2016‎, as well as further warnings and threats “to shut down all operations” in the sector.

He, however, noted that‎ several items were recovered from the arrested suspects.

They include 28 detonator cords (also known Detonator 33), one pistol, two empty pistol magazines, 196 rounds of 7.62 special ammunition, one round of nine-millimetre ‎ammunition, a live cartridge and five daggers.

Also recovered were 15 handheld radio sets, 18 phones, 203 SIM cards of three major network providers, ‎five swimsuits, two headlamps, a laptop, two ipads and a camera.

Others are seven wraps of substances suspected to be Indian hemp, five speedboat throttle cables, six pairs of hand gloves‎, N23,000 cash and a cheque book.

He said that although investigation would reveal the true identity of the suspects, recent explosions carried out by the Niger Delta Avengers suggested that the arrested suspects may be connected to the group.

He added, “Within the period under review, you can see that the Niger Delta Avengers have claimed virtually all acts of criminal activities against oil and gas and they continue threatening a shutdown of the whole sector. So, most likely, they (suspects) will be the people, who else would they be?

2. Note what was said to have been discovered, yet no pictures.

3. Note, they aren't even sure of what they're doing. I don't know if it's bad journalism or real desperate moves by the military to put some shine on Democracy day.

4. The last bold statement made me hiss, what kind of reasoning do we have in our security outfits? If these guys are really criminals but not the NDA, do you know what it would do in the ranks and file of NDA? They'd get super careful, clinical and ruthless. Lies won't win that war..

LIFE BEYOND THIS WORLD!
(The God-Life Is Found In Christ)

TO THE BIBLE;
1 John 5:11-12
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

LET’S TALK
Some young people get initiated as members of gangs, secret cults, and societies, because they believe they can get something more than the natural human life in such groups. They engage in all kinds of vices and nefarious activity, believing that they will give them the edge. However, no one needs to join such groups to obtain supernatural powers or influence. Indeed, there’s a life beyond the ordinary human life, and that’s the God-life found only in Christ! Jesus brought this life and immortality to light through the Gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).

In John 5:26, He declared, “For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself.” The life Jesus is referring to here is the God-life! You only find it when you make Jesus Christ Lord of your life. It’s the life He had when He walked the face of the earth, and He had the fullness of it in Him (Colossians 1:19). This God-life is a special kind of life. It’s the life that, if anyone would have, he would live forever. It’s a life that dominates sickness and disease, and reigns over the devil; it’s the miracle-life of God.

However, this life is only for those who have received Christ Jesus: If you believe that God raised Jesus back to life, and have confessed Him as your Lord and Saviour, you’ll have this same life. This new divine life of God in you completely supplants the human life with which you were born of your parents; it’s a life beyond this world!

GO DEEPER
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 20:31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

PRAY
I’m conscious of the life of God in me. I live above sickness, disease, poverty, pain, and the devil, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

We "Prove" His Will - Sunday, May 29

Pastor Chris

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).

The word "prove" in our opening verse is the Greek "dokimazo," a very interesting word. Let me get you to fully appreciate its import by painting you a picture. If you've ever travelled to a foreign country, you most certainly would have passed through 'customs and immigration' before you were allowed in. Usually, you're made to pass through or pass your things through some machine to scan whatever you have, to be sure you're not bringing in contraband. The 'customs or immigration' officials scrutinize you to decide if you're eligible to go in. That's "dokimazo."

When it says, "...that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:2) it means, like those officers, you're God's man or woman to scrutinize, decide, and choose the good things that you want to come into this world; things that conform with the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

You're the expression of His goodness; the vent for His glory. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." We're the righteousness of God; His righteous ones. We give expression to God's glory; we allow the good things of God to come into this World. It's our calling. All of creation is in pain, groaning and waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). And God says to us, "prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." It's our job.

Now you can further understand what Jesus meant when He said whatever you forbid on earth is forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth is permitted in heaven (Matthew 18:18). So, what are you going to allow into your world? Let good things come through you. Allow His joy, peace, prosperity, love, kindness, and righteousness, flow through you to your world. When people see you, let them see joy; joy unspeakable and full of glory. Hallelujah!

