Why do you think so?Abuja is in the center and easily accessible by all regions, it is more accommodating than Lagos. SW is not safe for other regions, it will only give Yorubas leverage to harass other Nigerians
Aile:
The headquarters shouldn't have been relocated to Abuja in the first place. Lagos is the economic center of the nation

This should go to Yorubas that have the boldness to ask fellow citizens to go back to their regions

Nonsense and ingredients
Africans should grow beyond this nonsense entitlement mentality, everyone is only native to his/her fathers compound
If you reside in any city around the world for some period of years automatically you become a native of that place, that's how all big city in the world where made

But why is Yoruba harassing other tribes?

Politics › Re: Natives Deplore Domination Of Lagos By Non-indigenes by Good2go1: 6:59pm On Jan 18, 2024
So you guys are strangers in Lagos, why asking other tribes to go back when yourselves are also strangers
lilytender:
They are MAD. The only natives if Lagos are the Eguns, any other group claiming natives should be prosecuted for attempted usurpation.

I am an Egba man, my family came from the current Ogun State into Lagos. The Aworis are from far away current Osun. The Ijebus including the Ikorodus and Epes are never Lagos indegenes. The Kwarans who have dominated Lagos for years came from fat away because there was and there is still nothing in their state, likewise the Edos.

The Brazilian and Ivory Coast slaves that were dumped in Lagos by the slave merchants will never ever become Lagos indegenes, that is why one cursed Shinedu Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour was abusing his forefathers in Brazil the other time. Brazilians will always be Brazilians.

Only the Eguns can legitimately claim to be indegenes of Lagos. Unfortunately for the Eguns, we Egbas, the Aworis and the usurping Kwarans have relegated the Eguns because the Eguns did not embrace Western Education in time

Greedy tribe they want all our common wealth to be in their land later they will begin to ask other regions whose resources was used to go back to their regions. God will punish the selfish and greedy people
successmatters:
I think this is very necessary, Abuja have become too dangerous and a security threat to flyers, so we should move it to Lagos.

The whole county is looking at Tinubu to do the right things and correct IBB mistake.

We can fit the federal secretariat, and the entire ministry of interior in Ikorodu. This will decongest Abuja and make it less lucrative for criminals.

Another reason is that since Abuja residents never vote for apc, their population are better to stay in Lagos, where MC. Will be helping them to make the correct voting decisions grin

Politics › Re: CBN Moves Departments To Lagos State by Good2go1: 4:11am On Jan 14, 2024
They safety is better off in Abuja than Lago. tomorrow they will start asking them to go back to regions or beat them during election for not voting APC
ecolime:
Why was their new Lagos head office built in the First instance? Sanusi Lamido even fitted it with an helipad. The building is wasting away till date. I still have pictures of their empty offices with me as I speak.

They are better off situated in Lagos than Abuja because almost all Banks are headquartered in Lagos.

One key function of CBN is Banking services supervision. You can't do that effectively when your H/O is in Abuja.

These CBN guys travel down to Lagos almost everyday and then raise crazy expense claims on Travel, flight, hotel Accomodation, local estacodes to the tune of several millions.

These leakages should be plugged.

N.B: My position is not borne out of tribalism.

#Bitter fact

These 3 agencies absolutely have no business in Abuja.

1. CBN
2. NNPC
3. FAAN (Aviation)

Report ranks Nigeria 22nd country with cheapest petrol
7th January 2024

By Makua Ubanagu

A new report has revealed vast differences in gasoline costs across the world, with Nigeria ranked 22nd in the cheapest petrol price category globally.

The report titled ‘Global Petrol Prices, Octane-95, January 1, 2024’, as posted on their website, also revealed some countries paying over 100 times more for petrol.

“The average price of gasoline around the world is 1.29 US Dollars per litre. However, there is a substantial difference in these prices among countries.

“As a general rule, richer countries have higher prices while poorer countries and the countries that produce and export oil have significantly lower prices. One notable exception is the U.S. which is an economically advanced country but has low gas prices.

“The differences in prices across countries are due to the various taxes and subsidies for gasoline. All countries have access to the same petroleum prices of international markets but then decide to impose different taxes. As a result, the retail price of gasoline is different,” the report said.

According to data compiled by Global Petrol Prices and presented on a chart in the report, as of January 2024, Iran has the world’s cheapest gasoline at just $0.029 (N26.52) per litre, while Hong Kong has the highest price at $3.101 (N2,835.77) per litre.

Several major oil-producing countries, including Libya, Venezuela, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, enjoy very low domestic fuel costs. Iran tops the list at $0.029 (N26.52), followed by Libya at $0.031 (N28.35) and Venezuela at $0.035 (N32.01).

At the other end of the spectrum are cities and countries with high taxes on fuel. Hong Kong tops the ranking with gasoline at $3.101 (N2,835.77) per litre. Prices in Europe are consistently higher, with drivers in Monaco paying $2.353 (N2,151.75) and those in Norway paying $2.052 (N1,876.49).

Among other sample countries, the United States came in at $0.911 (N833.08) per litre, putting it near the global average of $1.30 (N1,188.81). Nigeria stands at $0.722 (N660.25), Brazil at $1.150 (N1,051.64), and India at $1.252 (N1,144.92).

According to data from the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, Nigeria has struggled to meet its expected oil production levels in recent months.

As of November 2023, Nigeria remained Africa’s largest oil producer, churning out 1.37 million barrels per day, according to secondary sources tracked by OPEC. However, Nigeria’s self-reported production figures directly to OPEC for November showed output of only 1.25 million barrels per day.

“According to secondary sources, total OPEC-13 crude oil production averaged 27.84mb/d in November 2023, lower by 57 tb/d, m-o-m. Crude oil output increased mainly in Venezuela, Libya, and Kuwait, while production in Iraq, Angola, and Nigeria decreased,” OPEC said in its December 2023 report.

Some of the countries listed and their prices, according to Global Petrol Prices, Octane-95, January 1, 2024, are (in no particular order):

Iran: $0.029