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for guiding me in the path of your perfect will for my life through the guidance from your Word, and the Holy Spirit. I express your goodness, righteousness, love, glory, and joy, filling my world with the aroma of your glory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Further Study:
Romans 8:19

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Christianity EtcRe: My Response To Hard Mirror Threads by Gombs(m):
I John 2:19
King James Bible
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

I have tried to understand what was behind the mind of John when he wrote the above words, and not until recently, I understood. I have read to a bearable extent the tales by Hardmirror, and I could relate with them for they are nothing but the attack of the devil. The devil never really changed his tactics, he' s been in the business of questioning all God has said or done for us. He questioned Jesus after God told all creation to listen to Him, He questioned God's instruction to Adam via Eve, even when Jesus healed Lazarus the bible told us the devil through some folks sought to re-kill lazarus, just to deny the fact that a miracle happened to the glory of God.

When we became Christians we became a target constantly bombard by the devil, and the intensity grows as you walk in the Spirit doing the supernatural. It's recorded in the bible where miracles were wrought and some folks as today wanted to deny the miracle...It's been a hard trick of the devil even in today's church. Let me give another example of such, aside that of Lazarus.

Peter and John just finished doing some miracles, and them religious/sceptic folks of the day (same as today's) didn't like it at all, infact they had to summon them. The man healed was not a child, bible said so, and these rulers really wanting to deny this miracle, but the healed man was standing right before them, so in verse 16 and 17, they said something remarkably amazing in Acts 4

“What are we going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it. 17 But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”

from he above, we see the devil hasn't stopped the same old trick of questioning miracles (he does it through his kids mostly), But why would they want to deny the miracle? Why did they want to stop the gospel from spreading further, seeing it just healed someone? From the above, I found out that this gospel has been severally tried to be wiped out by several rulers, kingdoms, empires etc...but they all came and passed away, but this gospel remained. I used to think God kept folks in different generation to preserve the gospel, they even called King James the defender of the Faith, but i found out GOD NEVER NEEDED ANYONE TO DEFEND THE GOSPEL. The gospel has its own life...it will and cannot be stopped.

What made me not bother trying to reach further to Hardmirror was what the bible told me, after his brouhaha. He scoffed at the word of truth he claimed to have handled; in fact, he just fulfilled scriptures.

Jude 1: 18-19
New Living Translation
They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires.
These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God's Spirit in them.

Whae Hardmorror went through or experienced is not alien to other christians. I have had down times I questioned what i believed in. There were times I wanted to throw in the towel... But when i think of the word of truth I've handled, when i see the lives of those who this message has changed, when i get text messages of those who kept thanking me for leading them to Christ, when i think of the fellowship with he Spirit, and answered prayers... When I think of those who look up to me for inspiration in the faith (I teach foundation school, and all my student don't turn out ordinary, except they chose so)... I take solace by the Spirit in one of my favorite scripture

1 Corinthians 15:58 New International Version (NIV)

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Paul wrote, we are pressed on both sides, but never crushed, perplexed but never in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, stuck down but not destroyed. Dear Hardmirror, if you created those thread truly after saying you did all those for God, then i could only say may it not totally be true. I just hope there's still hope for you... Your ranting here does not stop God from being Great, neither does your denial of His existence prove His inexistence...but i tell most guys who do not want to be accountable and responsible for the morality, who suddenly claim they are atheists, and throw everything down to disprove God's existence is... "Every knee will bow and every tongue willl confess that Jesus is Lord". It's just a matter of time.

TO THE BIBLE; 2 Corinthians 9:7 AMP
"Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, "prompt to do it"wink giver [whose heart is in his giving]."
LET'S TALK
This scripture above is a spiritual principle that is guaranteed to always produce results: "Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, "prompt to do it"wink giver [whose heart is in his giving]" (2 Corinthians 9:7 AMP)
Take the experience of Solomon for an example. The Bible records in 1 Kings 3:4 that he offered a thousand burnt offerings to God, and this moved the Lord to visit him the same night: "...the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night. And God said, Ask what I shall give you" (1 Kings 3:5 AMP). He got a blank cheque from the Lord for his big giving. This clearly shows that no matter how big we give, we can never out-give God. Make up your mind this year to give bigger than you've ever done.
Your giving begins with giving to God that which belongs to Him. That means your firstfruit offerings and tithes. When you do this, He'll surely multiply your seeds down and increase your capacity to give, and you'll have more and more.

He's Given Us Everything - Saturday, May 28

Pastor Chris

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).

The truth in our opening verse is also paralleled in 1 Corinthians 3:21; it says, "Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours." Did you notice it doesn't say "some things," or "only the things you pray about are yours?" Rather, it says all things are yours! This is the reality. Affirm it. Believe the Word and act accordingly.

The Word of God is very clear about this. This isn't something to argue with, doubt or negotiate. Everything you require: the money, facilities, ideas, vision, human, and material resources, etc., have all been granted you in Christ Jesus. You have everything that's required for an extraordinary life of righteousness and glory in the earth; everything that's necessary for you to live and excel in the God-life. This means you can live for God; you can be effective in doing things for Him, ministering to Him, and living triumphantly every day!

Knowing this, therefore, how could you be in lack? David said, "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). How could you live the down life? Refuse to see the problems and lapses in this world. Live the higher life. You're Abraham's seed. Live above this world's systems. It doesn't matter the circumstances in the earth realm; you're not of the earth. Do what the Word says, and walk your way upwards from glory to glory.

Confession...
I've been blessed and fortified in Christ Jesus with everything I need for life, and godliness; therefore, I live triumphantly today and always! I'm walking in the glory of God, pleasing Him in all things, and fruitful in every good work. He's made my life pleasant; I'm a delightsome land, a tree of righteousness, producing fruits of righteousness. Blessed be the Lord!

EVERYTHING IS COOL.

(A Rock-Solid Warm Fellowship With The Lord)

TO THE BIBLE 1 John 1:3.

“That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

LET’S TALK.

Have you ever heard someone say that when you do something wrong, you “break fellowship” with God? Such people claim that though your relationship to Him isn’t affected, until you’ve “settled the score” with God, you’re not in fellowship with Him. People who believe this have this idea because of their own human experiences with their parents, family members, friends etc. They imagine God as one who gives them the “silent treatment,” when there’s an “issue.” They feel their fellowship with Him is broken until the matter is settled. But that’s not true!

You never achieved fellowship with God because of your righteousness; it came because He gave you His righteousness. How then could your righteousness sustain it? The truth is, your fellowship with God isn’t and can never be affected by anything that you do or don’t do. He already knew that you couldn’t make it on your own, which is the reason He also made allowance for your errors by making it possible for you to receive forgiveness (1 John 1:9).

Never think of God as a Father who holds on to issues with any of His kids; His love is higher and deeper than that. Like Paul, come to the point where you’re persuaded that “...neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

Let Him Lead You - Friday, May 27

Pastor Chris

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25).

Walking in the Spirit is walking in the light of God's Word. When you walk in the Spirit, no matter what your senses tell you, you'll be able to discern which direction God wants you to go. Many people live in uncertainty. But as a child of God, the Spirit of God is in your life to lead and guide you. He guides you in the perfect will of God, away from defeat, failure, and anything that hurts.

Learn to live according to the Spirit. John said we should walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7). And Jesus said, "...I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12). To follow Jesus is to walk in accordance with the Word; it's to walk in the direction of God's Spirit for your life. Let Him guide you. In your job, He can tell you what to do; same as with your family, health, finances, and other areas of your life. All you need is to yield to Him.

He's your protection. He's your shield. He's your courage and your strength. He's your ability. Christians whose lives are full of struggles have one major problem: they're yet to allow the Holy Spirit fully take over their lives. You were brought into an extraordinary life of rest, glory, endless possibilities and victories when you were born again, and the One to lead and guide you in the path God ordained for you to walk, is the Holy Spirit!

When He's charge of your life, circumstances and situations will always work in your favour. He'll bring perfection to your life. He'll cause you to grow from strength to strength, from grace to grace, from faith to faith, and from one level of greatness to another. Trust Him with your life. Commit your pursuits in life to Him, and He'll lead you through victoriously. It's His joy for you to be a success and live triumphantly every day.

Prayer...
Dear Lord, thank you for showing me the path of life, wherein I have glory, abundance, health, peace, and fulfilment. I walk in the light, for your Word is a lamp to guide me, and a light for my path! I'm yielded to the guidance and rulership of your Spirit always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

GUIDANCE FROM WITHIN.

(You’ll Hear Him Clearly From Your Spirit)

TO THE  BIBLE  Genesis 28:16-17

“When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it. He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.””

LET’S TALK.

Jacob only realised he’d been in God’s presence after he had a dream in which he saw the angels of God ascending and descending heaven on a ladder. Then he said, “…Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it” (Genesis 28:16 NASB). This still happens today: The Lord can be in a place without those there knowing it. When we say, “The Lord is in this place,” in our meetings, some people who don’t know what we’re talking about start looking around for some smoke, fire or other “spectacular” sign of His presence. No, He doesn’t always announce Himself that way!

Once, Elijah needed to hear from God, and the Bible says, “…behold…a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle…” (1 Kings 19:11-13 KJV).

Elijah apparently expected God to manifest Himself in the wind, earthquake, and fire, but He didn’t; instead, He showed up in a still small voice. That’s typical of how the Lord leads us today through His Word and the Holy Spirit; He guides us from within, in our spirits. Your spirit bears witness with the Word as He counsels and instructs you from within. Proverbs 20:27 says, “The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the innermost parts of his being” ; that’s where the light of God is; that’s where He guides you from—not through the senses.

Value Spiritual Things - Thursday, May 26.

Pastor Chris

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? (Genesis 25:32).

Obadiah 1:21 tells us something striking; it says,
“And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau….” Esau represents the godless, the profane or body-ruled; those who don’t have value for spiritual things. Such people, the Bible says, are in the flesh and therefore can’t please God (Romans 8:8 ).

Esau was the older brother of Jacob, and because of his profanity, he sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of food. The spiritual implication of his action didn’t quite dawn on him at the time. It wasn’t about the food he ate; it was about his disdain for spiritual things. The birthright was spiritual. It had a special blessing, yet Esau forfeited it to his younger brother, because of food. What he wanted was for physical gratification: what he could touch, taste, or feel at that moment. And he got it. He made a carnal choice over that which was spiritual.

Jacob, on the other hand, was smart. He wanted the blessing, and he got it. The blessing is an unseen elixir. The senses can’t perceive the blessing. What you can see about the blessing are the results of the blessing. It’s like the anointing of God’s Spirit; you can’t see or touch the anointing, but it’s real, and it’s supernatural.

There’re some today who have no value for spiritual things; they’re like Esau. They’ll rather sit at home to watch a sports event at the time they ought to be in church. They’d rather accommodate social engagements when they ought to be praying. These are carnal Christians. What life are you living? What are the things that are important to you? What do you set your affections on? Does the blood of Jesus that was shed for you on the cross mean something to you? Do you meditate often on His vicarious sacrifice on your behalf? Have you sat down to contemplate and comprehend the love of God demonstrated towards you? Does He have the rulership in your life every day?

Let Christ, and the reign of His glorious Kingdom be all that truly matters to you. Let your passion for spiritual things, and love for the Master, be evident in all you do.

Prayer...
Gracious and loving Father, thank you for your love for me, and your glory that’s evident in my life. Thank you for your Lordship and leadership over my life, and for your wisdom that guides me always in your perfect will. My life is for your glory, now and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Born To Reign - Wednesday, May 25

Pastor Chris

...Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world... (John 18:37).

The Bible tells us how God appeared to Abraham when he was ninety years old, and blessed him. He said to him, "And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee" (Genesis 17:6). Some Bible translations say, "...some kings will come out of thee," but that's wrong. God wasn't thinking about the kings of Israel and Judah that would reign over His people; He was talking about a generation that'd be born as kings.

In the following verse, the Lord said, "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee." His everlasting covenant wasn't with Abraham's physical, earthly seeds like Isaac, Jacob etc., who only received the blessing in part.

Galatians 3:16 says, "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." The seed He was talking about is Christ, and we're heirs of the promises that were made to Abraham because we're in Christ: "And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Galatians 3:29).

So, when God said to Abraham "...kings shall come out of thee...," He was actually talking of us, the new creation. Romans 5:17 says, "For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." The Greek rendering of the word, "reign" accurately means "to king." Thus, the actual Greek construction should be, "...they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall king in life, by one, Jesus Christ."

You were born to reign (to king) in life over demons, sickness and disease, poverty, failure, circumstances and death, because you're Abraham's seed, and a joint heir with Christ. Therefore, have the mentality of absolute success and dominion. Christ reigns on earth today through you.

Confession...
I know who I am! I'm Abraham's seed and I reign and rule in this life. I walk in the consciousness of abundance and dominion because I'm a joint-heir with Christ; therefore, all things are mine!

Further Study:

Galatians 3:7-9
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Don't Delay - Tuesday, May 24

Pastor Chris

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4).

Avoid procrastination. Don't delay in the things you should do. Act at the right time; act while you can, because the opportunity may not always be there. What's that vision the Lord laid in your heart at the beginning of the year? How far have you fulfilled it? It could be about your evangelical work as a Christian or a minister of the Gospel. It could be about your job or family or even your health. Don't delay. Be about what He asked you to do, and refuse to be distracted.

Oftentimes, when you don't do what you should do at the right time, your inaction could prevent you from getting to the next level of your life. So, do the right things at the right time. It's one of the benefits of yielding yourself to the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God; His wisdom propels you to do the right thing at the right time, the right way, for the right purpose.

Sometimes, the consequences of delay could take several years to correct; so, take action now. Don't delay in doing the Lord's bidding. Once you take the step and put the required effort into that which He has inspired you to do, His miracle-power comes upon your efforts, and His glory is revealed in what you do. So, don't delay to act on His Word. Don't delay to act on His instructions and the inspirations that come to you.

Some people get the prompting of the Spirit to do something, but they ignore that prompting, because they want to pursue some other things first. Sadly, they often never get a second chance. It pays to know the voice of the Lord and respond promptly when He speaks. It pays to know the voice of the Lord and respond promptly when He speaks. It pays to do what He wants you to do when He wants it done.

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for your wisdom, glory, grace, power, and the divine enablement you've imparted to my spirit so as to live the victorious Christian life, every day. By your Spirit, I'm divinely positioned to fulfil my destiny in Christ, fruitful in the ministry of reconciliation, to the glory of your Name, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

You Must Keep Bearing Fruits - Monday, May 23

Pastor Chris

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down (Luke 13:6-9).

The scripture above is a parable told by the Lord Jesus Christ with which He emphasized the importance of fruitfulness in God's Kingdom. The owner of the vineyard had come seeking fruit from a particular fig tree, but there was none. Then he said to the vinedresser, "Cut it down." The vinedresser, however, pleaded for more time to cultivate the tree some more, perhaps eventually it'd produce fruits. Otherwise, it could be cut down.

The tree was of no value in the vineyard if it wouldn't produce any fruits. In the same way, the Christian is a tree of righteousness in the Lord's vineyard and is expected to be productive (Isaiah 61:3). A Christian that's not producing fruits of righteousness is like the fig tree which the owner of the vineyard said should be cut down, and to which he said, "...why cumbereth it the ground?"
(Luke 13:7). In other words, why waste good ground for an unproductive tree?

Some Christians have been born again for a very long time, yet they've never led a soul to Christ; they've never brought someone else to church. That's like the unproductive fig tree. If perhaps, you've been that way, you must make a change today! First, ask the Lord to forgive you. Then, ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you to witness to someone today about Jesus Christ. Start from today to tell others about Jesus, who He is to you, and His saving grace.

Paul said, "For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead" (2 Corinthians 5:14). Be passionate about bearing fruits for the Lord, because He desires that of you.

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for the opportunity to be inspired and instructed by your Word. I'm like a well-watered garden, fruitful at all times. I'm the fruit-bearing part of God's vine and I'm producing durable fruits; fruits of righteousness, because I'm a tree of righteousness, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Further Study:

Christianity EtcReviewing Christian Apologetics Vs Christian Activism by Gombs(op):
I would like to take time to review the above subject, and though it will take a period of time to finish up, a start isn't out of place. For the benefit of those who may find this topic strange, I'd take time to define some of the terms above. Note however, that my definition and opinion are from the standpoint of the word.

According to wikipedia, Christian apologetics is a field of Christian theology that presents reasoned bases for Christianity, defending Christianity against objections.

I'd however take the definition of a well learned man I know.

Apologetics refers to a systematic argumentative discourse in defence of the gospel or doctrine.

The results of apologetics are clear for us to see, and it has no doubt failed over the years. Wikipedia and some other folks referred to Paul as an apologetic, this I will treat later on in this discourse. However, it is worthy to note that the days of Christian Apologetics is over, and it is amazing that all theological schools have courses for Christian Apologetics, but NONE offer Christian Activism, because few know that Jesus, Paul, the apostles and all the Prophets were Activists, while the others are in the dark of what Apologetics and Activism is. Christians are activists by nature, message and calling, we were never 'designed' to be silent.

Activism on the other hand is a doctrine that emphasises direct vigorous actions or confrontation. This has nothing to do with violence.

Christians MUST understand that the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is NOT an opinion, it is a command, and we've got to let the world know. Why must Christian be whipped around first before they stand up and speak? Why are we apologetic about the gospel?

Christian Activism is the purest form of what we could term Islamic fanaticism. Any Christian who refused to protest in the face of injustice is stupid! Jesus was an activist, and there are instances dotted all over the bible. Firstly, let's look at Matthew 21:10-16 and Mark 11:15-16. For sake of long post, I would not quote them, but they were instances where Jesus was protesting, demanding and advocating. Another example is in Mark 3:1-7. He didn't do these to drag position, He simply showed the people He wasn't a push over, and what was right to do was supposed to be done rightly. He showed how transformation can occur!

It was clear Jesus wasn't the quiet type (I am not saying he was loquacious)
-he debated Jewish rabbis.
-he fed the hungry and poor.
-he stopped the stoning of a woman.
-he expressed compassion towards others, and encouraged his followers to treat others with compassion.
-he showed his distaste for the money changers and lenders, by upturning their tables in the temple (a single man, He wasn't with an army, his disciples didn't help Him..you should imagine the fury and dominance, for the bible says HE did not let any man take a vessel through the temple).

Wasn't Jesus showing others that participating actively to bring about a better world is necessary?

Time will fail me to write about Paul! But, there are certain important things necessary for one to be a Christian Activist.

1. CONVICTION: You must be resolved, resolute and firm about your stance on the Gospel of Jesus. This of course makes the devil mark you as a target. The muslim radicals are ready to blow themselves up for what they believe in, even as wrong as it is, but it is an inspiring example of firm resolve for what you believe in ( I am in no way saying Christians should embrace violence as a means of change, I'm saying speaking up in a direct, confrontational and vigorous action.

a little example, Fuel price was shot up, and no explanation to Nigerians how much was the said subsidy and why was it said that no subsidy existed during the 2012 protest. I'm not for or against the increase, buy Why must the citizens of Nigeria be made to suffer the mismanagement of the economy? The fact that some are ok with the price and play coy, what about those who can't? This is where Christian leadership fail me in Nigeria.

No single protest, and if it is done, it is a press conference in an apologetic manner! The Church leadership in Nigeria has being mute over sensitive issues, leaving Christianity looking like a team of sorry people. The recent Kaduna brouhaha was not addressed as it should in a firm, direct and confrontational manner... but take in contrast when we tried to speak up against Child- Bride, see how the Muslim folks went about it, and the said Senator had the nerves to say his religion is superior to the constitution of a secular nation as Nigeria, yet the Nigerian Church leadership was mute.

these need to change, and fast! The church has to rise up, knowing they are the ground and pillar of truth...the light of the world.

DON’T BE QUICK-TEMPERED.

(Always Be Slow To Anger)

TO THE  BIBLE  Proverbs 14:17 CEV

“Fools have quick tempers, and no one likes you if you can’t be trusted.”

LET’S TALK.

Numbers chapter twelve gives God’s testimony of Moses as being the meekest man that lived on the face of the earth (Numbers 12:3). He couldn’t hurt a fly, so to speak. However, the one time he got angry, it cost him a whole lot, including his ministry. God had told him to speak to the rock to bring out water for the children of Israel (Number 20:cool, but in his anger at the stubbornness of the Israelites, “…Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly…” (Numbers 20:11). The Lord’s response to Moses’ quick-tempered behaviour was that he wouldn’t lead the Israelites into the land promised them (Numbers 20:12). He got a “red card” for losing his temper.

One of the things the Lord seeks to accomplish in your life is to have His love fully expressed through you, such that you’re patient, meek, kind, and not easily provoked to anger. He knows that, as you go about your daily routine, interacting with family, friends, neighbours , colleagues, etc., situations may arise that could get you really upset. The Scriptures say, “People with a hot temper do foolish things; wiser people remain calm” (Proverbs 14:17 GNB).

Being hotheaded could cause you to do silly things or make remarks that you’d regret later on. Instead of responding in anger, do what the Bible says: “…Be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get angry” (James 1:19 CEV).
God wants you to be slow to anger, because no one with a bad temper ever succeeds permanently in life. So, take charge of your emotions, and let God’s love fill your heart and be fully expressed through you.

Alive By The Spirit - Sunday, May 22nd

Pastor Chris

*But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11).*

1 Peter 1:23 says, *"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."* God gave birth to us by the Word, through the Spirit. You're not an ordinary person. The human life you received from your parents has been replaced, supplanted, by the divine life of Christ.

Often, I tell people that Christianity is more than a legal document; it's a vital experience; there's a true life from Christ beating in your heart. The natural man (the person who's not born again) lives by blood, but a Christian lives by the Spirit. No wonder Jesus, referring to the new creation, said, *"...if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them...."* (Mark 16:18).

The blood that's flowing through your veins isn't what's keeping you alive. "What then is the importance of the blood?" you may ask. Well, the blood testifies of your humanity. Leviticus 17:11 says, *"For the life of the flesh is in the blood...."* Hence, the redemption of man was by the shedding of blood.

However, in the New Testament, the life of your flesh is no longer your blood but the Spirit (read our opening verse again). There's no sickness or disease strong enough to ravage your body. Sickness and disease attack the blood, and destroy the body.

But your life isn't dependent on blood: *"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: WHICH WERE BORN, NOT OF BLOOD, NOR OF THE WILL OF THE FLESH, NOR OF THE WILL OF MAN, BUT OF GOD"* (John 1:12-13).

Have this consciousness. It doesn't matter the symptoms that may try to fasten themselves on your body, you're alive and healthy by the Holy Spirit.

Confession...
I'm a new creation in Christ, with the life and nature of God at work in my spirit! My entire being is inundated by the divine life that flows in every fibre of my being, every cell of my blood, and every bone of my body. I live over and above sickness, the devil, and the rudiments of this world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

PRECIOUS IN GOD’S SIGHT!

(You’re A Priceless Gem And Delightful Treasure!)

TO THE  BIBLE  Luke 15:7

“I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.”

LET’S TALK.

As the scripture above reveals, all of heaven rejoices over a single soul that receives salvation. This shows you know how important every human person on the face of the earth is to the Lord. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” He loved the world of humans, and that includes you. Now, you need to know this: you’re important to God, precious, and treasured. He loves you as an individual; He knows you by name and knows where you live.

He paid the heftiest of prices—the blood of His Son Jesus Christ—for your salvation: “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:18-19 NIV). This means you’re worth the precious blood of Jesus Christ and His most priceless gem.

When you walk every day with the consciousness that you’re important to God, it will inspire boldness and confidence in your spirit. You’ll think like a victor, walk with your head high and dominate your world as a king. You’ll know that nothing is impossible to you, because you’re a joint-heir with Christ. See yourself in this light; think, talk, and act as one who’s important to God, indispensable, valuable, and precious in God’s sight because you sure are!

God's Word—The Seed Of Divine Life - Saturday, May 21

Pastor Chris

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever (1 Peter 1:23).

The Bible declares that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. That's significant because the life of a human being comes from the man, and not from the woman. Howbeit, the body of a human being comes from the woman. It's therefore something extraordinary for Jesus to be born of a virgin. Where did His life come from? It came from the Word.

The angel brought words from God to the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:35). Mary believed and received the Word (the see of God), and the Holy Spirit came upon her to conceive the child without the agency of the seed of man. The Word of God is the seed of God (Luke 8:11); that's the seed of divine life, just as the life of an orange tree is in that little orange seed.

When you receive God's Word, you receive the life of whatever it talks about; whatever you're hearing from God is the seed to produce in you, or for you, what it talks about. For example, when we preach and teach divine healing, the hearer receives the seed of healing and it produces healing and health. Likewise, when we teach God's Word on the subject of finances, it produces seed of financial blessings and miracles. That's the power of God's Word!

Christianity is no religion. Jesus Christ was the Word of God made flesh (John 1:14). We also were born again by the same seed (Word). That's what we read in our opening verse. You have the same life as God Himself, because you're born of the Word—God's indestructible seed (1 Peter 1:23).

You're not born of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:13). This is what makes your origin divine. 1 John 4:4 says, "Ye are of God, little children...," meaning that you hail from God; you're a partaker of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Glory to God!

Confession...
I'm born of the Word and Spirit of the Lord, therefore, I'm impregnable to anything that hurts or binds, because I hail from God! I've overcome the devil and his cohorts of darkness, for the greater One dwells in me! I have the nature of God; I'm more than a conqueror; I'm an associate of the God-kind, and I'm living triumphantly every day, through Christ Jesus.

EASY AND SIMPLE.

(Don’t Complicate Your Life).

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD.

Friday, May 20th 2016.

TO THE  BIBLE  Matthew 11:28-30 CEV

“If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light.”

LET’S TALK.

T he Lord Jesus came to give you rest from your burdens and make your life easy and simple. He came to give you a life of peace, prosperity, and sweet serenity in the midst of a harsh and troubled world. He came to show you how to win each and every day.

In John 16:33, He said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” He overcame the world, not just for Himself, but for you also. He did it and gave you the victory. He also gave you the authority in His Name, so you’ll be able to keep satan under your feet.

Don’t complicate your life by struggling and trying to make things work by your human efforts. Settle instead in the Word and rest in the Father’s love. Rely on the Holy Spirit to help you in your journey of success, for He is your ever-present Helper. You need not run frantically to people for help; there’s no point staying up late at night worrying about your challenges. Understand that God cares about you.

Remember, He told you to cast your cares upon Him, because He affectionately cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 AMP). As long as you hold on to the cares of this life, it would be difficult for you to enjoy God’s rest and live a fulfilled life. Therefore, choose today to enjoy the easy life in Christ, for that’s the life Jesus brought.

The Divine Order - Friday, May 20

Pastor Chris

For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order (1 Chronicles 15:13).

There's such a thing as divine order. Order here, is a prescribed form of religious service or rite. Through the scriptures, we see that the Lord established definite orders and patterns for different services of spiritual importance. Even the ministries and offices of the prophets, priests, and kings had divine orders guiding their actions and in relation to one another.

In 1 Corinthians 14:40, the Spirit said through the Apostle Paul, "Let all things be done decently and in order." When Moses was about to make the tabernacle, God admonished him to make everything according to the prescribed order: "...Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount" (Hebrews 8:5).

There's a pattern; there's a way; there's a prescribed order in doing the things of God; follow it and you'll experience His grace and blessings in your life and in your service to Him. To do otherwise is to walk against His perfect will, like what happened to David and the children of Israel when they didn't follow the prescribed order in moving the ark of God into the city of David. The repercussion was grievous (Read 2 Samuel 6:1-10).

Follow God's Word. Carry out His instructions according to the prescribed order. Don't break ranks. Don't have your own way. When instructions are given to you in the house of God, not only are you required to act on them swiftly, let it also be according to the divine order.

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for the ability of your Word in my spirit. I'm a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. The results of living in, and by the Word are evidently manifested in every area of my life today, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Proverbs 19:20
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

1 Samuel 15:22
And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

The Word Brings You Visions - Thursday, May 19

Pastor Chris

And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be (Genesis15:5).

The Word of God brings visions to your spirit. It’s one of the important benefits and impactful ministries of the Word of God in our lives. When you hear God’s Word, watch out for the visions that it brings to you, the spiritual visions, and revelations that it conveys; accept them, and they’ll profit you. Spiritual visions from God come to your spirit when you hear or study the Word. It’s the reason a man can see himself healed, once the Word of God for healing comes to his spirit. And when he acts, on the basis of that vision produced in his spirit by the Word, he’ll jump out of the wheel chair, or stretcher, as the case may be, and start doing the things he couldn’t do prior to hearing the Word. We see such all the time in our meetings.

Many who were carried into the auditorium, sick, and unable to walk, suddenly start running and jumping. Many of them, in their testimony say, “I just saw myself walking and running, as I listened to the Word, so I acted accordingly.” When the Word brings visions to you, hold the picture and act accordingly. It’s one of the reasons you must soak yourself in the Word. Give yourself completely to the Word of God.

Revelations, manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit, and several other blessings are activated in your life, when you listen and pay attention to the Word.

Prayer...
Dear Father,I thank you for the vision of the Spirit that comes to me through your Word .Thank you for the manifestation of the gifts and blessings of the Spirit that are activated in me even now, through the ministry and power of your Word in my heart, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
